2101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Amir Khan vs Kell Brook - Feb 19, 2022 on: January 26, 2022, 08:57:22 PM
Much better if we have a poll here? Just saying.

That's right, a poll would tell us what's the pulse of the majority, and I think this fight, we have no heavy favorite or the vote could be an opposite of what the bookies are telling. This would be happening in less than a month and the odds are already available in our bookies, so it's nice to know early what everyone thinks about this fight.
2102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The faith of Altcoins in 2022 on: January 25, 2022, 11:21:03 PM
Frankly saying don't have much faith in altcoins as most of them will not give any returns in the long run.
But at least we are seeing some altcoins are still profitable and that is why I still have faith in them.
Quote
There will be many in the market and slowly you will see them lying dead inside your wallets. But there are few who have strong project development and use case like SOL is one coin which seems good and promising to me but the fact is network instability as it's down three to four times till date which is major drawback for it but still there are other factors that will boost the prices.
Shitcoins and meme coins are hopeless, they can be soon going to die and only projects that have a working product will able to survive. But despite this thing, I'd still make my way to trust and invest some of the altcoins. I invest in BNB, ETH, and Sol, and I think I was right choosing them knowing that these projects have grown and seen more development happen last year.

Anyways, I was looking forward to seeing the market back to green again and seeing this year still be a healthy market.
2103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Metaverse a bubble? on: January 25, 2022, 10:40:19 PM
Starting from this principle that you name from Facebook, I don't see it as a bubble or a simple fad either, I think the metaverses are here to stay, obviously this will be a world where there will be freedoms that cannot be executed in real life, however the metaverses they are so ingrained in us, that without having come out in their entirety we are already needing it, a common example is the NFT games in the metaverses, the networks that will be most sought after are the cheapest for their fees, so not only in any eventuality metaverses can be used but in game development and others.

Metaverses is a new hype, which, using the example of some projects, has shown that people are interested in it and therefore in the future it will gain mass character. I don’t think that the metaverse is a bubble that will burst soon, I think that an alternative reality will be to the liking of many. If people there buy land and property for cryptocurrency, then they will not refuse it so easily.
It is very common to see hypes when another set of projects comes in the market like Defi, NFTs and expecting this will also happen to metaverse someday. And yes, we can't decline any chances that it becomes a bubble, some projects in hyped just burst a few months after and this could be the scenario to see for the metaverse. That is why it was too risky to investment projects that are hyped, not ideal for long-term investment, honestly.
2104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 25, 2022, 01:33:38 PM

Cleveland against the Knicks, I will put my money on Cavs -5.5.

i go with Knicks ML because its destiny in my opinion

Destiny for them to lose, lol. bad pick man, better luck next time. If you get the handicap, you could have won the game, but like I said, better luck next time, I hope you'll win.
2105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 25, 2022, 01:02:26 PM
.... but I think WB has to be blamed other than anyone else. When he plays bad, the whole team plays bad and there's a reason for it. He's the PG and he has the duty of build-up play and assisting. So he should play more consistently.
When he plays bad, the coach should not allow him to continue messing up, that's the role of the coach, put the players who contribute and not to mess with the team. If the coach was Greg Popovich, he would certainly bench Westbrook if he is shooting bricks.
2106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 24, 2022, 09:28:39 PM
The vote says it All with 19 Magsayo and only 6 for russel?

but also i believe that if Russel has no Injury? then Mark Magsayo will be having more difficult chance of winning.
It will be a difficult fight if Russell is not injured. Russell is still very quick and fast even with his just left hand in the fight. Hopefully, we can see a rematch so really see what will be the outcome of the fight.
Indeed, although I bet on Magsayo I gotta admit to myself that it's what I saw. it's just so unfortunate for Rusell, he wasn't able to fight well to defend his title, but I'm sure he'll get a rematch as Magsayo has to prove to the fans that he can win even against a healthy Rusell.

