Metamask & Trustwallet - For Shitcoin aka Altcoin
Even for altcoins, it's not recommended to use a close-source wallet like trustwallet. Visit the article published on cointelegraph and see how a vulnerability caused some users who created wallet through their browser extension to lose their fund.
Trust Wallet to reimburse users after $170,000 security incident

We don't know how the keys are generated on trustwallet and there is no guarantee that the same thing won't happen to those who are using their application.
1142  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can someone stole your money with seed phase? on: May 15, 2023, 02:35:28 PM
Will the person be able to withdraw your money or change password and block you from having access to your wallet?
Take note that your password encrypts your wallet file locally, so that someone who has access to your device can't access your fund.
Someone who has access to your seed phrase can use it to generate the same wallet and spend your fund. The thief doesn't need your password at all.

I think, if someone manages to obtain your private keys without your knowledge, they can potentially gain access to your wallet and perform actions on your behalf, such as withdrawing your funds or changing passwords.
Wrong.
They can spend the fund, but there is no way to change your password. As already said, your password encrypts your wallet file locally.

I started on Exodus, Electrum, and MyCrypto and I'm still using these three I highly recommend these three to newbies but always invest time and effort on how to secure your coin, even the best wallet cannot secure your portfolio if you lack the best security measures.
Electrum is surely a trustworthy wallet and if it's in the correct way, your fund would be completely secure, but exodus is a close-source wallet and it's not recommended.
When you use close-source wallet like Exodus, you don't know how the keys are generated and whether they are stored on their server or not.
1144  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What will happen to a wallet when the wallet company closes on: May 15, 2023, 12:35:19 PM
A non custodial wallet which use BIP39 code without add anything e.g. Electrum, Bluewallet, Mycelium will let you to recover your coins, even the site was been shutdown, although it's highly unlikely.
A seed phrase generated by electrum isn't BIP39. Electrum uses its own algorithm for generating a seed phrase.
Of course, since electrum is open-source, there's  nothing to worry about if you have a seed phrase generated by it and you will be always able to derive your private keys from your seed phrase.
1145  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HOW DO I SECURELY STORE MY BITCOIN AS A BEGINNER? on: May 14, 2023, 10:46:19 PM
If you want your wallet to be completely secure, your private keys should be generated using a secure tool on a secure device.
One way is to use a open-source trustworthy wallet on an airgapped device and the other way is to use a good hardware wallet.

Note that's it's recommended to generate a HD wallet with a seed phrase instead of generating a single private key. Writing a seed phrase (which is series of words) is much easier than writing a private key and in this way, you can have numerous addresses all generated from a seed phrase.
Don't forget to keep multiple copies of your seed phrase (or your private key, if you want to generate a single private key for any reason) in separate safe places.
1146  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie should learn from this fast confirmed transactions tricks on: May 14, 2023, 08:01:48 PM
i could be wrong, but I have reason to believe that bumping the fee rate to minimal accepted fee rate by ViaBTC TX accelerator does not help. I did it before and all I could keep getting when trying to accelerate the transaction was "TX ID does not exit" and yet it was even a valid TX ID.
When you bump the fee, your transaction is replaced by a new one with a new ID and you should submit the new transaction. Maybe, you submitted the replaced transaction.
I have done what suggested by BlackBoss_ before and I can confirm that it works.

I am not sure is it just me or everyone but OP images are not visible at all??
It's not just you. The same thing has happened to any other image uploaded to imgur. Visit the topic created by acroman08 for more information about the issue.
Imgur images suddenly became invalid?
1148  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Does reversal occur with bitcoin transaction. on: May 14, 2023, 01:30:16 PM
But if one sends transaction with fee that's enough to get transaction confirmed in 12-24 hours, then you should accept that transaction and shouldn't start whining on 1 or 6 confirmations.
No. You should never accept an unconfirmed transaction, unless you trust the sender (or as mentioned by DannyHamilton, you have accepted the risk.)
Even if the fee rate is high enough, there is no guarantee that an unconfirmed transaction will be finally confirmed. It's possible that the network becomes congested and the unconfirmed transaction is dropped from the mempool. It's also possible that the sender makes a double-spend and invalidate the unconfirmed transaction.
1149  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie should learn from this fast confirmed transactions tricks on: May 14, 2023, 12:36:32 AM
the speed at which a transaction is confirmed depends on a number of factors, including the size of the transaction fee and the current network congestion.
If you submit your transaction to ViaBTC accelerator, (assuming your transaction won't be confirmed normally) the confirmation time will depend on the their share from the total hash rate and your luck.

But take note, if you're using below 10 sats you can't use this free service, they'll not rebroadcast below 10 sats based on my experience.
They don't rebroadcast your transaction, when you submit it to their accelerator.
1150  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Trust wallet dust UTXO error on: May 13, 2023, 06:42:00 PM
I waited for 6 confirmations for the fees deducted.
You didn't have to wait for 6 confirmations. You could make your new transaction even when those transactions were still unconfirmed.

