That Heroic vs Liquid series almost went to a 2-0 but Team Liquid clutched up in OT and then they fell short in the decider map. I'm expecting Faze takes out NiP on the other match that's going on right now so we'd have a more interesting grand final and it'll be a rematch from the group stages.
Faze and NIP won their chosen maps and are now on to the third map. Faze was able to win Nuke in the overtime. They proved that they are very adept in CT in Nuke as they overcome a 14-7 lead by NiP, forced an overtime and win in the end. They have regained their confidence after a horrible loss in Overpass. Mirage will be their deciding map. With the confidence of Faze this high going to third map, NiP is in big trouble. |

I really don't understand what is going on with Natus Vincere these days. They are eliminated in another tournament officially. I was believing in them against NIP. Because NIP were also a not very consistent team for a long time and I thought Natus Vincere would defeat them thanks to their quality. But they failed on the decider map by 16-10. s1mple wasn't ahead with his statistics this time. When he doesn't do an extra job the team struggle even more. es3tag and Brollan had the biggest role in NIP's win on this map by the way.
I'm thinking about if FaZe's end could also be like Natus Vincere's. Because they are not in a very different condition than them recently. Whichever team win this matchup they are going to be Heroic's opponent in the grand final. The grand final winner goes to the World Final but the loser is just taking the money.
NiP just won the first map against Faze. I thought Faze had it when they were rolling into the bombsite round after round, until that great lurks from aleksib that catches Faze off guard. Props to karrigan for the strats that are really cancer when it comes to taking A site in OVP, but the Ninjas easily figure out how that rotation works and they just shut down Faze since round 22 up until they won the map. Now I'm kinda rooting for a Heroic - NiP grand finals because of how well the latter is performing. We will see, Overpass is NIP pick, so I am actually expecting them to perform well on it. They were almost beaten at it though. Nuke is Faze pick, so I expect Faze to completely dominate this map. I am expecting the third map on this matchup. I do not think Faze will struggle in Mirage. This match could still go either way. I just hope they were not demoralized too much by how they lost in Overpass. If they do, that will spell disaster in their comeback in Nuke. They are having a good start with 3-0. Good sign for Faze. |

I do not understand these players going down this much. Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony, Demarcus Cousins, these were all good players that ended up with being so terrible after a while when they aged that they failed to find even a bench spot in the NBA. I mean really? They cannot even be played in some 10th man position? Like do not give them even any minutes when the game is close, just give them time if there is a garbage time.
This shows that they are not wanted in the locker room neither, because they are surely accepting vet minimum right now and not even offered that, and a talent like them for vet minimum is a bargain, so it must be about locker room issues.
One, maybe they are just too old for the league. Then, there is an abundance of talent out there that could fill a roster better than them. It is not like they did not have their time in NBA. They had their own era and they dominated it in their prime. Their time is up, it is time for the younger players to take their place. There are very few in their batch that is left in the NBA. Lebron is very lucky he can still play at a high level because of how he is blessed with a body and how he took care of it. The problem with the Lakers tonight is their turnovers. 22 turnovers are very high and if you want to enter the playoffs then at least lessen the average turnovers per game. What's even worse is even though Lakers got 22 turnovers, the Spurs didn't maximize on that one because they are one of the worst defensive teams right now in the league.
Are you saying that the worst defensive team forced 22 turnovers on the Lakers? That is a big problem for the Lakers to fix. If a less defensive team can do this, how much damage a defensive team can do against them? However, these days they added poole and wiggins which are at a much higher level and they so much, Curry is playing like it's one of his best seasons ever even at his older age, and we are seeing the team growing so much together. I am guessing that it's not going to be easy but they do have a chance to win the title again if they get better on defence.
You are right, defense is the key to warriors' success. Just like last year, they should have a good defensive man on the floor. They are overpowered in offense especially when 3's are going in. Between Curry, Klay, and Poole, they are already an offensive powerhouse. They needed someone that could replace what GP2 have done to them last year. I do not know in the current roster who can take that place, but Kerr should train one or acquire one. |

TBH, even if Jordan Clarkson and Brownlee will play alongside each other on the FIBA'23, we will still be having a hard time winning games in that big tournament.
I definitely agree with that but at least our team will be more competitive, I'm not expecting they'll win most games but watching them give their opponent a hard time, would already make the fans happy. I now remember the old Gilas with TR47, they don't win most games but they are fun to watch. Basketball program in other country is so advance while in Philippines they seems stuck with the old system so its nor surprising at all that they will lose on big games knowing that they are so underdog on that tournament. But at least the experience is so good and we can see our flag been raised battling on sports which is number 1 love by Filipinos so for sure even we know that they will lose on power house country still the excitement of fans still there because many are curious to know if they can defeat or make the life of Nba stars hard in the court. I think that's not the case, what I believe the problem is our height because if you look at the international games, you can tell the height average of other nations are taller than ours, so with their physicality, we can never beat them. It is the combination of a lot of things. We are not naturally equipped for basketball because of our height but we are slowly getting taller. We have a lot of natural Filipinos that have grown past 7 feet over the years. There is a lack of government support and programs that will train our athletes from grassroots to be competitive enough to be able to compete abroad. Our game style also needs improving and updating.

