Tihan and Zhou both specifically told Patrick and Donald to refund my 24,841 bitcoins,  but Donald and Patrick both refused.
One day after legal action was threatened,  they announced this hack.
Cause,  or coincidence?

this ^^
2102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoinica MtGox account compromised on: July 13, 2012, 04:06:06 PM
I'm going to go out on a limb and say this has been the working of cabal group this whole time to scam everyone out of their bitcoins. Just to many things don't add up - a hack there, I used to work on it there, he owns this I don't own that ... anyone else getting the same feeling?

*grabs some popcorn* Ah my little thebitman what have you done here!  Sorry, there is hardly any sympathy for this WE CLEARLY warned him PAYPAL is not sympathetic to bitcoin buying or selling!  Matthew N. Wright specifically blasted thebitman about this I do believe ? How is that being entrepreneurial?

At least he hasn't fled yet!  just a matter of time because this isn't going to end well unfortunately.  Shocked

2111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Using bitcoin addresses for captcha..... on: July 01, 2012, 07:05:12 PM
1.Captcha shows a Bitcoin address + a random number of BTC to pay
2.User pays x.xxxxxxxx BTC
3.User gets 90-99% of his/her coins back after 14 days (unless he/she has been reported by the owner of the website)

basically, this is what I proposed originally in another thread  that started all this discussion....lol

My guess is that it will probably get displayed with the other Computers, Linux, Gaming, or hobby magazines.

Thanks for the heads up! Yes, figured those categories thanks again!

The article is #1 on HN ("hacker news" aka ycombinator news) at time of posting. Coinbase is notable because its a Ycombinator startup founded by a former employee of Airbnb, which itself is one of Ycombinator's most successful ventures to date.
