Well Im not sure about this but iirc the odds to actually hit it would be 0.00499%
The chance to get 10,000 in free roll is 0.005%.
Every time you play free roll, a decimal number which is between 0 and 10,000 is calculated and it's rounded off the nearest whole number. For getting number 10,000, that decimal number must be between 9999.5 and 10,000.

That actually is almost correct statistically if we assume that the real odds is 0.00499% then that means it would be to hit one every 25,000 rolls
It's expected to hit number 10,000 once in every 20,000 rolls on average.
1102  Economy / Exchanges / Re: I've lost $10 when depositing to OKX (formerly OKEx) on: May 31, 2023, 10:53:52 AM
For small amounts, I recommend using ----> Instant exchanges.
Instant exchanges usually have a minimum trade amount.
I just checked the first three exchanges listed on OmegaStarScream's topic.
In Godex, the minimum value for bitcoin is 0.003 BTC which is much higher than the minimum deposit in OkEx. In ZigZag and FixedFloat, the minimum trade amount for bitcoin is 0.0003 BTC and 0.00046 BTC, respectively.
1103  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: May 31, 2023, 10:38:10 AM
To win the jackpot you only need to roll or also the bet valid for jackpot have a minimum?
Note that Betwrong is talking about the free roll, not about wagering or jackpot. You win 200 dollars, if you hit number 10000 in the free roll.
To win the jackpot, you need to select one of the five available options and must roll number 8888 in the multiply game. As you see in the following image, the minimum amount is 2 satoshi.

1104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I think we have a problem with 12 seed recovery phrase on: May 30, 2023, 07:49:35 PM
IF im not making bad my maths the  actual number of combination with 12 words its:

11005261717918037175659349191168
Wrong.
The number of possibilities is 204812 which equals to 5.44*1039
If we exclude those that don't pass checksum, the number of valid seed phrases would decrease to 3.4*1038

The number is big enough.

A HUGE number i know, and we are far to that number but i think we need to be MORE far like with the 24 words.

41731122174410236047796743722730466018640279171473593600
Again wrong.
The number of possibilities is 204824 which equals to 2.96*1079
If we exclude those that don't pass checksum, the number of valid seed phrases would decrease to 1.16*1077
1105  Economy / Exchanges / Re: I've lost $10 when depositing to OKX (formerly OKEx) on: May 28, 2023, 07:54:21 PM
OKX's suddenly raised the minimum deposit amount of BTC to 0.0002 without any informing and I have 2 transaction sending to my account, one is confirmed and one is in pending on the network. They're both 0.00019xxx (around $5), which is less than the current minimum deposit amount of BTC now so they refused to make the transactions credited to my account.
Where did you send the the transactions from?
If you made the transaction which is still unconfirmed from a non-custodial wallet and it has been flagged as RBF, you can replace it with a new one paying higher fee and send the fund to yourself.
1106  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Importing seed into Electrum, no funds? on: May 28, 2023, 12:56:44 PM
I generated the seed phrase around April 2021 using a Ledger Nano S that I still have access to, both mnemonic and PIN code.
I also tried to use the device import the wallet into Electrum (New wallet > Use hardware device) using all three suggested derivation paths (p2pkh, p2wkph-p2sh and p2wpkh) without any luck.
This means that the seed phrase you imported into electrum belongs to a different wallet or you had extended your seed phrase with a passphrase.
Didn't you add a passphrase to your seed phrase when creating the wallet on Ledger? Note that with adding a passphrase to your seed phrase, you generate completely different addresses.
1107  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Importing seed into Electrum, no funds? on: May 28, 2023, 10:16:09 AM
How did you generate your seed phrase? What wallet/software did you use for that? Maybe, the address you are looking for has been generated on a different derivation path.
Did you try clicking on "Detect existing accounts"?
1108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I created a transaction 2 weeks ago on: May 24, 2023, 10:29:33 PM
If the transaction is stocked in a node with much higher limit which might not drop the transaction at all. What will be the fate of Op.
It's possible that a node has a different setting and keep a transaction in its mempool for a very long time. But that doesn't matter at all. The majority of nodes will probably drop the transaction from their mempool and OP will be able to broadcast a new transaction. The problem here is that coinbase may rebroadcast that transaction.

Does CPFP method of accelerating transaction I read somewhere not work for transactions broadcasted by CEX?
You can do CPFP if you have control over an output of the transaction. In other words, you need to have the private key of one of receiving addresses.
If you have withdrawn bitcoin from an exchange to an address you have full control over it, you are able to do CPFP. The problem is that withdrawal transactions made from exchanges usually have a large size and doing CPFP for them would be expensive.
1109  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How to speed up btc transfers on: May 24, 2023, 09:55:27 PM
Yes, the default on Electrum for RBF is not enabled if I'm not mistaken, you just have to enabled it though.
No. By default, RBF is enabled and in the current version, it's not possible to disable it.
Note that the option to disable RBF was removed in the version 4.4.0. In the versions before that, you had the option to choose whether or not you want your transaction to be flagged as RBF.
1110  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: 12 word vs 24 word seed on: May 24, 2023, 12:25:46 PM
A 12 word seed phrase is secure enough.
A 12 word BIP39 seed phrase provides 128 bits of security and since a private key provides 128 bits of entropy, 12 words are enough.

