1281  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: how to see true total BTC balance _including_ change addresses on: March 31, 2023, 11:06:04 PM
Better look up addresses one by one or import the extended pupbic key into Electrum and create a watching-only wallet to monitor your transactions and balance.
I don't see a big difference between entering your master public key on a block explorer and creating a watch-only wallet with your master public key on electrum, unless you run your own server on electrum.
If you don't run your own server on electrum, you have to connect to a server and your privacy is still compromised.
1282  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.com "oops, something went wrong..." on: March 31, 2023, 10:33:39 PM
The problem is blockchain.com browser doesnt even allow me to receive SOL. Thus it doesnt show the balance of it.
You have received the 9.7 SOL. Click here to see the receiving transaction on solscan and here to see your balance. Just because you don't see your balance on blockchain.com doesn't mean you haven't received the fund. Note that blockchain.com explorer has no control over the blockchain and they can't stop you from receiving fund.
I don't have any information about solana blockchain and defi, but it seems that their wallet is showing the correct balance. In the image you shared above, it's displaying the total balance of 9.69999 SOL.
1283  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Hardware Wallets Lifespan on: March 30, 2023, 04:38:52 PM
I worry about using a harware wallet and once I need to sell the hardware fails. Flashdrives have failed. A non custodial wallet I can restore, can I restore a hardware wallet refusing to connect?
Your hardware wallet gives you a seed phrase (a series of 12-24 words). You can import that seed phrase to a new hardware wallet or a non-custodial wallet and access your fund.
Note that all your private keys are derived from your seed phrase and that's all you need for recovering your wallet.
1284  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Hardware Wallets Lifespan on: March 30, 2023, 04:17:08 PM
I am not sure, but I think most hardware wallets should work for a long time, probably more than 10 years. I haven't ever heard of any hardware wallet no longer working.
What are you worry about? If you worry about your fund being lost, take note that you can recover your wallet at any time using your seed phrase.

Edit:
I just found an old topic discussing about the lifespan of hardware wallets. It may be helpful to you.
How long is the lifespan of the hardware wallet?
1285  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where can I find the forum rules? on: March 29, 2023, 07:01:32 PM
Visit Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ
According to rule number 32, making multiple posts in a row is not allowed and that's why your posts were deleted.

32. Posting multiple posts in a row (excluding bumps and reserved posts by the thread starter) is not allowed.

I just visited your post history. There are some other posts that should be deleted too. You have made 4 posts in a row in this thread.
1286  Other / Meta / Re: Plagiarism Vs Scam on: March 24, 2023, 07:55:38 PM
That's because scams are not moderated in the forum.
It's not possible for admins and moderators to check the projects one by one to see whether they are scam or not.
If users are banned due to being a scammer, then many people will (wrongly) think that anyone who runs a business and hasn't been banned is a trustworthy user.
1287  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 21 million units what is the reason for reaching this value? on: March 23, 2023, 04:37:11 PM
Why only put 21 million units in the source code?
Take note that there is no "21 millions" in bitcoin source code.
Satoshi set the initial block reward to 50 BTC and decided that bitcoin block reward is halved every 210,000 blocks. This makes the total supply approximately 21 millions.
The exact supply of bitcoin is 20,999,999.9769 BTC.
1288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Stuck Bitcoin transaction on: March 23, 2023, 04:06:27 PM
But it will eventually get confirmed.
There is no guarantee that the transaction in question will be finally confirmed.
OP's transaction is now around 200 vMB from the tip and there's a big possibility that it won't be confirmed in the next 14 days and will be dropped from nodes mempool. It's even possible that nodes remove that transaction from their mempool earlier due to reaching their size limit.
1289  Other / Meta / Re: Ninjastic.space - BitcoinTalk Post/Address archive + API on: March 22, 2023, 09:49:36 PM
For example, I want to search the term ''moderator'' but only for topics I created, that means all other topic from other members would be excluded from results.
Not possible, unfortunately. I don't which posts are topics before February 2023 (when I started tracking new topics).
As the title of replies start with Re:, you should be able to exclude them with adding -"Re:" to "Post title" field.
dkbit98 should be able to see the topics that have been made by him and include the word "moderator" in the title using this link.

