1101  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should I invest in cryptocurrency or start my business? on: January 11, 2023, 09:48:55 PM

Unless you don't intend to work again, have enough capital and is sufficient enough to absorb losses, I wouldnt advise starting a business just yet. Weigh the pros and con's apart then you can really decide which would pay you better in the long run.

We don't need to be discouraged from starting our own businesses. Op seem to have had experience from working for somebody and wants to take a necessary risk and chances are there that he can succeed if he gradually go in for it. He doesn't need to stop his work entirely but can reduce the rate of focus and divert his strength, energy, ability and ideas to grow his business. At least now he is a freelancer, so he has more control of his time.
Running a business needs more time, especially at the start and if OP has enough time to manage it while still at work, success is not impossible. I support the idea of doing this because this is also what happen to me until such time I decided to stop working and focus on the business we've started. It is really all about what we think could be the best for us and our passion. But I see that most business owners are doing nothing instead, they focus and allocate their time solely to their business which I think we should have to think about and do this if possible.
1102  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC Price Drop - How are Bitcoin Long-Term Holders Responding? on: January 11, 2023, 09:23:48 PM
Btc is a strong coin even if the worth is reducing so its holders are not losing their hopes because they believe that one btc will be much higher as its previous worth and i think that those who sell it in low and reduced price are the foolish idea for those because btc can never be a coin which can be a cause of one's failure. Hence the price is low but after some months undoubtedly it will be up again and holders will be getting benefit out of it.
Its already a long way for them to sell off their bags, if they had made out some decision on selling it then they should have done it with those peak prices but since these people tend to be holding no matter what
then it wouldnt really be removed into their minds about those much higher peak price points or ATH's to make on upcoming years of this market.

And those weak people will simply sell their coins at dip and lose their money. This is really what happens in the real world, panic causes a lot when we can't control our feelings/emotions because what is in our mind is full of uncertainties and negative views towards the market. And those who can manage to wait for the next bull season will be given big rewards and they are truly investors.
The time will come when all panic seller will realize their wrongdoings and feel regrets about it. Many people had come into this situation after they fail the test.
1103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: January 11, 2023, 08:17:57 AM
@Sithara007, Thanks for sharing.

At least now we know that they are finalizing the deal. The talk now is this fight, no more Spence vs Crawford, or anyone with a big name. Spence vs Thurman is definitely a big fight, although Thurman is not a champion like Crawford, but he is a real deal, a boxer that could potentially give Spence his first loss.
1104  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Holding could be better on: January 10, 2023, 11:08:38 AM

Whatever strategy, either hold or do day trade or scalping, the intention remain the same, gaining profits is what traders are targeting
and if they can achieve that then it's a good trade for them.

Patience is highly practicable in this strategy, holding from the bear market to the bull season would turned out profitable only when one chooses the good projects to invest in. Scalping also brings profits on the table but it's very risky since it deal with massive timing and observation of the candle sticks. Scalping also leads to panic if one is still a newbie in the market, motion is not stable and very difficult to deal with, with the up and downs of the market, one can easily make the wrong decisions which will lead to either lose or liquidation of trading accounts.
If we are not good at trading, I think holding is the best option to take.
In this bear season, we need to be careful in making decisions because this will have a huge impact not only it cause losses but also it will affect mentally. Well, we can say it was a huge challenge for us until when we hold but I was sure the bull season will come soon, and get bug rewards from patiently waiting for it. It is really need not to get affected by the FUDs.
1105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Dev is not your friend, so be careful. on: January 10, 2023, 09:40:54 AM
There are lots of victims of this kind of method where the Dev and the telegram managers are being friendly in the AMA but the real thing is, they are luring their investors to trust them and to listen to every promise they made, and suddenly they will gonna stab them in the back by not doing anything about the project and leaving the project behind to fall. I had the same experience when attending an AMA event with the DEV of some NFT games and most of the time they will tell you about the things they will gonna do in the future but they have their own different agenda when it comes to stealing the money of their investors.
They are doing this just to look trusted and the group is active but once the participants fall into their trap, they'll gonna leave (exit scam).
Though I'm not going to say that they all are scams, there are many projects that are still left that can be trusted. But as we heard a lot of scam issues, trust is hard to be given especially in the telegram groups. Because even if we do a deep search, it is never enough to tell that project is worth trusting, some have a good performance in their early days but it turns scam later.
1106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco on: January 09, 2023, 06:37:46 PM
^^ There is also factor that made Mayweather famous and rich, he is brandish, talks to much and I would say has the charisma, and the whole character. I don't think Haney will have that even if he has 0 losses when he retire.

