Christian McCaffrey traded to 49ers in blockbuster deal

LOL just my luck... anyone wants a very good but now slightly useless niners RB? Who may or may not play by week 11 and may or may not get dumped into some other team.

Lol “slightly useless” might be a bit of of an understatement. I own McCaffrey in two of my three leagues, and I’m happy and all about the trade, but I was really hoping he was going to be picked up by the Buffalo Bills.  Can you guys imagine if the Bills added CMC to their roster. It would have easily put them over the top. Niners are definitely a solid landing spot for CMC owners however.

Honestly that is probably one of the best case scenarios for cmc owners.  Niners are known to like to jam the ball.  Cmc will get a ton of touches and opportunities especially with Jimmy behind center.  If Lance was still qb I'd be weary.  I have eli on IR I guess he will be useless once he comes back

After witnessing plenty of games on the 2nd day of the season, tomorrow we will be limited with 2 games only.

Bucks vs 76ers -4
Clippers vs Lakers +5.5

I feel betting on the favorites would give me a win, so I'm leaning with the 76ers to bounce back from their previous game's loss and the Clippers to gave the Lakers their 2 losses in a row.

I like the Clippers -5.5 but not the 76ers -4 because Bucks is a decent team, if 76ers will win here, I think it will be a close game so there's a good chance that the Bucks will be able to cover the spread. I know they came from a lose against the Celtics, but that doesn't mean they'll win at home. Anyway, good luck to you bro.

I actually took the Bucks money line here at +145.  Think giannis fights for mvp again this year and honestly think they make it back to the Finals.  Should be a good game either way.

The late game with the Lakers is rough.  Giving the Clippers 5.5 points on theor opening night.  Lebron and AD gonna bring something special think I gotta ride the Lakers getting points here.

Enjoy the games and good luck people

Well the Bucks came through but dam that Lakers game hurt, they blew the spread in the last second on stupid play.  They had it covered the whole time.  Well I guess those are the breaks.

Lots of games tonight.

Laying on:

Knicks -7
Nets -2.5
Timberwolves -8.5

The Timberwolves I think is my lock of the night and laying hard on them.  Good luck everyone and enjoy the games!

He stole from his girlfriend, he should at least give her an amount of money that is worth it, given her back just 10000 naira does not worth it at all. Giving her 1 to 5 million naira is not a bad idea.

I think we should consider the other side of the story had it been he lost in the bet, I believe he gave her back the same amount that he stole simply because his girlfriend is not worth giving more than that. May be before he won the gamble she has said a lot of bad things to him thinking that he was going to lose and pay her back the amount that he stole or her attitude towards him when she realised that her boyfriend is a gambler has not been fare, probably there must be something that is not clear in the story of OP.

Did you read the scenario, he stole the money from her.  You think it's just fair if she gets back the same amount of money.  And if he stole 10k what makes you think he would pay her back since he didn't have the money in the first place.  I think you need to re read the scenario, and if you did than your moral compass needs adjusting.

i dont know why people keep discussing this coin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5148909.0 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5133327.0

in this subforum alone there is dozen those are two example

i guess a miner holding 80% of the hash rate can do whatever they want to, including denying people the right to spend their BSV.

and yes if you hold more than 50% hashrate you can pretty much do anything on your own chain

Question is why would anyone want 50% of the bsv chain lol.  I mean I guess for the lols but that hashpower can be better spent elsewhere no?  And if this really is the case it should likely be just as the title says, the end.
2205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Two Gambling Stories on: October 20, 2022, 06:12:16 PM
These are two gambling stories that are very interesting

Story 1
A man stole his girlfriend's 10k to place a bet. He won 100 million and returned 10k to his girlfriend. His girlfriend is furious and demands 40 million dollars.

Story 2
An apprentice who won 16 million naira on BET was asked by his boss to split the money into two parts. This 50 - 50. As the story goes, people sided with his boss, and he had no choice but to comply. It's important to remember that the money used to bet belongs to the apprentice, not the boss.

