1181  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Arbitrage trading ? on: December 24, 2016, 02:13:27 PM
Arbitrary trading is best when you are trading it with a robot and not bitcoin with fiat but bitcoin with other altcoin. Arbitrary trader most time loss they capital because of lack of knowledge on how the exchange work. I didn't think currently you can succeed with arbitrary trading using fiat because of timing.

yes its good if you have balance in each of the market but if we only buy in bitstamp and then we send it to kraken, i think its wise to do this, because that btc amount can not always fast to completed the confirmation even if we use higher fee, because its depend with the blockchain network, its high traffic or not and many thing should be think, so watch out when you want to do arbitrage trading.

Put high fees is can get faster confirmation, because your transaction have more priority to be proccess on the network.
I'm not really familiar with arbitrage, but i still in learn how this can earn profit. I also research pair btc/usd(or fiat), it's movement indeed moving fast, like @Idrisu said, use arbitrage to trade coin -> coin is have more chance to earn profit.

when you want to do arbitrage trading this way one of the first restrictions that you are going to face is the amount of profit you can earn from your trade. and this method they are talking about if you want to pay extra fees you are cutting your own profit into a very smaller amount and you may even end up losing money.

and besides it is withdrawal from one exchange to another, so you don't control how much fee it has!
1182  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the difference between game and gamble? on: December 24, 2016, 02:04:08 PM
Games is more interesting than gamble and it helps you more proactive and nippy.

gamble can also be a game too and a game can also be a gamble too. it works both ways.

when playing a game if you involve money and bet on the result then it is gambling, and you already having fun with the game to begin with.

then in things that are strictly gambling like poker you can still have fun and call them "game" because it is in fact a game by definition. and as for being online and gambling online goes there are lots of different games, some of which are too fun to play.
1183  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Poll] What will Bitcoin be worth on Christmas Day ? on: December 24, 2016, 01:58:35 PM
Fantastic Bull-Run. Here's hoping for testing $1000.

actually i am hoping it doesn't happen. because going to $1000 now makes price too unstable and i don't like that because there would be fall and a bad one if things become unstable.

right now it seems like price is getting more stable below $900 mark at $880 and passing the $900 and i think it will continue this way until the end of the year.
1184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice Games Are So Much Fun on: December 24, 2016, 01:52:44 PM
fun if you win, but when you lose you will feel angry especially when you lose your money at dice game you can't control yourself
Dice is fun in general but for some people it could not be fun when they lose in a game, however that does not automatically mean that we lack control in gambling that's why we lose, it is just part of the game and we have nothing to do about it to change the reality.

While in gambling, you must ensure that you have the discipline for you to be able to stay longer as what you desired.
Especially when they loses big amount of money and keep trying to chase it back the fun at first will be replace of addiction making your life in such a mess. If you really wanted to have just some fun just use spare money and whatever happens to your game just quit and never play back to use another one.

chasing losses to win them back never works in games like dice where you are gambling based on your luck alone.
but i believe that it is good to do it in other games like sports betting or generally speaking in games that are based on skills and you know that you always have a better chance of winning based on your skills and if you lose once you can in 10 times afterwards.

Are you very sure that luck is the most important thing in getting profits in gambling ..?? . Then how can we know that we have a good luck in gambling ..?? . You need to know that gambling can indeed give you an advantage, but the advantage we can get if we can do something good. Well what I mean is using a good strategy and can control themselves. Because it is something that should have, if we don't have it then gambling will be a place for us to get the loss

i am not saying luck is the only important thing in making profit in general.

but if you read my comment to the end, i am saying it first depends on the type of the game. for example dice or sports betting. in dice it is all about luck and nothing else. but in sports betting it is all about your skills and experience then a little about luck.

and then it is about how much experience you have in that particular game. if you are skilled in sports betting you can make good profit and if not there is no different between sports betting and shooting a dart in darkness.
1185  Economy / Gambling discussion / how much bitcoin price now is affecting your bets? on: December 24, 2016, 01:47:55 PM
i was wondering how much do you change the size of your bets and for example your bankroll now that bitcoin price has gone up to ~$900?

