2201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wich coin is next? on: May 22, 2019, 07:49:56 AM
So, the altcoins began to grow.
Yesterday, BSV pumped very well, it gave 100% growth in a few hours. A few days ago, I noticed that this coin was at the bottom and I wondered: will it rise in price or will not in the near future? - well, it rised, and how it rised.. damn! Which coin do you think is next? I have a few candidates right now - it's waves, bytecoin, tron and quarkchain (qkc). All these coins have not yet grown or are at the bottom, and I see in them a good potential right now. Share your thoughts..

I am sure that the great jump of BSV will not last for weeks and it will slowly wither away as this is obviously a great manipulation to show support to its joker-founder. At any rate, if are able to join the bandwagon before it exploded then great money can be made. I am not a good in prediction but I believe on TRX and of since I also have QKC I am hoping it can be part of the next exploding coins. Good luck to all of us players in the market.
2202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Ethereum Foundation Spring 2019 Update on: May 22, 2019, 07:36:46 AM

"Over the last 12 months the Ethereum community — a global collection of developers, entrepreneurs, researchers, and passionate users — has made tremendous progress. Every week, new applications built on Ethereum launch to mainnet, scalability solutions come online, and ETH 2.0 moves closer to key milestones. Ethereum remains the de-facto platform for decentralized applications, and is used every day to secure billions of dollars in digital assets."

Further Read: https://blog.ethereum.org/2019/05/21/ethereum-foundation-spring-2019-update/

This is a good read on the many updates and what can be in store for the future of Ethereum. I am one with the vision of the whole Ethereum ecosystem and in saying that indeed the future is very bright for this platform. While there can be some who are doubting the potential of Ethereum, we should know that the ecosystem is resilient, solid and definitely united in facing the many challenges, threats and opportunities today and many years to come.

What are the things that people behind Ethereum should focus on to make this platform as great as it should be?

2203  Bitcoin / Press / [2019-05-21] Ron Paul: The Dollar Is In a Bubble, Bitcoin An Alternative on: May 22, 2019, 07:23:51 AM

Former US presidential candidate and congressman Ron Paul is a regular critic of the United States Federal Reserve and of the country’s economic policy. In the past, the libertarian politician has spoken out in support of cryptocurrencies, suggesting that making the digital assets exempt from taxation could help avoid a “Fed-created recession.”

In a new interview, Paul further elaborates on how the Federal Reserve has created a bubble with the US dollar that is on the brink of a major crash, and how Bitcoin might be a suitable alternative that can alleviate the risks that government-back currencies pose to the greater global economy.

Further Read: https://www.newsbtc.com/2019/05/22/ron-paul-the-u-s-dollar-is-in-a-bubble-bitcoin-an-alternative/

Ron Paul is one of the most popular personalities in plotics and he is an ardent supporter of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency. Recently, he predicted that the problems experienced by the economy can result into a crash that is even bigger than what the country experienced in 2007-2008. He painted a clear picture where fiat currency is likened to ticking time bomb that is soon to “self destruct.”
2204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB Forecast broken and Bull run begins for BNB Hodlers on: May 22, 2019, 07:03:47 AM
BNB price is moving double the value when we compare it to the last 10 days. How much we can expect for this coin in coming days. Will this coin reach 50 USD end of this? All seems questionable but the worth will pull it over 50 USD.

I have been asking the same question: Will BNB reach the price of $50 soon? I think the way things are going, there is a big possibility for this. The overall market sentiment for BNB is quite uniquely positive...am saying that because just weeks ago Binance was hacked and while other exchanges could have brought to their knees because of what happened we have Binance here doing the exact opposite and even more. And with many plans on the horizon including the Binance Chain, I am sure there are more things positive with Binance and this strong confidence on the exchange is reflecting on BNB. The next question is: Should we just sit sideline and not get wet with BNB?
2205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could 3FA Help Enhance Crypto Security? on: May 22, 2019, 06:51:51 AM

The fight is on as to who can give the next supposedly hack-free security system that exchanges like Binance and others can use. Actually, they should have been hiring hackers from North Korea as these people are genius in cracking the codes and stealing coins/tokens from many exchanges. The reality is that hackers are always ahead of the game and no matter how hack-proof the security protocol is they can find the way to breach it. Hacking is a big business with millions at stake. I am then thinking: Can we not integrate Artificial Intelligence into the mix and make it like a guard at the portal?
2206  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A message to CSW "So I kick his balls" -Satoshi Nakamoto on: May 22, 2019, 05:22:43 AM
The crypto world never stop to amaze me, if the real Satoshi Nakamoto is behind this tweet "So I kick his balls." then it will be a great counter to what Craig is claiming of.

Especially that he already registered his whitepaper last 2009 in Belgium before it's publication. Will Craig be punished by copyfraud violations? Though 2,500$ is not that big issue for them knowing that he is famous and I'm sure that he has plenty of money in his pocket.