*Read the different opinions of people here

First, in your opinion, what would be a reasonable amount to give his girlfriend? Second, assuming you were the apprentice in the story, would you abandon your training or would you have given in to the pressure to split the money with your boss?

Honestly half.  He stole it it's not like he borrowed it.  Likely to say he would have never paid her back.  If we are talking usd here what's the difference between 100mil and 50mil when you never had even close to that.  He shoukd just be thankful she doesn't report him to the police lol.  Take half and run!

Knicks showed some fight but still ended up with the loss at Memphis.  Covered the +4, I know a lot of people took Grizzlies at home only giving the Knicks 4.  Jared Jackson being out was a huge piece for them.  Knicks were getting blowout and when they were on the comeback they owned the paint.  81 more to go, cmon Knicks do something please lol.
2208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you win so big on: October 20, 2022, 05:47:30 PM
As a responsible gambler, I know we don't let gambling change our lifestyle. If today is your luckiest day ever in gambling,on your first game you won the sum of $50 000.
First, will you quit the game immediately and withdraw all your funds or will you play for awhile because you are excited.

Second, will you use this money to upgrade your lifestyle i.e living big and showing off, even relocating to a better environment and forget about your old friends in your former neighborhood ? Or will you just remain quiet, happy and living a your normal way of life but investing the money into something profitable without telling anyone ?

Who you kidding anyone who wins that on shot number one will definitely be gambling more.  That might actually end up being the worse day in theor life.  It's better to understand how it can effect you to lose a lot so that when you win a lot ypu have a frame of reference.  With that being said I'd buy me some nice Courtside knicks tickets, a Vaca and gamble the rest lol.  Yolo
2209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins Will Go Parabolic on: October 19, 2022, 08:10:58 PM

Every cycle has a different flavor to it.  No one knows what will happen 6 months, 2 years ,10 years ahead with altcoins.  It's mostly all a gamble and when someone hits big they think they've figured it out until one day they get wiped out not respecting the volatility of the market we are in.
2210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin made you a millionaire? on: October 19, 2022, 08:08:53 PM
It'd be interesting to know how people find and analyse good long term projects that made insane profits. Can you list:

1. How you found the coin
2. Why you believed in the project
3. Why are you still holding or why you sold

I am not a millonaire yet but I bought HEX at $.05 about a year ago and sold at $.20. I thought a made a nice profit but HEX did another 2.5x.

I found HEX by watching a youtube channel and I believe in HEX because Richard Heart seems like a smart dude. I sold because I was dumb back then.

Anyone who said they are a millionaire on this thread is probably lying.  Why set yourself up to continually be harassed by scammers looking for an easy payout.  The real crypto millionaires kept quiet and to themselves the whole while participating in this community.  Why shout out your personal gains on this board?
2211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Want KYC at Crypto Casinos During Registration? on: October 19, 2022, 08:06:47 PM
That's the way it is, any big time site will have kyc.  But if you are looking for an answer to your question on the subject line, no.  Nobody wants to hand out more personal information than they need to.  If they give you a choice it's nope.  Rules and regs dictate the industry.

Golden State Warriors vs LA Lakers
123 - 109

Golden State Warriors are fun to watch. The way they execute their plays and the way the ball is rotating; the execution is just perfect. Poole and Wiggins showed the crowed why they deserve that contract extension. They came in balling tonight.

on the other hand

The Lakers are just a mess right now, especially in the third quarter. There is no defense, and the offense is totally nowhere to be found. Their plays are a mess. It is just the first game but we already see that there is a lot to fix in this team in order to be competitive again. If they play weaker teams, they will be alright but against a well-organized team with good chemistry, they will surely struggle.

I thought the Lakers looked alright in the second half. They had a nice run at the end when shots started falling. They just shot terribly most of the game. If they can figure out a way to get Hield or another long range shooter I think they’d be alright.

