1501  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it worth investing right now in MONROE? on: September 07, 2016, 01:16:38 PM
whenever there is a sudden rise in an altcoin price you should either have bought that altcoin before the big rise or buy on the rise and hold it. and when we reach the top of that price it becomes harder to predict if it goes higher or stops there.

for example when price went to 0.018 i sold and took my profit but price started to go even higher to 0.021

as for potential, the coins like monero seem to be getting a lot of publicity these days which will help their rise and it is possible for further rises.

1503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice Games Are So Much Fun on: September 07, 2016, 01:07:03 PM
but its very risky at the same time,if you become addicted to it you may lose almost your everything.

the risk is the fun part of it.
the dice games are one of the best in my opinion if you want to really gamble. because it is easy and will only depend on your luck and nothing else.

besides you can change how much risk you want to take by changing the multiplier so that you have more chance of winning or less chance to win. and this way make different amounts of profit.
1504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Gambling addiction a disease? on: September 07, 2016, 01:02:54 PM
I am not really a gambler but I heard about people who can't quit it and keep losing lots of money. Do you think the attitude to gambling addiction should be the same as to drug addiction?
Should the government forbid gambling and treat somehow those who are addicted?
Or maybe it should be left up to an adult? I mean, should people decide on their own whether they need to gamble or not.
What do you think?

well gambling addiction does exist and many are affected by it and are losing all their life savings on it. but i don't think it is anything like drug addiction because drugs will also bring some kind of physical need for it.

also there are some governments that have already banned gambling but that never works. i think it is up to the people themselves to learn how to not get addicted to gambling, and it is not rocket science either.
1505  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcointalk database leaked? on: September 07, 2016, 12:57:19 PM
I just changed mine.  Not taking any chances around this place--you see all the hackers and the scammers around, and you know it isn't a good neighborhood.  Mr. Rogers is hanging from a light pole with racist grafitti written in red ink across his chest.

I have not yet visited the dark markets, and probably won't.  How much are accounts going for?  I don't quite understand how all of that works.

The last time I checked, it was $10 per account, and the listing said they were compromised accounts. They had 300k+ sales which is on the really high end (In contrast, a tab of really potent acid would have 2-3k sales which is also high)

$10 for a hacked account :O

i bet 90% of those accounts are either dead accounts like a newbie who created a throwaway account to ask a question here with a 123 password or if it is not they have already changed their password.

and just to be safer you can change it now too, and set a strong long password with enough random characters.
1506  Other / Off-topic / Re: When was the first time you bought bitcoin? on: September 07, 2016, 12:53:41 PM
i think if am one of the second generation of lucky people who bought bitcoin, the first being those who bought at lower $10.

i bought bitcoin last year when the price was already low in the range of 300 to 200 and held it until the uprising and have been trading some bitcoin and mostly altcoins ever since.
1507  Economy / Speculation / Re: $615 @bitfinex and things are becoming more interesting once again. on: September 07, 2016, 12:48:02 PM
About time, I don't know why so many people panic dump when something happens to one service. It's always the best time to buy because the price naturally gors back to what it was.

it is mostly because of the manipulations.
when a big hack like bitfinex happened, there is obviously some small panic in the market but so many traders know this so they sell faster and that creates more panic and by the time the sales has begun the panic is at the top of itself and now everybody is selling and hence the big drop but since all those traders who sold the first chance will start buying the drop stops just as fast hence the one day drop.

Yes price seem to be getting back before hack level, but there are still some panic sellers who are shorting out right now. If this rise become consistent  we may see $700 soon after long time.  Grin Cool

i wouldn't be super excited yet. this is good sign that 605-610 is stayed for now but i wouldn't speculate much until it becomes more clear.
1508  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New to Trading on: September 06, 2016, 01:05:42 PM
Hello Cheesy I want to get into alt coin trading, and i want to know where to start, and how to do it. Thanks!

sign up on an exchange service that you like (i suggest either bitrrex or c-cex) and then deposit a small amount of bitcoin there.

you can even start with 0.001BTC which is $0.6 and try trading and making profit on that and when you learned how to do it invest more (1-10000BTC) Cheesy
1509  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: COINS DELISTED on: September 06, 2016, 01:00:52 PM
which coins exactly?

