Carlos L,
I did not set a time limit on this contest, so you can call me a scammer all you want, but your accusations are baseless. How about you go bother someone else?
I'm having personal medical issues and just went to the doctor yesterday. I am supposed to receive the blood test results today and find out more about what's going on. How about you have a little respect for that and leave me alone. Quit calling me scammer all over the place, all it makes me want to do is take longer to make my decision to piss you off.
Again, I have not broken any rules of the contest as there was no time limit.
Whatever...
Ch
PS: Which one of your sock puppets submitted a design Carlos L??

I don't like Nov. 22nd either.
It is too soon, something like this would need some planning and time to get an ample amount of merchants to participate.

Cointerra doesn't understand economics of Bicoin mining. That was apparent when they came out with the Terraminer for December delivery priced at $14,000. Granted, they brought down the price a little bit after they realized no one would buy it for that price. They were still overpriced at 12.5k.
The fact that they only have the February shipping date Terraminer for sale right now is not a good sign. It seems like maybe that's the earliest they think they could ship. They are already a month behind schedule on tape out. It's not looking good. I'm glad I passed on Cointerra.

Hi Crazy_Rabbit,
It was nice meeting you at Bitcoin 2013.
Might I suggest you give her nothing or only a little bit so she has some skin in the game. It raises a red flag to me that she asked about what you were going to do with YOUR bitcoins after you guys get married.
I am a landman and I figure out ownership of mineral rights under property for oil & gas wells. I am very well versed in the laws surrounding community property. First of all, what state do you live in? Community property laws vary from state to state. It is likely that after you are married, any income you make she is entitled to 50% of it. However, it seems your Bitcoin stash was acquired well before marriage, so these coins are yours and only yours to decide what to do with them.
As stated earlier in this thread, no matter how much you love this girl and think she's so awesome, a large percentage of marriages fail. You should be apprehensive to hand much of your money over to her. Certainly you should not give her access to 100% of you Bitcoin savings. Any amount that you give her access to could be litigated as community property, even though you acquired them before marriage. Meaning... if you give her access to 100% of your Bitcoins, expect her to take half if you happen to get divorced.
Again, I suggest you give her a small amount so she has some skin in the game and can appreciate the ebbs and flows of the Bitcoin price fluctuations, and get her more involved with something you are clearly passionate about. I think it is important for significant others to share in hobbies, as it only brings people closer together. Just don't go over board with it man, be smart. I know you think you'll never get divorced, but shit happens.
Take care,
Ch

This is a good OP, thanks.
Although I don't have any BE's anymore, I know how much of a PITA getting many block erupters to work at once can be. The most I ran was about 84 on one computer using 4 chains of 2-3 hubs each. When I linked all hubs together through one port in the Mobo, I got a lot of problems. Splitting them up into multiple chains seemed to help a lot.

Wow you're back after so long!! wb I'm still interested in at least 2 or 3 of your coins Hi, thanks miffman. Yes, I have been pretty much absent from the forums minus the past week. I have been having some medical problems, I actually just got back from the doctor and am having some blood work done. Hopefully I can figure out what's going on and get back to feeling better soon. I'm glad someone's interested. I apologize for taking so long getting these to market, but the finish line is closer than ever now. Cheers, Ch

This is the way it is always going to be. If you go to the store and something is cheaper than it was yesterday when you bought it, do you throw a hissy fit? I can understand being pissed for not getting your stuff yet, but not complaining about dropping prices. They should stop selling stuff because you want some time before the price drops? Are all the other sellers going to take a break as well? If you have expectations of profit or fairness you are in the wrong game.
I understand your point of view, and I knew there would be at least several responses along these lines. "If you go to the store and something is cheaper than it was yesterday when you bought it, do you throw a hissy fit?" When I go to the store here to buy something, it is not a money making machine. I don't see how your example here relates, as buying a TV and buying a Bitcoin miner are two very different purchases for very different purposes. "I can understand being pissed for not getting your stuff yet" Yes, this is my main grievance. "but not complaining about dropping prices. They should stop selling stuff because you want some time before the price drops?" The problem is that I will not get ANY time... not even "some time" to mine before the price drops. He is talking about lowering the price and I haven't received anything yet. "Are all the other sellers going to take a break as well?" - Obviously not, but each manufacturer should try to make it right by their previous customers, otherwise they will not be in business very long. Although this community is growing rapidly, it is still a small community and only so many bitcoin miners looking to purchase equipment. Especially after so many have been burned by previous manufacturers. "If you have expectations of profit or fairness you are in the wrong game." I'm pretty sure that's why 99% of the people that buy mining equipment are looking for. The problem is, I just want to break even at this point. My expectations of profit went out the window when my Batch 3 Avalons only gained back 50% of their ROI to date (we have lost about 361 BTC up to this point.) All I want is to break even on my bitfury purchase, is that so much to ask?