Based on recent rumors, it seems like DeMarcus Cousins will be playing in Taiwan with Dwight Howard soon.
Actually, it was not a rumor but it was close to happening. DeMarcus Cousins will play in Taiwan’s T1 League. What remains unofficial is what team he will play. But one thing is for sure, he will continue his basketball career in Taiwan. At least, he won't remain vacant and idle for long as he really still has that good playing level although unable to fully compete with today's NBA. Taiwan is starting to become the go to place of ex-NBA players huh. Players from Taiwan will learn a lot from these players. This will improve their skills drastically in the future. I wonder, if this continues, how long before Taiwan become a superpower in basketball in Asia. West on the other hand seems to be unpredictable. Many teams are shockingly better than the teams we expected to dominate this season.
It is still too early too to tell anyway. The teams are still under 20 games in the season. A lot can still change. Sometimes a trade or an injury will suddenly change the landscape of a conference. Maybe we wait until after the All-star season before we can see who the real dominant teams in the West are. I think if LeBron James joins the equation as you said, this team is likely to get far better in my opinion. Obviously, if the players start playing well as a team and everyone on the team starts contributing, the star players are going to have less pressure on them. When the players know that there are other players who can come in the clutch, it will be easier for them to perform freely. That will relieve them of a lot of burden. Anthony Davis, Walker, Westbrook, and LeBron James are all set to make the team very strong together. I just hope that the players stay healthy.
That is yet to be proven though. They were losing when Lebron was around and controlling the ball. They are winning when Lebron is sidelined, and the ball has a good rotation. I think Lebron needs to step back and let the young guys take control of the ball. He is still good but becomes a liability in defense when he is on the floor and hogs the ball for stats. That is ruining the team. |

I do not think OG announced a replacement for ATF yet, so maybe Ana can go part-time in OG in the meantime. He has been part-timing everywhere but has not found a real home since OG. I think it is time he goes back to OG. I would also like to see Kuku as a coach or if he can shift to a support role although they already had TIMS and eyyou. Who will be the captain of Blacklist? Kuku or is it going to be eyyou?
I think Kuku is better off focusing on Offlane. We already saw him captain T1 last season, and it did not go well. His picks are very predictable and go for the same strategy over and over even though it is not bulletproof. We do not want the same tragedy to happen in a newly formed team. Eyyou can take over as captain. They did not announce a coach in their announcement so if they do, that could make a big difference in the upcoming tournaments. Hopefully they pick a great one. Hopefully they don't fall off like TNC. The problem with TNC is that tjey never pushed their players hard enough and supported them hard enough to make an actual difference for their players who are, back then, hungry for tournaments and wins. I remember after their first TI and good placing, eventually dropping Miracle and co., they somehow settled with that win and didn't attend/join much of the minor tournaments for the grind. Hopefully Tryke and Alodia changes that, as we see in their ML squad they are pretty hands-on and supportive of the players they have.
This is a bigger investment and has bigger tournaments so I think they will be even more involved in this one. They know that grind is important so I believe we will see them in more tournaments. Hopefully, they qualify for TI in their first year as a team. |

I think I am one of the unluckiest gambler/bettor out here, today is one of my worst days again and I think I should quit betting.
I went all in on Argentina thinking their match against Saudi Arabia would be an easy win for them, and the fact that the odds were so far away against Saudi Arabia winning while it was in huge favor of Argentina caused me to be so sure that Argentina was going to win the match, and then, I went all in, hoping to make some big wins just like yesterday, but now, everything is gone, in just a twinkle of an eye...
Argentina is a big disappointment, It's still hard to believe, I quit betting until I am able to forget this experience entirely.

