2061  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-25]Bitcoin Holds Over $8,000 as Top Altcoins See Minor Losses on: May 26, 2019, 02:39:35 PM

Seems like bitcoin is taking some rest in the $8,000 zone and many analysts are looking at it with some approving eyes. There is a big chance that days from now as we are entering the month of June, bitcoin can be saving all of its energy and might for the next battle ahead and that is going to $8,300 to $8,500 level. The overall market sentiment remains bullish for bitcoin and the expectation is that it should be able to breach the $9,000 area before the end of June. So far, this is one of the best bull run I am seeing no need for rush but definitely our star is staying on the game.

2064  Other / Off-topic / Re: Leaked: This is how crypto Youtubers are scamming crypto companies on: May 26, 2019, 12:17:04 PM

Of course, this is coming naturally in an industry where identity thief is becoming so common. Anybody can pretend to be somebody famous and then enlarge your fan base and by the time you build the audience offer your services to be a social media influencer to many cryptocurrency-related projects. Very logical. And then money flows. The only problem is that you are dealing with fakes here. And it is amazing how many were hoodwinked for these offers. But I guess there were also many scammers who got scammed by these fake accounts...there is a little justice here.
2065  Other / Off-topic / Do You Dream of Starting Your Own Cryptocurrency Someday? on: May 26, 2019, 12:06:52 PM

We all have our dreams or the things that we wanted to accomplish before our time will end in this physical world we are living. Usually, those dreams are connected with our personal ambitions and of course there are dreams for our immediate family and even for our own people and country.

Now, since we are all in the world of cryptocurrency, do you dream that maybe someday you can start or be a part of a group that will start a cryptocurrency or even a token of a certain project?

I have a dream of offering a token for a cacao farming that I might slowly establish here in my place. The project involves 50-hectare of land for permaculture with cacao as the primary crop as well as establishing a community for it.

What about you?
2066  Other / Off-topic / Re: Interview With STASIS CEO & Founder | decentraLIVE on: May 26, 2019, 11:49:32 AM

There is no question that stablecoins are making a big wave in the recent months and there is a great future for this type of cryptocurrency. However, as what is said in the interview there are controversy on this platform like the news surrounding the Tether and company plus the concern of some that they are essentially selling like thin air with no real value backing them. I am excited how stablecoin like Statis can proved these concerns wrong and how they can be affecting and working with the banking industry but I see some great potential on this arena.
2067  Other / Off-topic / Re: Facebook Crypto currency on: May 26, 2019, 11:37:16 AM
Facebook has no chance

It Does. The reason for it? Billions of Dollars by Suckerberg would ensure it's survival. It could rival BTC

Yes, of course. Don't let no man forget that Facebook and its other social media sites stand for billions of dollars of revenue sales per year. This is a machine of money and Facebook can easily attract investors into its side. Investors will be joining this project like the flies to the dead meat. With Mark's Midas touch I am sure this can be big but we don't have to worry since this will not rival nor kill bitcoin. Yes, if I have some money and if the crowdfunding is done, I will buy some because I can use it for Facebook ads anyway.
2068  Other / Off-topic / Re: When Satoshi Nakamoto Can Be You on: May 26, 2019, 11:27:07 AM
I would do the same as Satoshi. Anonymity is actually the greatest possible protection in the world today. If people knew his identity, he would have major problems with the authorities, IRS, media etc.

Nice choice. Actually there are many people who are saying that Satoshi Nakamoto made the right decision of going underground as life can be unbearable for him if he did not, considering how big bitcoin has become today. This is also one reason why I don't believe that Craig Wright is the real Satoshi as this man is a media attention getter and he is a lover of so much publicity by doing and saying controversial things a far cry from the persona we can see and determine in the works of the real Satoshi.
2069  Other / Off-topic / Re: 200$ to one ICO on: May 26, 2019, 11:16:28 AM

I am seconding the suggestion that you go for an IEO project but make sure that it is done in a credible and big cryptocurrency exchange otherwise it can just be an ICO in disguise, which price will plummet after the crowdfunding is done. You can look at the Binance Launchpad but then they require for you to also hold some BNB and as what happened with Harmony it is done via lottery because of the volume of interest from the Binance membership base. Now, aside from Binance, I am sure you can find another good exchange having an IEO. Look at the project if it has a good potential for growth, adoption and expansion plus a good team behind the project. Plus increase your $200 and make it $500 at least. Sorry for many suggestions.
2070  Other / Off-topic / Re: WeChat Messenger for business in China on: May 26, 2019, 10:52:14 AM

