2161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH the King of Altcoins ? on: March 18, 2023, 07:12:18 AM

There is no doubt that Bitcoin is the King of cryptocurrencies. If we only focus on altcoins, ETH is the most successful smart contract platform that owns the largest base of fans compared to other altcoins. The current market cap of Ethereum is over $200 Billions and the this will be more likely to increase in the long term. Can ETH be considered as the King of Altcoins ? What do you think ? Please let me know.
If you look at the reports of some economists and analysts, they say that asset tokenization will be popular in the future. More than 100 billion stablecoins are currently tokenized on the Ethereum blockchain, but stocks and other financial instruments will be added over time. The prospect of this ecosystem is huge.
2162  Local / Альтернативные криптовалюты / Re: DeFi - "Атаки" и Безопасность on: March 18, 2023, 06:59:28 AM

Euler Finance Deployer."

90 Smiley
2163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi hacks [history] on: March 18, 2023, 06:42:55 AM
For anyone who gets affected by the #Euler hack, watch this:
Someone(0x2a) sends a message to the hacker saying his life-saving (78 $ETH) is in @eulerfinance
The hacker then sends him 100 $ETH.
If 0x2a is being honest, it made extra 22 $ETH back.
https://twitter.com/ScopeProtocol/status/1636215381126938624?
Ironically that person who got back 100eth instead of 78 is a criminal If he/she spends a dime from that that extra eth.

Weirdly i wouldn't even know where should it be returned. I might ask consultation from police

There is an error in the tweet, the 0x2Af wallet returned the excess 12 ETH to the project treasury and wrote about it on the blockchain. The police won't ask him questions.

"I was affected by the recent Euler Finance hack and fortunately, I received back 100 ETH from the hacker, which is 12 ETH more than my original deposit of ~78 wstETH. With this transaction, I'm returning the extra 12 ETH that doesn't belong to me to the Euler Finance Deployer."

___
I just don't understand why 0x2Af returned 12 ETH. 78+12 =90 not 100, it should return 22 ETH.
Or 78 wstETH = 88 ETH

What are your thoughts? Let's discuss!

look at this project
[ANN] Mahraba(MRHB) - Sharia concept DeFi
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5386468
No need to mix religion and business. If you are a religious person, then you must first acquire certain knowledge, and then go into business so that business does not contradict your religion. Sharia law does not prohibit cryptocurrencies now, but not all projects are allowed. There are a lot of good options for investments now, so I'm not very interested in religious projects

A good way to get your coins back is by chatting with a hacker on the blockchain:

This message was in the transaction signature:
"Please consider returning 90%/80%. I'm just a user that only had 78 wstETH as my life savings deposited into Euler, I'm not whale or millionaire. You can't imagine the mess I'm into right now, completely destroyed. I'm pretty sure 20M is already life changing for you and you'll bring back joy to a lot of affected people."

2166  Economy / Economics / Re: Rules of Taxes on: March 17, 2023, 08:48:08 AM
I think generally if you don't report your income then you are breaking the law. That is "tax evasion. Tax evasion is when you do not report all or some of your income. I don't know how it works in your country but people who do not report their income are committing an illegal act and can be prosecuted. There are ways to reduce your tax legally and that is tax avoidance.
Any way to reduce tax legally tends to be like breaking the law. Therefore, someone said a very good opinion: "You need to pay taxes, but at the same time do not feel like an idiot" (C)
For example, in Russia, if I want to officially pay an employee $1,000, then I have to pay him $1,140. I have to take 140 dollars as income tax (13%) and I also have to pay +36% of 1140 dollars of various social taxes. In total, an employer pays $550 in taxes for $1,000 of an official salary, which is why there are a lot of shadow wages in Russia. 200 officially, the rest is not declared.
2167  Economy / Economics / Re: How will Fed bailing out banks increase inflation? on: March 17, 2023, 08:37:18 AM
The Fed is in the business of pumping air into leaky balloons. Banks lead a very risky policy and invest in various cryptocurrency projects. When the market falls, the banks suffer losses. There has already been rhetoric about banning banks from investing in cryptocurrency projects. Perhaps this is a new reason to increase regulation of banks.
2168  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Cryptocurrency Law in Brazil on: March 17, 2023, 08:30:22 AM
I think that bitcoin has become famous and is traded on major world exchanges, because influential people in the world have joined this process. There is the original Ethereum, which we call Ethereum Classic, but we see that the coin is not popular. I also have litecoin and I like this coin more because of faster and cheaper transactions.

2170  Other / Archival / Re: Sinbad.io Mixer - secure, fast and easy to use on: March 16, 2023, 07:45:14 PM
Criminals be advised, it is time to pack your money laundry stuff and hit the road, the "good guys" are on to you.
As the recent events have revealed, even a service such as chipmonks (aka, chipmixer) kept all the logs on everything and they were dishonest about it, not that surprising though because when you are a criminal lying is rewarding.

Now I'm not saying you guys keep logs and can track every move of your clients, but nothing is stopping you from keeping logs, so the smart move is to avoid such services.
I think that users who use centralized mixers are aware of this. If the owner of the mixer is caught and does not cooperate with the special services, then he will be in prison for life. If the owner of the mixer cooperates with the special services and hands over the logs of operations, then he can spend 5-10 years in prison. Therefore, after the mixer, at least exchange bitcoins for monero, and then exchange them again for bitcoins in various services.

