Well done on the listing. It is really hard to get stakes with avg 5-6m network weight.
842  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MOBILEGO Crowdfund [$53 Million] - Decentralized Mobile Gaming Solutions on: July 28, 2017, 06:36:50 AM
After losing 6 grand, all I had left was 400$ in GAME. I was just tired of losing so said screw it and pulled it all out.

O-M-G.

Yeah, All I had to do was say screw it and leave it there Sad

The biggest lesson is that you never dump a bag for dust. I would rather let a coin die with a bag and lose $100 than to dump that bag and live with regret of what could have been had I kept it, which could be significant. I know it is a harsh thing to say but it happens to everyone at one point or another where you make an emotional decision and that is how you learn. Unless you have the guts to be a day trader, buy stuff with reasonable prospects, park it and forget about it. Don't get emotional about price movements, don't sit and watch the graphs all day. Just park the coins and forget or maybe make ROI and park the rest.

I mean... It was a lot different back then. $400 meant a hell of a lot more than it does now. The Bitcoin and altcoin market has gone up hundreds of times since then. Most people in the game didn't have that much money to go around. Hell, when I had about $400 in crypto, I bought game at 5k sats. I'd have a solid profit if I hodl'd it, but I sold at 6k instead. And this guy was around ages before me.

True that. It once happened to me as well. That is where I vowed never to do that again. All the people that are complaining about the eMGO compatibility should be thankful that they are forced and prevented from making an emotional decision. Just hodl, hodl, hodl and in the event that it crashes move on.

Been trying to build this on a VPS but the build always fails on the make step. Is it possible to build just 'biblepayd' only?
For context, I've been building other wallet daemons with a 'make -f makefile.unix' without problem.

What failure message do you get? It is not a stock standard traditional compile. Post your error message that you get.
844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Airdrop][PoW][PoS] WACoins - Communities' coin on: July 28, 2017, 04:45:03 AM
Finally confirmed. There's no information about staking, however, on the wallet. Like, if my coins are matured or time/weight

Difficulty got too high and chain was stuck around 3.4m for a while. Down to about 1.4m. It seems Qt wallet requires older Qt4 to build so it therefore goes hand in hand with tech at the time and does not seem to have the newer fancy staking metrics in it.

Try doing a showblock 570 and see if this hatch matches:

Getockhash 570 is the same as yours.
847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: July 27, 2017, 03:03:08 PM
I did see that I made a bit of a cock-up and my wallet was neither encrypted nor locked - I must have left that from install thinking to do it and totaly slipped my mind, and I finally did that the day I got my last reward, so I'm wondering if having it encrypted/unlocked delays the process or something?

There is no difference staking-functionality wise if you dont encrypt your wallet vs encrypting and unlocking for staking only. Unlocking for staking places it is the same state for staking as an unencrypted wallet. Security wise on the other hand, it is foolish to leave your wallet unencrypted because if your wallet.dat is stolen you lose your coins. I would not leave a stratis wallet unencrypted at current prices and a good prospect of further increases.

Hi mate, you've thrown me a bit with this. You say there's no difference in staking weight/reward with unencrypted/encrypted, but then say to leave the wallet unencrypted  Huh

I won't leave it unencrypted for the security reasons you've already said, but you seem to advise to do so, and I can't work out why? And why would current prices affect whether to encrypt or not?

Sorry that was a typo. Fixed.

No I am not saying to leave it unencrypted as that would be silly. I am saying you have to encrypt it and unlock it for staking only. That does not mean it is unlocked for coin transfer. Unlocking for staking is the same staking-wise than leaving it unencrypted and doing nothing.

If tokens are issued immediately at a fixed rate, will the tokens be immediately transferrable to another Eth wallet? How would you handle gas for token movements from your online wallet to another wallet?

What is the status on the pool. If you insist on PoW you need a working pool.
851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Airdrop][PoW][PoS] WACoins - Communities' coin on: July 27, 2017, 08:20:04 AM
Manual payout from the pool is not working.. Thirty minutes, still no transaction.
This does not seem a pool problem, it is that there is still a lot of space for new miners.

I will answer everybody here: yes, I can confirm that if you have not a 1 year-old account you cannot partecipate to Airdrop. As I wrote, we will give details soon.

@Ardhi it is not and we have no intention to abandon it, we prefer to work silently instead of posting here continuously.

@Who asked why is mining so hard: mining WACoins is hard, this is another of the reason why WACoins' value will be higher. It is an added value for each miner and WAC owner. There are coins which give you a lot of coins easily by PoW or PoS and then you need to sell one million of those coins to get some cents. 1 WAC will be enough to get something good. Do not worry.

@liotmaan: if you have no solved yourself, contact us on Slack, Telegram, Facebook, MP or here.

Can you confirm if the official pools are paying out? Lots of blocks have been solved in the pool that do nit show in the balances. Something is wrong at the pool side.

It looks like the official pool payouts is not working.
854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: July 26, 2017, 05:27:11 PM
Hello everyone!!!! I have questions: How much to wait before receiving coins from mining? Is anybody got his coins? Thank's!!!

It can take half a day to a day for a block for an average CPU.

Two days running.Number of blocks increased from 326 to 427 and no transactions.getmininginfo:
  "blocks": 427,
  "currentblocksize": 1000,
  "currentblocktx": 0,
  "difficulty": 0.002369640862025556,
  "errors": "",
  "genproclimit": 25,
  "networkhashps": 1569.635801700892,
  "hashps": 5232.685032774519,
  "minerstarttime": 1501071883889,
  "pooledtx": 0,
  "testnet": false,
  "chain": "main",
  "biblepay-generate": true

What is wrong?

There are 2 important aspects:

1. What are the specs of your CPU? You need at least 8 cores i5/7 or AMD equivalent to stand a chance.
2. Download HWmonitor from CPUID and monitor the performance of your cores. You will see that from time to time the setgenerate crashes and your cores sit idle. If that happens restart your setgenerate. This happens at least every hour or two. Increase the thread count until all your cores are at 100%.

I would say that your CPU has been sitting idle for the last 2 days because you have probably been flying blind.

In a way the locking of the previous thread was because of the stringent requirements of the campaign. You should remove the requirement to post here so much. My 2c.
857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: July 26, 2017, 12:23:12 PM
Ill look into adding threads but until that is sorted (or figured out)  I will use 1.0.1.5. Ill switch at 499 however.

Yes, it is a pity Loc got messed up. I ran masternodes for a long time and it all came to a waste in the end.
859  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: July 26, 2017, 04:58:07 AM
It seems update 1.0.1.6 is worse than 1.0.1.5 and engages less of the cores hashing power.
