221  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: While the USD keep falling against naira, let's take the chances to buy more of on: March 27, 2024, 08:12:53 PM
We are in a long walk with the current reshaping of the economy to meet current economic dynamism that come along with the recent naira gains over the dollars which is the major point of blames for the recent hardship and inflation in the country,  it will take a long period of time before the results will reflect on the price of goods and services in the market and until all the old stocks get out of stock many whole sellers will mentain their landing price and just like the first comment mentioned.

But another factor that could possible crash the price of good and services I the place of fuel, if fuel price could drop significantly,  thos could have an immediate impact on the price of goods and basic commodities.
222  Economy / Economics / Re: Off Economic phenomenon. on: March 27, 2024, 07:19:26 PM
The exchange rate of naira to dollars is not the course of the economic hardship and the hyke in the price of goods and services within the country,  you should ask yourself this basic questions.

1: is the price of other trading currencies and assets not pricing above the dollars, e.g bitcoin for example is at above $68k+ and yet the United state government is not blaming bitcoin are they?

2: the problem relys much more on export rate against import rates?

Conclusion

Nigeria over dependence on  petroleum and importations of almost everything and low internal production of basic commodities is the major course of the hardship.

Now the naira is appreciating against the United state dollars, but yet the price of goods and services are still skyrocketing on daily basis.

224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How my gambling life started. on: March 27, 2024, 05:56:50 PM
Gambling experience for beginner is almost same most especially when it has to do with how we managed ourselves around it and becoming firm and stable base on emotions and our ability to withstand loses and other aspects that comes along with Gambling and it risks and jow we grow along with it, gambling is quite unique that it experience seems to be same.

But gambling with friends and family may not be a good approach I will rather gamble on an online casino rather than visiting a physical casinos with family or friend.
225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Becomes of Gambling if Sport book is taken away. on: March 25, 2024, 03:22:26 PM

Why will casino or other gambling site lose their popularity? It is not possible. All countries can not just come one day and decide to ban gambling. That is not possible. There are some countries that ban gambling and there are some countries that do not ban gambling but gambling sites are becoming popular.
I think you should have a reread again to understand that country part of the ops because what I meant is not what you understood it to be and making your point not to give me the real message I expected from the reply,  well what the thread is aimed at in a simple terms is how the influence of sport bets in the gambling industry,  and how sportbets made casinos to become more popular and what are the possibilities let assuming that sports such as football tournaments are ban?

I know this can never happen that the whole world will ban football,  but also know that there is a possibility that some countries could ban football depending on the style of their leadership.
226  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't make your bets when you're tired on: March 25, 2024, 03:06:31 PM
I understand how you feel right now, because I once experience same some times ago and the pain from that loses stayed long with me before I eventually overcome it some times ago, is absolutely a bad idea t9 gamble when you are already exusted and tired and also don't gamble when you are not in the right frame of mind and when your emotions is fully in control of your decisions.

Secondly don't gamble when you are drunk,  all this are the negative vises that can effects your overall gambling experience and realities.

When you are tired, the only time you should gamble is to play fun base games that will make you rest and fall asleep on time, stay away from betting at that point and stick to fun alone.
227  Economy / Gambling discussion / What Becomes of Gambling if Sport book is taken away. on: March 25, 2024, 02:52:47 PM
I don't know is this have been discussed before here on the gambling discussion board or not, but let see how our independent opinion on this question will be and what to anticipate should Incase we find ourselves at that stage in time.

Just as the title stated, what do you think will becomes of gambling enirly if we wake up one morning to the news of global banning of football,  or a country ban it citizens from participating in football both as a game and also a sport.

Do you think gambling/casinos will lose it popularity since chunk number of their clients are from sport bookies section?
228  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Government demanding from Binance the lists of its Nigerian users on: March 25, 2024, 02:46:19 PM
JUST IN: NSA confirms Binance executive’s escape from custody

The Office of the National Security Adviser has confirmed that the detained Binance executive, Nadeem Anjarwalla, escaped from custody. It was reported that he escaped on Friday. It was said that preliminary investigation shows that Mr Anjarwalla fled Nigeria using a smuggled passport. ”

They are looking for a way to arrest him back. I guess federal government can not win this and likely he will make it to United States. Let us see how it goes.