i am usually getting more cautious about each bet and make smaller bets when price goes up just to match the price with the risk i take.
1186  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is being told to people in High Schools about Bitcoin on: December 24, 2016, 01:43:49 PM
I think that is not fair, the teacher only talk about bitcoin bad side and i bet the teacher never used bitcoin before, bitcoin is not an illegal currency, it is the same currency that we used but it is in digital form, bitcoin will crash if nobody used it anymore and when most of the country banned the coin, but until now bitcoin is doing fine, and anyone with clear head, will try to used bitcoin because its so efficient and will try to invest it because bitcoin is potential to grow in the future

it is only one place and one random thing that was told by one random teacher and if i had to guess i would say he had lost money trading bitcoin and now that teacher is pissed off because of the money that he lost because of FOMO buying and then panic selling.
1187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ideas for selling a PC loaded with Top Altcoin Wallets on: December 23, 2016, 02:21:29 PM
It would be great to take a PC and load it with the BTC wallet and all the major altcoin wallets to resell to the general public.  I wonder how this would do on something like eBay or Craigslist.   At least it would be a curiosity piece of people who had some money to spend on such things.  It could be also a way to get greater public adoption.

i have seen so many strange stuff being sold on the internet that this doesn't surprise me at all, but if i see something like this i will only laugh and would never trust it enough to buy because we are talking about a cryptocurrency wallet and it is not safe. and also these wallets should be updated every minute with new blocks, some altcoins every second so i don't see any point in buying one and also i doubt it contributes at all to public adoption.
1188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you do with your winnings? on: December 23, 2016, 02:13:09 PM
the decision i make is always changing when it comes to bitcoin. before when prices were stable and not this volatile rising up so fast, i may have spend the winning amount on something nice for myself but right now if i win anything it goes directly to my cold storage and i won't touch it each day is like $100 profit these days.

Hmm, your experience is indeed quite miserable and that is something you should avoid. If indeed the game or gambling you do just gives losses and you can't enjoy something good in it. Because gambling isn't something that always gives us the advantage. Gambling was like a race and every race there must be won or lost. Better we focus to work offline which we are doing, if you don't want to get something worse in gambling

i don't know if you didn't read my comment or you didn't understand a word that i said but in any case your reply DOES NOT make any sense and is completely irrelevant to what i wrote above!!!

i am saying last month i spent my winning, and today i store my winning which part of this is miserable?
1189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Analysis ETH on: December 23, 2016, 02:09:14 PM
Strong historical support at 0,00172000, over a year ago

[i m g]http://fs5.directupload.net/images/161223/sciprpxk.png[/img]

a year ago was a completely different story and now everything is different in the market. last year ETH was still new and people were not hating it this much.

and although 0.0017 seems far, with another 10% drop of today's price things aren't looking good for ETH at all. and specially since all of the whales big buy walls are being broken there seems to be a massive dump happening. just the other day i saw a 600BTC buy wall melted like butter Cheesy

1192  Economy / Speculation / Re: I sold half of my COLD STORAGE coins on: December 23, 2016, 01:52:14 PM
I sold couple of 100 bitcoins around 800 when it started to fall (2014). After that I made some good and some bad trades.
I decided then that I will sell half of remaining (enough to retire) when it goes above 800 USD. So i did.

Still have enough coins Smiley

yeah sure buddy. those who believe this i have a talking puppy to sell you, contact me Cheesy

those with 100+ bitcoin worth $80000 are not so desperate for their short positions to spread FUD to maybe catch some newbies dumping 0.01BTC in their buy orders Wink
1193  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin in 2017 on: December 23, 2016, 01:46:25 PM
anyone can give out your opinion about bitcoin in 2017 please
will growing trend keep continue in 2017 ?

yes bitcoin has been growing with the same trend for a very long time and it will only continue this way and with these price rises more people will come and increase the adoption which means more growing both in number of users and the price.

do you think it good oppotunies for more shop accepted bitcoin ( paypal, amazon ?)

paypal is not a shop! it is a payment processor and no they will never (at least not for a very long time) accept bitcoin and same thing but with less severity goes for Amazon, they will accept bitcoin if it becomes a lot bigger than this.

which country market will be the central for bitcoin in 2017 ( india , china ?  )

USA as it always have been, China is mostly fake volumes and mostly trading. but US, Canada, and even Japan and Switzerland are places that i have seen many usages and real adoption there.
1194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the location affect when we gamble? on: December 22, 2016, 12:01:47 PM
without seeing the reference from which OP is saying this, it is not possible for us to say anything for sure and he makes it hard to make an speculation about this situation.

but the only thing that comes to my mind is either one of these:
1) the person saying this was having an illusion about a better luck over VPN
2) he may have been talking about some kind of promotion to a certain country members.
1195  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel shameful for being a gambler? on: December 22, 2016, 11:48:58 AM
only a gambling addict who is losing lots of money, money that he could not afford to lose, is feeling shameful for being a gambler.
but if you are only gambling for fun, and as a game for entertainment then it is good in my books. specially if the amount that you are losing is not a ridiculously large amount or even better if you are actually winning something from gambling.
But other people who consider gambling as a bad thing can make you feel shameful, don't they?

who cares about what other people think or say . do whatever you feel is right. and tell those "other people" to mind their own business and be sure that their own lives are full of shame.
there is nothing about gambling itself as long as you are not using it in a wrong way such as wasting money or becoming a gambling addict.
1196  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Turn Gambling into a Profitable Activity on: December 22, 2016, 11:41:07 AM
You copy pasted the intro lel you could either quote it or give your own inputs about the article.