Despite the fact that he is already a champion now, we can still see that he has some weaknesses and that his movement is pretty much easy to predict. The power he has in his punches are good already, there's just some improvement he has to make, it should be the footwork and choosing the quality of punches he has to throw, if he can perfect that, then I would say he really would become a dangerous fighter who has power and speed.
2107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 24, 2022, 09:02:11 PM
The Lakers will win consistently If AD will be consistent in his return as well. Remember how bad AD was playing before he got injured. The guy seems contented with just 1 ring and stopped being competitive. I hope that's not gonna be the case once he return, because this Laker team has really became hopeless, and only AD's return is the most anticipated thing for the Lakers to possibly put a turn around with their current situation.
It doesn't matter if AD gets back healthy or not, they are already bad and no matter how great they could get, they are going to have a tough schedule against better teams from now on out, and they can't win all of them and even if they are slightly over 50%, that is still not enough to be at the place people assumed they would be.

Many people assumed Lakers would fight for a title at the start of the season and we know that no matter what happens this year, they are going to be underwhelming team and results are showing the same thing. They just have 2 superstars, one injured for now, one guy who is a super star but doesn't fit the team, and rest do not look good at all. It is not going to get any better for them.

They are bad but they still have a chance to be in the playoffs. Remember that regular season are far more different than the playoffs, if they messed up in the regular season and lucky enough to be in the playoffs, I think I would not underestimate them as they have the experience and they are capable of winning a championship.
2108  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC Dip on: January 21, 2022, 09:06:08 PM
In 2021 Btc have many up & downfall ,still now it’s again moving toward the downfall ,as it was expected it will touch 100k at the end of 2021 ,does it still expected it will touch its peaks in March ?
Not sure of a certain month, but 2022 could be the exact opposite of 2021. We can never tell, if it's bearish then it might stay longer as we've seen this before. Normal reaction for people to think of a higher price once the market is bullish, but sometimes we are denial and we don't accept the downfall although the trend is already bearish.
2109  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC (or crypto in general) on: January 21, 2022, 08:36:25 PM
Just wanted to revive this topic. Everyone still confident in holding? Hehe.
I see you are smart to see the big picture.

At this time new cases of covid rise to an all-time high. unfortunately you are right.
Many people panic, many markets are also down hard today , including S&P 500 and Dow Jones.
I just wonder why you come to this forum, are you looking for something?

We both know crypto is being affected by Covid19. But I need to laugh or else this forum becomes boring oO
if you are looking good discussion in this trading section, maybe you must be bored.
tell me more, what is your point?

My point is litterly the reason WHY I made this thread. Why would I look for something? I came here to spread what I knew (and share my opinion). We'r going down. You & others should be thankfull I came here. No fairy tales on this side friend.
I little bit surprised that you have seen what will happen in the market. Maybe we should be thankful to you for such awareness but sorry, I haven't seen this topic last month or I just skip it as I was being positive. Well, even though you have found it right this never gives me worries, not at all. I was being prepared for what will happen and I also believe that recovery will be going to start later so I just keep calm and hold my crypto.
2110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happened to the crypto market now? on: January 21, 2022, 03:09:32 PM
We always try to be strong, but the current market conditions are really far from what we expected, even though there is an upward movement but it seems that going back to the value of $40k looks very difficult, seeing this condition really makes us weak and causes negative thoughts.
We have to extend our patients then, it is sometimes the market is in big trouble just like it happens nowadays. But seeing no reason to give, instead, we keep calm and even buy more.

That I buy some coins last week, I obviously in big loss of I sold them but I don't and just hold them. This will be the safe way, I sit down and watch the market maybe we are the first to see the market bouncing back high again.
2111  Economy / Speculation / Re: Market sentiments ? on: January 21, 2022, 02:28:28 PM
Things started looking good, giving a bit relief!!
But wait!!! Again sudden dip of  $5000 in a few hours?? How can we explain it: Are bad actors manipulating it or it just the market sentiments towards downward making such huge pricefall?
Oh yeah, it is not the thing we wanted to, I just think that those uptrend motions are already a sign for bullish but unfortunately, it wasn't. We can't change it and to follow what we wanted, and seeing this sentiment found to be normal. What we gonna do for now is to hold and wait for the recovery, or have to buy more.

