2201  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Length of Time Before You Learn All These Gambling Terms Or Jargons on: June 10, 2022, 02:25:08 AM
The jargon for a specific game, e.g. poker or black jack, took me quite some time. Probably around a week? Granted I only played a few times each day, but it naturally came to me while playing. Never really tried looking for the jargon themselves and studying it though, cause if I did, it probably wouldn't even take that long. Now as for terms like "martingale" which is a strategy or a pattern to use, or any other term outside of specific games, then that took much longer since I did not even realize it exists in the first place. I used it unknowingly at one point even.

Though tbf, only jargon for specific games is rather important. Outside of those? Not really.
2202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Optimism got hit hard on: June 09, 2022, 04:22:54 PM
That's why if you're ever going to invest on a  shitcoin altcoin, then I suggest shorting it instead of expecting any long term investment. They aren't just suited for holding unlike Bitcoin, and the majority of them are either shitcoins, shitcoins, scams, or shitcoins. If you're looking for a long term investment, stop looking for new projects, just buy Bitcoin and you'd be rather happy with leaving the problem of looking and studying new projects.
2203  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: taking out a loan for a sports bet on: June 09, 2022, 12:55:39 PM
Most loans shouldn't be THAT hard to take if you have all the requirements the loan agencies set beforehand. It may change depending on the amount and may differ from agency to agency though, so that'd be different from what I have here to what you have there. At most I'd give it a week, at the very least, one or two days. That's the regular type though, as I said, it might differ if the loaning agency you visit has different rules cause of the amount you want. IF it was from a family/friend, then it might be faster really, if said people actually trust you to pay.

Wouldn't really recommend it though tbh.
2204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rakeback and promotions for limited time on: June 09, 2022, 05:45:01 AM
I ignore them most of the time. Mostly because to maximize them, it's like considering spending more on a session than what you've originally intended to do so. I mean it's fine if it's there if it's able to give me more money to play with but I don't necessarily make it a goal to actively maximize the rewards and profits you could get from it. It's a side bonus, the casino considers it as one really, we players should be able to also consider it as well imo. It's a small Rakeback in the first place most of the time anw.
2205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How has SEC contributed to the blockchain industry? on: June 09, 2022, 02:45:37 AM
They're not really doing anything to contribute imo. They're a watchdog of sorts, taking checks and the likes to see if there'd be anything that would go wrong that they could take advantage to push the crypto scene down in general. They do warn people about the risks involved in investments, but it's more like of a small pinch instead of a tight slap which leads to most newbies pretty much ignoring them which again, leads to newbie investors losing their money eventually.

2206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Profitable are Gambling Bots? on: June 08, 2022, 03:43:47 PM
Well that makes sense. They must be really that rich to ask a bot to do gamble for them while they gamble somewhere else. Most dice games today has autobet actually but have not used it ever.

I have not been interested to them but can the gambling bots be programmed to do some strategies like martingale for you?
Yes, it's actually really easy since it has a pretty simple pattern. The bots just need to be able to change the stuff that matters for the strategy and their good to go. Afaik you can even set it up with the autobets of casino themselves due to how simple it is.
If it is possible for those games then it can also be possible to almost any other games? Using bots cant make your predictions more accurate no matter what code you put in it because they will be forbidden now if that is possible. I tried them before and the results are still the same. Sometimes I win and sometimes I lose.
Bots can do it in the first place since each game has a 50/50 chance (or lower) of you winning. Chances don't get carried over to the next game and bots can't exactly influence the result no matter what. If it was possible forget about the bots, players would have used those strategies already.
2207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will governments force DEXs to comply with KYC/AML laws? on: June 08, 2022, 01:44:34 PM
Idk the idea of them asking for KYC/AML instead of educating people about the risks of investment and that said losses in investments is something natural, whether it be due to natural market movement or being rug pulled seems to be a much better idea.