You can read more about it here:
https://punchng.com/detained-binance-executive-escapes-from-custody/
https://punchng.com/nsa-confirms-binance-executives-escape-from-custody/

Or United States will arrest him so that he can be sent back to Nigeria?  Grin
Baba all this things na game plan,  I told you guys that at the end federal government will lose money because of the wrong approach they adopted in the case of the naira vs binance crisis,  most times the government always get it wrong when it comes to naira stabilisation,  and what we're they thinking that your president announced a free flow of the naira in the forex market will result into a positive outcome for the value of the currency this is wrong and baseless thoughts.

Just like the fuel subsidy thing also, this two things are affecting the country in the most negative ways, the economy is bleeding and corruption is at it highest rate.

Well the binance staff that escaped shows how weak the security system are, although the individual that escaped have some military training I think so, he is a former FBI agent if I am not mistaking.

Well so long as one of the staffs is still in custody, the government will still have some good hold, I read also that the federal revenue commission have fild a case of tax evasion against binance today I high court Abuja.
229  Economy / Gambling / Re: tell me the best online casino on: March 25, 2024, 02:23:08 PM
This may be off topic, but is there a recent ranking check of the casinos that currently offer the best welcome bonuses? I would probably start with them as a beginner.
I have not come across such ranking of late, and I do not think that there is any thread on this forum currently with such ranking of casinos with the best welcome bonuses, for if there was, I think such thread probably would have been one of the most active threads on this board at the moment, since majorly every gambler is usually interested in bonuses, and a welcome bonus is one new gamblers are particularly always interested in.

If this is what you are looking for actually, I did say you take your time and visit every casino thread, do some reading in their site to find out if they have any welcome bonus for new registrants - but then, I think this will be very much time consuming, and before going into this quest, you have to first think about the possible or potential reward, is it, or will it be worth the time and stress?

Second option is to search on Google to see if there is any recent article of such comparison, there are some online gambling casino review sites that specializes in such reviews and ranking, try Google and see if you can find any recent article on casinos ranked based on their welcome bonus, that the welcome bonuses are still active.
If also welcome bonus I what makes up for the best casinos then you will be having almost all the casinos on the same list and ranks, because almost all the casinos give out a welcome bonus to players who just registered and funded their account on the casinos since that is the first point of marketing and means of getting players to make deposits after registrations, so I think bonus is more are less a trap to the gambler instead being perceived as a quality or plus for the casino.

As Fivestar4everMVP mentioned we haven't seen a list that contains ranking of casinos according to whatever criteria that been use to select them, reason being that ranking doesn't mean much to the community because all that matters to a gambler is to have a few things from a casino such as good reputation, and activiness in delivering they services this is what matter most to us as a community and any casinos that have those qualities regardless of the popularity or what have you, their will still attract and sustain good customers in the community.
230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the largest meme coin ever? on: March 25, 2024, 10:59:41 AM
In my opinion, Dogecoin is the biggest meme coin that has ever existed and has been booming in a fairly fast period of time so that many millionaires and billionaires have come up with Dogecoin, which is why Doge is the biggest meme in crypto history.
There are several other meme coins that are also almost following the movement of Dogecoin but will not be the same in terms of popularity which is growing so quickly as Dogecoin.
Yeah dog coin seems to be the largest and most popular memecoins of all time, although when their say largest memecoins I don't know in what context is it in the cyculating supply of the coin or the level of the community of followers that are following the coin as a project.

But in all I think Dogecoin will still come first because the project minted a whole lot of dogs during the early days of the project, although we may have other newwer memecoins in the market lately that could break records innthat regards also but I am not familiar with many of them so the only predictions for me in terms of largeness in the memecoin community is dogcoins because their are among the earliest projects in the market.
231  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cruel level of addiction, causing harms and still keeping it up on: March 25, 2024, 10:18:28 AM

Addictions is the worst state for any gambler and once you reach that point, the only thing that can get you out is the person 100% involvement and determination to get off the addictions.
You are right. But the person needs to know that he has to stop gamble for months or years until he is satisfied that he is no longer addicted. If the person love gambling, he can have a gambling budget like we always say on this gambling discussion board and it should be small amount of money. But it will be good if the person just stop gambling.
The ability to have that total withdrawal from gambling is what many addicts lack, I know remember how you have always mentioned about your previous gambling addictions problem and how you where able to overco that addictions now and can gamble within your set budgets and doing well at that, so if the victim can apply same approach he may still make it our of his current state unharmed but at this stage he is really in a mess that need urgent intervention.

