FIREMINE, MINECO, and ALTSWAP exceptionally high scam-probability.  Avoid at all costs!!
2222  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN]{*EXCHANGE*} AltSwap - Cryptocurrency Exchange + Escrow [INVEST NOW!] on: March 06, 2014, 09:04:19 PM
There is a 0.005 BTC fee that the owner of shares (yes, that is the person you purchased them from - not you) must pay for every upgrade you make. Please read on Cryptostocks website about this.
Right, my point is...if they can't even cover a simple 0.005 to transfer a single share (yes, I have enough to cover my 0.01 part as well) then how in hades are they expecting to run a legitimate BTC asset?  Or three?!  imho it's looking like they aren't...definitely smells scammy

*I have tried to transfer a single share several times over the past 3 days and not once has the owner of the asset had 0.005 to cover the transfer costs?!?!  Just the dividends he or she hasn't been paying out these past couple of days should be enough to cover that.
2223  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN]{*EXCHANGE*} AltSwap - Cryptocurrency Exchange + Escrow [INVEST NOW!] on: March 06, 2014, 08:49:08 PM
Just got a PM response from firemine/mineco owner regarding why I can't transfer my shares.  Here was his response:

There is a fee involved on our end to transfer your shares so we are continuously putting money into our account to be able to handle the upgrades.

*This makes 0-sense, my recommendation is that you avoid firemine, mineco, and altswap until these things get resolved one way or another.  Altswap share multiplication also hasn't happened.  All three definately looking very scammish at this point.

**Just tried to transfer a single share of firemine, and got same error message.  Ask your self this:
"If the owner of firemine/mineco is unable to cover fee's required to upgrade a single share...do you really think he's going to payout regular dividends or run anything even remotely resembling a well run business?  I think not!!"

Same here.  Was hoping to order a couple of these bad boys but definitely going to be putting that on hold till I hear something regarding my existing order.

*It does makes me feel a little better to know that Unacceptable seems to have trust in this fella though I have to say.
2225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is SCHARMBECK Shutting Down? on: March 06, 2014, 10:41:14 AM
I may be the only guy on here who held on to his scharmbeck shares but they just paid a paltry dividend, no announcement.

So. . . yay for bagholders, I guess?
Yay!!  Guess I wasn't alone in my steadfast loyalty...not much to be said for our resulting bottom lines though eh?

2227  Economy / Securities / Re: WARNING Cryptostocks.com INVESTORS SECURITY FLAW on: March 06, 2014, 09:46:34 AM
What the hell is going on.  It's obvious at this point that FIREMINE/ALTSWAP/MINECO/maybe others?  Are a SCAM!!!  This "hack" has nothing to do with cryptostocks, altswap is just trying to rip all of us off by dumping all the shares they have to clean up the order books and abscond with the money.  They even went so far as to issue 100000 more altswap shares to clear the really low buy orders out.  What is more absurd is that their mineco is still listed, and being traded!  All of these listings have the same owner "info@altswap.com".  This is freaking absurd.  Why hasn't cryptostocks come here to a) Refute claims that they are easily hacked and b) Warn traders about this OBVIOUS SCAM!?!?

After seeing this thread I lost 0.12 BTC to altswap assuming they were acting in good faith.  Had cryptostocks been paying any damned attention to how altswap is manipulating their system, they would have halted trading on these SCAM stocks immediately and refunded as many traders as they could out of ALTSWAP's account balance.

Scammers will be scammers, but cryptostocks.com making no attempt at all to monitor and resolve this situation makes me extremely weary of their service.
Could not agree with this gentleman more.  Obvious firemine, mineco, and altswap are a singular scam effort at this point.  These are only a few in a long-line of scam-shares that have been posted on CS.  The fact that the CS admin can lead one to only one of two conclusions:
1.) Some sort of obvious kick-back in the aftermath of each scam
2.) Admin is earning so much with transaction fee's he figures, if it ain't broke (insofar as to what it earns me) why fix it?

2228  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN]{*EXCHANGE*} AltSwap - Cryptocurrency Exchange + Escrow [INVEST NOW!] on: March 06, 2014, 08:53:55 AM
The leadership team is talking this over and we are figuring out the best way to go about handling the stock issue. We will be doing a soft launch to test traffic control on the server and the system with just BTC/LTC soon so be on the lookout for that.

I'll be sending out both an email and forum notification for both of the things listed above.

Well heck...if the "leadership team" is taking over everything is sure to be fine right?