They are off in shooting while Warriors create more than them and Lakers seems relying on LBJ that's why they left behind by Curry's team. Although Davis got a quite good run in the first half but that's not enough to help LBJ to dominate their opponent. Maybe better luck next time of Lakers and they should find more ways to create good chemistry since if they remain like this they can't defeat Warriors on next match up.

They are lacking with what the Warriors are good at, chemistries and rotations are very important when playing this game,
though I can agree with you that AD did try his best to help LeBron,

but witnessing how weak Lakers are in terms of ball rotations that is something that they needed to work more,
It's just the opening and they are playing against the defending champ plus the Dub crowd. It's really difficult to beat them in their home.

Moving forward, it will be great to see a healthy AD, as he can provide good numbers from time to time.

Well, it seems that they are back on the drawing board again because coach Ham is still having some hard time drawing the right plan for the team. Although it's too early too say because the season have just started but Lakers won't reach far if they will continue with that kind of play.

It's way too early to say.  Especially having to play the dubs on ring night too.  Lakers were never winning that game.  Ypu need to get to at least game 20 to shake off the rust and see what each team looks like.  Anyone can look great or terrible on opening night.  With that being said, GS looks real deep this year.

Depressing having a solid team and being 1-5.

I hear yah, I look at my team and say damn its stacked and then look at my 3-3 that I have been struggling to get too!

BTW, kicked Gordon to the curb, can't believe I got Brian Robinson Jr.  with my waiver pick.

I almost didn't even bother to put it in there thinking I didn't have a chance!

You never know what you are gonna get on the waiver pile.  Last year when it was 8 teams you only needed the waiver when one of your guys went down with a long injury.  As you get to 10 and 12 it can make or break your season.  Good pickup wash seems to like to run the kid.
2214  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 19, 2022, 02:30:11 PM
I’m glad Chuck is defending Westbrook, who is having a great game. The Lakers just don’t play well together. They look a little better with Nunn and Beverly but they’re missing something. It just seems like they don’t really want to win.
So you heard that too during the halftime, but it seems his co-workers are not in agreement with him. I don't know.
There may be truth with what Chuck said about Westbrook not enjoying the game anymore because of the Lakers team.
That's not how he played during his OKC, Rockets, and Wizards career. The energy is gone and he keeps on making mistakes with simple plays.
One of them showed and it was actually a silly technical foul when he tapped Wiggins while making an inbound. Reggie Miller and Harlan even laughed at what he did after watching the replay.

Lakers is not happy with Westbrook anymore and also he don't like to be part of lakers anymore. Their conflict happen last season ruin already their relationship so its not really good to keep him up in the line up since for sure they will not get good chemistry in that set up. Maybe lakers should not demand more to get rid of Westbrook so that it will be fair for both parties to depart ways.

Honestly I don't believe the Lakers want to part with Westbrook.  Who are they going to replace him with?  It's not addition by subtraction with him.  Like they said last night if I told you your point guard will give you 18/7/7 would you take that?  Not many pgs that can drop those types of numbers.
2215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: TAMADOGE to $1 soon? on: October 17, 2022, 09:20:19 PM
There's a new "meme" coin on the market called "Tamadoge". It had a pre-sale for quite some time which turned out to be a huge success. According to the website, the "meme" coin will have its own P2E (Play-to-Earn) game where you can earn TAMA on the ETH blockchain. Whenever the project will be a success or a failure in the long run, it's yet to be seen. While I don't think TAMA will become extremely-valuable in the future (it's a "meme" coin after all), it could certainly become a profitable venture for early investors within the short-term.