This method may not be 100% accurate, because the poster can edit the title and remove the Re: from reply's title.
1290  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: If someone steals your seed words, but does not know your passphrase... on: March 21, 2023, 09:19:05 AM
Yes OK, thanks for clarifying... the wallet with passphrase is independent... still accessible even if the wallet without passphrase is recovered/stolen.
Right. Take note that you should move the fund from that wallet to a new wallet with a new seed phrase as soon as possible.
With your seed phrase being compromised, your wallet isn't as secure as before, especially if you have used a weak passphrase. It's possible that the thief can brute-force the passphrase and access the fund.
1291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: If someone steals your seed words, but does not know your passphrase... on: March 21, 2023, 08:57:01 AM
... so he would recover the non-passphrase wallet, but by doing so, it does not mean the passphrase wallet is now inaccessible to the victim ( who still knows the passphrase + 24 words )
Take note that the two wallets (the one without passphrase and the one with passphrase) are two different wallets with completely different addresses. Anything that happens to each of these wallets doesn't affect the other wallet.
Someone who has access to your seed phrase and doesn't know the passphrase can't have access to the wallet that is protected with a passphrase. You will be able to import your seed phrase and the passphrase in another wallet and access the fund.
1292  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: can't access electrum wallet on: March 20, 2023, 06:49:36 PM
I do not see my wallet address in the addresses list. (that's what I'm looking for, right?) There are 20 of them labeled "receiving" and 10 labeled "change".  I have gone through the 10 server nodes listed, all circles come up green and nothing changes.
If you don't see that address, it means that it doesn't belong to this wallet.
Are you sure that's the only wallet you generated on electrum? Didn't you generate multiple wallets?
Click on "File" at top of the window and check if you have any other wallet.
1293  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: can't access electrum wallet on: March 20, 2023, 01:50:00 PM
Nothing in addresses. Command returned "Traceback"
You probably didn't enter the command correctly. With using the command mentioned by OmegaStarScream above, you should get either True or False. True means that the address is yours and False means that it's not yours.
To check if an address belongs to your wallet, you can also go to "Addresses" tab and see if the address is there. (If you don't see "Addresses" tab, click on "View" at top of the window and select and "Show addresses".)
1294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can the delay in blockchain confirmation be one drawback of bitcoin transactions on: March 20, 2023, 01:44:13 PM
When he showed his phone, there were already 15 confirmations, but from my end, the payment had not yet arrived in my wallet; it took almost 10 hours to arrive in my wallet.
This is not possible, unless your wallet wasn't synced to the blockchain or you used a custodial service which credited your balance with some delay.
Your (non-custodial) wallet should display the balance once the receiving transaction gets its first confirmation. Some wallets like electrum display the receiving transaction and the balance even if it doesn't have any confirmation. (Electrum even allow you to spend the unconfirmed coins.)

1296  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can the delay in blockchain confirmation be one drawback of bitcoin transactions on: March 20, 2023, 01:18:50 PM
I was not worried because already the customer had shown me his device to check the network confirmation (from his end, it was showing about 15 network confirmation), but I never received payment.
I don't understand this. You say the transaction had 15 confirmations, but you never received the fund.
Do you mean the sender scammed you with displaying a fake image on his/her phone?

Although I did not keep the customer waiting because I am aware that this is how the network can sometimes be delayed, he did drop his phone line with me and ask me to notify him when i recives. The payment finally arrived in my wallet after a long time of waiting.
Take note that there is no guarantee that an unconfirmed transaction will be finally confirmed. You shouldn't accept unconfirmed transactions.
1297  Other / Meta / Re: tisnaislam111's ban appeal on: March 20, 2023, 07:50:39 AM
I'm not sure res.cloudinary.com is actually legit, so I wouldn't dare to click your link.
Click here to see the deleted post on ninjastic.space.
tisnaislam111 copy-pasted that from the post made by shasan.

But I don't think mods banned you without looking at closely. You must did something else that looked like a full plagiarism.
I don't understand Bengali and I used google-translator for checking the posts. It seems that tisnaislam111 copy-pasted shasan's post and just changed two dates and a number.
1298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: [Question] Laptop reinstall, will assets be lost? on: March 19, 2023, 02:23:47 PM
For the sync process, how long does it take to complete (100%) according to your experience.
Electrum is a SPV wallet which means that you don't have to download the full blockchain.
In electrum, you connect to a server and get only the transactions data of your own wallet, so that it can display your transactions history, the correct balance of your wallet and the list of your UTXOs.
If you have made/received many transactions before, it may take a few minutes. If you have never made any transaction, it would take a few seconds.
1299  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: RBF adjust fee, choose adjusted output? on: March 18, 2023, 10:41:25 PM
So, the node you have connected to doesn't have your transaction in its mempool.
I think you should be able to broadcast a new transaction with desired fee rate. If the fee rate is higher than the fee rate used for the previous transaction, those nodes that have your previous transaction in their mempool should replace that with the new transaction.