Yes, that's true and that's exactly the side that Haney doesn't have, that's why most people looks at him as one of the boring boxers in the industry because his fights in the past had no hypes at all. He's only became famous these days because he does have the undisputed title in the lightweight division as he also holds all the belt under his possession, and that definitely attracts good boxers that will hype their fight and market it, just like now as he will be fighting Lomachenko soon.

Aside from that fact, Haney's not avoiding any boxers unlike Mayweather who did that tactics in his pro-career. But I know that it's still arguable as it's still too early to tell because Haney is still decades away from the retirement phase.

I definitely think that we're too early discussing and comparing Devin Haney with Floyd Mayweather Jr., because in the latter's years, he is not really backing up anyone and doesn't avoid any fight as he's still climbing the ladder and doesn't even know if he can retire undefeated or not. Young Floyd was just focusing in his present during his prime years, just like what Haney did now. So, we will see it soon when Haney will become older and if he will be picky with the fights or not. Because if not, then he's really incomparable with Floyd.
1107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 09, 2023, 05:45:46 PM
Bucks were not doing pretty well, with 4 wins in their last 10 games while the Knicks are doing well at 4 wins in a row. This is a good match and the odds are close, I think I will pass and try for a window of opportunity at live betting.

Memphis Grizzlies - San Antonio Spurs - Grizzlies -10.5. I hope this time Ja Morant will play, the status of him and Adams are in game-time decision but with that spread, a high chance he will be present.
Sacramento Kings - Orlando Magic - Kings -6.5. They are hungry after that close game loss against Hawks and Lakers.

I agree, Bucks were not that good recently but considering the data, they are playing impressively in their road games and this time, they might have a good night against the Knicks as they will play it in Madison Square and they needed a good bounce back from getting defeated by the Charlotte Hornets.

I'll tail you with the Kings bet, I think they can manage enough and cover the spread against the Orlando Magic as Bol Bol won't be around. Lately, I've been watching more from the Kings game because I find them interesting and the Pacers as well.
1108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting Types Newbies Should know About on: January 09, 2023, 04:54:38 PM
I think the best thing they should know about is not a method or type of betting, but more about how it is something that you will lose money on most probably and you should be ready for it. If newbies end up gambling then they should know that they should not be expecting money at all. I see too many people who start gambling with hopes of making a profit but we all know that it won't happen and you will lose money most probably.

That doesn't require a separate thread or subject. Isn't it just supposed to be normal to know and understand that gambling mostly leads to losing compared to winnings? When someone starts gambling, that should be common thinking already, and no need for further discussion.

Knowing those betting options can somehow help newbie bettors to understand where they should place their bet.

No need to study seriously those though as while progressing in doing sports betting, those terms will be automatically learned in the long run.

sometimes you just need common sense if you are not yet familiar with such types of betting. or better yet, simple search from the internet and you will read a lot of info if you want to educate yourself, if you happen not to know this forum. in this digital age, everything is already offered on the table, it is on you how you will tap those resources.
whatever type of betting you will apply, if you are not familiar with the sports, winning may be slippery from you.