Anyway if it was really forced, maybe existing ones would need to comply or close down but there would surely be DEX's out there that would pop out that would avoid or not comply at all. It'd be illegal depending on the law, but they might find a middle ground or something about the creation of the law.
2208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFT slot Machine !! on: June 08, 2022, 01:12:26 PM
In the article, it says the collection that's needed are Jungle Animal Collection and the OG Collection[1] which I think is associated from the casino itself.

Sure the concept is pretty new when it comes to slot machines, but the fact that other established casino have implemented the use of NFT's in exchange for varieties of rewards isn't new.

Oh so it's like how rollbit uses their NFT, casino users have perks and whatnot depending on the NFT they own. Nothing new there indeed, I suppose I wanted them to have something else other than that. Especially since I think NFTs from the spins would probably be less effective or has fewer benefits than the minted ones (which is natural imo). Maybe make it as a consumable type instead? Though I guess idk, that defeats the idea of an NFT?
2209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your opinions about fan tokens? I'm thinking to invest in them on: June 08, 2022, 10:33:53 AM
If you were shorting them then I guess it's fine? I mean in general, I would never recommend fan tokens as a type of investment, especially for the long term. They're more of a collectible, comparing it to an NFT as others have said isn't wrong as well imo, even if they have some usage, it wouldn't really be a real economy of sorts and it's just a sort of "to be used" kind of economy. But yea, if it's as you said, then short it, but in my case, I'd probably never try investing in it. It's not worth it (especially since I can't short for my life lmao)
2210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Luna 2.0 keeps falling on: June 08, 2022, 06:49:38 AM
Did people actually even expect anything here? A serious question. Honestly, the only people I see that would actually buy this would be people who expect themselves to be the ones to profit off of the late investors, kind of like a small-scale event of what happened to the original Luna. Kinda bizarre really how people still didn't seem to learn that this coin is dead, and any fork that comes out of it. I honestly think this Luna fiasco is what normal people see (and expect) when they hear of crypto, a big sham.
2211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can You See Or Tell If A Fight Or Event Is Fix ? on: June 07, 2022, 12:05:54 PM
We can tell if something is wrong with the judgments of the referees or players, but I think there's no actual way for us to tell whether a fight is fixed unless the players and referees come clean with it. I mean, I can always assume that the team I like that keeps getting called out has a rigged match since well, they keep getting called out, but in reality, it may just be me being blind and the team indeed made actual mistakes worth calling out. But yea, it can be easy to see if something's really wrong with the match after maybe half of the match.
2212  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you know how to trust online sportsbooks? on: June 07, 2022, 07:05:49 AM
Basic reputation ( I just look stuff up, the internet is wide so I do multiple searches and cross-reference from different sources) then I make my own judgement. Some easy to judge stuff that could improve my judgment would be how the UI looks, the License (not really a necessity but it's better if they have it imo), and basically the time difference between the time I check them out and the time they started their company. If they passed those and I got curious, I'd try them out a few weeks then make my final judgement after that.
2213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Profitable are Gambling Bots? on: June 07, 2022, 05:32:36 AM
It's not really a matter of profitable or not imo. Bots just speed up the otherwise tedious process of betting, and sometimes, someone just has THAT much money where they can't even be bothered to play THAT many games but they still want to try their luck, so there we go, bots were the answer to that. Besides, the bot still uses the same strategy/algorithm that you make them use, so it's technically them winning means that your strategy (if there even is one, and if such strategy does really make one win even) is the one your using, not really the bot.
2214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 'Luna'cy: the crash of Terra Luna on: June 06, 2022, 10:49:35 AM
It's funny how there was probably someone who took advantage of people believing in Terra recovering to ass pull them again. I know losing money when investing is something normal, but really, investing into something pumped so much believing it would still pump more is just, well, the very reason why newbie investors lose money. Start investing when it's down, not when it's at its peak, that's a one way ticket to going back to the drawing board for looking for new investments.
2215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dealing with ISP block on Gambling websites on: June 05, 2022, 01:38:07 PM
Switch ISP's or if it's a country-wide ban, switch countries use VPN but know the risks of using it first and foremost. Not to mention that when they ask KYC details about you and you were found using VPN, they might just revoke your account since afaik, the casino also has an official list of countries that have banned them so technically avoiding that ban also is against them (or their TOS, not really sure which or how to call it). Maybe double-check with your ISP first, it may have been just a connection error that was linked to that page, who knows, bugs could happen.
2216  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I buy BTC or DCA other coins? on: June 04, 2022, 05:53:44 PM
I think people need to be cautious about buying bitcoin at this time when the market is going through a dangerous phase where buyers don't know what the price difference is, if we're going to have any reversals to the upside or if it's accumulating and then it could be drop even further to levels like $20,000 to $14,000, so even if people think about doing DCA they need to be careful about this part so they don't have problems in the future. imagine that someone buys now at 29000$ and then the price drops to 20,000$ or 14000$? the right thing is to wait for the price to stay above $32000 and show signs of an uptrend reversal
But that defeats the purpose of DCA imo. Minding about the buy-in period when you're purpose is to buy for the long term kinda defeats the purpose of, well, doing it. If you were to start minding the buy period of yours, then might as well just trade it in the short term, or might as well just day trade even.
A core bitcoiner will always tell you to buy bitcoin. And that is a nice advice. The great difference between bitcoin and some altcoins is, in 5years time, we are sure to see bitcoin here, but this cannot be said for many altcoins.