the two in your POLL question (AE : i don't even know what coin is that!) and (DS : there is also no coin by that name only Dashcoin which is DSH and it is already on Polo

for the rest you should check out coinmarketcap.com use the search on top right and find out where you can sell by seeing the Markets tab.
1510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can I use my small amount for GAMBLING? on: September 06, 2016, 12:47:37 PM
i will like to suggest you not to invest your small amount of money in gambling, because you can loose this amount of money in no time, i will suggest you to do shopping for this little amount. you should enjoy this little amount rather than to lose it.
Good suggestion but OP is looking for something from Gambling. I think it is a small amount so if he can lose also he don't mind. So why can't he try in sports betting? Yes in slot games I am not sure that he can make money. But in sports betting if he goes for safe games then it is good profit let's try this.

Well, like most people say gamble for fun OP wants to have fun playing gambling with small amounts and he also wanted to know whether the gamble with a small amount could get bigger course can but chances are very small depending on your luck, you're right, sports betting is one right options
I think so, to start gambling with small amount of bitcoin you shouldn't try type of gambling that just depend on luck like slot games, sports betting is the best option since it doesn't need just your luck but it depends on your knowledge and analysis (80%) to win the bet. Because you just have small amount, the profits that you can get also not so big but be ready to lose your fund too.

sports betting is only a good option if you have the knowledge of it and can make the bets on your own without needing anybody else. but if you don't know nothing about the game and the teams and want to rely on others like tipsters then it is better to stick with dice.
1511  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitPistol - Are you smart enough to solve these puzzles? >>>TEST your brains <<< on: September 06, 2016, 12:39:49 PM
It would definitely be bullet #2 that hit the glass first... followed by bullet #3 and last was bullet #1. The reasoning being that #2 doesn't have any cracks that are "stopped" by existing cracks, #3 only has a crack stopped by cracks from #2, and #1 has cracks that are stopped by both #2 and #3.

That was a pretty easy one compared to the maths involved with the probabilities of dying in games of Russian roulette Tongue

Hi there!

Here is the challenge to test you knowledge of physics. Imagine you are climbing mountain and see as the plane passes near by. Meanwhile in plane two guys decide to play russian roulette and one of them triggers pistol to shoot the bullet in the opposite direction to the plane's movement trajectory. The initial bullet's speed is equal to the plane's speed.

QUESTION:What will happen to the bullet in climber's point of view? Would it stay with climber or fly in any direction?

if i am not mistaken it is called relative speed in English.

it means anything that is inside of a moving object has the same speed as the moving object so the speed of the bullet (Vib) is equal to speed of place (Vp). lets take that direction +
Vib = Vp

and when it is shot it gains another speed from shooting (Vfb) which is the opposite way (-) and equal to Vp again
Vfb = -Vp
so the total speed from the point of view of someone outside is:
Vtotal = Vfb + Vib = 0
meaning it will stay still from climber's POV
1512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why people use dice bot? on: September 06, 2016, 12:36:18 PM
instead of using your brain, which is painful, spending your money. good reason Smiley

if you are so interested in brain using you can start your own bot Smiley
it is not that hard if you know a basics of programming language. and there is already many open source projects you can base your bot on them.

also using a bot means you are giving all control to a machine so you don't get emotional in gambling yourself and stick to the strategy.
1513  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bankroll Management Challenge! on: September 06, 2016, 12:31:22 PM
This is good strategy for sports betting, and I think you will have success with it. I see you are betting on 1.5 odd, or around that is ok. You don't risk too much, I think 5 % is a bit too high, if you try some smaller percentage you can easily double your next bet.
I wish you good luck, maybe I will try to follow some of your bets, what I can see you are not bad in this predictions. Good luck once again, I hope luck will follow you.