I agree, it's not everyday that you can bump with this kind of thread that OP created dressed as an article when you looked it up in the internet, to help the newbies when it comes to gambling terms and what does it mean. Sometimes, self learning is a must and sufficient enough because that's where you can actually learn rather than reading this thread as eventually, there's a good chance that you will just forget it sometime later. As they said, there's always a first time for everything, we just have to keep learning.
1109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 09, 2023, 02:10:36 PM
Oh, Clarkson. What are you doing?!
This is the second time he raised those fists of him. The first was against Kuminga and now against Desmond Bane and he ain't done even on his way out after ejection due to flagrant 2, acting like a thug in the court. I am a Filipino but I don't like these unsportsmanlike actions, you get mad when you are hit not when you are the one who hit. It's not fit for a physical sport. Also, he acts like he is guilty about the smack in the face of Bane.
If you didn't mean it, say you're sorry or just walk out to the bench. If they attack you then just push them back, don't raise your fist. I bet the NBA will make him fine for that gesture.
Here is the clip.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXUDaOG-gFE
He's doing the Steph Curry "night-night" teasing the Grizzlies.
My bet builder for him and Markkanen was wasted because he was ejected and the Jazz lost the game.
They will meet again on February 16 at Grizzlies' home before the All-Star.

Nobody saw that coming for sure and I can't even notice where did the heat started which made JC raised his fist towards Desmond Bane. I agree, it was too unprofessional from his part to do that because he is not a first timer in this league, so he should know what to do in instances like these and not make the situation much bigger. Recently, JC has becoming more dramatic and suddenly resorts to a provoking actions, it's not good because the Jazz will suffer afterwards as they will be undermanned, hence why they lost against the Grizzlies after the altercation.
1110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 09, 2023, 01:42:41 PM
Surely Gervonta Davis wanted to be underestimated by his opponents because he's viewing that as an advantage because his opponents are likely complacent enough saying that they will beat Tank easily because they are smarter, taller, or stronger. But as of now, none of them has proven that they're much more capable and stronger than Davis. Hector might end up like Rolly Romero, thinking that he was way smarter than Davis but the outcome was definitely different from what he expected.

Tank is a champion, I don’t think that anyone can underestimate him, on the contrary, everyone understands that a fight with such an opponent can turn out to be one of the most difficult in his career. I see that Garcia behaves very confidently, in one of his statements he said that he would knock out Tank before the second round, but this seems absolutely unrealistic to me, it will be a long and hard fight, and Tank in this fight seems to me a stronger.

Davis beats Hector Garcia and it's true that beating Davis before the 2nd round is far from any reality, it's good that Hector able to
survive till the 8th round before he the fight was ended.

There are many solid combinations that Tank throws to Hector especially those convert punches that really shaken Hector.

But at the end of the day, it was Davis who take the win, and moving forward to the original topic, the date is getting closer
both fighters will take their trainings seriously, knowing that they both wanted to KO their opponent.