I am not actually into WeChat but in Linkedin there are some people who are contacting me there and they are usually asking for my WeChat name. I understand that it is WeChat that is generating big growth in terms of users and activities in the Chinese market. Now, am just curious when you say we can pay someone in WeChat is that using cryptocurrency or the usual fiat money?
2071  Other / Off-topic / When Satoshi Nakamoto Can Be You on: May 26, 2019, 10:39:45 AM

We in the bitcoin and cryptocurrency community are all aware of the details pertaining to Nakamoto Satoshi and his many contributions and exploits to the alternative financial world that we are in right now. We know how he started working with the blockchain technology and introduce bitcoin which we enjoyed right now.

Now, having said that, let's imagine that you can go back in time and be the real Nakamoto Satoshi, would you left the scene just like what he did or would you rather lead bitcoin and enjoy the glory that comes with it?
2072  Other / Off-topic / Re: What would you buy if you have 1 bitcoin? on: May 26, 2019, 10:28:11 AM
What would you buy if you have 1 bitcoin? I am a window shopping girl. If have 1 bitcoin, I want to buy some clothes or cosmetics.  Cheesy

When Bitcoin can reach $10,000, that amount can actually buy a small house and lot here in my country so that can be my choice if given the chance. However, since am another speculator too, I might decide to wait some more months until Bitcoin is already at $20,000 so that I can buy one more house and lot and I'll make sure they are adjacent to one another. I have no problem with shopping but it is considered not a good investment not unless you are a famous personality so that you can auction the things you wore.
2073  Other / Off-topic / Re: Time Wasting at Funerals: Why? on: May 26, 2019, 10:17:03 AM
I don't understand the concept of mourners/bereaved family members being made to shovel sand into a grave before it is covered once a deceased is lowered into it.

What the heck is that?

Some say it is a reminder that man is from dust and will ever return to dust. Don't we all know that. Do we really need that kind of reminder? I guess not.

People already know all that, except kids and funerals aren't meant for kids. But then, man has always looked for ways to glamourise even the ugliest of opportunities at funerals.

Also, I am of the opinion that sermons and preachings at funerals are time wasting. Yes! It's unnecessary time wasting because no amount of preaching during funerals has ever converted anyone. People are just after the food and drinks. Nothing more!

What do you guys think?

This is part of the grieving process so that soon the person can easily get over the whole thing because he/she experienced it first hand. The ceremonies and also rituals are just part and parcel of this process depending on one;s faith and preferences. I don't see it as a waste of time. This is also giving honor to that someone who has left...though we are doing things on this differently depending on culture and beliefs. I do respect your view on this as a waste of time but maybe that might not be for others. And as there are many sands in the seashore, we do have our different takes on this topic. Smile.

2074  Other / Off-topic / Re: People are weird.. on: May 26, 2019, 09:55:05 AM
So, My account got hacked and someone started using this account normally as it was his account, all the posts in my profile are made from him and not from me, why would someone use my account for posting and commenting topics? I had emails coming in my mail saying people were quoting me etc, that's so weird lol

So I assumed you have already your account otherwise you will not be posting this thread. Now, many hackers have this habit of getting into someone's account for the sake of fun and to test their abilities so unless there can be some commercial value attached to your account (I assumed it has not) then this can be the case. Please do everything you can possible so that your account will not anymore be hacked.

I don't understand this stuff I am a farm boy, I work, plant seed, create life, create value, bring it to market, sell for scam money that I buy other stuff with, sometimes I just trade the fruit for other stuff. I don't understand all this stuff, please help me.

You can be a farm boy and yet well-versed on many things related to economy, cryptocurrency, politics, science and many other stuffs. People in the farm especially farmers are known to be intuitive, down-to-earth and more in touch with the real life so I am expecting that in no time at all you can be the best farm boy the country can produce.

