Here I thought DPR stood for the Dread Pirate Roberts (whoever that actually is).

The rate is the All-Time High, $1250 USD/BTC. Done. Nobody can sell at a loss anymore, it's now a currency.

Can Greece really save bitcoin?

Lol.. that is the question which should be asked. We are discussing about the probability that Greece will be saved by a currency, whose value has declined by 80% in the last 18 months. The Bitcoin adoption is going down considerably, and the number of people who use Bitcoin for their online shopping has also gone down steeply.

I don't sell at a loss, which is why I'm not using BTC for online shopping. But...

I'd like to see metrics on the last two points rather than just Overstock.com's SEC-EDGAR filings.

2085  Other / Politics & Society / Re: LGBT on: July 05, 2015, 12:12:54 AM
if i don't want to bake them a fucking cake why the fuck don't i have that right?

You have that right just as much as everyone has the right to self-defense. Rights are infringed. If it weren't for the government infringing rights, you'd go out of business because you refused to bake cakes, shut up and take peoples' money, just as violent bigots would go away rather than being shot by their victims.
2086  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin really save Greece? on: July 04, 2015, 11:49:19 PM
I saw an interesting post on the Bitcoin subreddit recently. The OP was arguing that Bitcoin could not save the people of Greece, but could be used to support the merchants and sellers within the country. The idea is that us Bitcoin users worldwide should be making an attempt to purchase Greek goods with our Bitcoin, as the local currency is, obviously, falling apart. I think this is precisely the role that Bitcoin should be playing in Greece.

On that note... http://www.newsbtc.com/2015/07/03/spartan-route-buying-greek-exports-with-bitcoin/

So you want to ban sodomy, which includes even fellatio between a man and a woman? That's a "mental disease"? FUCK YOU and the bullshit train you rode in on.
2088  Other / Politics & Society / Re: LGBT on: July 04, 2015, 11:29:14 PM
it's not just this forum and the south that feels this way. it's not just people in the US who feel this way. most of the world feels this way. LGBT and their supporters are the minority across the entire planet.

Victimless liberties of minorities should be infringed by the majority/mob, got it.

Oregon Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian finalized a preliminary ruling today ordering Aaron and Melissa Klein, the bakers who refused to make a cake for a same-sex wedding, to pay $135,000 in emotional damages to the couple they denied service.

Government still being used as a weapon against victimless actors (who would have driven themselves out of business soon enough by refusing to shut the fuck up and take people's money), what a surprise! If "emotional damages" are a legitimate tort, then it's time to start bankrupting/liquidating assets of members of government en masse.

Nipples should be shown on TV and you should be able to display your sexuality in public as long as you aren't anywhere near letting bodily fluids out in public, that's unsanitary. Combining wrongs doesn't make them right.

No you didn't, you posted dumb videos of people dancing naked. Guess what? Straight people do that too, I don't see you using it as an excuse to hate hetero's.

The big difference between heterosexuals and these faggots is that normal heterosexual people don't march naked on the streets in order to protest "discrimination" against them. And whenever someone denies permission to conduct these perverse marches, they accuse them of Homophobia. Faggs believe that marching naked on the streets and practicing sodomy on the open are their birth-right.

BS and you know it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Naked_Bike_Ride is a protest primarily attended by heteros.
2092  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: 0.16855383 stolen from my electrum wallet on: July 04, 2015, 03:51:28 AM

That's exactly what I did. Apparently my MPK is an old version since I didn't generate a new wallet/seed when I upgraded to 2.3.2 or prior updates. My MPK does not have xpub as the first 4 characters.

Why don't you create a new wallet with your old seed words.  You will loose your transaction labels, but you will get all your bitcoin back.

1. Go to Wallet menu --> Seed (enter your wallet password if you have one) - Write down your seed words on a piece of paper.

2. Go to File menu --> New/Restore --> give your new wallet a proper name --> Select Restore a wallet or import keys --> enter your seed words

Hope this helps.

Just did that, MPK still does not have xpub as the first 4 characters. Thanks for having me wipe all my labels for nothing!

LOL j/k I'd backed up the previous wallet and restored them.

And I found the only way to get an xpub is to create an entirely new seed. The old seed wordlist is INCOMPATIBLE.
2093  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: 0.16855383 stolen from my electrum wallet on: July 04, 2015, 01:33:28 AM
What is your xpub key? This will allow anyone to be able to see any transaction in your particular electrum wallet, however will not have access to any private keys.

+1. Please input your xpub key in an explorer and see if there is any balance.

Eg:- https://blockchain.info/xpub/xpub6CUGRUonZSQ4TWtTMmzXdrXDtypWKiKrhko4egpiMZbpiaQL2jkwSB1icqYh2cfDfVxdx4df189oLKnC5fSwqPfgyP3hooxujYzAu3fDVmz

Wait, how do you get the xpub out of Electrum? I took that URL above, deleted the 6CUGRU onward, and pasted my Electrum MPK after /xpub/xpub but keep getting "Illegal character 0 at (whatever position the 0 is at)"
You can find it by clicking Wallet --> MasterPublicKey

To view your xpubkey transactions on blockchain.info: type: blockchain.info/xpub/[your xpubkey]

So LGBTs have SO MUCH of an effect on everyone... that you haven't found it worth personally trying to protect anybody from them.

Misanthropy at its finest.

Both yesterday and today, I invited participants from #bitcoin-otc and #bitcoin (379 and 1110 users respectively, with some overlap and some bots) but nobody wants to do this, apparently.
2100  Economy / Economics / Re: A currency or investment? on: July 03, 2015, 07:47:40 PM
It's solidly in the investment column as long as assholes won't stop selling BTC for less than the All-Time High.

you as legendary forum member are aware of the mtgox/china +$1000 pump right? that was nowhere near a reasonable price. people can't hold their coins for ever just to make you rich.

Just above $1000 is completely reasonable, and will need to go up to $1M USD to encourage victimless economic liberty transfers from tyrants' fiat. Once it hits $1M USD, each satoshi will be equal to 1 US penny, and the number of decimal places will have to be increased in the software.

Not selling BTC for less than the All-Time High≠Not holding forever.
Just above $1000 wouldn't make me rich.