I'd appreciate it if you'd ship my miners that were supposed to be delivered in October before lowering your prices. So I pay $8000 and get my rig this week/next week. Someone else pays say.. $4000 tomorrow and received their rig just a week later than me? Can you not see how anyone would have an issue with this?
I understand you need to lower your prices, but it is like a slap in the face to October orders that have not been delivered yet. Can $8000 October rig buyers switch their orders for later delivery and get store credit or something?

Any updates? I'm still waiting on two October orders.

Got a bunch of new never seen features I'm going to announce for eMunie in the next day or so, they've been through beta testing already and will be included in the launch. I'll give you a heads up when I post about them if you like Sure, sounds good. I'm excited to see what you came up with!

I'm glad to see others interested in innovative ALTs as well. This thread has pretty much been me talking to myself it feels like. I will continue to update it as long as someone finds it useful though. Feel free to contribute if you like, perhaps if you write a short description of the coin you suggest to give me a head start on adding it to the OP. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll make sure to look into them all.

Is picture 4 an example of the wrong angle as they look like the chocolates that should be inside of the coinz ??
I reckon u should talk to whoever did those holos as that does not look right
You can tell by the writing on the paper that picture is extremely unfocused, which causes them to look even worse. If you look at it at the wrong angle, they do look similar to that.. IE. not much if any color, hard to see the design. If you read my post above, I say I am not happy with the quality. However, it is what it is... it is a "you get what you paid for" type of thing. If people really really really really don't like the holograms, perhaps I will order new ones from a better manufacturer. However, I have spent enough on this project for now and I need to recoup some of my losses or I am not doing anything further than what what I've already done. I will be making a more quality version if I can at least make my money back on these. I did this for the good of the community of Litecoin and to provide cheap physical Litecoins, but I am not going to continue doing it if I am in the red. I am not that rich to blow thousands of dollars like that. Also, I don't think it's fair though to compare a $1.49 physical cryptocoin to a $100 physical cryptocoin. I know a lot of you are going to say this doesn't look as good as Casascius' coin or Lelanas. However, they are also are also about $90+ more expensive.

Nxt :: descendant of Bitcoin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=303898.0Nxt uses brand new software, it’s not a fork of Bitcoin source code. Nxt improves different features of Bitcoin, removes some disadvantages (e.g. bloated blockchain) and resolves a big environmental issue. Mining is 100% proof-of-stake, Coins are earned solely by charging transaction fees. Time between blocks is one minute. Also the colored coin feature for decentralized security exchange purpose will be natively coded and available in Nxt from the day one! It has the plan to be launched at the 5th anniversary birthday of bitcoin in upcoming January. PS: just here to introduce another, as I did it for other interesting new altcoins in progress before. Use your own brain to decide whether to participate or not. Thanks for the heads up. I agree Nxt seems like an ambitious ALT coin project, definitely innovative. I will add it to the list when I have time.