Grin

2173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of play to earn games on: March 16, 2023, 12:09:54 PM
What do you think about play to earn blockchain games? Do you think that video game players will one day abandon Sony and Microsoft companies for play to earn games or Microsoft and Sony will one day be forced to allow play to earn games to run on their gaming devices?
Large companies that earn hundreds of millions of dollars from computer games are in no hurry to add cryptocurrencies to their business. Their centralized system perfectly allows you to control all processes. play to earn games resemble a financial pyramid model, when old participants earn from the influx of investments from new participants. And when the influx of new members ends, problems begin.
2174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High gas fee for sending token is still a problem on: March 16, 2023, 12:04:37 PM
I have more interest in altcoins than bitcoin because they give more ROI, but we are not in a bull market yet and Ethereum gas fee keeps surging since yesterday, it is fair if you are sending ETH from a wallet to another but the real deal is when you plan to send tokens from a wallet to another, the gas is high and this makes me wonder what will happen in a bull market, because most of my tokens are on Erc-20 chain, what is a good way to be prepared for this?
I sent stablecoins yesterday in the ethereum ecosystem and paid fees of 5-7 dollars.
If you have 10 tokens worth $10 for each position, then you are in trouble. With a price increase of 5 times, commissions can cost 30-50 dollars. If you have 10 tokens at $1,000 per position, then if the price increases by 5 times, the $50 fee will not ruin you, and this is a very cheap fee for decentralized storage.

https://www.coindesk.com/policy/2023/03/15/uk-adds-crypto-declaration-in-tax-forms/
U.K. taxpayers will have to separately report crypto assets on their tax forms in a move that is expected to raise an extra 10 million British pounds (US$12 million) per year for the public purse.
The move was announced by Chancellor of the Exchequer Jeremy Hunt in the annual budget on Wednesday.
“The government is introducing changes to the Self Assessment tax return forms requiring amounts in respect of cryptoassets to be identified separately,” to be introduced in the tax year that ends in April 2025, the U.K. Treasury said in a document published Wednesday.

2177  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Cryptocurrency Law in Brazil on: March 16, 2023, 11:38:07 AM

I also consider bitcoin a reliable asset, but without stablecoins, the entire crypto market will be dead.

It is true that stable coins are crucial component of crypto market & play an important role, but it is inaccurate to say that entire crypto market will be dead without stable coins. Bitcoin can still function without stable coins as a store of value and means of exchange. In fact, stable coins are relatively recent addition to crypto ecosystem, and the market existed and thrived without them for years.
USDT appeared at the end of 2015. Before that, I traded on crypto exchanges. It was a very good time, there were no regulations and blocking, there was no know your client procedure, but there was a problem when exchanging for fiat, because the price of the cryptocurrency was changing. After the introduction of stablecoins, it became much more convenient.

If you are trying to justify an investment case for ethereum, other related shitcoins and/or stable coins based on the tail rather than the dog, then you are likely going to come to erroneous conclusions in regards to whether the dog is wagging the tail or the tail is wagging the dog.

I am not suggesting that you cannot make money on ethereum, other related shitcoins and/or stable coins, and surely they are lacking in a lot of the resiliency qualities that bitcoin has - and surely, it is possible that some of that crap might be able to partner with governments (maybe in this case Brazil is going down the shitcoin (rather than bitcoin) road) and financial institutions and continue in the various ways that traditional institutions have been scamming normies.. including a lot of the weaknesses of unsound scammy debt practices - and in the whole scheme of things, I will stand by my point that bitcoin is the dog (not the tail), bitcoin is the innovation.. (and stable coins that are built upon or through bitcoin are more likely to have soundness in their value), and surely you may well end up getting wrecked when you are losing focus upon where the value is at - even if the convoluted bullshit that surrounds ethereum and other scams could well last for as much time as you need (20 to 50 years.. even if you have no way of knowing when the rug is going to get pulled or the card house of those scams is going to fall) in order for you to do sufficiently well financially from them.. in spite of the various uncertainties, centralization issues and their lack of resiliencies, as compared (contrasted to) the ways that bitcoin is designed.. and surely any coins or projects that attempt to link themselves to bitcoin or to peg upon bitcoin, or collateralize with bitcoin are likely going to do better (and more sound investments) as compared with various convoluted shitcoin projects that are built upon the top of the ethereum (affinity scam) smoke and mirror house of cards.
I have bitcoin, but I invest in other coins as well, so I have to take risks. In my case, I risk only a part of the money already earned. My risk management does not allow me to keep all investments in bitcoin only. Bitcoin is a dog, not a tail, but there is always a risk that the masters of the world's finances will want to kill the dog.
2178  Local / Новички / Re: Обналичить криптовалюту - где on: March 16, 2023, 11:03:53 AM

I don't think you will be selling your tokens for 40 times less, but I have said many times that investments in shitcoins should have good risk management. Some projects will close or be hacked, the price of some project tokens will not increase. And if several projects give a good profit, then you will eventually earn.
Losses from hacking are small, it is likely that the project team will solve the problem.