What do you think about this coin? Is it a scam or is it legit? Do you think it's possible TAMA will reach $1 within the not-so-distant future? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Smiley

Why on earth people still put theor money in these things is beyond me.  Memes had their run but they are all useless.  It's a joke so what do you think will happen with price.  It's gonna tank once everyone mass sells theor initial coins.  I'd steer clear.
2216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: October 17, 2022, 09:13:47 PM
I share the same view, this fight won't happen this year just like what they first forecasted it because in the first place, if they want to make the fight happen then both camps should've done the right thing and wouldn't make the discussion so long. Maybe it's time for Crawford to face another boxer while their discussion between Spence's camp is blurry.

Crawford might be the first one to fight in super welter because I heard Spence have his mandatory fight if this won't happen.
I read some articles about this and it's interesting to see some ex-boxers talking about it like Bradley said a while ago who said the same thing because they won't be fighting this year.
And I think this is quite reasonable because even though there will definitely be some hype about this that will be raised but when you see that it is now at the end of 2022 then indeed the opportunity to fight for this year is a little difficult and maybe next year it can still happen if one of the camps does not avoid it. again Grin

Actually about this fight my expectations were too high and I had too much hope so that it was destroyed and I personally feel disappointed, but indeed this happened because of my expectations so that when they decided not to fight it was difficult for me to force.

There's not enough time for training anymore, so this fight is not gonna happen this year, however, it would be better if we will know when it will happen so our effort of hyping the fight won't be wasted. As a fan, we like to see this undisputed fight, both fighters are great, so it's definitely a great entertainment for the fans, they just have to agree on the split, or they should not be afraid to risk their undefeated record.

Well they have been teasing us of a November date and this is as early when this thread was open by the OP. And yet, in several months, nothing solid had happen, except like agreement in terms but in seems only verbal. So there is nothing concrete, so they will continue to tease us with this fight. Not sure if the problem is the split, maybe one corner (Spence), doesn't want this fight, in my opinion. Or they will wait till they see Crawford performance is going downhill.

What I'm curious about is why does Crawford still holding on to this fight? It's almost clear that the opposite camp is playing games on him to make their chances on winning go higher, in my opinion, Crawford must fight another opponent while this undisputed fight is not on play.

Because ultimately Crawford wants that fight.  He is getting on the older side of boxing and he doesn't have time to fight other lower end people while this gets put together.  If I was Crawford I'd just put up a deadline and if the fight doesn't happen leave it on Spence for not getting it done and be over it.

2022 is going to be the worst year for crypto investors. Any thoughts guys?

Ypu have not seen 2015 then lol.  Seriously it hasn't been as bad as then.  Prices were so low and crypto was still a joke to the mainstream.  At least now ypu know there is big money in it and its only a matter of time before it turns around.  2023 might end up being worse than 2022 honestly.

Anyone else getting excited for the regular season!  October is the best month, baseball playoffs, football going strong and nba starting up not to mention the college sports.

Someone give me a bold prediction for this year.  Could be nba champ, mvp winning, scoring title, etc.

Here's mine:

RJ Barrett averages 25 points a game leading the Knicks to a spot in the eastern conference finals eventually losing to the Bucks.  There.

Alright I did it.  Laid a bet on my ny giants.  +5.5 at home, if they don't win I think they can keep it close today.  But then again I laid a bet on them so here comes a blowout loss lol.  Enjoy the games today and good luck in ff all!

CONGRATS !!!

BOOM!!

My Homer pick hit lol.  Never expected that ending what a game.  They have an easier schedule coming up but that's when the giants will take some losses.  At least it won't be Halloween amd the giants are already unwatchable like the last 10 years.

Now in ff my te finally showed a little fight lol.  Lots of ground to gain bit the season is still young Smiley

Tonight's game should be a good one.  Leaning chargers but unsure with it being in mile high.
2220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Sentiment Poll for October on: October 16, 2022, 04:28:25 PM
It's not really an eth sentiment but more a  market sentiment.  It's a sideways market right now.  I don't think October or the rest of the year will be up months.  Think we got upwards of a couple years of price constraints before it's possible to see another bull market.  But that's just me.
