2121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING NEWS: SATOSHI FINALLY REVEALED! on: May 02, 2016, 03:41:06 PM
This thread should be removed really, when will people stop with this clickbait title madness?
Nothing has been "revealed". Just some con-artist scammer who managed to convince gullible people.
Where's the proof?

Only the title needs changing, the thread should stay so as to have somewhere to discuss this.

Theymos should stick a topic about this outrageous claim in this section in order to end this.
he has already posted this on reddit and sticked that on top on /r/bitcoin
2122  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Scam, prettiest lie ever told.... on: May 02, 2016, 03:36:34 PM
Price of Ethereum falling down rapidly. But this does not lead to the conclusion that it is a scam. Altcoins are even more volatile than bitcoins. We have seen downfall in bitcoin as well but it is still surviving rather performing very well. One more reason behind the poor performance of Altcoins is that bitcoin halving is approaching and people are more interested in bitcoins than any other cryptocurrency,

if you don't consider pump and dumps as scams, then you are right. but any coin that is pure manipulation and doesn't have anything other than pumping and dumping with the hype and FUD, then it is a scam in my book. this coin has a bad reputation even if it is not a scam. and lets not forget the recent massive dump by the developer.
2123  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LISK price speculation on: May 02, 2016, 03:29:47 PM
Shit or not, this represents YOBIT LISKS and they are free for trading in form of tokens which will be real LISK when they are finally released. So we already trading with small, limited number of tokens and that is why price can be very high, but what will happen when 100x more (or even more) coins arrives?

you cannot extrapolate the current situation to the real LISK price and the release time.
because what is now being traded on yobit and those two other dead exchangers (they are completely dead, those other two only have a handful of coins with 0 volume) that lisk is not the real thing so the demand is not real either so by the time of release when the real amount arrives at the exchangers there will also be real demand to buy those coins.
2124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [LTC] Litecoin Speculation on: May 02, 2016, 03:18:34 PM
litecoin is currently moving downwards and is a little too soon to predict the price movement of the future, it was not like this a couple of days back when the bitcoin price was going up but that has stopped and litecoin followed!

anyways i am expecting a somewhat stable price for the time being and a rise after this stage, but it may take a week or so.
2125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GAVIN: "I believe Craig Steven Wright is the person who invented Bitcoin" on: May 02, 2016, 03:11:05 PM
Gavin has responded on Reddit:

https://www.reddit.com/r/btc/comments/4hfyyo/gavin_can_you_please_detail_all_parts_of_the/d2plygg

Quote
Craig signed a message that I chose ("Gavin's favorite number is eleven. CSW" if I recall correctly) using the private key from block number 1.

That signature was copied on to a clean usb stick I brought with me to London, and then validated on a brand-new laptop with a freshly downloaded copy of electrum.

I was not allowed to keep the message or laptop (fear it would leak before Official Announcement).

I don't have an explanation for the funky OpenSSL procedure in his blog post.

this sounds like the stupidest thing to me.
we are talking about bitcoin here so all those news sites that are spreading this news should start with a signed message from the known satoshi bitcoin addresses or keys.

hiding it and not publishing the singed message publicly sounds to me like a shady thing.
2126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Soon Back To Sub 1 Dollar on: April 30, 2016, 02:11:29 PM
i think the lowest Eth price is going to be more than $2 because it is above the pre pump pre hype price which seems like a more real price for Ethereum and then there is a chance of more pump and dumps after hitting the rock bottom because there will be more buy at that low price not here while the price is high.

It did oscillate between $1 and $0.75 for some time.
In any case, there is no sanctity to the $1 mark. It is just a round number in fiat terms.

yeah i know that. actually i double checked the price on my exchanger before posting this. that is why i said it is above the pre-pump-price.

after the dust settles the price is never going down to the last price($0.75-$1 in this case) it will become stable above that hence the $2.

although it is all speculation and all the numbers has room to wiggle!
2127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: top20 cons on: April 30, 2016, 02:08:27 PM
my top coin is obviously bitcoin because that is the heart of cryptocurrency and no matter what some FUDsters like to spread it will be strong and never be replaced.

after that i will always look for coins to invest in for short term and get out with the profit.

nowadays i am mostly invested in Litecoin and i am already in profit and buying more since the price took a dive because it will rise with bitcoin without a doubt.

other than that i am looking at some altcoins to see if there is any chance there, one of them is LISK.

and lets not forget about ETH, i am waiting for the mass dump and the big fall to buy at the very bottom, other than that i will never buy it.

Every ico crowdfunding is scam sooner or later you will realize, so it would be very great job to collect names of all those coins and projects , but they already wear one name ICO and they are dagerous just like ponzi.

not necessarily. although almost all of them are scams and/or turning into scams you can not treat them all the same, whenever you see an ICO shout scam. you only should stay aware.
2128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should I invest in bitcoin casinos? on: April 30, 2016, 02:00:58 PM
Op, with that $3000 budget you have you shouldn't be investing in casino - you should create your own casino. With that money you can easily buy decent casino scripts.
With correct promotions and good marketing you can build your own brand. Don't pay for someone else's dream, instead build your own.

nah, it can turn into a disaster so soon.

in order to create a casino the budget is just a small part of the process and only the first step. you should make that casino profitable if you design it, only having the funds and making a casino is not going to make profit for the owner.

you have to know some techniques to advertise your business and make it popular like having signature campaigns, knowing how, how much, and when to giveaway free bitcoin to bring in more players and a lot of other important stuff to make your investment work out for you.

