2101  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 07, 2015, 08:43:20 AM
So price drifting up. Some big sell walls capping the price on finex. Longs now down to 18.x million usd and btc swaps at 22,X00, still pretty much at ATH. Interest on usd lower than btc. The only question is how many of those swaps have been sold into the market - i would guess lots.

People seem to be expecting stamp to buy up the market, very unlikely, they will do an OTC trade i would guess. Either way those 18,000 coins need to be replaced. A single large market buy can really upturn the cart right now.

2102  Economy / Speculation / Re: This Bitfinex Credit Bubble cannot end well on: January 06, 2015, 09:12:32 PM
This is getting to be a concern.

I've got some low-placed bids, but the problem with that is that if there is a flash crash, Bitfinex has an algorithm to delay it. And they also might intervene to reverse orders as they have done once.  So it is hard to predict how to take advantage of this.  I'm guessing that a small crash will be acceptable, but a larger one could be slowed down (and thus partially stopped) or lead to reversed orders.  So very low bids are less likelier to succeed that you would otherwise expect.

The world's tiniest violin springs to mind for some reason..
2103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 06, 2015, 08:05:24 PM
If you buy bitcoin at this price, you should give up because your family and friends will think you're a stupid. Give up bitcoin game, invest in real assets with underlying values.

Hilarious. Welcome back fallling.

Meanwhile shorts at over 23000. Keep shorting Wink

2104  Economy / Speculation / Re: [prediction] Next spike $560,000 14 months from now on: January 06, 2015, 12:11:11 PM

My posts are made around careful analysis of market sentiment and fundamentals.

Hence, why I've been warning others here for months that price will continue to fall.

So your doomer analysis is circulated freely for the betterment of your fellow man. How kind!

Please give us a gentle summary of 'sentiment and fundamentals' analysis which leads to bitcoin failing. I'd love to hear it.

Occam's razor would suggest you are just a penniless troll trying to manipulate sentiment negatively for personal gain.

So, offer up your analysis. Prove it!
2105  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 06, 2015, 11:54:53 AM
with 19 millions of longs and btc price @ 270 I have my doubts about getting far.

310~320 $ is my guess.

Who knows, let's roll the dice Wink
2106  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 06, 2015, 11:50:19 AM
they have like 200 k coins in cold wallet, but I am guessing that bulls are gonna go and try a btc run once bitstamp opens its doors.

I hope that is their plan, cause we all love those pumps.

Well with shorts at ATH on finex we could bounce up a fair distance, no?
2107  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did Bitstamp make the crash to $270 zone? on: January 06, 2015, 10:06:26 AM
Crash has nothing to do with bitstamp.

Other than you being short and talking your book, do you have any reason to suggest otherwise?...

Before accusing others of "talking their book", you should learn more TA.
This drop was predictable, I and others predicted it but I was surprised that it started 2 days earlier than expected.

Coming from the master book talker himself that is quite a statement. How many of the last bubbles did you predict with TA?
2108  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 06, 2015, 09:56:43 AM
all those mega bears gone real quiet?

all your short profits locked up in fake fiat in an insolvent fake exchange? boo-hoo ... naked shorted and crashed the asset underwriting the exchange holding your fake profits ... what idiots, you are better off at vegas.

hacker who has the coinz makes the rules.
Bitstamp didn't have margin trading.

now they have NO trading whatsoever! hahahaha
lol

Hoping people will be able to get their money out, or it won't be much fun for them.

