1421  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance to Airdrop $100 to Turkey Earthquake region affected users on: February 16, 2023, 06:50:15 PM
I feel sorry for the people, but If I had full control for printing of my own centralized coin ''dkbit'' I would send more than $100 of dkbit.
There's something even worse than that.
Take a look at their charity program. They collect BTC and ETH from people as donation to earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria and instead send BUSD to some NGOs.
1422  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance to Airdrop $100 to Turkey Earthquake region affected users on: February 16, 2023, 04:50:38 PM
I don't know why didn't Binance just give funds to some NGOs that are actively helping there...
They have already funded two charitable organizations. Of course, not from their own pocket, but from the money donated by people.

Quote
Through community donations, we have now raised $70k for Turkey and Syria.
#Binance Charity will be distributing the funds equally to two charitable organisations in both countries.
1423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: I feel ashamed asking this but it's better to know than not knowing on: February 16, 2023, 11:23:57 AM
I was not expecting this answer, if so, then I still have a question, like who owns or created Bitcoin.org? Because that was the first place I learn and read more about Bitcoin, so hossein sahab, what am I not getting here? I always thought that Bitcoin.org is the official website.
Bitcoin.org was created by satoshi and is now control by Cøbra.
Take note that even if bitcoin.org was still owned by satoshi, we couldn't say it's the official website of bitcoin. Bitcoin has no owner and has no official website.

See what bitcoin.org says about the official website of bitcoin.

Quote from: About bitcoin.org
Bitcoin.org is not Bitcoin's official website. Just like nobody owns the email technology, nobody owns the Bitcoin network. As such, nobody can speak with authority in the name of Bitcoin.
1424  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Stuck transaction on: February 16, 2023, 12:18:59 AM
You can set 1 sat in whatever you want, But 1st, before you set it, just look on mempool 1st and look at how many transactions are at that time.
For estimating the required fee rate, you shouldn't look at the number of unconfirmed transactions. You should look at the size of unconfirmed transactions, considering that each block can include up to 1 vMB of transactions.
1425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Stuck transaction on: February 15, 2023, 08:52:33 PM
Me personally I wont be setting a 1sat/vb transaction anytime soon. Maybe ever. Those extra sats/vb I pay extra hopefully will save me time and headaches.
If you set the fee rate to 8 sat/vbyte, your transaction would be less than 1 vMB from the tip and will be probably confirmed soon.
Note that the required fee is dynamic and it can change over time. If I were in a hurry, I would set the fee rate to 10-12 sat/vbyte.

I find those accelerators pretty fishy.
Viabtc worked for years, but only if you pay at least 10 sat/byte. And by the time that's needed, you won't be the only one so it's hard to get into their queue. All the other "free accelerators" are useless.
I also confirm that ViaBTC free accelerator works well.
1426  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum address beyond the gap limit on: February 15, 2023, 06:15:25 PM
I just want to ask if your wallet is legacy because you can use a scanner tool like this one https://blockpath.com/wallets/local/101?action=appxpub
pclaas already said that his seed phrase has been generated by electrum.
Since electrum doesn't allow you to change the derivation path when generating a wallet using its own seed phrase, it's not possible that you have an address generated by an electrum's seed phrase on a different derivation path.
1427  Other / Meta / Re: [CLUB] The SpamBusters! Busting rule-breakers constantly. on: February 15, 2023, 05:55:25 PM
Now that you mentioned Desmong, there is another account with 1xbit signature that follows them around and writes in the same boards at the similar time  Neslifebtc. Like the others he also shows up once per week, spams 20 posts and disappear.
I found two other accounts that do exactly the same thing and are probably owned by the same person.

1. Masplanc
2. Gosgosking

I reported last 3 posts made by Ebede and all of them were deleted so when I get some free time tomorrow I'll go on the reporting spree and if enough of his posts get deleted maybe he gets some kind of punishment.
I just reported his last 20 posts. Let's see what will happen.

Edit: All my reports were marked as good and the posts were deleted.
1428  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum address beyond the gap limit on: February 15, 2023, 01:13:00 PM
just to clarify, if i create a wallet and generate, let's say 3 more addresses (to the 20 default) and then do a seed recovery of the wallet and generate, let's say 10 more addresses (to the 20 default), then pop the 3 addresses (from the first creation of the wallet) directly under the 10?
Yes. They would be the same.
Note that all your addresses (not only the first 20 addresses) are derived from your seed phrase through a defined algorithm. Therefore, your seed phrase always generates the same addresses.
1429  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum address beyond the gap limit on: February 15, 2023, 11:58:07 AM
I'm relatively sure that the seed fits the wallet and I didn't add any more words to the seed.
If your seed phrase is correct, it should generate correct addresses and if the wallet is synced, it should display the correct balance. Otherwise, the seed phrase you entered is wrong.