Sorry I haven't posted in a while... I have been pretty busy and going through some personal issues, so I haven't had much time to work on this. Let me bring you guys up to speed and tell you the full story thus far in one post. As always, I am brutally honest on these forums and I will continue that trend in this post. Sorry for the wall of text... I am good at making those! My inspiration for the project: I do not own any physical cryptocoins and never have, although I always thought they were a really neat idea (good job Casascius!) However, I have come to the conclusion that they are all extremely overpriced. I think they are charging a large mark up. Either that, or their manufacturers are really ripping them off and they did not shop around... I think this is unlikely. So, I aim to bring much cheaper physical cryptocoins to market that will satisfy the need for cheaper coins. Physical cryptocoins are a great way to spread the word about cryptocoins. My hope is that by making them cheaper, people will be more willing to give them to friends and family and introduce new people to cryptocoins! Current status of the project: I have received the coins and holograms and I am working on finishing the website to facilitate orders. As soon as the website is done, you will be able to place orders for immediate shipping. I expect this to be done either this week or next week. Please bear with me, I do not have money for a web developer so I am doing it myself in what little free time I have available and it may take longer than stated here. Design changes: I have decided NOT to sell pre-loaded (funded) coins unlike most other physical cryptocoin companies. I simply do not have the time and also do not want the legal liability. It has recently been shown that physical cryptocoin are not as tamper evident as we all thought (Google Defcon Casascius.) It seems pointless to me sell funded coins because there is no way to tell if someone has tampered with the hologram (or very little evidence.) Along with this, I feel I simply do not have the time to assemble hundreds of coins. I am pretty busy and have several things going on at once. Therefore, all coins will come unfunded and with two holograms, so the customer will assemble them themselves. Each coin comes with two holograms, because it can be easy to disrupt the tamper evident properties of the hologram when placing it on the coin. Transfer tape is a necessity to remove the hologram from its wax paper and putting it onto the coin without disrupting the tamper evident properties. Again, using your finger, finger nail, or anything other than transfer tape to place the hologram will make the tamper evident properties noticeable after hologram placement. I had a friend (shout out to msm595) port the Casascius Bitcoin Utility to Litecoin (thanks again Casascius!) This is what customers are recommended to use to print coin inserts. It is a very straightforward process, and will be explained in detail on our website. The program will be open sourced, so the code can be reviewed by the community to make sure that there are no security issues or back doors in the program. Bad news: The quality of the holograms is not what I was expecting. At certain angles, they look brilliant. However, at certain angles you can hardly see the hologram design. However, the quality is not what people are used to seeing from other physical cryptocoins. Another reason why my first coins are not as nice to currently available physical cryptocoins is that I did not have enough money to make coins out of more quality materials and by more quality manufacturing techniques. If these coins sell well, I promise to spend more money in the future when making my products and searching for the best quality possible. I am confident in my ability to make higher quality coins for MUCH cheaper than the competitors. Unfortunately, if these cheaper coins do not sell well, I will have already wasted more money than I am comfortable with, and will not be making higher quality coins. I hate to leave it open ended like that, but it is what it is. I am not rich and cannot afford to blow thousands of dollars. Good news: People have been asking me forever... "What is the price?" Well, today I can finally answer that, since I now have the final numbers of the manufacturing costs. As stated before the point of this project was to make an affordable physical cryptocoin. I have done just that, my coins will retail for $1.49 USD!!! This includes a coin and two holograms. Coins will be assembled by the customer, so no need to trust me. Pictures: And finally, I apologize for the low res camera photos. But, they serve their purpose to illustrate everything I have talked about in this post and to see what the coins and holograms look like from multiple angles. Again... the holograms look great from some angles, but not so great from other angles. I'll let you be the judge, please tell me your honest opinion. (Please excuse the mess up on the last two images.. I accidentally enabled both cameras and part of my face/hair is in the last two pictures... just noticed that when typing this. Oh well.... http://imgur.com/a/MGjCX

You can play Rift for free. I think that would be better than paying monthly for WoW, even if Rift is slightly worse than WoW.
Rift is actually a pretty quality game. I've played most MMORPGs and it ranks up there with the best. I am pretty surprised it is now free... I saw that the other day while logging into steam. It was only released what.. about 2 years ago. Fake edit after more research: it seems they are trying to monetize the game in a different way, like league of legends or heroes of newarth. You can download and play the game for free, but you may also buy upgrades, items, abilities, perks, etc.. http://www.riftgame.com/en/store/
