2121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto for the homeless - California volunteer doing some good work! Check it! on: July 16, 2021, 09:01:23 AM
God bless OP, but please just make sure you ask them if you can take the photo. Better still for me,,, take a photo of them sitting with you and eating the food together. I know this is a good thing but it is nicer to just have proof that the food is given and no need to take photos of them getting the bag. Homeless people may not be able to say no:)

that is not a bad idea at all. I may do something like this coming up. Thanks!

You are welcome:) It is important to remember that all these guys are people just like us,,, and sometimes because of their bad situation, they may feel forced to do something they would rather not (like getting their pictures shared). I think it is great work you do but we can also still portray them as people just like us. So good to see Bitcoin doing good as usual.
2122  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Look for exchanges that don't accept kyc on: July 16, 2021, 07:43:52 AM
Which makes Binance and Bittrex currently also not the best for me, as both have 2 and 1 BTC daily limit without requiring KYC BUT as jackg points out also only for crypto.
Also don't be fooled by these conditions even if you want to trade with small amounts.
If an exchange has KYC rules then it could apply to every single user on their platform at any time that the exchange decides so. For example you could be trading with 0.01BTC and some day they lock your account and demand that you submit your KYC documents out of nowhere.

I agree and apply the same principle for any crypto service. If they HAVE KYC,,, even if they say you do not need it necessarily before you hit certain thresholds, there is always the chance that they will decide to do it to you. So if you are not prepared to KYC for whatever reason, then you avoid these sites.

Only Bisq has absolutely no KYC but the traders themselves might require so you have to ask.
2123  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportsbet.io - Main sponsor of Southampton FC on: July 16, 2021, 07:12:31 AM
I think it is a really dumb decision to ban Russia but then again they did not help themselves with all the stuff they started (against what I would say is the spirit of Olympics). Any games without Russia is going to miss a lot of value but I guess this means even more gold for USA.

Cannot wait for Olympic Specials and thank you Steve for explaining about Watford,,, yes it is a great shame but I think you have two good teams anyway in EPL so expansion elsewhere is Strategic:)
2124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: F1 Formula Sports Racing - Sportsbet.io promotions & discussion thread on: July 16, 2021, 05:56:42 AM
Hamilton should be able to break the form of the main favorite but I wonder if we have another surprise coming,,, when the specials come out I bet we can see like Bottas had a special last one and he actually finished second! But of course that was a lot behind so I had no problems considering making this also +12 seconds for the last question:)
2125  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't be too desperate to make earning on: July 16, 2021, 05:25:11 AM
Face it all of you,,, not one of you was built for trading. Learn another skill,,, or improve the one you already have, most likely the job you are doing now is the one you are already good at and can improve at. Earn more money, live a better life, improve and educate.

On the side, you buy Bitcoin with Dollar Cost Average strategy (look it up).
2126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH also breakout the resistance zone and now trading near $2330 on: July 15, 2021, 03:47:14 PM
I agree Ethereum doesn't have to obsess over Bitcoin, most importantly until now Ethereum is still the best altcoins and has a large community.
It's all because Ethereum has a good team, therefore Ethereum is one of the old projects that still gains the trust of many investors. It can be seen that the performance of Ethereum since its release in 2015 until now has increased quite significantly. I agree the imminent hard fork should be able to push the Ethereum price up, therefore I still hold the Ethereum that I have. Although the price of Ethereum eventually dropped below $2000, but I believe the price of Ethereum will go up again soon.

Actually,,, I doubt that Ethereum any more looks at Bitcoin, maybe during the 2017 days when people were crazy about Flippening talk and thinking dapps would take over the world but the proof has died down and they understand now Ethereum just needs to take care of business and build and build,,, and keep on building.