Seed Phrase was generated by electrum itself. What is HD wallet?
HD wallet is a wallet in which you have numerous addresses all generated from a seed. HD stands for Hierarchical Deterministic.
1430  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum address beyond the gap limit on: February 15, 2023, 10:52:25 AM
After successfully restoring the wallet with the seed, I don't see my balance.
Do the addresses generated by electrum start with the same character as the address you are looking for? If no, you have selected an incorrect script type.
(If the seed phrase has been generated by electrum itself, this can't be the problem.)

is it possible to manually enter this address individually in electrum?
Take note that you can't import an address or a private key into a HD wallet.
If you own the private key of an address, you can create a new wallet with that private key.
1431  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Problem in Electrum multisig using Trezor on: February 15, 2023, 09:54:20 AM
OP has made it by taking your suggestion. Kudos. But why it has to be online to make it work?
If there is no connection to the internet, it's not possible for electrum to get synced to the blockchain and it wouldn't have any information about the transactions already made.
Take note that even if you want to make a transaction offline in electrum, you need an online device too. The online device is required for getting UTXOs data and broadcasting your tranaction.
1432  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: HODL Wallet for BTC on: February 15, 2023, 09:40:02 AM
bitcoin core is possible. Only if you run your own node and connect to the miner node.
It's even possible to set the fee rate to zero. But the problem is that it's very very unlikely that such a transaction can be included in a block, unless you own a mining pool and you can include your own transaction.
1433  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Stuck transaction on: February 15, 2023, 09:05:43 AM
Thanks again everyone! Mempool traffic is kinda bonkers lately huh!? Is this mostly from inscriptions/ ordinals?
Hasn't your transaction been removed from the mempool?
Due to big size of unconfirmed transactions and according to mempool.space, transactions with the fee rate of less than 1.41 sat/vbyte are purged from the mempool.
Can you still see your transaction on block explorers?
1434  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help on: February 15, 2023, 08:19:22 AM
There is no such thing as a Bitcoin mining app. In the best case scenario you will be left with nothing, in the worst case scenario you will install malware on your device.
Besides the chance of installing a malware, it's possible that they ask for identity verification and a deposit to be able to make a withdrawal.
So, the worst case scenario is installing a malware, your personal data being stolen and losing some money as withdrawal fee or something like that.
1435  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Help me to create a multisignature wallet with Electrum on: February 15, 2023, 08:06:49 AM
Can I use a seed from single signature wallet and gets its master key as a cosigner for a multi-sign signature wallet? or do I have to use a seed from a multi-sign wallet with its master public key?
You can use the seed phrase generated for a single-signature wallet for generating a multi-signature wallet as well, but you can't use the master pubic key of your single-signature wallet as the cosigner key on your multi-signature wallet.
Take note that electrum uses a different derivation path for generating the master public key in a multi-signature wallet. This means that if you import the same seed phrase into a single-signature wallet and a multi-signature wallet, you will see two different master public keys.
1436  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Bitcoin wallet users, have you ever? on: February 15, 2023, 07:32:28 AM
Electrum in android apps seems to have a high-risk level, right?
Some features of the desktop version of electrum aren't available on the android version, but that doesn't mean the android version of electrum isn't secure enough.
If you use electrum on android, the security of your fund depends on the security of your device. Electrum itself is secure and if it used properly, there is no risk.
Take note that any online device is prone to hacking.
1437  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have always wanted to ask this about bitcoin on: February 14, 2023, 01:05:39 PM
Will people still use or buy bitcoin till today if all it has to offer is the decentralized characteristic only, I am trying to say that if bitcoin is stable in value from day one and has no investment ability will you still buy it?
Your question doesn't make sense.
Take note that it's not possible to have a decentralized stable coin at all. If bitcoin price was stable, it could no longer be decentralized and would be something like tether.
For making the price of a coin stable, someone (or a company) must have full control over that.
1438  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Help me to create a multisignature wallet with Electrum on: February 14, 2023, 12:52:36 PM
To add to nc50lc's post:
You can also select "Enter cosigner seed" on "Add cosigner (2-2)" window and enter your second seed phrase.
In this way, you can have a multi-signature wallet which includes both of the keys required for making a transaction.

As mentioned by nc50lc, this is useful only for learning purposes.
You shouldn't have both of the keys on the same device, let alone the same wallet.
1439  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: IS THIS TX ACCELERATED ? on: February 13, 2023, 06:51:22 PM
incorrect, receiver wallet is atomic wallet , cannot spent unconfirmed tx. just tell me if there any possibility that he used tx accelerator ?
Charles-Tim answered you correctly.

The fee rate used in the transaction you shared in the OP was 2.21 sat/vbyte.
One of the outputs was spent in this tranaction with the fee rate of 108 sat/vbyte.

The total (virtual) size of these transactions was 368.25 vbyte and the total fee was 24,574 satoshi. So, the combined transaction fee rate was around 66.7 sat/vbyte which was more than enough for a fast confirmation. That's why both transactions were confirmed in the same block (776342).
1440  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help on: February 13, 2023, 05:32:44 PM
I don't know what application you are talking about. Just take note that you can't mine bitcoin just with running an application. That's not how bitcoin is mined at all and it seems that someone is trying to scam you.
There are scammers showing a fake number as your bitcoin balance, so that you (wrongly) think that you have mined bitcoin.