but investing simply in the bankroll of another business (another casino) means you just give the money and then sit back and take the profit. and that is if you are lucky and house don't lose after your deposit and the casino is not scam to run away with your funds.
2129  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: HYIP: Are there any benefits? on: April 30, 2016, 01:55:09 PM
HYIP are very similar to gambling. You can profit from it if you are watchful and abstemious  But you have to realize the moment you want to get up from the table and go home.
Most people are oblivious to that and they will stay in HYIP until the end - when it is usually the end.

i don't completely agree with this.

i say not completely because hypes are risky so as far as risks go they are similar to gambling and you have to have luck in order to find one that is new and not going to run away as soon as "you" deposit.

but also at the same time there is a big difference between them. HYPES are scams so the result of it is not fair while on the other hand gambling is fair you can find a legit site and make bets and even check the provably fair system to check the bet you have made.

aww man i can't wait to see this match between Evil Geneses and  Team Empire that is going to be an epic game between two of the top teams in the world .

i think EG can win on this one but surely this is going to be a super close match and the best of three makes it hard to predict the winner.
2131  Economy / Gambling / Re: 2FA is not working on PrimeDice. on: April 30, 2016, 01:46:26 PM

2132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: WARNING: Remove your funds from Yobit.net before May 1st! on: April 30, 2016, 01:20:25 PM
We already know we can't trust exchange sites as they could go gox any moment but yobit could just be different. They've been around for years and had been paying good to all who participated their signature campaign. I'm quite sure they are earning well enough not to go crypsy/
Yeah your right but not all.. maybe if the price ofbitcoin after block halving has been doubled maybe they will be run after price increase and sell and sell some altoins to other exchange sites so that they can make more money.. all online related in bitcoin is not trusted unlike exchange sites that accept paypal the deposit.. so the you have to power to dispute the site.. all trading sites are not too legit because this is all online base and no real identity from the owner of the sites..
But for now as i can trading there.. i think they have no plan to run because if you remember yobit is starting a signature contest and they are planning to change their signature.. and if im the owner of yobit i have no plan to run your coins because this is a passive income and even the value of bitcoin is increase or decrease im still making a money in my site..
If you are not believe better to save your coins to other wallet that you know that is safe..

exchangers don't run away because of the bitcoin price increase like what cryptsy did, they claim they have been hacked and they release some sob story and then try to show themselves as victims who can't do anything too.

you should never trust an online service (not only exchangers but any service) with your money and you should always cash out before it is too late and keep the funds with yourself and deposit only when you want to make a trade.

besides the signature contest and all the things like that does not change the fact that they are a bad service, and the customers (we who are using thier service are not happy with how they handle things, like crappy support team or wallets that are in maintenance for over a week.

2134  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin crashes? on: April 30, 2016, 01:08:51 PM
litecoin has already dropped after the recent pump, now i am just waiting for the bottom to buy back in because bitcoin will not crash, not anytime soon this year we will only see the rise of bitcoin and nothing else. these small dips are just shakedowns.

and to answer your question, litecoin will always follow bitcoin price up or down.
2135  Other / Archival / Re: Do you use bitcoin as currency or investment? on: April 29, 2016, 12:50:59 PM
i think i have used bitcoin as am investment much more that i used it as a currency. and i have no choice either.

bitcoin price and the volatility makes it a good investment so i use is as an investment too, and since there are no places in my country to spend bitcoin i have only online option which are limited too so i use it less as a currency.
2136  Economy / Gambling / Re: We are working on the new games! on: April 29, 2016, 12:37:01 PM
Dice games are always good and will attract people to play them. especially if they are already invested in the casino and have funds there. so i guess adding dice is a good option.

but also as others have suggested i like Slots also, but it has to be a good design and easy to open on all devices.
2137  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: YOBIT BECOME THE NEXT CRYPTSY - WARNING - SCAM ALERT on: April 29, 2016, 12:33:10 PM
the warning should be in the back of our head whenever we are using any online exchanger, after cryptsy did what they did and ran away with our money (allegedly hacked pfft) i am very careful about what exchanger i use. and especially services like YOBIT that they don't have a decent support team become much scarier.
2138  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 5 Altcoins to collect on: April 29, 2016, 12:22:04 PM
Many coins have good opportunity for such rise we can only remember in 2014 year, but LTC somehow
i believe have best chance for extra good rise because it is very underpriced for a longer time.

i agree with LTC rising especially because of its history but i think currently it has a rather unstable market, it can go sideways as it has shown recently. i have bought and sold a couple of times in the past days for short term profit and i think it is not yet ready for the rise.
2139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LISK price speculation on: April 29, 2016, 12:14:19 PM
How many investors who were so discouraged after Yobt decision to sell their tokens, and whole game started without them..Now what will happen if pump does not occur after release? MAss dump underprice? But be sure on that day support will be minimal.. Cool

i think a lot on us were discouraged when YOBIT added LISK to their exchanger out of nowhere and in one day they pump and dumped the hell out of it with fake orders and fake volumes and fake everything.

but i doubt that it has any real effect on the real LISK release, because as i said everything about YOBIT LISK was fake and LISK dev also sounded his disapproval.
2140  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: April 29, 2016, 12:08:33 PM
gambling is only based on luck so all these topics that are about "everybody" losing or winning are all wrong. because they are trying to make a rule out of something that is not following any rules, LUCK.

so you cannot say "everybody" looses or wins in the long run because there may be somebody who has won in the long run because he was lucky.