In the other hand, a lover of altcoins will give you some good coins you will buy which can do x2 to x5 for you and that cannot easily be said of bitcoin. So, it all boils down to what you want.
True. Most Bitcoiners look at investment opportunities in the long term, while altcoins are more of a short term instead since majority of them are built up on hype and they die off after a few months or maybe even weeks of release. Nothing odd about it though, that's just how most of them goes.
2217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when the market is downtrend? on: June 04, 2022, 05:21:20 PM
I try to look at what I can do, or look at the positive things I can do instead of hating it. Trading itself already made me hate it whether it was a bull or bear market since most of my early days were me selling on bear seasons and buying on bull seasons. Even if I knew that what I should do is the opposite, well, fear got hold of me back then. Well that was when I was still trading daily, now that I just DCA, I still tend to look at the positive thing since I put in money when I wanted it to be not minding the season, takes a lot off my plate.
2218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Something Like This Happen To You on: June 04, 2022, 05:06:20 PM
Nothing new really. It's an average experience for your average joe who partakes in gambling regularly. And it's nothing odd either, nor is it wrong. Wanting to take back what we think was originally ours  (in reality it isn't anymore since we lost it to the casino) is a rather normal mindset, especially if we consider how this thing we think of is well, money. Sometimes it's a great experience since we're able to take it back, sometimes it's just worse than hell.
2219  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it worth buying a crypto with a value of 0.23? on: June 04, 2022, 04:06:05 PM
I mean, you've already made your judgment about the coin being with a "very high appreciation ratio", not to mention not telling us the coin itself and only leaving us with that, I don't think you even need to ask us anything, just go for it if you want to. But if you really want advice then no, I don't even think there's even a way or method for one to identify if a coin was worth it early on, we're all taking risks when investing. I'd honestly just start with Bitcoin then slowly grow out your portfolio from there.
2220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Price Up & Down is normal be patient All Crypto Holders on: June 04, 2022, 03:34:54 PM
It's normal on a volatile market and would naturally follow along early on but it wouldn't last forever, so don't assume that one can forever profit off of it. Take your time, we're only a decade in, and even if we consider how much the internet has helped in spreading and increasing Bitcoin adoption, it's still only a measly 10 years, there's still time for people to enter and take profit.

Though I don't think you can compare Dogecoin and Shiba (Probably, never really paid attention to it) to Bitcoin cause even if the scenarios were similar, the reasons for the two of them (imo) are different.