More people are bought over, including myself, when they changed their perspective.
2127  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [Interview] Crypto business in Kazakhstan on: July 15, 2021, 03:08:07 PM
Interesting read thank you for sharing that! If I am not mistaken in Kazakhstan they have allowed for crypto businesses to operate legally and even gave them a bit of tax breaks for first few years especially in the big mountain areas surrounding the new capital. Their current president is really keen to open up to the world so this China thing is good news for him. Plus the big China to Russia route runs through Kazakhstan so they are ready for business it seems.
2128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taxes on gambling send the right message? on: July 15, 2021, 01:46:33 PM
I definitely agree. I may not call it a false morality, though. In the first place, the state is not saying gambling is now better because it gives more revenue. It is simply implementing a mechanism which will hopefully curb the proliferation of gambling. It simply tries to discourage gambling.

However, I will also question its effectivity. In the end, increasing gambling taxes would only widen the gap between the privileged and the poor. Gambling does not transform into a good thing. It would only become a luxury which only the rich can afford. Is there something wrong with it? I guess it does not sound right to say, "only you can do this bad thing because you've got the money."

Not morality,,, this has been discussed many times before and it has very little to do with morals or ethics (because that means either you ban it  or not, and what kinds of rules you allow for them).

This is simply to recognize that gambling is an industry that brings in revenue,,, and that you must also tax it more because of the harm it does upon society. We all love gambling here but the sad part is that a lot of people get addicted to it.
2129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 15, 2021, 01:11:44 PM
I believe the simple reason was Donnarumma was available on a free transfer, and at his age he can give PSG 10 - 15 year’s of football before they need to find a new keeper, and that’s a wise investment. Furthermore to elaborate his transfer value could easily be $50 - $60 million, hence even if they sell him later on they’ll get amazing returns on this deal hence a wise move in my opinion.

I think this is the most likely option too. IIRC even 2 years ago when United were looking for a replacement for deGea, they were also looking at this guy but his price was still too high at the time. It is all about long term cost for a goalie and I feel like this was simple math for PSG who want to refresh the squad.
2130  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 2,371 people abducted in Nigeria in first half of 2021 on: July 15, 2021, 11:46:38 AM
What is really important to note here is that this happenings in Nigeria are NOT because Bitcoin was available. Again this is a convenient ignoring of the root cause of problems, and existing threats.

Just like Israel says Bitcoin is helping Hamas. All these groups existed before and thanks to evils in the past of the government oppressing people,,, and now Bitcoin the evil? This distracts from the real picture.
2131  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Uniswap Token Price Prediction on: July 15, 2021, 11:14:40 AM
UNI has already had many attacks, for now in the short term the bears seem to be in control, the most bearish they expect to lower the price to at least 13USD, but following how the market is going, everything depends on BTC, if BTC falls if it is likely to happen Meanwhile, the bulls are buying the dip and trying to maintain acceptable levels of precision so that it does not fall precipitously:

I guess this is the same condition we are observing now in almost every sector, NFT, DEfi, even traditional crypto and even stablecoin lending demand.

I think we are seeing now just a long period of fear from speculators. Let them all sell,,, let them exit crypto and then we will see where we really are fundamentally.
2132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Suggestions for Long-Term Investment on: July 15, 2021, 09:57:26 AM
Bitcoin is the mainstream currency among cryptocurrencies and has a long development time. Its scarcity will make it have great potential for appreciation.
Eth is also a relatively stable and potential currency. It has introduced smart contract technology and is widely used.

Remember,,, scarcity is a great concept but it is actually the deflationary nature of Bitcoin combined with perceived scarcity that makes it work. I think if you look at the majority of altcoins in this space almost all of them are "scarce" but almost all of them have no deflationary measure.

Scarcity alone is not what to look for. Tokens are not scarce:) This is just the "illussion".
2133  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you aren't reading you shouldn't be trading on: July 15, 2021, 09:31:19 AM
...News like central banks decisions and financial crashes do not seem to hit crypto until after a while.