Gambling is risky and even most of us who are not addicted still experiences some bad outcomes if we go over our budget and taking gambling for what it is not, we need to always put in check whatever our gambling activities are to keep balance because addictions is indeed a bad virus to any gambler.
232  Economy / Gambling / Re: My betting strategies on: March 25, 2024, 10:06:58 AM
Soccer games when it comes to making sports bets can change the focus of wins and losses on the players from almost nothing, normally this can change for good, or to generate a better outlook for the players, when a player is casino only You have to immerse yourself clearly in your luck, whether you have good luck or not, because you have to stick to that, in the case that you are a sports betting player, the chances of winning are much higher than those of playing merely in a casino. with their machines.

This is a fact, sometimes sports betting is a reason for people to bet on their bet and win thanks to that, or to their intuition, very rarely does the luck factor play a role, if there is, but it is not as much as in casinos when They are played on machines, this is what I see primarily, betting and trading are analogous in this sense.

You are right mate, sport betting gives the gambler higher winning chances and that is the most interesting thing with sports bets since most of the time, a good analyses can aid your faster winning and increases your chances and also if you have the ability to predict accurately will make you above luck alone,  unlike in house casinos games that to do with the gamblers luck and chances to win them, and often than none gamblers lose to rhe house in most of they bets on in house games, unlike with sport bets where gamblers can easily predict and get lucky at most times.
233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cruel level of addiction, causing harms and still keeping it up on: March 25, 2024, 09:54:41 AM
At first I fine this story very hard to believe may be because of the way the ops posted it because I don't believe someone in that harm state will have the ability to decide for himself wether or not to gamble, I agree with that level of violent gambling addictions but at this stage he should be on chain on in rehabilitation house since obviously he is now uncontrollable.

Addictions is the worst state for any gambler and once you reach that point, the only thing that can get you out is the person 100% involvement and determination to get off the addictions.
234  Other / Off-topic / Re: Does having children have an influence on gambling habits? on: March 25, 2024, 09:45:58 AM
When you have one or more children, you have heavy responsibilities. Sometimes you're on a tight budget. Can being a parent change our playing habits? Are losses even harder to bear when you're in charge of a family? What are your experiences in this area?
It depends on individuals and how the aim at running they life's, sometimes I disagree with any views that make it sound as if responsibility should be a basis for gambling,  or gambling to make earns needs,  this is a wrong assumptions and as far as I know, gambling is far from that in reality and since gambling results are unpredictability that makes gambling out of choice for many of us.

And most of the times, wether a gambler have one kid or two, it doesn't really matter, and what you do is based on your personal convictions.
235  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: International break's in football. on: March 24, 2024, 11:51:21 PM
I was not aware of the football league's International breaks this weekend, so this afternoon I was checking livescors to see which match we hard for the Sunday nd to my greatest surprise there was no International football game listed and I know the various league's are already on break and could be taking some days to probably a week before we be having our favorite clubs and teams back on the field again.

Until then we can keep ourselves busy with some few local leagues football games till the International leagues break is over.
236  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your state on mind if your son stole your money to gamble? on: March 24, 2024, 11:42:48 PM
Death penalty, no mercy! Cheesy

But joking aside here, I think that a lot of things must have been going wrong beforehand. I think in a healthy relationship between father and son, it would be quite a rare occasion that a son steals money and then uses it to gamble. Wonder if it is about stealing money from a physical wallet or taking it from a credit card or otherwise, but in the end it doesn't matter.