Although I wish loss on noone, there would be something delicious about a certain bear troll with >5000 posts bashing btc finally buying back in at the exact moment bitstamp goes dark Wink
2109  Economy / Speculation / Re: More Bitcoin adoption = lower Bitcoin/Usd rate! on: January 06, 2015, 08:58:49 AM
you cannot make any assuptions on true demand or true supply. or true value...

because the indicator you all only see is the price. and this price is so fake you dont realise it.

just look at the exchanges. they are not moving 13million coins. they are not even moving 1.3 million coins. they are not even moving 130k coins...

the exchanges are moving less than 1% of the market cap. infact its less than 1 tenth of a percent. so trying to link exchange movements to proper market trends of the whole 13million coins is utterly obsurd!!

open your eyes people, the exchanges should not be the value bases of bitcoin

Hence when something with real market depth appears fake Chinese exchanges will entirely cease to have any meaningful push or pull on the exchange price.

A new liquid ETF or a regulated US exchange are my bets.

No this is just nothing but plain short covering. It will bounce a little and then head towards the $200

You know rather than guessing you can just see that btc swap contracts are only very slightly below their all time high level, right? Currently over 22000 contracts.

Yes but in all honestly it doesn't really make much difference.

Well it makes a difference between lying to support your short position and reality.
2111  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did Bitstamp make the crash to $270 zone? on: January 06, 2015, 08:15:28 AM
Crash has nothing to do with bitstamp.

Other than you being short and talking your book, do you have any reason to suggest otherwise? Occam's razor would suggest you are wrong.

Few months back $275 seemed dirt cheap and a gift from satoshi and now we touched it as resistance after a low volume bounce.

 Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Yes and if we were to experience a 2013 rate of growth again, we'd be put at $35k/BTC at the end of november. Funny this market, ain't it?

Mt Gox, the biggest exchange in the history of bitcoin, closed and stole acount holder funds, and now it appears that Stamp -- less than one year later -- is experiencing some significant problems of its own.

Merchant adoption means very little any more. Companies adopt bitcoin and the price barely moves.

It would take nothing short of a sovereign country adopting bitcoin as its national currency to cause a spike in price again. Face it, the 2010-2013 bull market is over and the bubble is now deflating. There's very little to get excited about anymore in the world of bitcoin. Expect the price to continue falling.

Take this crap to other threads or talk book less.
2114  Economy / Speculation / Re: Please sell your coins if you are nervous on: January 05, 2015, 12:57:24 PM

The only thing here which is toxic is you, urchin!

I understand your anger. You're living in denial. For all I know, you might have fiat and/or BTC funds stored in Bitstamp, and it's painful for you to realize that you'll never get them back.

Have fun with this whole Gox 2.0 situation. More cheap coins for you true believers, right?

No all my btc are in cold storage where they will remain for at least the next halving. The price can go to zero and though I will be disappointed the project failed my real life will be entirely unchanged.

The reason you are a loser is that you have been burnt by bitcoin once and now embittered by the loss you post negative tripe to attempt to sway forum readers into selling. And why? So you can have a second chance to buy in - expecting large subsequent price rises, after you do, of course. If you had balls you would have shorted this decline instead of clogging the forum with bile.

I would wager most bitcoin enthusiasts are like me. If they are they will seize this manipulated decline by adding to their holdings.

Keep hoping for double digit coins! Smiley

2115  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm buying and HODLING!!! on: January 05, 2015, 12:38:17 PM
A lot of the guys saying to hold and wait it out are probably people who paid very little for the bitcoins and therefore can hold and have an incentive for you to hold.

If you paid more than $300 for a bitcoin and continue to watch your investment take losses is far more difficult.

The way I would look at it from an investment standpoint is anybody really convincing me why it should go higher? Why did it get so high in the first place? Why did it take off and go mainstream when it hit $1000 and was in the news every day?

Loss minimizing is also a very important part of investing. If you are taking losses then you should cut them.

In my opinion bitcoin will rise a little from here before the next leg down to $200. But that is just my speculation opinion of course.

Weren't you advising people to sell at 2 dollars in 2011 rather than hold?

That is a rhetorical question of course. You were parroting the same garbage then, though the price has risen 140x since that point, even at the depths of the bear market we find ourselves in.
2116  Economy / Speculation / Re: Even CoinDesk is giving up on bitcoin on: January 05, 2015, 12:20:34 PM
Lol you are reading too much into what they post. And in the end coin desk doesn't determine the fate of Bitcoin....the free market does.

