I actually got the opposite in both of those games.  I like 3 games tonight all home teams:

Knicks -7.5
Rockets +2
Heat -3.5

Think the Knicks blow out the young magic team here.  Knicks will feast on the lower teams but struggle against good ones.  Can see this being a 15 point type win tonight.
Good one! Congratulations. I may have been emotional there, that's why I lost all my bets.

The exhaustion in the Jazz team is too obvious, they are slower, and their energy is not the same as in their first 3 games. I really thought their young bodies could carry it but I guess it doesn't work that way. This is a good lesson in betting at back-to-back games.
2 days rest, and then they will be up against the Rockets again. Maybe we will witness a different ending on that day.

Yeah back to backs are nothing to mess with in betting.  The coach tends to give players a little more down time so it's more second squad doing the heavy lifting.  Now for today's games:

I like okc getting +8 at home vs the Clippers
And....gimme the Suns giving -1.5 points at home to golden state.  Should be a great game, gimme the home team here.

Good luck everyone tonight!

Pretty comfy night watching basketball no last second drama.  Okc giving 8 points win outright and the Suns blew out gs from the third quarter on.

Tomorrow night I'm eyeing the Knicks at home -8 against the Hornets.  Can see another 15 point type win.  Need a little research first.

Anyone else watching this Suns golden state game.  For game 4 of the year its super chippy.  Klay and Booker were talking shit all quarter to each other and klay finally got chucked.  I know it's insanely too early but if this is what it's gonna be lime I need to see a 7 game series with these teams.

I am. Klay was having an off night and ended with 2 points. Booker seems like he likes to rub it in whenever that sort of thing happens. I can’t imagine the Suns are going to enjoy their next meeting. It looks like Golden State might be throwing in the towel now. I wouldn’t be surprised if they met up in the playoffs.

No Zion and no Ingram but the Pelicans still pulled out a win against the Mavericks. The Pelicans are going to be good…

Yeah pels are deep.  Book has it going this game and don't blame him got under klays skin.  It was a tight game until klay got booted then the Suns blew it open.  Smart move honestly.  Can't wait for the next one.  Don't know if there will be a more fun matchup to watch than these 2 squaring up.  Memphis mid year shoukd be a good one too.  This game didn't feel like an October game.  Seasons gonna be good.

I know no one really cares about the Colts and neither do I but I find this bit very amusing as an indication of how much Matt Ryan sucks:
...
Speaking of sucky QBs

Funny you should mention it. A couple weeks ago I was reading that Matt Ryan's nickname is (used to be) "the iceman" for his ability to remain cool under pressure. Now that this is no longer true, I proposed in my other league that his new nickname be "Ol' Sucky". He is #7 in all-time passing yards, which is no easy feat, but still... this year was the closest he's come to having a winning season since 2017  Cry

Would be sad if his career ended on this kind of note. Here's to Ol' Sucky.

I was never a Ryan (matty) fan and frankly don't know what anyone has seen in him all these years.

I'd take Foles over him all day if I was the coach.

Speaking of X-Jet QB's it seems The Other Ryan (Rex) has been proven beyond an doubt to have been the Jets downfall for the last decade.

Prime Matty versus prime files I'd take Ryan.  That season they went to the superbowl he was great.  His tes always sucked.  The falcons never put a team around him.  He just ran into a Brady buzz saw that year.  Still pissed off at that superbowl losing some sheckles to Brady 🤨

Hi Everyone

When it comes to pump and dumps, for people with small amount of money is it best to look for coin/token that have 0 volume? also the order book is mostly buyer or sellers?

How do you find the perfect coin/token to perform a pump and dump? what your criteria?

Cheers
Andrew

Why are you looking into this is the first thing you need to ask yourself.  These types of projects or actions only harm the overall crypto movement.  They leave people in ruins, and is only beneficial to a few people while the masses lose.

Why not just put your money into a real project with real direction?  Doesn't that make much more sense?

It will just be gamed liked anything else and then become a useless toy that is never used for anything meaningful.  Incentivizing something like voting will not get any better results, just more bots doing the work.  How would you defend against that?

Honestly did not expected Lakers to start this bad. I get the warriors loss, but this latest Portland loss is a big bells are ringing type of deal. They were not ready for the season? Did they not really worked hard on figuring out how they could get better?

It's obvious that they were bad last year, you can't just roll the dice again and hope for a better result, they needed to change some things, even if not in the roster (which they have a bit) but also with the plays. Look at Spurs, they have one of the worst teams in the league and yet they started 2-1, one of the wins coming from Sixers. That's the difference between a good coach and a bad coach.

I mean what was really expected.  They haven't changed from last year.  They lack a true point guard.  I know you have lebron but you need someone that can set the table for everyone including Bron.  And their bench depth is terrible.  I expect vet injuries which will only deepen the losses.  This team is looking at easily under .500 and missing the playoffs again.  It will be the lebron scoring title and passing Kareem this year and that's about it.

