It is one thing to copy Zcash, but the question is if you will be able to consistently and sustainably develop and enhance the coin. Or will the approach be to see what Zcash brings out and then copy the code in?

Do you have approval from the authorities for this? If not what will happen to the money you received if the authorities do not approve eg. there is a forest in the zone on the picture you posted.

Just remember that when there is an identified team that sells tokens for money it is two of the tests to determine if the token is a utility or security. Even if you call it a utility token, it might be considered a security token. Refer to the CRC website for more details if you want to make sure your utility token is a utility token. |

Good to see Waves price remaining stable despite the approval of the increase in rewards. I am still of the opinion though that it will not be good in the long term. Sasha will eventually be fined for issuing unregistered securities over Coinomat assets and WAVES ICO like EOS and SIA , but also securities fraud and theft for not completing the promised Coinomat asset swaps from 2016. Coinomat investors had their funds stolen, that is not the same as EOS and SIA investors who still have access to the assets they purchased.
Regarding the fines, it is just a slap on the wrist. These large ICOs will be able to pay the fines with their eyes closed. I dont think fines will have a big impact on these tokens. |

What is with the price of Swap token? Immediately after token went live on the exchange it dropped to half the IEO price. The only explanation for this is that someone that did not have to pay for the tokens dumped it. Can you please tell us which categories of people there are that would not have had to pay for the tokens?

I would like to make a suggestion that Waves be rated by the Crypto Rating Council. The CRC rates coins and tokens based on criteria and gives a score from 1 to 5 of how much it is a security. Obtaining a low score for Waves will assist to be listed on more USA exchanges. Link to the CRC website. |

This is a great way to reduce the amount of MRT in circulation. I understand that the chances of winning is dependent on how many tickets you purchase, but how much will one ticket cost. Will one ticket for example be one MRT? Will people that do not participate in the lottery lose their MRT after the second lottery on 13 Jan? |

Well, if I take those projects that want to make cards. MCO TENX TOKENCARD - with big money and a good team, they can’t issue their crypto cards normally. The whole problem is getting a license from Visa and Mastercard.

Big teams are not necessary good. They may just eat up investors' money pretending they try to do something useful. I think that one important thing is to have the right connections. Direct license from VISA/Mastercard may not be necessary. If one looks carefully, there are 3rd party financial services that are already allowed to issue cards. The only problem is that usually they are not allowed to issue anonymous cards and I doubt that this can be done good without breaking VISA/Mastercard policy. But I don't know all the subtle moves. No big player from the official fiat ecosystem will ever be involved in crypto in an anonymous way. There will always be KYC and all the other controls needed to follow the money trail. Any crypto based on hiding identity will not be adopted by the traditional players. This should be the basis for obtaining a license from the big players. |

It is good to see a project with a low token count for a change. But this is fine as it just a token to receive profit, like a share. However, people may want to sell their tokens together with future profit sharing. How will you enable the trading of the tokens as most exchanges now refuse tokens receiving dividends as it is considered a security.
Hi JC, The Altilly exchange was launched in mid 2018. We have acquired the exchange in January 2019. It's already listed over there. Trading will be enabled in February 2020. https://www.altilly.com/asset/HODLER I do not know this exchange and volumes seem very low. Do you have any plans to get onto well known exchanges as this will be key for interest to people. People will want liquidity. |

Hi jc, Graham, do you perhaps have source code that will work on Ubuntu 19? I would like to upgrade the OSes on some of my nodes that are on Ubuntu 16. Then also, who is running with the p2p pool. Is it public or private?
Sorry for the delay, I've been offline for the last three months whilst moving house. I've updated the 0.9 repos and VCoin 0.9 now compiles on Ubuntu 19. I don't know anything about the pool, I'll have to see if there's anything I can turn up. In addition, the vcoincore repos has also been updated (to Core 0.18.1). ATM, I'm trying (but failing) to get a VCore 0.18.1 testnet up and running so's I can address the remaining significant unresolved technical issue, that of getting the metadata explorer to work more reliably with the client in respect of re-orgs. The 0.18.1 client compiles and runs, it even happily loads a copy of the current 0.9 mainnet datadir (very encouraging), it "sees" the other 0.18.1 clients on my internal testnet network and it can generate blocks but they don't seem to get broadcast to the testnet network. I'm still investigating. Cheers Graham Thanks Graham. I will upgrade one node to Ubuntu 19 then in the next few days and compile and test the new code. You shouldnt be thinking about it per day. What is important though, is that you do lease all your tokens. People with tokens on exchanges and in wallets will lose out on growth. One of these days Waves token balance will increase as per the posts in recent pages in this thread. Top whales will be getting more and more and if they stake you need to be in one of the pools with the largest balances or you will lose out. You can perhaps look at this site for an approximation of rewards. You can also look at Waves leasing pools here |