Look, avoid Altswap, firemine, and mineco.  From what I can see, they all appear to be a scam.  Have been unable to transfer existing shares to mineco from firemine from sometime.  And highly suspect behavior going on around all 3 assets imho.
2229  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE 700 TH/s or 8.68 GH/s per share on: March 06, 2014, 06:01:10 AM
Given the relatively 0-content update I'm really not too surprised that the share price is dropping.  I suspect it will continue to do so until people actually see some new hash coming "on the line".  :p
2230  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN]{*EXCHANGE*} AltSwap - Cryptocurrency Exchange + Escrow [INVEST NOW!] on: March 06, 2014, 05:38:29 AM
yo i cant trade in my shares because "the project owner has insufficient funds". wtf is this?

Yeah, this is smelling more and more like a scam with every passing day.  I too am still receiving this error...and obviously not collecting mineco dividends.

*Be very leary of anything relating to this asset/stock.  Altswap included.  Looks like a trifecta scam at this point.
2231  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How soon before we see Mark Karpeles in court? on: March 05, 2014, 10:32:00 PM
The sad reality is people like Karpeles rarely go to jail.  And even if they do, it will be a proverbial slap on the wrist.  More than likely if Karpeles finds it unbearable to remain in Japan or his native homeland that he will probably end up sipping a latte on some beach in Cyprus.
2232  Economy / Securities / Re: [Cryptostocks]FIREMINE another listing that seems to have taken 5 min to make on: March 05, 2014, 10:24:52 PM
Confirmed.  I too just tried upgrading my existing shares to mineco and got the same error message.  This is definitely smelling fishy.

**I've sent e-mails to both firemine/altswap/mineco/and who knows what else owner...as well as crypto::stocks admin.  Neither has responded back Sad
2233  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Antminer - S1 u$s 750! - Bitmain Distributor for USA - 112bit.com on: March 05, 2014, 09:04:43 PM
Just sent payment for S1.  Apparently the shopping cart is kind of messed up.  Could you please verify receipt of payment?

txid: d05065c56a4e13d761595b614e777bc154f7a3d4e737b0af63ccf14e82289860

1.17880258 BTC (sent)

*Edit: just tried calling the toll-free # listed at the bottom of the website and no answer.  No VM or anything.  Hoping I didn't just send my BTC to some huge nullish void.  :/

**Now sitting at 6 confirmations and still no receipt of payment e-mail Sad
2234  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Antminer - S1 u$s 750! - Bitmain Distributor for USA - 112bit.com on: March 05, 2014, 10:53:19 AM
Thinking about giving one of these S1's a go.  Are you using Bitstamp as your exchange rate when converting unit price from fiat to BTC?

*edit: just tried to purchase one through the website cited in OP but appears to be a problem with the shopping cart.  After I add an S1 and proceed to checkout, when I try to pay with BTC it indicates that my cart is empty!  :/
2235  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cryptostocks - BTC,DVC,LTC denominated Stock Exchange/Crowdfunding Platform on: March 05, 2014, 08:59:07 AM
Don't seem to be able to transfer held FIREMINE shares over to MINECO?!  Anybody else having this issue?
2236  Economy / Securities / Re: [Cryptostocks]FIREMINE another listing that seems to have taken 5 min to make on: March 05, 2014, 08:48:07 AM
Really starting to lose confidence here in both altswap and firemine.  Recently noticed I was sending e-mails to exact same address in both cases.  Glad I've gotten burned so many times in the past, prevented me from putting too much into either one.

*This entire share transfer from FIREMINE to MINECO also appears to be bogus.  I currently have 4 shares of FIREMINE, can see the transfer tab, but am not given the option to actually transfer the shares and pay 0.01/fee/share
2237  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE 700 TH/s or 8.68 GH/s per share on: March 02, 2014, 09:46:21 PM
Kind of curious as to what the NMC breakdown for last dividend payment was.  Didn't see any mention of it earlier.

Dividends paid: BTC0.00000172/share

Explanation: I've decided to liquidate the fund's AsicMiner position. I'd like to start diversifying the fund's exposure to different aspects of the Bitcoin economy. I'll be submitting a vote to shareholders to decide which company the fund should start buying shares in next. My thoughts are NEOBEE on Havelock, PETA on Havelock,  and KINETICS on Cryptostocks.

I'm still bullish on Cognitive Mining (Havelock: COG) and want to increase the fund's position in this security. The steady cash flows of mining companies are attractive. However, I am only interested in mining companies that retain a large percentage of mining profits (>50%) to continually reinvest in new hardware to maintain a steady yield. This requires increasing hashrate as the difficulty of the network increases. Diversification into different alt-coins is key too. Cognitive has begun to diversify some of their hardware to mine Scrypt based coins based on their profitability of the coins as measured by the BTC exchange rate.

Eyes to the Horizon: I will be creating a dedicated wallet in which all dividends paid on fund's shares will be held. This will increase transparency for investors. If anyone has any suggestions on which wallet service is most secure for this, please feel free to comment.