Hector Garcia also deserved some credits for showing an outstanding performance against Gervonta Davis, it wasn't an easy fight for him and having to manage for 8 straight rounds is considerably good as Davis is really difficult to face because of the latter's vast knowledge inside the ring. And again, it shows how good Davis is, he's been frequently doubted but he also frequently proved why he is the regular champ. In the upcoming months, he will be tested again by an another Garcia who is also a knockout artist like him, this will be interesting to see.
1111  Economy / Economics / Re: The poor people with their reasoning on: January 06, 2023, 12:43:15 PM
Until now there are still many people who do not believe in the crypto world who can earn big money and can manage our economic needs well, Many people are still hesitant about investing in bitcoin or altcoins and they still judge negative things about the crypto world, and this is not only the case for the poor and some rich people also respond too badly about the crypto world without studying well, Then never force anyone to get to know the crypto world without their own desires because we will definitely listen to negative assumptions.
It is because of a lack of education about crypto. Their views will remain thinking negative until such time they will know deeply about Bitcoin. Because what I see is that the majority are just living up to assumptions thinking that Bitcoin is not real but a full of scam. Without proper education, surely it was hard to encourage people to take a look at the benefits of investing in Bitcoin.
We couldn't argue with them, the only thing we can do is to let them discover the importance of Bitcoin, especially during inflation.
1112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coin caused Solana price to rise by 40% in a week on: January 06, 2023, 12:04:03 PM
Maybe they want to pique the interest of investors by pumping in the meme coins launched on the Solana network and I guess that's normal because we've seen it happen a lot before too.
We must be aware of this because this is not a good or bad sign. After all, we also don't know how the project will go.
I also wouldn't think too much about whether the meme coin project would still be trending and would rather focus on bitcoin.
And if people still want to follow the meme coin project, they need to be very careful.
It hypes because of price manipulation. But I don't think this will still gain more attraction knowing that investors now had already learned from their mistakes from investing in projects with the same scheme before. Investing in meme coins is certainly not a good idea and I hope newbies will open their eyes and see the risk of investing in them. I'm not discouraging people from investing in altcoins but be sure we have done with the research and we have to stay away from new projects.
1113  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it true that this AI is good for trading? on: January 06, 2023, 10:04:49 AM
The developer of this project OP put a huge amount to publish and get a better picture of what they have planned. Of course, if we ask any of the team members about this project they certainly be talking positively and promises which could tempt you to try and use it. That is what we could marketing strategy to attract the interest of the community. But what we are looking for is the aftermath and many questions if this really reliable or just speculation.
But for me, it might be good for those who are still learning but it was not better in the long run as the market trend keep on changing.
1114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: January 06, 2023, 07:47:07 AM

And each one says things to himself in his own way:

Hector Garcia says he’ll beat Tank Davis by being “smarter fighter”

That has not to be told, it's already given, I mean you need to be smart in order to win the fight. This isn't his first fight, I'm pretty sure he is using his intelligence everytime he stepped up in the ring. The question here, what if Tank Davis is still smarter than him, then how can he beat Davis?
1115  Other / Off-topic / Re: Mistakes Successful People Never Make Twice on: January 05, 2023, 01:33:11 PM
Making mistakes in life is normal we encounter in everyday life. However, very few people are able to realize and learn from these mistakes. And a mistake sometimes gets us into a problem. and trying to solve the problem and find a solution is a valuable lesson in life. which we will not encounter from a lesson that is only theoretical. We must not be afraid to try again. fix errors, find solutions to each problem and gain valuable experience and try again until it works. Only in this way can we achieve success. and successful people make many mistakes and failures before they are successful. but he did not give up and continued to learn and learn. he evaluates every step taken, he looks for a solution to every problem, and if there is still an error then he reviews the steps taken again and finds out the reasons that led to the error. that's a successful person.
Indeed, we can see we become successful in one thing if we surpass all the obstacles and difficulties we face along the journey, and then grow up and matured. Honestly, a person who is always afraid to commit mistakes will never go far because perfection is not the solution nor it helps us a lot but this will loss of self-confidence and immaturity.
We fall and we rise...if inside our mind is negative, I'm sure we can never see the positive one and close the door for our improvement.
1116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just how bad is the bear market right now? on: January 05, 2023, 12:53:14 PM
Just how bad is the bear market right now?
Historically low prices have endured for a longer period of time in the present bear market cycle than in any other.
It was really bad for those who think that bear season is a losing season but for those who take a look on the opposite side, they consider this as an opportunity. I was not hesitant to see the situation again (and again) but never I seen the market that worse. We only make ourselves bothered too much by the FUDs around and then drive us to think negatively. Panic and emotions - I couldn't really imagine a person would think positively if they already lived to such things.
1117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: January 05, 2023, 12:20:05 PM
If intentionally done and the wild social media attacks take place it will mean of their job, I see your point about that and maybe refs are already aware though we can't tell if they can take that risk, most probably if the money that is being offer is really enticing and can't be ignored, those refs can take it and deal with it.

Even they are risking their job, they are willing to take that to have an instant bulk of money in their paycheck.