I'd think that if father and son get along well, what would the issue be to ask the dad for some cash to have fun doing some gambling? It's not the best activity, but if there is trust between the two, I'd rather want my son to ask.
You are right, of course there is something that is not talked about enough so that these children dare to steal the money that their children have, because if they get along with each other as you say, of course they will ask their parents and if that's true according to people For their parents, gambling is not a good thing. Of course, as parents, they can advise their children not to play gambling and advise their children to choose the type of game that is appropriate for their age.
In this case what has gone wrong is multiple and already we should establish a case of gambling addictions for the boy, before we go ahead to point out also the parents as being irresponsible in they actions because with risk reality we should know that the parent have failed in they responsibility to raise the boy properly he shouldn't be stealing money to gamble with, so both parents have failed in the role which is what the both of you have mentioned in your comments.

Well in this situation I will suggest that the boy should be taken to a rehabilitation center for him to come out of his gambling addictions tendency before any other civil punishment will follow.
237  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Be very careful of third party account on: March 24, 2024, 11:33:31 PM
My country people, i dy greet ona inside this afternoon,  today I wan talk about one thing wey most of us know but we fit still fall victim if we no pay close attention to, and that thing na third party account during p2p transaction.

Even though most exchange dy even warn say make we no accept Payment from third party account, most people, once them see say the person don pay the money, them go just rush and release the asset, not knowing that them fit use a third party account use send the money wey fit put you for serious problem, if na through criminality Dem use gain access to that account them use send you money, so I suggest make we dy careful oo, especially when we dy transact p2p transaction.
This is a good update we're you carry come so, because some people fit go hack person account, come take to make payment when they trade with you and if you no get enough sense you go just rush go confirm for them, well the risk is that, you risk your account getting flagged when investigation reveals your account as a receiver of the elicit funds.

So for best practice,  never allow for third party payment and if anyone make the attempt to use such formant on you as a trader all that you need to do is to follow the due process and report such trade and let support take it from their most times they will ask you to transfer the money back to the account, this way you clear your hand as recepant or benefactor of the illicit funds.
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is investment a necessity or a want? on: March 24, 2024, 11:10:31 PM
It is am obvious fact there are a lot of coins coming in to the market and Bitcoin halving is so close and alot of people are also diving in to the  market, but some thing actually triggered me creating this thread which is where I got the attention from, some one very close to me has been prioritizing coins involvement other than his health care. What are your option on this?
Of what use is the investment if you lack good health,  although when you said health you did not mentioned what aspects or what the level or state of his health,  becausits only with that in mind that we can easily make contributions and comments that may come near balance with your answers to this question.

But on a general level, health should come first over investments, instead of neglecting your health on the ground that you want to invest by all means.
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A good time to buy Aptos on: March 24, 2024, 10:55:39 PM
Aptos will not be a sure bet although it may be among the top choice of some investor's who may feels that the coin have future potentials and choosing to hold the coin against the next bull market season.

But left for me, I don't see Aptos as a good investment choice and I won't risk my money on, and being a previous active coin alone is not a guarantee for the coin to do well again in the future,  I rather look for new projects that will give me the first chance opportunity to make some profits on my investment.
240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Always check the deposit address on: March 24, 2024, 10:23:50 PM
This is not new warning but I think people might need to be reminded about this after experiencing this personally just now. I recently made a loan using a casino wallet address, I check the wallet address if it’s the same before I ask the loan and I confirmed that it was the same.

The problem comes when the loan is already sent while my casino wallet address update right after the loan amount sent. Take note that I’m using same wallet address since I play to this casino for about 3 years and they just update my wallet address some time after I post my loan request here.

To make the story short. The balance is not credited but after a lengthy discussion with the support and after sending proof that my old wallet address is still the same when I made the deposit(loan) then they recover my funds out of good will.

The lesson here is always check the wallet address before you deposit no matter how long do you use the same address. Most importantly don’t use casino wallet address to receive funds that has a delay such as loan money and campaign payments since there’s a chance that they will update their wallet address without prior notice. Keep safe and have fun.
You made a big mistakes for using a casino wallet to deposit anything other than making deposits to gamble with, because receiving a loan or other payments with a casinos wallet is like exposing yourself and loan amount into higher risk that will eventually go wrong for you as a gambler,  bit then also you are right in your warning in the area of always going to the casinos or whatever wallet page of the platform you want to use and copying the address afresh each time you want to make a deposits because most of this platforms changes their address so often.

Is pauses higher risk for you as a gamblerto have balance in your casinos account and left alone receiving loans credit via such risk medium unless if you are taking the loan to gamble with.