The very first line of the article relates gambling as an "ancient activity of entertainment".That describes it all, people do it for ROI's and what not.Its like the primary source of income for a lot of bitcoiners. The article doesn't explain anything new but the same old stuff what we all know.

Hey here's what most valuable suggestion they have chosen to enlighten people.

Quote
Develop your own gambling strategy: You will need to develop your own gambling style. You should try to make it completely different from all other players and always know when to stop.

What is the point of this article again if I'm reading it to come up with a strategy myself ?
The whole point is to create a click bait. So that people fall for it and the owner of the website will be able to make some money out of those clicks. Ive seen a lot of articles like these other than some prominent websites about strategy the rest r just about adding click bait title and write the most general stuff, to get some clicks.

I see plenty of these kinds of websites and blogs and even youtube videos, that teach about some kind of gambling strategy which is just an iteration of a martingale system or some other system. Then they just spam the article with links to some other website where the writer will earn if his readers click it. It's really annoying and whenever I do get redirected to any other website I automatically close the ad along with the website.

you are forgetting about another (unfortunately) popular these days method which they are using. and that method is advertising a script or bot or some shady code where they design some kind of backdoor malware in their bot or script to steal your coins as soon as you download and try it out.

and i have been seeing an increased number of attempts to spread this kind of malware among gamblers.
1197  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin have just dropped $20 in less than an hour. What happened ? on: December 22, 2016, 11:36:21 AM
I have gone for business in about 45 minutes and  1BTC = $870. When I came back home and check the bitcoin prices, It dropped to $850. What just happened ? Can anyone tell me ? I have checked the cointelegraph and coindesk and still no result.

first of all you should re-think your topic subject because it is wrong. you are looking at it the wrong way. price has gone up nearly $75 in the past 24 hours and now it has come down $17

and if you look at the charts it has always been like this, when price goes up there is a little back-track because people sell and price has to see a correction.

in short nothing out of the ordinary.
1198  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much Trump "bitcoin-friendly-team" affects price on: December 22, 2016, 11:31:30 AM
It's very optimistic, but I don't think it should be completely written off yet. There is still the potential for Mr. Trump and his cabinet to do absolutely nothing with Bitcoin, but speculating that things will go well is definitely welcome. It's not like they have anything that will really do that much, and they definitely won't hurt it during their time in office.

i don't think it is optimistic at all now.
i would have agreed with you a while back when Trump was elected president and everybody was just hyping things because of some possibilities but right now those possibilities have become more of reality instead and it may actually lead to more rises and better days for bitcoin usage.
1199  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's your news strategy? on: December 20, 2016, 03:39:13 PM
[…] with a good news and supported by the demo's and actual presentation of project, even a shitcoin will increase in price.  News affect all even at the sligthest influence,  Good news bring buy demand. and Bad news means dump.  I know you will be excited somehow if one of your shitcoin holdings release a good news because I will be excited too if Im holding a shitcoin and it releases a good news Smiley.

Exactly my point.  Where/how to find/filter that type of news with all that white noise for zillions of other coins?

// Alex

there is never an easy way of doing that. because you can never be sure about what lies behind a news that you read. many times it is FUD, many times it is just Hype because that news source have invested his money into that altcoin, or even bitcoin.

but as he said news always have its effect, you only have to figure out which type news has the most effect and which type has no effect.

for example when you read circle CEO saying bitcoin is going to die, everybody is laughing at him and price continues going up!
but when you hear news about bitfinex getting hacked price drops fast because it is an effective news.
1200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum pump and dump? on: December 20, 2016, 03:24:31 PM
First of all i did not know where to post it so be free to move this topic.

I wanted to talk about the ethereum pump that was happening, i can see that its price has dropped by 25 per cent during the last 24 hours. Was it just a pump and dump? I knew that bitcoin is much stronger than it, bitcoin will be the only world currency soon...
This post is almost 10 months from now ether has big potential right now because of gambling that impose to it and those sucessful project that developers did those ico-s that linked into ethereum is perfect wait till next year before we sell our ethereum it will be pump.

none of these could save ethereum from going down so far. and it is going to continue going down.

have you forgotten that not long ago people were spamming ~$20 price and 1.5 billion dollar market cap? where are they now that ETH market cap is 0.6 billion dollar and price is ~$7 and falling fast?