And the comedy continues! The most important thing here is that we are entertained with Craig Wright leading the show with some finesse of his own...and I am sure he has many more jokes under his sleeves just waiting for the right time to reveal. Craig can have all the copyright in all the world for the WhitePaper of bitcoin but he can never have the ownership of the network.

And now, here is also another man who called himself as Satoshi Nakamoto tweeting "So I kick his balls." Hope he can show the document for his registration so we can annoy more the joker Wright.

@realSatoshiN Only Heaven knows who I am, for others I am a hero, a joker, a clown. Wisdom is inside the Heart. At last, this man is honest enough to admit his great talent and that is being a joker, a clown.

2207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IEO - new ICO? what is difference? on: May 22, 2019, 05:11:05 AM

IEO and ICO can be two faces of the same coin. Now, let's delved into it and find the necessary differences and maybe some similarities as well. IEO stands for "Initial Exchange Offering" and this means basically that the crowdfunding is done inside and with the approval of the exchange. What makes IEO attractive compared to the usual ICO? Well, the tokens or coins can be readily tradable in the exchange handing the whole thing and so there is no need for the project to look for the exchange to carry the tokens. And another thing is that we are assuming that the exchange is making sure that the project is real with genuine people behind...in other words the exchange is doing its due diligence for us. Can we say that IEO is better than ICO? Yes, in some aspects but there is still no guarantee that the project will succeed after the crowdfunding stage. Remember that as this is getting to be the trend, there are many exchanges that can be bought with money and don't really care about the investors' interest. So picking up the exchange can be so critical. And maybe this is one reason why the Binance Launchpad is getting the attention of the many.
2208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Would Really Buy Facebook Coin? on: May 22, 2019, 04:44:10 AM
Im pretty sure there will be a huge numbers of supporters of facebook coin, theres a huge userbase for facebook and im pretty sure there are hundred of thousands of bitcoin or cryptocurrency user in general plus im pretty sure that facebook will get big partnerships from other platforms like wechat/instagram and many more.

Yes, of course. The way I am seeing it, Facebook will have its own coin and it can be official currency in all the social media platforms controlled by Facebook. All advertisers of these platforms will be using the coin to transact business. And this is a huge market...as Facebook is generating billions of sales annually. Then there is the possibility that Facebook will establish partnerships with other businesses and organizations. Wow, this can be a big coup for Mark and his minions. Of course, not unless something can be go wrong that result into a big disaster but knowing the kind of vision and expertise that Facebook people have the chance for success of this endeavor is absolutely so high. I am now wondering: Will this lead Mark to be the unofficial King of Cryptocurrency?
2209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day! on: May 22, 2019, 04:31:35 AM
It's wonderful to see how small things can change with days. Smiley

I'll pay 10,000 bitcoins for a couple of pizzas.. like maybe 2 large ones so I have some left over for the next day.
ender_x >> 10,000... Thats quite a bit.. you could sell those on https://www.bitcoinmarket.com/ for $41USD right now..
laszlo >> So nobody wants to buy me pizza?  Is the bitcoin amount I'm offering too low?
laszlo>> I just want to report that I successfully traded 10,000 bitcoins for pizza.

10,000BTC was equivalent to 41$, (a couple of pizzas,) today many dreams come true.

I saw the 60 Minutes segment with the guy who spent 10,000 BTC, and he says he is not upset that he spent it. Actually, he lives in a nice home and has a nice standard of living. I believe Satoshi sent him that amount based on his contributions to the nascent network. According to today's valuation, that would be worth about $800 million.

There's no regret here since Laszlo is now part of bitcoin history and there is even a special day given in honor of that very historical transaction. Of course, the regret I think is on people like us thinking that we could have been a millionaire already if we were in the shoes of the man. The thing is that nobody can really be sure of the future and that time only a few had the vision enough to see that bitcoin can go as high as today. Remember that bitcoin started as a simple idea with no assurance that it can catch the attention and fancy of this generation and be the symbol of our displeasure with the traditional financial system. Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day, everyone!

2210  Bitcoin / Press / [2019-05-21] Analysts: BTC Likely to Surge Past $9,000 on: May 22, 2019, 04:20:09 AM

At the time of writing Bitcoin is trading up nearly 2% at its current price of $7,950, up from its daily lows of $7,700. Analysts now believe that Bitcoin is likely to surge into the $9,000 region in the near-future, which may be sparked as soon as BTC surges past its current resistance level around $8,200.

Currently, the next level of resistance that BTC must surge above exists around $8,200, and if this level is broken, the cryptocurrency may surge to fresh year-to-date highs around $9,300.