Note that with canceling a transaction and then making a new one, you have to pay fee for two transactions and you waste some money.
Instead of canceling the first transaction and then making a new one, you could bump the fee. With bumping the fee, you replace your transaction with a new one spending more fee.
1151  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: A bug on Android Electrum 4.4.3 on: May 13, 2023, 06:24:52 PM
OP is right.
The problem is that when you use suggested words instead of typing the words completely, it adds an space at the end of the words.
If you type the last word manually, you will be able to select "finish".
If you use the suggested word when entering the last word, you will need to tap on "back" button, so that the extra space is deleted. After that, you can select "finish".

When you select "I already have a seed" and then enter your seed phrase, it works fine even if you enter the last word using suggested words.
1152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: USDT sent to inactivated address! on: May 13, 2023, 04:26:25 PM
What wallet did you send the tokens to?
What do you mean by being inactive? Do you mean you can't spend the tokens you received?
I guess you are using a non-custodial wallet and you can't spend the tokens due to not having TRON in your wallet. If that's the case, all you need is to deposit TRON to your address.
1153  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Trust wallet dust UTXO error on: May 12, 2023, 07:58:51 PM
Sure but i paid fees total of 30k sats and according to mempool it's not going to be processed anytime soon. Maybe thats because the parent transaction has much higher fees than the new transaction.
Take note that what matters to miners is the fee rate, not the absolute fee.
The fee paid for the parent is higher than the fee paid for the child, but its fee rate is lower. The fee rate used for the parent is 20.1 sat/vbyte and the fee rate used for the child is 93.3 sat/vbyte.

I think the fees i paid for this small transaction is more than enough. But protocols are protocols.
The parent isn't a small transaction. It includes 20 inputs and has the virtual size of around 1400 vbyte.
1154  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Trust wallet dust UTXO error on: May 12, 2023, 12:05:49 PM
Fees paid: 93.3 sats. Effective fees: 25.4 sats. Actual fees 10k sats, so three.
The effective fee rate is equal to the total fee paid for two transactions divided by their total size and that's what matters to miners.

You paid 28040 satoshi for the first transaction and 10,290 satoshi for the second transaction. The (virtual) sizes of the transactions were 1400 vbyte and 110 vbyte, respectively.
This means that you paid 38330 satoshi for 1510 vbyte. It gives you the effective fee rate of 25.4 sat/vbyte.

Note that the transactions will be confirmed at the same time.
1155  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Trust wallet dust UTXO error on: May 11, 2023, 11:02:27 PM
The lowest fee that you can use is 1 sat/vbyte, that should be around 111 sat in fee.
It may worth mentioning that, currently you may not be able to broadcast a transaction with the fee rate of 1 sat/vbyte.
The minimum fee rate that is accepted by a node would be higher than 1 sat/vbyte if the network is congested and mempool size of the node reaches its maximum.
1156  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Transaction concluded but did not reach the recipient (bitcoin Wallet) on: May 11, 2023, 02:41:52 PM
btw you said that you made the deposit 5 days ago but why I saw the time in the transaction that you shared is happening today.
Block explorers usually display the time the transaction was included in the blockchain, not the time the transaction was broadcasted.
Blockchain.com first saw the transaction on May 6. That's likely the date OP broadcasted the transaction.
1157  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Trust wallet dust UTXO error on: May 11, 2023, 11:24:53 AM
After a while i still had the option to cancel it so i did and the fees were deducted anyway which i understand but usually you can't cancel a bitcoin transaction?
Canceling a transaction means replacing an unconfirmed transaction with a new one paying more fee to your own address.
Note that you can replace an unconfirmed transaction with a new one paying more fee, only if it has been flagged as RBF.
1158  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: static or mempool for withdrawal on: May 11, 2023, 11:12:08 AM
https://mempool.space/ showed high priority 49 sat/vB  $1.89
It may worth mentioning that what shown on mempool.space as total fee is for a normal segwit transaction with 1 input and 2 outputs.
If you have more number of inputs or outputs or you use legacy addresses, you have to pay more transaction fee.

I have never heard of this case before even if you are cheating there seems to be no penalty for suspended funds or I missed this even I didn't see any complaints similar to yours while active on this thread
I also don't think that's the case. As far as I know, they don't even allow the user to login to the account if someone is caught abusing the website. The problem should be something else.
1160  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Is Blockchain.info a scam? on: May 11, 2023, 10:35:22 AM
I had blockchain.com wallet years ago, for a limited and I had two wallets there, one generated by blockchain.com and another one was imported by me. If I remember it well, the wallet generated by blockchain.com had way higher fee than the imported one.
Maybe, you had more UTXOs in the wallet generated by blockchain.com.
Take note that fee you have to pay for a transactions depends on number of inputs and outputs. The more inputs or outputs you have, the more you have to pay as transaction fee.