We can't still say this will only take a short while, might be possible and might not. Have to observe the market, it changes from time to time.
2112  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do people overestimate BTC? on: January 21, 2022, 01:18:33 PM
That's the reason it's worth holding the top 5 long-term altcoins because it will impact the positive trend of bitcoin, but currently the market is in a bearish trend so it takes time to buy altcoins in February to determine the actual market direction.
In my personal prediction for February, market conditions will still be the same as this month and even if there is a difference, it will only be in a very small size so buying for now is still better than having to wait again next month.

Looks like the 1st month of the year is a bearish month. The fear of some is already here, bitcoin dumped below $40k and we don't know if it will continue to dump, if the market is bearish, then most likely the trend will continue as there will be a correction after a bull run we enjoyed. Keep that patience, buy the dip and hold when the market is not good, besides, these are just temporary.
2113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: January 21, 2022, 12:58:04 PM

According to the news, the fight has not been canceled completely, but will probably be postponed.
I don't know if that's true, but it's probably about a Las Vegas license. It is also possible that it is a pandemic, or as usual, the promoters cannot agree about money.
I think we will find out more details soon.

I think there's still no clear information about this exhibition bouts and even myself I do make research also for this game because even if it is just an exhibition bout still this upcoming fight us hype might have also a good thing to place a bet on. Yeah, still we do wait for a final announcement of this even and until no clear and further details about the event I would assume that it may somehow going to happen well we just don't know when but hopefully will happen.

Well, they see the hype and it's good for marketing, so what's the reason why they cannot give this fight to the fans. I'm sure they'll make a lot of money here, but if it's lower than their expectation, then because of greediness this fiight is not going to be realize.
2114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 21, 2022, 11:46:43 AM

Any match could be cancelled even a day before the actual fight. But there will have to be very heavy reasons for it.

Gary Russell is a great fighter. Not only did he not succumb to Lomachenko's barrage of punches, he even managed to draw the fight at least to a single judge. The fight ended with a majority decision.

This is going to be Mark Magsayo's most challenging fight ever. He is undefeated but I also consider Russell undefeated. Loma is of different level so that's truly understandable to have lost to him. But Magsayo has a strong punch in him that could end the fight anytime.

I doubt if Magsayo can do a Lomachenko in this fight, Russell acknowledged Magsayo's power but he also said that it will not matter if he cannot land that punch, I don't think Russell will do a peek a boo he never did that on his past fights, he will take offense to neutralize and make Magsayo off-balance in his offense if Magsayo can take Russell punch as he did with Ceja he can go for a knockout.

Indeed, Magsayo is nowhere near the skills of Loma, so we don't have to compare. Magsayo has a lot to prove here, he was lucky in his last fight, now it's tougher and a bigger fight, let's see what he can do, can he still remain undefeated after this fight?
2115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: January 21, 2022, 11:01:04 AM
WBC Pres Sulaiman said it's not final

Quote
“It’s an official WBC [eliminator], not final,” Mauricio Sulaiman, longtime WBC president informed Boxingscene.com in clarifying the matter.

https://www.boxingscene.com/wbc-president-thurman-barrios-an-official-eliminator-not-final--163542

So it's better for Thurman and Barrios not to think about it as this could put pressures on either of them. Just play with it and go and fight and see who is going to win. And maybe we wait what will be the WBC's decision after the fight.

Ok, it make sense from WBC to somewhat deny this statement from Thurman and says it is not final.

But in the back of my mind, I'm thinking this could be a eliminator indeed and they will make it official after the fight or maybe after Thurman wins. If ever Barrios win though, I think it will be shelve back by WBC. So they want Thurman to win and face the winner of the Ugas and Spence.

I'd love that, Thurman could be a problem for Spence due to his great boxing skills. I think Spence could beat Ugas, but if he will look for a bigger fight, he might not be able to fight Thurman as unification is more interesting than fighting a challenger. It's hard to predict, anything could happen, but either way, these boxers are fun to watch.
2116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just me thinking about this NFT craze this way? on: January 20, 2022, 09:57:46 PM
As good as NFT sounds to me there is another part of me that just feel like NFT is nonsense, crypto investors are pumping billions into a cartoonish looking monkey for what? To store that money or hope to get bigger money later? I smell perfect way of embezzling dirty money, illegal shit and so on
if you ride the hype and invest there earlier, you got a huge profit but if you were investing them during its peak, you'll be getting close to losses.