Further Read: https://www.newsbtc.com/2019/05/21/analysts-believe-bitcoin-is-likely-to-surge-past-9000-in-near-future-as-upwards-momentum-builds/

Bitcoin is now steadily playing within the $7,900 - $8,000 level for days and we are asking if the next move can be to go back to $7,000 or maybe surge into the $9,000 level. The overall sentiment of the market seems to be favoring the latter as if bitcoin is just resting a little and gathering the energy it needs for the next round of surge. Do you believe on this analysis or you see something else?

2211  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-21] Bitfinex Argues Why Judge Should Dismiss NYAG Case in Latest Case on: May 22, 2019, 04:09:17 AM

This is getting interesting as the Bitfinex and Tether saga continues in the court. While I am not for the tendency of those in the government to overstretch its power and jurisdiction, I am for the trial of this cryptocurrency exchange for the sake of getting the bottom of the things that transpired beyond the eyes of the public. There are many questions that Bitfinex has to answer and they got to clear their name and reputation so we can continue on bestowing our trust and confidence on their business operation. I am sure that soon Bitfinex can win on this case and I am hoping that they learned enough lessons on this mess. The thing is that no one is above the law and one should always be transparent otherwise you are just causing the rust to eat into you.
2212  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-21] Argentina: Bitcoin Bought at $20K Retained More Value Than the Peso on: May 22, 2019, 03:56:31 AM
Bitcoin’s value in relation to the Argentinian peso and Bitcoin’s trading volumes are reaching all-time highs.

https://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-argentina-store-of-value-outperformed-peso/

I really cannot understand why Argentina's economy shrinks due to inflation. What is the reason for that? It is one of the richest countries in South America but still they struggle. For all these years and the many more to come Bitcoin will be a good choice over local fiat currencies.

I am not so familiar with the Argentinian economy and politics but it seems that the country's troubles are now in the mainstream media's radar alongside Venezuela. I see that one factor for this is that tendency to go for easy fix for perennial problems that affected the whole economy...those solutions can be popular and can be effective short-term but over some years the side effects will be haunting the country. The country has all the needed resources that can be utilized for recovery all they need are good leaders who have the vision and the political will to make things happen. Argentina should never allow to get into the low level of Venezuela as it can be a big disaster. And may all other Latin countries learned the many big lessons here. Right now, many people are abandoning their own national currency in favor of the dollar and bitcoin.
2213  Economy / Economics / Re: Securitization and tokenization on: May 21, 2019, 03:43:48 PM

I read the article and I must admit that things can get confusing at times as I am not an economist nor a financial analyst and then not have given enough time to examine this topic. In the light of the blockchain and cryptocurrency movement, we are more familiar with tokenization and it is broadly defined as "the process of converting assets into digital tokens on a blockchain" and that we can now easily understand as we are exposed to so many tokens in our midst. Securitization is quite a different beast though this can still be related somehow to tokenization. "Securitization is about repackaging mortgages and other assets and making very liquid and attractive financial instruments." In applications, banks can do business combining home loans and then selling them to investors as securities.
2214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn't scammers a huge stopper to the internet (Bitcoin) on: May 21, 2019, 03:16:30 PM
Since internet discovery and the anonymity it provided scams started popping everywhere on the web and became something that we are used to and encounter more often than we would notice, with time we became more aware and started watching our step to avoid them as we noticed with soreness that there is nothing one can about it by itself, but here we are, cryptocurrencies got created and spread on the web easing people's life with its smooth and useful features and here we are again riding the same wave the scammer but this time there is big at stake, as this could prevent a whole industry to blossom and reach it real potential, if we look at it having in mind the perspective that crypto is bond with the internet then there will be really big challenge to make this place more secure where even the naive one could carry on with their business, in fact if cryptocurrency would need to attract more people in order to reach mass adoption and maybe become worldwide (while still prioritizing its values in that case decentralization among others), it will be a requirement to have a secure place, but challenges are made to be taken and maybe cryptocurrency will bring solutions for old issue like scams.

First and foremost, we have to understand that scams, frauds and deceptions can be happening to any industry and definitely this is not an exclusive issue with the world of cryptocurrency. There had been so many financial frauds in the modern human history and there were even involving banks and financial institutions to the detriment of their many victims. Now, scams and frauds became easier and even went global with the coming of the internet and then now with cryptocurrency.

Yes, this is a big issue that the whole industry should be concerned about. However, there is nothing we can do with individuals who opted that their calling in life is to fool other people and their fat wallets. So is there is something we can do individually? Yes, we can start to be smarter so that we don't become another victim of these evil people. In 2017, ICOs became so popular and since the market is decentralized it became the venue for many scammers to sell their projects and then just fly away. Now, as part of the response to maybe minimize the problem, we now see STOs and IEOs which are considered to be better though not yet a big guarantee that scams will never happen. Sadly, we can never do away with scams completely.

