2081  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are the Bitcoin casinos with first deposit bonuses? on: October 10, 2022, 11:40:52 AM
BetPlay is in the list. I made a deposit in the casino through Lightning, I didn't see a bonus. It's probably because I lost the whole deposit in an hour? Hahaha.
I don't think that's why you didn't get any bonus.
According to their website, you should get the bonus offer once you make a deposit. Maybe, you didn't notice that.

Quote
Once you make a deposit you will get a bonus offer. You have 7 days to claim the bonus and after that 30 days to complete the bonus.

Of course, they have a 35x wagering requirement and I doubt you could withdraw that even if you had received it.

About the FUN token, how can I send it to my Freebitco.in account?
That's very simple. You should make a transaction from your wallet or an exchange.
To see your deposit address, go to "Premium" page. Scroll down and click on "Deposit/Withdraw" button. After that, a new window will pop-up in which you can see your deposit address.
2083  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: October 09, 2022, 12:29:32 PM
If I buy more FUN tokens to accumulate 12500 tokens and reach level 3 then I will get 8 WoF spins.
Take note that you will get 8 WOF spins only if you hold those 12500 tokens for 360 days. You won't get that number of spins from the day 1.
You will get 5 spins in the first 90 days, 6 spins in days 91-180, 7 spins in days 181-360 and 8 spins after 360 days.

2084  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Hacked?! What we can do better to protect our funds? on: October 09, 2022, 11:16:31 AM
The solution is to use a wallet which gives you full control over your keys. You should use a open-source wallet, so you can be sure that you are the only one who has access to the keys,
In this way, you don't rely on any third party.
If you want 100 security and protect yourself from being hacked completely, the other requirement is that your keys should never touch the internet. For this purpose, a solution is to use a secure wallet like electrum on air-gapped device or use a safe hardware wallet.

Are mobile wallets the solution?
There's always the possibility of being hacked if your wallet is online, whether it's a desktop wallet or a mobile wallet.
Don't keep more than you can afford to lose in a mobile wallet.

By the way, binance exchange wasn't hacked. It was their centralized smart contract that was hacked.
(I'm not saying binance exchange can't be hacked. There's always the chance of that.)
2085  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: EXTRACTING TRANSACTION HISTORY FROM BITCOIN CORE DESKTOP WALLET on: October 09, 2022, 09:56:53 AM
Apart from taking screenshots of my BITCOIN-CORE Desktop wallet from my computer screen, is there another method to obtain transaction history, using a .CSV file, but without damaging my Bitcoin core wallet?
It's very easy to export your transactions history.
Go to "Transactions" tab and click on "Export" button. It's located at bottom right corner of the window.

2086  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: How it looks like to use a passphrase? on: October 09, 2022, 09:35:57 AM
I don't have any information about the hardware wallet you are talking about and I don't know how it works. But generally speaking, if you add a passphrase to your seed phrase, you will have completely different addresses.

1. If you initially set up and start using a hardware wallet without passphrase, can you add a passphrade later and get thus 2 wallets, one without passphrase and another one with passphrase?
Yes, you can have two different wallets. One with passphrase and one without passphrase. The wallets will have completely different addresses.

Will device ask for passphrase every time immediately after you have entered pin/password (to unlock device)?
As I already said, I don't have any information about the hardware wallet in question, but it shouldn't be like that.
It should ask you the password and not the passphrase.
Passphrase acts like the 13th word of your seed phrase. (I am assuming you have a seed phrase including 12 words).
Take note that you will need the passphrase whenever you want to recover your wallet using your seed phrase.

3. If a typo in passphrase is opening a different wallet, does it mean that hardware wallet doesn't say "wrong passphrase", but is just opening a different wallet?
With a wrong passphrase, you will have a different wallet and completely different addresses.