Just looking at their market performance, I feel bad about the future of these NFTs projects especially as these Metaverse projects had been taking their advantage. If we have these NFT's in our wallet, I'm not sure but selling is the best option than holding them for a long time.
2117  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop or continue trading on: January 20, 2022, 09:41:51 PM
When bitcoin was at 65000$ I just leave trading because I was thinking that it will become dip soon.and all you know better that bitcoin suddenly dip too much as we thought. now it is the right time to take entry.
When there is a sudden bull run it will always amount to a follow-up dip which is what is happening currently and again if one is an experienced trader with a lot of skills it will be easy to flow with the market trend and still achieve good profits.
The entire cryptocurrency market has been occupied by a lot of traders with diverse tradiskillsill and signals that help them make good use of the market volatility.
Go with the flow kind of suggestion is something that really easy to say but once you are on the actual situation then you would really be finding it to be hard to determine on what
action you would make neither buy or sell on particular situations.

Trading is never been predictable on the first place that's why mistakes and losses would be inevitable and this is where you should be aware off so that you wouldn't really
be thinking off on quitting directly.

If you do have passion towards this market and handling it out well then you could really take advantage.
People who have the mindset of winning will certainly have a very close chance of winning as well. But if we are a negative mindset, we're gonna have nothing to expect other than losses and then quit. We can make it compare to trading, for as long as we wanted to learn and succeed in this area, we have to be positive as well. However, suffering from great losses will remind us that trading is not just an easy way to gain money but it was also a test of our emotions and mindset. If we are able to win this, we can go further.
2118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling elementary tools on: January 20, 2022, 03:45:15 PM
For beginners, they need to understand the risk first.

Learning the game is easy but understanding the risk is hard if you are not open-minded. That's mostly the reason why we lose more than what we can afford to lose because we don't understand the risk, we are just looking at the reward and not knowing our real chance of winning, in short, being realistic is necessary and you'll only know that if you learn the risk and reward and consider both of them as an outcome.
2119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 20, 2022, 12:04:03 PM

I don't know the reason why he said he has an injury if he will not disclose it. If he will still fight despite the undisclosed injury, then he cannot make it as an excuse if he lose, or does he prepare it already as an excuse if he loses in the fight? Nowdays, it's hard to trust because sometimes they are using an "injury" as an excuse for the fight to be postpone or worst to be cancelled.

The chance that odds will be changed after this revelation, I don't know if bookies will buy this reason or it can also be a trapped.

But you are right, why bother to tell this one into the public if doesn't like to reveal his real condition, either its or excuse this fight should continue.

Lots of fans are waiting and hoping to see Magsayo to win, even there's a slight excuse from Russell's camp probably it will still benefit Magsayo

if he wins this one. Wink

I check the odds out of curiosity, and it seems like the odds remain the same. In my bookie, Magsayo is still 3.90 and that was even higher than before which I think was 3.80. Well, maybe this news is not verified or bookies does not believe that it will change the chances of Magsayo to win.

That's a good odds for Magsayo, he has a great chance to win via upset, so whatever Rusell are saying, whether good or bad for him, it doesn't matter, what matters is Magsayo is fully healthy and willing to give everything in this championship fight.

^^ Jazz has been struggling when Gobert is out, what's more when you include Donovan on the mix. Plus Clarkson has been struggling lately and it seems he is out of the groove.
I don't know what's his problem.. last season he was playing very well and won the 6th man of the year. There must be something wrong inside to make Clarkson struggle this season. He is only averaging 15.2 ppg this season compared to 18.4 last season.
https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/c/clarkjo01.html

For the Lakers lost though, only Lebron keeps trying to keep the team. Nevertheless, others are also trying to contribute but the Pacers are the better team that night. Levert really exploded in this game and hitting his shots and so is Sabonis.
Pacers are playing as a team always, maybe coach Vogel was a bit embarrass as his old team beat his current team.