I'm starting to change my mind on them there Giants, how did they do it?

Quote
Following the conclusion of the 2021 season, head coach Joe Judge was fired and general manager Dave Gettleman retired. In the offseason, the Giants hired Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll to become the 22nd head coach in franchise history and Bills front office assistant Joe Schoen to become general manager.

Is this all it took?

It's a big part of it yeah.  Daboll is a semi God like figure for giant fans already lol.  Honestly a huge part of it is the Def coordinator wink's system.  They have the right guys and theor defense has come up huge in big spots this year so far.  Offense isn't killing games either.  Jones has kept the turnovers to a minimum which helps keep other offenses on short field situations.

I dont rember if i sold this outright or if it was a prize (pretty sure it was a prize from my series 2 collection). I will have to check its been so many years since I did one of them!

Either way yes me and bg4 got together in person and signed these together and sealed them on site.  I had a couple and he kept a couple I believe.  Unsure how many we did but it wasn't many at all.  Less than 10 if I had to guess.

8 games today guys, share your picks.  Wink

I want the Jazz to keep the streak so I am betting for them. Jazz -3.5 vs Houston Rockets
They may be tired from a back-to-back game but they are a young team so I think they can manage somehow.

One more bet for a young team Orlando Magic +7.5 vs the New York Knicks.
It's their 3rd losing streak, they might be itching to make that one win, if not, keep the game close and I might cover the spread.

@DireWolfM14, @wheelz. You have very good insights and understanding of the NFL. Would it be possible if the 2 of you can share your thoughts and what might be your predictions on some of the games for week 7heheheeh.

Giants prediction was correct, thought on Greenbay Packers also correct! On the Giants I would agree because they have only 1 loss for the season and they play against the Jaguars. However, I was shaking my head on the prediction on Greenbay. I thought if Greenbay loses, it would certainly be not against the Commanders.

I couldn't believe that a Taylor Heineke led team beat an aaron Rodgers led team.  I think it is what it is at this point, the packers are just an OK team.  They are bottom of the league team without Rodgers but I think the rest of the skill positions just can't be carried by Rodgers alone.  That was a shocker.

And hey ho...how but them 6-1 GIANTS!
2193  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 24, 2022, 05:26:46 PM
Ja Morant dropped 49 points in their game against the Rockets! Jalen Green also did great and there's no other front-runner on this team despite being one year with the team, his contribution is enormous, and not surprised that he's got the second pick for round 1 last year.
Those that haven't watched some games of Ja should start watching him. Although he's got some bitter statements last time against MJ, this boy got really has something to show aside just from being athletic.
He already proved himself last season, he will be a hall of famer, I'm hoping that he will stay healthy so injury will not kill his career. That game we've seen how athletic he is, it's fun to watch the Memphis with him due to lots of highlights. Also, great job by Jalen Green, there's no superstar in the team but he is playing hard, so soon we might see him leading this team.
That's the deterrent for most of these stars including him, having an injury. We saw it happen in many of them and how they're able to get back hard after their recovery. These two got no superstars but doing great jobs on their respective teams.
Ja morant is a good player I am not against that, but people are overreacting on his good moves, and yes he is scoring a lot of points and he is playing well but that's a game that could be locked down easily with some good defense, a bit of zone on inside, some one step behind defending and you could lock him down on playoff games.

He needs to learn how to shoot threes a lot better to be a danger, nobody can defend Lebron like that, because even though he is a freight train when he wants to go in, and even at his age he dunks over people, he could also still kill you inside if he leave him open. Ja doesn't have that yet, and he needs to improve it asap if he wants to be a superstar.

He is one of the most unguardable players on the court no matter who is on the court.  Is his game perfect, no but he is young.  As far as him needing something to become a superstar that's not the case.  Dude is likely the best one on the court in most games...he IS a superstar.  He would shred zone defenses just as much as he would man to man.
2194  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC Ever Reach $100k? on: October 22, 2022, 03:50:40 PM
Arguably, the most significant driver of Bitcoin value is its future price speculation. There have been several speculations of BTC price by top crypto influencers, while some have come to pass but it appears that the 100k price milestone appears elusive.

The $60k prediction came to pass but BTC has since lost more than 65% of its ATH price.

Do you think that BTC will ever rise to and above 100k in the near future? Wil it be before or after the next Bitcoin halving or this price would never come?

What's your opinion?

Honestly it's not if but rather when at this point.  Every cycle the highers have been much higher.  I'd say the next high we see around $200k or so.  This market might take awhile to get going so if I had to guess it will be after, if not we'll after, the next halving.