Does it mean that if you enter  1000 wrong passphrases, then the wallet will not be reset or wiped, it will just open 1000 different wallets?
With 100 different passphrases, you will have 100 different wallets.
2087  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is Ethspro.com a SCAM? Unable to withdraw USDT on: October 09, 2022, 09:16:25 AM
Any ideas on the next steps?
The next step is to learn from your mistake and what happened.
Don't trust everything you read or hear, especially when it comes to messaging applications like tinder and telegram. Always, do your own research before using any service.

Edit:
I just visited the website in question and noticed something really funny.
Look at the following image. All the users are buying and selling whole bitcoins and no one trades less than 2 BTC.

2088  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Is Ethspro.com a SCAM? Unable to withdraw USDT on: October 08, 2022, 10:46:36 PM
How did you find this website?
I wouldn't trust a website which has been created only 96 days ago.

Further, there is no TxID for transactions.
I doubt they have made any transaction, but in the case they have made the transactions, it's easy to find to their IDs. You can enter your binance deposit address into a block explorer and see all the transactions made to that.

The first transaction is from over a week ago, surely that is enough time?
That's more than enough.
2089  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: October 08, 2022, 10:25:34 PM
Don't forget the bonus on the Multiply BTC game. Freebitcoin regularly offers to the players free coins bonuses to wager on this game. I don't really understand how much you need to wager to get it and how the amount given is calculated but it greatly reduces the house edge when you're gambling it, because you still get RP points and lottery tickets for what you're wagering while the coins you gamble are free.
The bonus you are talking about isn't really free.
If you claim a bonus, an amount equal to the bonus is deducted from your main balance and the deducted amount and the bonus goes to bonus account. For the bonus balance being credited to the main account, you have to wager the bonus balance 25 times. Given the 5% house edge, it's expected that you lose the bonus completely and 25% more.
2090  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Bitcoin address gone after reinstaling Electrum wallet? on: October 08, 2022, 09:27:21 PM
Yes,it has no history.
If the wallet had transaction history before and you are entering the correct seed phrase for recovering that, it's impossible that the wallet has no transaction history, unless the used addresses are beyond the gap limit.
Did you try increasing the gap limit?

Even if someone has stolen your fund, you are still doing something wrongly. You should see the transactions you were able to see before.
2091  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Bitcoin address gone after reinstaling Electrum wallet? on: October 08, 2022, 12:49:59 PM
So, you have two different problems now.
1. You are recovering a wallet with different addresses.
2. There's an outgoing transaction from your address when you check it bitcoin explorers.

Take note that even if the fund has been stolen, you see the transactions (the one you received and the one made by the theft) in your history tab.
Recovering a wrong wallet and the fund being stolen are two different issues.
2092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Historical BTC Releases on: October 08, 2022, 08:55:40 AM
Changing it to 21 won't download v 21.0. The download link is maybe different for that one.
The torrent download link wasn't different for the version 21. The problem is that it hasn't been kept on the server.
The torrent link for the version 21 can be found in archived version of bitcointalk. If you click on the "torrent" button, you will see that the link is https://bitcointalk.org/bitcoin-0.21.0.torrent and you get "404 Not Found" error.
2093  Economy / Economics / Re: Unemployment Rate FELL, But why is the market going DOWN too?? on: October 08, 2022, 07:50:24 AM
The interest rate is still expected to be increased by another 75 basis points and that's affecting the markets negatively.
Also, the inflation rate is going to be updated on October 13. Usually, with decrease in unemployment rate, inflation rate increases and that's not a good sign for the markets.
2094  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Bitcoin address gone after reinstaling Electrum wallet? on: October 07, 2022, 11:39:03 PM
Maybe i have restored it through wrong derivation path or made some other mistake.
If the seed phrase has been generated in electrum and not somewhere else, it can't be different derivation path issue.

If it's a different derivation path you can let Electrum search for it.  When restoring the seed phrase, on the same page that asks about type of addresses you want to restore there should be a button to search for alternate derivation paths.
If the seed phrase has been generated in electrum and that's not BIP39, there is no page asking you the address type or the derivation path at all.
Once you enter an electrum's seed phrase, the wallet type is displayed and there is no way to change that.