Okay so much for you. The tweets you are sharing here concerned about the ups and down of the stocks in the Wall Street and how they got affected with the Trump effect which kinda expected as the President no matter how lame some people viewed him to be is still a big force in the world of business if not on politics.  The second tweet is talking about how bank shares are considered to be low-volatility (means more stable) stocks but this is changing for now and into the future.
2076  Economy / Economics / Re: Glen Goodman on Crypto Trading, Market Analysis and the Future of Bitcoin on: May 26, 2019, 09:35:23 AM

I just subscribed to this good channel. It is nice to hear the many lessons, ideas and the projections of a man experienced enough in the world of business and trading. The DotCom bust produced many people who have the balanced views of things and how they are using what they learned in that era here in the current cryptocurrency market can be amazing. Certainly, 15 years of failure and success for Glen Goodman is the big reason why we must listen to him picking many good tips, ideas and lessons in the process.
2077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese citizens could safely hold Bitcoin on: May 26, 2019, 09:24:27 AM
Well, the government has no choice. It is hard to prevent  or censor this sort of thing. Holding your bitcoin private keys in safe devices or paper wallet should be as safe as  writing few numbers on paper or keeping few data in tiny memory card..

While the government's policy on bitcoin is negative, there is no way to stop anyone owning some. This is quite true especially if one really has the money as anybody can just visit Hong Kong for the purpose of making sure that one's portfolio is taken cared of. There is always a way when people have the will even in the face of government's animosity. Now, instead of collecting taxes on these transactions the government gets nothing since the government has the fear of losing control if they open up the country for cryptocurrency.
2078  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: --< Building your future on the price of Bitcoin >-- on: May 26, 2019, 07:55:34 AM

The strategy is never to stop investing with bitcoin. When there is a dip that can be an opportunity to buy more and when the price goes up cash in and make some profits. Unfortunately, many people are actually not interested to do this for many reasons. Some do not have the time and some are not really inclined to be investors as they were just hyped into bitcoin. One thing is sure if there is a will there will always be a way...and this is quite true with investments.
2079  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You may not like CSW... on: May 26, 2019, 07:42:29 AM
But you cannot say he is not Satoshi the inventor of Bitcoin.  After all, look at all of his patents and now even the US government is awarding copyrights to him which can ONLY be given to the original author.  It's a fact: CSW is Satoshi.

Cry all you like, you won't change the facts.

Why should I like CSW? I can't understand why are you thinking he is Satoshi. Having too many patents doesn't make him Satoshi or any awards. I think you missed a point. There is nothing to make us cry here. It is so simple if he wants to prove that who Satoshi is. Satoshi has a big amount of BTC as we all know. I am waiting collect all of them in a wallet... Just an idea.

The main test is if he can move the big hoard of Bitcoin that Satoshi Nakamoto has under his control but so far he is not taking the challenge and have chosen to instead cloud the issue with so many of his shenanigans. But I am not wondering why Craig Wright is doing what he is doing. Because he is good in seeking publicity and he knows how to use the media mainstream or not into his favor. Craig Wright has all the right in the world to believe that he is the real Satoshi but he can never impose that the industry will believe and install his name as the real one.
2080  Bitcoin / Press / [2019-05-6] Facebook Integral To Crypto, BTC Won’t Get Hurt By “Globalcoin” on: May 26, 2019, 07:31:16 AM

At long last, some of the world’s largest companies are delving into on crypto and related technologies. The past weeks have seen news arise that some of the world’s largest institutions in TD Ameritrade and Fidelity continue to scale into Bitcoin.

What’s also important is that giants of the technology world also continue to foray into the cryptocurrency space. While Microsoft, IBM, Samsung, and Google have made good progress with their blockchain-related products, Facebook may make the biggest splash yet with its own digital asset.

Speaking to CNBC’s “Squawk Box”, Galaxy Digital’s Mike Novogratz accentuated the importance of Facebook’s massive step into this space. The former Wall Street hotshot, now a well-known cryptocurrency investor, said that “Facebook is wildly important for the ecosystem”, adding that this tacit endorsement of the technology behind Bitcoin is resounding. He even states that contrary to popular belief, Globalcoin will add value to the non-centralized cryptocurrency ecosystem, not subtract.

The Facebook's GlobalCoin hype is real and while many are excited on this development there are also who are raising their eyebrows on what it can it means to Bitcoin and the rest of cryptocurrency. Doubters may listen to the man we just quoted above for more ideas of the things to come with this soon-to-debut cryptocurrency. Of course, we have nothing to be afraid of since the marketplace has already decided that nothing will ever comes close to bitcoin...so should we expect that in fact GlobalCoin and Bitcoin can be complementing each other?