I've seen fan pages earlier that have posted their roster prediction and it is obviously edited and pure speculation but I'm amazed that the speculative poster where the exactly the Blacklist international roster which were posted 6 hours apart. What an amazing community predicting who will be the Blacklist roster will be. This will be a sure hype for Filipino fans since it's a Filipino made team and yeah the communication isn't a problem and addition to that 3 out of 5 players where competed in the TI at the same team which is famous for the OG upset in 2016. I'm pretty glad that they signed kuku and others Filipino members to build that kind of team. It is dubbed as the Filipino redeem team, so it is supposed to be an all-Filipino team. I hope they get their target and that is to put an all-Filipino team back into TI. And not just back in TI but maybe finished at the top. I know many Filipinos will support this team since their CEO have a lot of followers. Even their ML counterpart has a lot of followers as well. It will surely put a lot of confidence to the players if they know a lot of their Filipino fans are supporting them. I’m surprised that Kuku is still being given value to still form a team like this. I think should just do coach role instead of doing offlane since he is not effective anymore on competitive play. He is just a burden most of the time if his hero feed on laning phase. BlackList surely expanding now to Dota2 right after dominating the ML.  Maybe give him a chance first. But do we have any information on who will coach this team? Anthony Davis is having momentum right now, he plays better when he is given the space and priority. It will be short-lived though once Lebron return's as the ball-handler and decision-maker.
However, they are winning at those teams with below .005. The real test is against those teams that are currently playing well right now in the season. It's good though that they are winnings and that's what matters. I also hoped that Anthony Davis's dominance in their last 3 games will be consistent. I also like to give credit to Russell Westbrook for their recent winnings. He have lots of good assists on those games and some of those aren't even simple dish. Good to know that Russell Westbrook has found a way to contribute to the Laker's win. It seems that the slash against WB has died down a bit since the Lakers are winning again. Hope he can focus more in his game now that he is not receiving too much criticism from social media. He is not scoring that much with the minutes he is given but at least he is consistent with assists and rebounds. I guess that is his new role now in the Lakers. Just let Davis be the main man and be the role player coming from the bench. It is working so he should get used to it. LeBron may not be what he used to be, but I still think he's king. We should also realize that NBA is as much about winning as it is about being a business. Los Angeles could lose many games, and yet they are still Los Angeles, remember those last Kobe years and afterwards until Lebron came, they were missing playoffs for like 7 years or something, and yet they were profitable business, and with Lebron and another title, even if they end up with just 30 wins this year, they will be a greatly profitable business for TV income, advertisements, and tickets etc, because Lebron is there. We need to grow up and realize players have value more than what they bring as stats, they are just money making machines and that’s what matters. That is right. I checked and even though they did not make it to the playoffs last year, the Lakers were still able to net $316 Million in income. Not bad for a team not making it to the playoffs. Lebron is still a cash cow even though his production in the court has slowed down. Yeah, there are too many denied a visa if the games are held in the USA. This prevents teams from performing on their best level since they need substitution to fill up their roster. And with the penalty bumped up, this will greatly affect teams with players that are denied their visa.
I read that TorontoTokyo is recently playing Pub matches using support heroes. There are rumors that TorontoTokyo is looking to create a new team with Nightfall and Save- after their disappointing finish in the recently concluded TI 2022. TorontoTokyo is still in contract with Team Spirit but because of their finish in TI, there might be a roster change in Team Spirit. Larl is seen practicing with the team in place of TorontoTokyo. If they drop TorontoTokyo and he creates a new team, he might play support in this new team. He mostly played mid in his professional career so this move will be a big adjustment. |

I reckon that they are about to trade him, it's just that they are not getting any good package in return that's why he wasn't traded. Who knew that the newly renovated team will work so fine, they are expected to tank this season but the opposite thing happened as they are now leading the Western Conference. Anyway, there's no need to give so much hopes on this roster because they are just new and it won't be a big deal if they will choke in the playoffs.
Jazz got lucky they were not able to trade him. He is performing very well and is in his prime right now. He will be carrying this team to the playoffs. I do not expect them to get past the 2nd round since they are in the West, but even just reaching the playoffs is already a good achievement for them. Clarkson still has two years (including this year) with the Jazz. I wonder if the Jazz will extend his contract if he continues to show this kind of game with them. Or will they still trade him and continue with the original plan of rebuilding this team? He is still very young and can elevate to a superstar status if he continues to show improvement. |

You are right, you never bet against the Ginebra in a Sunday game as usually, they will win, either from a strong come back or a dominant win. I still remember when they have a strong comeback after trailing a double-digit points against the SMB, I was discourage that time because I though SMB would already get the win.
This is my mistake, even though I am a Ginebra fan, I bet on TNT that game because I thought that TNT will force a win against Ginebra. They almost did it though. Lesson learned, never bet against BGSM on a Sunday. I lost both bets this Sunday. First with Converge and then on TNT. It is just not my day. The round-robin is almost over. There are only 12 remaining games before the playoffs begin. I guess the Bay Area Dragons are secured of their top spot and twice-to-beat advantage. Since Ginebra won the game against TNT, they bumped up to the third spot in the rankings. They have a chance to snatch the #2 spot from Magnolia if they win most of their remaining games. |

If the Lakers will win against the Suns without Lebron, that will say a lot about his capability and leadership in the team. They may even say he is becoming a liability since he is just chasing stats right now.

I know that there are a lot of controversies surrounding the Nets with the Irving drama, but report says that he is back against the Memphis so this is the first time that I will be backing them up at -7.5. Ja Morant is in question in tonight's game.
I read also in NBC sports that he has completed all requirements and is now cleared to play against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Brooklyn Nets finished 5-3 in the games that Kyrie Irving is out because of the tweet. They have become a better defender when Irving was out, but their offense has become unstable. With the return of Irving, he will stabilize the offense with how great he is at creating shots, but they will sacrifice defense. But I guess, since Ben Simmons is showing some life again after a long time, maybe he could be the anchor of the defense.