After the decision of the Chinese government to ban mining and cryptocurrency was made public, the market immediately reacted to it by lowering the price. This suggests that any news, positive or negative, affects the price of the cryptocurrency and you can expect a pump or dump accordingly.

No, the market does not work that way my friend:) If more people sell than buy,,, this is when the market goes down, and the opposite is true.

China ban moved the industry OUT, that is all. Once the miners set up elsewhere, and the Chinese government realizes all the income they have lost from possible tax revenue and electricity charges, then they might change their mind.
2134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds on Ballon D'or on: July 15, 2021, 09:00:38 AM
several names that may deserve to win the Ballon d'Or this year, but it is clear that Lionel Messi has many advantages to get the Ballon d'Or again and I will also bet if Lionel Messi will be the winner later.
Maybe because the ballon d'or happens only once a year, so that's the reason the betting market doesn't use it as a place for betting, because of course gamblers will prefer the type of bet that can indeed be done every day or week such as betting on sports or other games.

Indeed. I am not a fan and I was hoping England won the EURO then maybe Harry Kane even could have a shot but at the moment it is really just Messi who looks the part. He is the only one who has won something big for his country, can also count his contribution at club but he was involved in every single goal in Copa,,, except the last one that won the final!
2135  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] 🚀 MOGUL STARS PROMOTIONS 🚀 | THE FUTURE OF FILM INDUSTRY on: July 15, 2021, 07:59:01 AM
We will see if they can attract traders here in LA Token. I am hoping that they can list this token to a higher tier exchange. Anyway, let's see if they can boost the trading volume here. Also, they need to achieve at least half the price of their ATH, as they are just starting in this industry. I have high hopes on this project because of the backing and partnerships that I am seeing here.

Not to be a party pooper but I thought LA Token was a proven scam already? This was even in 2019 research from one of the partners at Cointelligence IIRC,,, that the representatives of LA Token were found to be scamming and faking volume. I would stay away from an exchange with their bad reputation. Even if you see a boost on this platform you cannot be sure it is real (or rather, you can be sure it is fake).

2137  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Look for exchanges that don't accept kyc on: July 15, 2021, 05:58:09 AM
I think I agree with jackg that you should stick to the totally non-kyc sites like Uniswap but the problem is their lack of fiat offramp. So you can trade crypto all you want without restrictions but you sooner or later have to find a way to sell it for fiat.

Which makes Binance and Bittrex currently also not the best for me, as both have 2 and 1 BTC daily limit without requiring KYC BUT as jackg points out also only for crypto. As soon as you want fiat option you must KYC.

So you are left with Bisq but you probably have to make offers,,,
2138  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportsbet.io - Main sponsor of Southampton FC on: July 15, 2021, 05:22:10 AM
@examplens, yeah I thought so at first but as the others have pointed out, the logo is no longer on our website when we log in (but the others are still there). Hope to hear some news about this just so we know all about it:)

I just noticed the title of the thread has changed, Is sportsbet.io no longer sponsoring Arsenal FC?

They were never main sponsor of Arsenal,,, only a official gambling partner, whereas for Southampton they are the main shirt sponsor (which I believe usually means the biggest deal of them all.

Correct me if wrong:)
2139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NFT blockchain on: July 14, 2021, 03:52:35 PM
Best advice now is to keep your daughters creating art, as much as possible, and then also think about how they want to digitalize them.

Do they want to sell entire pieces of art? Create unique pieces that have multiple pieces to have different NFTs combine?

Then when you are ready, go look for the NFT communities for artists.

Expect to be disappointed unless you find a niche people love however:)
2140  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ILO] Flame (XFL): Disrupting The Adult Creator Economy on: July 14, 2021, 03:11:41 PM
Serious question: Are you guys looking for further collaboration? Nice ambassadors you have there but how do we reach you if we have ideas to propose? Adult industry is quite "big" as we all know and I myself I am fine with it and happen to know amateurs doing their own thing underground.

Is NFT part of your deal? Surprised not to see it here:)