Nevertheless, I'm still concerned about your claim that the coins moved from the address you sent them to.  That indicates to me that you may have been scammed some how.  Was this the first time you had sent coins to this particular wallet?
Maybe, OP is a victim of clipboard malware and the address he is looking for belongs to a hacker, not him.
2095  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Bitcoin address gone after reinstaling Electrum wallet? on: October 07, 2022, 09:18:32 PM
While i select show addressess, alot of addresses shows up,both green and yellow, but the one that i sent bitcoins to is not there.
This means that the seed phrase you imported probably belongs to a different wallet which is empty.

There's another possibility which is unlikely of course.
Electrum shows 20 receiving addresses by default while there are more addresses.
Didn't you generate several receiving addresses before picking up an address? If so, it's possible that the address in question belongs to your wallet, but it's beyond the gap limit.
To increase the gap limit, you can use the following command.

Code:
wallet.change_gap_limit(50)
With this command, the gap limit increases to 50.
2096  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Bitcoin address gone after reinstaling Electrum wallet? on: October 07, 2022, 08:25:17 PM
When i have reinstalled the Electrum wallet, the bitcoin address that i have had before was gone.
Are you sure of that? Take note that you don't have a single address. Your wallet contains numerous addresses.
Go to "Addresses" tab and check if you see the address there. If "Addresses" tab is not available, click on "View" at top of the window and select "Show addresses".
For checking this, you can also go to "Console" tab and as mentioned by OmegaStarScream in the first reply, use ismine command.

Please answer the following questions as well.
1. Is your wallet synced? If your wallet is synced, the circle located at bottom right corner of the window should be green.
2. Do you see any transaction in the history tab or it's empty?
2097  Other / Meta / Re: The curious case of the Brand New user with posts on: October 07, 2022, 05:08:14 PM
Dammit! It all were in the mind and I did not crosscheck before making the post. Was I right about Investigation board?
I just made a search to find the answer and couldn't find anything. But it seems that posts made in "Investigations" board are counted and you were right about that.
For instance, notblox1 has made this post in "Investigations" board. If you check his post count, you will see that his post count is equal to number of posts displayed in his post history. If posts made in "Investigations" board weren't counted, his post post count would be lower.
2098  Other / Meta / Re: The curious case of the Brand New user with posts on: October 07, 2022, 04:37:36 PM
On Serious discussion and Ivory Tower it's the same logic but that's for below Full member rank. So everyone can see the post and activity count but they can not see the posts that they are not allowed to access.
You are wrong here.
Posts made in "Serious Discussion" and "Ivory Tower" boards don't increase your post count at all.
For more information, see the post made by theymos.

- Posts in Serious Discussion only activate a potential-activity period. They do not increase your post count.
 - Posts in Ivory Tower neither activate a potential-activity period nor increase your post count.
2099  Other / Meta / Re: The curious case of the Brand New user with posts on: October 07, 2022, 03:44:45 PM
I think that I've seen before at least one user being banned and all their posts being obliterated. But I don't remember details.
Moderators use the "nuke" feature if they want all the posts to be deleted and the user banned, but I don't think this is what caused the wrong post count.
According to modlog, this user is the last user who has been nuked. As you see in his/her profile, the post count is correct.
2100  Other / Meta / Re: The curious case of the Brand New user with posts on: October 07, 2022, 03:24:11 PM
Besides, if his posts are in trashcan... shouldn't their number be shown as 0? Perhaps a mod can bring more light here...?
I am not sure, but their post count may be corrected once theymos does a recount.
See the post I quoted below.

I did a recount of post counts earlier today. There are several bugs which cause the post count to drift from its real value over time. The current count is the accurate one.

I do recounts from time to time.

Perhaps there was a glitch at some point, due to which these users were not ranked up...?
Although those posts have been counted, their activity is zero and that's why they haven't ranked up.