2215  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Real Satoshi killed by US Govt - replaced by Craig S. Wright on: May 21, 2019, 02:55:01 PM
I they cannot control Bitcoin or crypto in general, they kill it's creator and replace them with a fraud operating with the US govt.
Now he ( the us govt) can claim copyrights of crypto and blockchain technology. What implications would this have? Collaboration with the US govt, higher transaction fees ? Disowning of BTC, blockchain copyright, alt coins banning?

Welcome to the world of conspiracy theories! And why not, if you can't stop bitcoin then get someone who is a certified fraud to claim to be the real Nakamoto Satoshi and work with the man, letting him get the copyright for the bitcoin whitepaper and then cooperate with each other so that whatever you have in mind can possibly come true. Okay, I am just being carried here away. Maybe we should always remember that nobody owns bitcoin much more the people from the government who could not even understand how cryptocurrency works.
2216  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright recognised by US Govt as Satoshi, author of white paper on: May 21, 2019, 02:46:31 PM

Quote
implications for Bitcoin?

Implication of this development for bitcoin? I say: NOTHING! The WhitePaper is a piece of document but it has no power whatsoever to affect the platform which can be based on that WhitePaper because it is not a sort of a land title which can convey ownership and inherent rights into something. In fact, bitcoin is an open source and anybody can copy and modify  it anytime. So let us allow Craig Wright to do whatever he wanted to do with that document which can print and swallow with all of his desire. Fool!
2217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC and Gold? on: May 21, 2019, 02:39:33 PM

The comparison between gold and bitcoin has been discussed a lot of times and I am sure this will a topic of many for many years to come most especially if bitcoin can be reaching more than $100K and beyond. This in fact resulted into classifying the real gold as the physical gold and bitcoin as the digital gold. Of course, there are similarities and there are differences. To me, both are valuable and both can be good investment tools. In times of crisis or problems, gold can be the safe haven and the same thing can be said of bitcoin as well. People who have the money to invest are advised to go for both type of gold...the tangible one and the other which is digital.
2218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you like to setup your own crypto exchange if upfront costs are low? on: May 21, 2019, 02:13:44 PM
Its not just the marketing skills that you would need in managing an exchanges, its a constant battle for the hackers who are going to take your funds. Think about it, if binance which has a big team team of technical guys weren't able to protect 247 of the security of their exchange. For a new comer in the business, you'd have to under go so much problems with it. But I'd like to set up my own, if I have to be part of the good team with experience.

There is a big money to be made doing the cryptocurrency exchange business but this business is not for the fainthearted as we know that any exchange can be subject to constant attack and when they can find your weakness soon you can be dead. Unless of course you are as good as Binance. Then, of course, there is the nightmare of customer and technical support and that means that if you don't have good and able guys running the business you may not be able to sleep even 5 hours a day! However, we know that the big potential is really there. I am now looking at a model where the users are also the owners...this can be a good idea to pursue.
2219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / CZ Binance Proud of Binance Launchpad Roster of Winners on: May 21, 2019, 02:00:33 PM

The top honcho of Binance is very much proud of the current records of its Binance Launchpad seemingly telling the market that it is really on the top of the game and that there will be more to come. So what are the projects so far that delighted the market under the platform of Binance? We are talking here of BitTorrent, Fetch, Celer, Matic and the ongoing Harmony.

As the top cryptocurrency exchange and after successfully getting away from the recent hack, Binance is definitely a big winner on its own right. Can we then say that Binance has a very good and trained eye on potential winners in an industry littered with scams and failures?
2220  Bitcoin / Press / [2019-05-21] Déjà Vu? BTC $20K, 13 Days After it Last Closed $8,300 on: May 21, 2019, 01:43:48 PM

Year-to-date, the bitcoin price has surged by 113 percent in a stunning recovery, achieving $8,000 in merely six months after plunging to $3,150 in December 2018. As said by Thomas Lee, a co-founder at Fundstrat Global, bitcoin has historically tended to record most of its gains in a short time frame, typically in a 10-day window, unlike traditional assets and asset classes.

According to cryptocurrency researcher Alex Saunders, the last time the bitcoin price closed above $8,300, it took 13 days to achieve a new all-time high at $20,000.

Source: https://www.ccn.com/analyst-last-time-bitcoin-closed-8300-13-days-to-reach-20k

Analysts are now looking at the 2017 bull run if there can be some patterns and similarities. Just imagine, it just took 13 days for bitcoin to get into $20,000 level after breaching the $8,300 but this was in 2017. Now, they are asking if the same pattern will be traced by bitcoin. In my opinion, I think bitcoin is different this time. Aside from bitcoin getting mature, the market is quite different today and I am sure there are also variations in the people playing in the market. Personally, I prefer a slow but steadily rising bitcoin rather than an abrupt rise and then a fast fall.