With the nature of their job, I think they won't hesitate to take the offer behind the curtain as long as they see some advantage for them the offer. That's why even the Refs are paid to let the other fighter win, we cannot really see how they perform their tricks but we are certain it's there, especially when the fights are close and they find a way to give the other fighter an advantage like for example letting him hit his opponents in the back head which truly has huge damage if constantly done.

I think referee could be as corrupt as the organizations themselves, we have seen some bad calls to the point that it's clear to us that they are biased. Speaking of referee, what do you think of using reply in boxing?

In any case, it's really hard to really have a perfect fight without the referee and the judges messing it up, specially great fights like the Akaho vs Franco recently wherein it was really controversial scoring.

That has become a norm in boxing, don't expect too much, just enjoy the fight, and always believe that sometimes decisions of the refs are not in our favor. Even since in the past, there were allegations already that sports are corrupt, maybe because people are also betting that's why they fix the game to give the bookies huge money, or worst if the fighters themselves would try to sell the fight.
1118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: January 05, 2023, 11:27:22 AM
Apparently, some of the Bay Area Dragon players voiced out their disappointment in twitter about the officiating of game 3.

Blankley and Powell are summoned by PBA for their comments on officiating. You can read the news in the link below.

https://www.msn.com/en-ph/sports/basketball/bay-area-s-blankley-powell-summoned-by-pba-for-comments-on-officiating/ar-AA15ZpeQ?ocid=msedgntp&cvid=1586c138c5784b59b44029017745da3b

What are your comments about this? I was not able to watch the whole game so I cannot comment on this but would like to hear your thoughts about this.
This is one of the reasons why I've lost interest in PBA and so are others. Unfair calls always happen, not to mention the farm teams. Like, PBA has become a joke. They knew they are losing fans but still, they keep on digging their own grave. Basketball from neighboring countries is getting better while PBA is getting worst. There's no hope for this league. We won't be seeing the glory they had back then.
Even some PBA fans does not like some calls, well, obviously, PBA does not want the Bay Area Dragon to win the series because that will destroy their prime. Therefore, we should be smart when it comes to betting on this series, Ginebra should be the right call all the time, if you lose, just double it.
1119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Are You Preparing For 2023? on: January 04, 2023, 09:48:16 PM
HOLD - that seems the best way to do it during this time OP. I didn't see that 2023 is a good year for crypto nor I was expecting big this year. Accumulation may be going to continue but we should be on the limitation. My bag is already filled with altcoins and I guess it is enough. All I gonna do now is wait for the next bull season.
I'd never keep watching the market chart, I don't like to create tension because I don't want to get influenced by the chart and the negative news that I heard around.
1120  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Die or Pump Up in 2023? on: January 04, 2023, 01:57:47 PM
According to Elon Musk, the price of Bitcoin will increase by the end of winter.  And we should not lose hope.  We have to harden our minds.  And everyone needs to hold on to Bitcoin tightly so that it doesn't get traded away from the market.  Whoever has the amount of BTC deposited, rest assured.  And wait, something good will come inshallah.  Inshallah BTC price will increase by mid 2023.  And I believe in Elon Musk's words, so you should continue to believe.  The price will definitely increase.
https://imgur.com/a/XFaaPeI
Elon's words have little impact now compared to before when he is at his peak. Many do not believe what he always says now. It's better if you believe in your knowledge and guts rather than listening to someone. Remember they also have a motive that's why they are saying such things.

It was little to nothing, that is what I see. I couldn't make an investment journey lies on the hand of anyone like him. I invest in Bitcoin because it was decentralized and I believe it grow further in the future. I really don't see Elon Musk giving help to the crypto market, a hyped could not be forever and it will just die. This is why I don't like mentioning the name Elon Musk in crypto, he is nothing in the crypto world. Whatever happens this year whether it will pump or it drops, it is not because of Elon Musk but it is due to the changes in market demand and supply.