I haven't heard any good news about privacy coins this days, it seems that people are losing interest in privacy coins because of regulation? Also privacy coins have bad performance compared to other altcoins, what is going on? Can privacy coins survive on the long run?

They will survive but they aren't trendy.  Unfortunately this market is run by greed so people jump on what's trendy.  Masternode coins in 2017, meet coins in 2020/21, etc.  In the end they always die but boring coins end up sticking around.

Need some weight in help here.  Looking at tomorrow's games and I'm stuck on 3 away teams but that is never good.  Thoughts on the below bets

Packers -4.5 on road against Wash
Giants +3 on road against Jax
Houston +7 on road against LV.

Which one you guys think Def needs to stay and which one I should dump.  (I'm a Homer giants fan so I think that is definitely getting bet)

Was happy with the play of the Knicks last night.  Blow out pretty much all the way through.  The best part was the second unit looked real strong.  Was worried about their depth but they shoukd be getting back q grimes soon too.

Also watched end to end the den gs game.  Impressed with Denver grit.  Tough to take on gs in theor building, jokic is just unreal.  Think it will be a race between him and doncic for mvp this year.  Them dudes are just crazy good.
2198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: October 22, 2022, 03:34:57 PM
After witnessing plenty of games on the 2nd day of the season, tomorrow we will be limited with 2 games only.

Bucks vs 76ers -4
Clippers vs Lakers +5.5

I feel betting on the favorites would give me a win, so I'm leaning with the 76ers to bounce back from their previous game's loss and the Clippers to gave the Lakers their 2 losses in a row.

I like the Clippers -5.5 but not the 76ers -4 because Bucks is a decent team, if 76ers will win here, I think it will be a close game so there's a good chance that the Bucks will be able to cover the spread. I know they came from a lose against the Celtics, but that doesn't mean they'll win at home. Anyway, good luck to you bro.

I actually took the Bucks money line here at +145.  Think giannis fights for mvp again this year and honestly think they make it back to the Finals.  Should be a good game either way.

The late game with the Lakers is rough.  Giving the Clippers 5.5 points on theor opening night.  Lebron and AD gonna bring something special think I gotta ride the Lakers getting points here.

Enjoy the games and good luck people

Well the Bucks came through but dam that Lakers game hurt, they blew the spread in the last second on stupid play.  They had it covered the whole time.  Well I guess those are the breaks.

Lots of games tonight.

Laying on:

Knicks -7
Nets -2.5
Timberwolves -8.5

The Timberwolves I think is my lock of the night and laying hard on them.  Good luck everyone and enjoy the games!

Timberwolves surprised me.  Utah 2-0 after letting Rudy and Donovan go.  Maybe they were the issues! Lol.  Kidding aside very surprised by the play of Utah.

Last night was 2 for 3 so it ended up well.

Tonight's games I'm in on:

Grizzlies +6
Clippers -3

Both on the road and Memphis on the end of a back to back but 6 points is too much to give them.  Dallas is just okay.  Clippers are strong I thing too deep for the kings to handle and 3 points is comfy.

Good luck tonight everyone

Heck of a game for the Bulls to start off the season with such a big win over one of the NBA's best teams, the Miami Heat.  DeMar DeRozan had one hell of a game, and picked things up right where he left them off from last year...

I want Miami Heat to win but I didn't follow my earlier plan to bet on them. Chicago Bulls upgraded their line-up this season with Andre Drummond and Goran Dragic while Miami Heat lost P.J. Tucker. And I also expect Nikola Vucevic to bounce back strong this season after his numbers dropped down last season. It will be exciting how Chicago fares this season. Last season they were someone strong but they failed to win most of the time against the top teams. Now they have 2 new veterans and Dragic is very experienced in playoff games which is the most important of all games.

Yeah I guess I’d agree that the Chicago Bulls upgraded their roster a bit, but I don’t think they upgraded enough to make a big difference in terms of being able to legitimately compete for a championship. The Bulls biggest issues right now are of course number one far and away getting Ball healthy and number to getting Lavine healthy. Not sure what the heck is going on with Lavine now, but he’s missing yet again another game tonight. Not a great way to start the year.

Yeah those 2 are key to Chicago running.  When Chicago got lavine I wasn't high on the guy but he has turned out to be way better than I thought.  Dude can ball with anyone in the NBA.  And ball yeah, without your starting point guard it's hard to win consistently.  Can do it for a game or 2 but long term it's tough.  With that being said I think the bulls landed a good one with Ayo.  For a 2nd rounder he is paying off
2200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 21, 2022, 03:36:32 PM
The Clippers have to be one of the deepest teams in the league.  I was surprised with the play of John Wall.  Missed watching him play and he looks to be in form given its only the first week.  Same with leaonard.  Once these guys gets stretched to 30 minutes a game they are gonna be one of the toughest outs.  I hope they stay healthy, might lay a championship bet on them.