I agree that 5% is quite a lot. Especially there can be a period where you are off in your prediction. You can get all 10 over matches wrong and you would have lose 50% of your bankroll. To get back to original value, you actually need 20matches all correct.
It is not a lot when you do not have a lot of investment, flat betting is recommended so you will test your skills in gambling. For me, I would recommend you do it in sports betting as there is a big chance you can win in the long run. Just have to select games that you can cap well so the outcome will favors you most of the time.

there is nothing saying 5% is bad and flat rate is good or vice versa.

it all depends on the players themselves and how they want to go about gambling their own money. although when you set a strategy for yourself you have to stick with it till the end. and never switch everyday.
1514  Economy / Speculation / $615 @bitfinex and things are becoming more interesting once again. on: September 06, 2016, 12:25:43 PM
as i said before the stable low price was only temporary and we can see now that bitcoin price has already started to move back up again.

it is $615 on bitfinex by the time of posting this message.

and remember that this is only going back to the real price before the bfx hack and the panic sells. and by that time we were on a rise.
1515  Other / Off-topic / Re: The bitcoin in daily life on: September 06, 2016, 12:22:13 PM
i'd never use bitcoin as a payment, because i don't really what kind of transaction using bitcoin. and yeah, i just make some earning here and save it.
it's because in real life in my country, bitcoin is not legal and government has not give a responsibilty if we're lose our money.
my friends doesn't know what is bitcoin. but sometimes i tried to invite them to use it.

So how's the exchange there? I mean did you have any ways to convert your bitcoins into fiat?

Because I think you will not continue to earn bitcoin if you can't use it for your own purpose.

there is always many ways to convert bitcoin to fiat even if you can't find a decent place or any place at all to sell your coins for local currency. i say this because i have problem sometimes selling bitcoin in my country.

you can sell bitcoin to USD or EUR or any other fiat that you feel easier and then sell that to your local currency which is the easiest way. there are many payment processors online you can use for that.
1516  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All these banks are now useing bitcoin on: September 06, 2016, 12:18:24 PM
if banks decide to start using bitcoin and getting involved with it, then i guess that would mean bitcoin has already reached the mass adoption stage and also the government has already made it legal and official currency.

so in this case i don't think it matters what banks do by that time since bitcoin would be already big.
1517  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia officially allows Bitcoin on: September 05, 2016, 02:55:01 PM
There a few company's in Moscow that are and have been selling mining machines for sometime.  There has been some good progress and I do fell it will be allowed sooner, but it does scare you when 7 years imprisonment for anything to do with bitcoin.

here some good positive news I seen lately.

http://www.econotimes.com/Moscow-gets-first-physical-bitcoin-exchange-263630

http://forklog.com/v-moskve-otkrylsya-statsionarnyj-bitkoin-obmennik/

Russia always had a weird kind of relationship with bitcoin in my opinion. they have been saying we will ban bitcoin and imprison anybody who uses it but there were no rules about it and now they are legalizing it. besides i have been hearing news about their big bitcoin conferences in Moscow every year.
1518  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Gambling Site?! on: September 05, 2016, 02:50:33 PM
the good thing about gambling sites and bitcoin is that there is a lot of them available these days so you can never say there is a lack of variety. but there is never "the best" when things are like this, and there is a lot of competition going on. there will always be a bunch of top sites which are all good and you can choose on that you personally like.
1519  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: do you think litecoin price will go up soon ? on: September 05, 2016, 02:46:28 PM
Do you think litecoin price will go up soon by the end of this year ?

the market is ready for a rise. i can't say soon but it will happen in the near future.

the price has already been stable for the past month with a tiny rise and we have already tested the bottom price and the resistances so i say we are pretty ready for the litecoin rise.

also the bitcoin price is starting to move up again (up to $600-610) and that always helps litecoin price to rise.
1520  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will China buying help the price to recover? on: September 05, 2016, 02:37:15 PM
More Chinese investors might start to take bitcoin more seriously after the recent devaluation in the Yuan.

this has been happening for some time now, and even if the value of Yuan falls drastically not all Chinese will look for investment and also from those people who do not all of them look into bitcoin and from those not all will act on it.

Quote
How will the bitcoin price react in regard to this?

those Chinese who wanted to invest in bitcoin has been doing it for a long time now and i don't think it can change things now.

although this may be considered a good news and cause a rise regardless of what i said.