It may worth mentioning that you can generate a 24 word seed phrase using electrum too.  To do so, you need to go to console tab and use the following command.

Code:
make_seed(256)

Just note that a seed phrase generated by electrum isn't BIP39. Electrum uses its own algorithm.

1112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I created a transaction 2 weeks ago on: May 24, 2023, 12:17:14 AM
What do you mean by transaction being able to drop from the mempool. You mean drop back to the sender? If yes, can this be called transaction reversal?
Each node has a mempool which includes unconfirmed transactions.
Being dropped from the mempool means that the node no longer keeps the transaction in its mempool.

When we say bitcoin transactions are irreverisble, we are talking about confirmed transactions. If a transaction is unconfirmed, it hasn't been included in the blockchain at all.

If yes , how about the bitcoin was used to purchase goods and the buyer has gone with the goods?
That's exactly why you shouldn't accept an unconfirmed transaction, if you don't trust the sender. There is no guarantee that an unconfirmed transaction will be finally confirmed.

1114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I created a transaction 2 weeks ago on: May 23, 2023, 01:34:25 AM
Alternatively, you can try submitting your tx in viabtc free tx accelerator- https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator
For using ViaBTC free accelerator, the fee rate must be equal or greater than 10 sat/byte. The fee rate used for OP's transaction is around 8.8 sat/byte.
The other problem is that the transaction in question has unconfirmed parents and their free service doesn't accelerate such transactions.
1115  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: [Mycelium Android] Transaction stuck for ~2 weeks, can't bump the fee on: May 23, 2023, 12:21:06 AM
But if you dont want to wait CPFP is your last hope to speed up this transaction ask the receiver to do this if he is using Electrum.
It's not possible to do CPFP.
According to transaction history of the receiving address, it probably belongs to a custodial service like an exchange.
1116  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: [Mycelium Android] Transaction stuck for ~2 weeks, can't bump the fee on: May 22, 2023, 11:01:08 PM
So if I want to switch to Electrum to use the RBF feature, I do not have to wait until it gets dropped from the mempool, right?
If a transaction has been flagged as RBF, you can bump the fee. Bumping the fee means that you replace an unconfirmed transaction with a new one paying higher fee without any need to wait for the tranaction to be dropped from the mempool.
By default, Electrum flag transactions as RBF.

Will I be able to see the unconfirmed transaction made in Myclium and bump it via Electrum?
You will see your unconfirmed transaction on electrum, but since it hasn't been flagged as RBF, you won't be able to bump its fee.
As already said, you will have to wait until your transaction is dropped from the mempool and then make a new transaction. Your new transaction can be a RBF-enabled transaction, so that you can bump its fee if required.
1117  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: [Mycelium Android] Transaction stuck for ~2 weeks, can't bump the fee on: May 22, 2023, 10:41:07 PM
So I was thinking of deleting it, waiting for another week or so till it gets forgotten and then synchronising the wallet. Or maybe I'll just wait for it to be forgotten and then delete it.
I suggest you to use electrum, so that you can make a RBF-enabled transaction.

Not quite sure what do they mean by synchronizing - does it just mean refreshing, or is it more complex process?
In a SPV wallet like mycelium, synchronizing means getting required data from the server.

ps. How do I know if the transaction has been forgotten by the network, will it just be no longer visible in block explorers etc? Does it always take 2 weeks for it to be dropped, or can it take longer?
Different nodes have different setting. The default setting is that transactions are dropped from the mempool after two weeks. It's possible that a node drops your transaction from its mempool after two weeks while another node will still keep your transaction.
After two weeks, most nodes will probably drop your transaction from their mempool and most block explorers will no longer display your transaction.
1118  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: [Mycelium Android] Transaction stuck for ~2 weeks, can't bump the fee on: May 22, 2023, 10:07:12 PM
I just checked your transaction on some block explorers and it seems that it has been last broadcasted 1 week ago. It should be dropped from mempool of most nodes 1 week later. (By default, transactions are dropped from the mempool after two weeks.)

Import your wallet into electrum. Wait until your transaction is dropped from the mempool and then make a new transaction on electrum. With electrum, you can make RBF-enabled transaction, so that you can bump the fee if required.

Does Mycelium auto-rebroadcast unconfirmed transactions?
I am not sure, but I think mycelium rebroadcast transactions automatically. If that's the case, you need to delete your wallet, so that it no longer rebroadcast your transaction. Before deleting your wallet, make sure that you will be able to recover your wallet.

How does one even keep track of how many times they've rolled the faucet ?
To know how many times you have played the free roll, go to "Stats" and then click on "Personal stats". You can also see how much you have earned through the faucet and some other statistics there.
