Diff 5.x is not quite a profitable rate for miners at this price. Hope to see the KGW implementation soon.
It is going to take ages for for 6xx blocks to be solved. Having said this, I am not in this coin for the short term profit. Of the meaningful alt coins out there I think this one has tremendous potential due to its inherent properties and is undervalued a lot. The current slow down is because of the profit chasers going after the other alt coins. Patience is a virtue and those with patience on this coin will be rewarded in the end once the growing pains have been sorted out. There are a lot of pump and dump opportunities out there with other alt coins, but this is the coin I would rather collect and point my miners at. Of course there are a various things that can kill it, but with overall maturity from everyone and support from the devs this coin can become big.

In the P2Pool stats, what does the mean of lets say 2.5EXE mean? It is 2.5EXE per block or per hour, per megahash?
On graphs ? It's your payout if block was found NOW. So basically it tells you what payout you'll get next - it's based on your hashrate, submitted shares and total hashrate of the p2pool. You can see it grows over the initial time then gets constant - or gets smaller when more people join p2pool Ok thanks. Please help me with my maths. With about 1.5MH I get around 200EXE per day at a normal pool. If my mean on P2Pool is around 2.5EXE, this means that the P2Pool has to solve around 80 blocks for me to earn 200EXE per day. Am I calculating correct? I just pointed my miners to the P2Pool again to do further testing. Yes and no. You should get avarage 8-10 EXE / block so you need ~20-25 blocks. If you have lower avarage it means you've jsut started minig and youl get "full" payouts in 2-3 hours . Otr there something wrong What's your address ? 1Mhs gives ~6-7 EXE per cblock. Thanks. PMed my address to you.
Oh, guys remember , when using p2pool your payout will grow with time and will stabilize in 2-3 hours, there's also a benefit - when you'll finish mining your payouts will still come to your wallet for a few hours :)
https://www.dropbox.com/s/r1u5jic72lll5dh/payout1.PNG https://www.dropbox.com/s/u3i09kabdl864kc/payout2.PNG
Come on, give it a try ;)
http[Suspicious link removed] -o freebtc.eu:9173 -u your_wallet_address -p x you can add these numbers directly after your address +0.00011641 for 100khs +0.00023283 for 200khs +0.00034924 for 300khs etc It's always +0.00011641 multiplied by your hashrate / 100. So if you have 2000 kHs you'll add 20 x 0.00011641 = 0.00232828 which gives you this: exeminer.exe -o freebtc.eu:9173 -u your_wallet_address+0.00232828 -p x also remember: If you are getting a high DOA% try including --expiry 1 --scan-time 1 --queue 0 in your .bat file.
Today I'll help Locutus start the seond p2pool node
I tried it but I get a 25% stale share rate. It just seems that the payout is less than a normal pool with all those stale shares. I get <1% stales and rejects on a normal pool.

It is crazy idea, ASIC is not a choice, it is must, because of to keep and maintain the network is working, need a economical and high performance tool, this kind of coin have no future
As far as I understand the increase in processing speed will be offset by the increase in difficulty in order to maintain the block rate. In theory you can build super computers that will do super fast processing but at insanely high difficulty. In comparison drop the difficulty to almost zero and use a few CPUs like in the early days to process to achieve the same result. ASICs put more power in an individuals hands to process much faster more efficiently. Due to the high cost only a select few that can afford it will have the processing power. The end result is that processing will be in the hands of a few people/farms because most people cannot afford it. Adaptive scrypt-n makes it difficult to develop and use ASICs and therefor mining coins based on this algorithm stays true to one of the core principles of cryptocurrency which is distributed processing/mining by many ordinary people on the street. This principle also helps with the distribution of new coins over a wide base which is good for acceptance of a digital currency as payment method. ASICs are therefore a tool to satisfy a greedy few.