Coindesk feeds Kool-Aid to the Kool-Aid merchants and keeps their hopes alive, leaving them holding the bag, as everyone else bails out.

If Bitcoin were dead, then cryptocurrency won't survive.

Technically Bitcoin and other bitcoin 2.0s are the same with the same basic technologies: BlockChain,Decentralized/Anonymous design...2.0 is just a Bitcoin-Improved version, and what most people know about cryptocurrency is only Bitcoin , most of them don't even know what is NextCoin, Ethereum....

Dunno about that.

Bitcoin is already:

Far too slow for transactions to clear
Far too energy intensive to mine and thus far too expensive for the p2p network to be maintained
Overpriced and thus, overmined in relation to adoption

If it turns out that Bitcoin 1.0 was miscalibrated, then I would fully expect a Bitcoin 2.0 of some description to emerge which corrects Bitcoins errs. If Bitcoin fades away, I would keep my eye on the Darknet markets to see which crypto they are using for pointers.

Welcome back. I am not aware of any darknet sites using any crypto other than btc. Are you?
2117  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 05, 2015, 12:08:16 PM
Need to say... I'm impresed there was no panic on other exchanges (yet)  Smiley

The manipulators who dumped us down to new lows have already fired their ammo.

Even with finex and the Chinese fake exchanges you need coins to sell to move the price. Anyone selling will have done so a long time ago IMO. Grizzly believers left now Smiley

Edit: btc shorts at near all time highs on finex. Over 20,000 now.
2118  Economy / Speculation / Re: Please sell your coins if you are nervous on: January 05, 2015, 11:57:26 AM
I'm sure you cultist bulltards will be able to recruit more Average Joes into your imploding ponzi scheme when you keep referring to sane people as "weak hands", "sheeple", etc.

Not a toxic or cultish community at all, amirite?

Anyway: Have fun going down with this ship.

The only thing here which is toxic is you, urchin!

With Gox, Willy and Markus gone, there's nothing left to fuel another delusional and unsustainable bubble. We're just witnessing the correction back to single digits, where Bitcoin belongs, since that's the natural value of a currency whose only real utility lies in its use as a medium of exchange on the deep web -- by a few thousand child pornographers and drug addicts. Amateur speculators can't drive the price back to the moon again when whales, early adopters, miners, developers and other bag holders are dumping en masse. Tough luck for the cultists and bulltards.

A year from now, Bitcoin will be sub 50.

This is after you sold at a huge loss..

That's a great reason to short. Sub 250 coming by end of next week.
I predicted all of this. Read my latest posts.
Sub 250 coming by Monday. Mark my words.
I think we'll mostly trade in the 250-350 range for a couple of weeks or so.
Sub 300 coming by Sunday. Sub 250 by Wednesday, then brief dead cat bounce to 300ish prices.
Double digits by April 2015.
Sub 250 by Christmas. Sub 100 by summer 2015. Sub 50 by 2016. Sub 20 by 2017.
Anyway: Bitcoin is still massively overvalued, and double digits will come soon enough.

And from before you bought high sold low..oops.

I believe it will happen in 2014.
At least 10k.
According to certain charts, it will reach 10k in May. 100k in August.

GTFO! Smiley
2119  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 04, 2015, 09:25:42 PM
...the whole ecosystem will have to start from scratch basically.

Only for coins with value driven entirely by speculators.  Now imagine a coin that's actually useful & not driven by hype...

Every useful coin will be driven by hype when traders realize the coin is useful...

Sure, so would toilet paper.  The defining difference between something driven entirely by hype & toilet paper being that toilet paper is useful.

Do you even read the tripe you post? One would think you would get bored after 5000 posts in 9 months. We are.
