I see the coins take 620 blocks to mature. The rewards are just over 1 coins per block. I think there is a serious risk for the chain to get stuck.
862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: July 25, 2017, 09:08:21 PM
It crashed again. This time running with just setgenerate true -1

It does crash. You cannot leave it alone for too long then you have to setgenerate again.
863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Leasing Question on: July 25, 2017, 07:31:34 PM
Hey Guys!

I have a quick question about staking. So, in terms of profits through leasing, is it okay if I keep adding my leasing stake on a node as I acquire more Waves or should I try to end my lease at every juncture and and then renew it in a wholesome amount? In other words: let's say I have 600 tokens and I lease it to WavesGo. I acquire 100 and 90 more tokens during subsequent weeks and lease them with WavesGo as separate leases. So I still have 790 tokens lease with the node but there are 3 leases instead of one. Will this hurt my profitability? Or should I just break all my leases and then do one lump-sum amount leasing everytime I buy more tokens?

Any help in this regard will be appreciated.
You could lease every time you buy some waves mate, there is no need to lease all at once. you will get the same amount regardless.

Thanks, mate.

Dont you get penalized if you stop your lease and that things then get reset? I remember vaguely about something kicking in after certain number of blocks. I just leave my tokens leasing and dont touch them. Whenever I add tokens I add to the lease. Payouts seem to be on the total leased in anyways.

Leasing and unleasing takes 1000 blocks each, that's ~ 16,66 hours each. So you will lose a small bit of rewards.
Un-leasing doesn't require the 1000 blocks, only leasing out does. If you switch to a new pool, you basically lose out on rewards for 1000 blocks only (given you re-lease immediately).

Thanks. So it is best to stick with your lease and not to move around a lot.

Is 1.0.5 still the latest wallet? Setgenerate drops on all cores after some time which is very annoying.

My GPU isn't showing any shares at all and nothing is showing up on the pool website either. Anyone has any ideas? Using cgminer with Radeon R9 270x.

Nevermind, solved it already. It just took a really long time before accepting a share.

You have missed the boat. ASICs have taken over.

Block reward seems very low compared to the premine.
867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEVERDIE- Get ready to live forever- ICO Live now! on: July 25, 2017, 06:17:03 PM
i have got some NEVERDIE tokens on my ethereum address. but where can i get those tokens? Who deposit them?

I am a little confused at the question. You have NEVERDIE on your ETH address? Your Wallet? You can get them here: https://neverdie.com/

It could be a fake token that someone created and did an airdrop. It happens on Waves platform all the time and I guess it could happen on Eth as well.

I got an airdrop of Ripto Bux a while back. So now what? I think I will just park it with the other airdrop souveniers. Is something to come of this token?

If you want you can trade them on either cryptopia or the waves dex currently RBX is fetching the price of 86 sats.

I thought about it but I have previously dumped stuff that I thought was worthless just to see a flash pump a few months down the line. I think I will just park it for a rainy day. Wondering about the plans though if any.

I just hope it does not become RIP to Bux.

Is this coin dead? Devs should keep everyone updated on BCT of what is going on.

You can track the accounts listed as per the OP.

I notice on page 6 of the whitepaper that tokens will have 18 decimals. That is a lot of decimals but interesting and could come in handy in the case of mass adoption in gaming.

Been mining this since last night and I've gotten two blocks so everything seems to be working, more or less. That was with the old miner, the updated one actually seems to be utilizing my CPU cores to their fullest so I'm hoping snatch some more blocks before everyone's using it. Hopefully we'll see a mining pool soon to take some of the RNG out of mining.

I like the idea behind this, hopefully the dev team is committed to carry through on it.

I setup some cloud mining but diff is starting to increase. Blocks already at 184 at time of post.

Would you please explain these virus issues?

Most wallets come up with 1 or 2 hits on virustotal, because in the past built in miners were used for malicious purposes by botnets. Most of the time they are false positives but you never know. You have to go with your gut on the results or do some research. Most of the time you can see if the results are just tripping 1 or 2 suspicious behavior triggers. Sometimes it is clear that the wallet is spiked when bad trojans come up.

There are some good practice tips in any event:
- work on virtual machines (VM) if you are unsure. You can kill the VM if things turn bad
- compile the wallet yourself from the source code
- the safest is to compile yourself on a Linux VM in the cloud.
- wait a few days and if you re-analyze things will have crystalized on Virustotal and more positive hits will occur if there was something bad.
876  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: July 25, 2017, 12:40:39 AM
Would ETH go down in price if Segwit in BTC goes smoothless?

Would ETH go up in price if Segwit activation occurs some trouble on August 1st?

I would not be surprized if Eth goes up in both cases but to different degrees. If confidence builds in BTC (and virtual currencies in general if things goes smooth Aug 1) the confidence will spill over to Eth. If things go bad for BTC Aug 1 people might move into Eth. It is not the old days anymore where Eth and BTC are inverse. It is much less the case nowadays with more new money coming into play.
877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: July 25, 2017, 12:26:22 AM
Got the new wallet mining. It seems the -1 function doesn't work the way you would expect. I'm running mine at 14 thread and that seems to max my cpu. As far as an antivirus finding something I wouldn't worry to much. It's fairly common. But please take measures to protect yourself.

Ok thanks. It worked by not using -1 but rather the actual number.
878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: July 24, 2017, 11:42:13 PM
Struggling to get this thing to mine. Setgenerate true -1 does not engage all the cores on the CPU.

Installed mine on Raspberry Pi. Working fine on the Pi.
880  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Cash - Fork 1:1 of Bitcoin - Pro on-chain scaling on: July 24, 2017, 05:05:00 PM
If you own a Ledger Wallet you are covered. You can move your BTC there pre fork. https://blog.ledger.co/securing-your-free-bitcoin-cash-stash-d50aff765688

This is true, however, most people dont have a hardware wallet and I think what they are saying is that there is a risk when importing your BTC private key there is a moment that the BCC wallet will have access to your BTC private key. This seems to be the issue for the previous poster. Hardware wallet is definitely the way to go e.g. Ledger Nano S. There was a backlog for ledger hardware wallets a few weeks back and not enough time to get one by 1 Aug unless the backlog is now cleared.
