1301  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: July 17, 2014, 08:02:50 PM
Whoo hooo.  Just entered payment details and looking forward to this months payout so I can see if at least some small part of my earnings contain any lucky satoshi's Smiley

Real nice native-american sort of circle of life thing going on with those of us trying our luck on primedice with earnings we've earned from the sig. campaign Wink
1302  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - 1,150 TH/S HASH RATE (1GH/S per Unit) on: July 16, 2014, 06:36:21 PM
Its also time for cryptx to get their machines pointed at p2pool, 7day luck/141.4% 30 day luck/131.9% 90 day luck/106.2% p2pool.info
P2pool is finally back on the right side of the earnings variance. We are missing out on quite a bit of earnings atm. Did someone email cryptx how to get the bitfury hardware working on p2pool? Wasn't it a pretty simple fix?
They must know about it by now. I'm guessing they want to be 100% sure about that fix before moving.
But yea, they should at least give everybody an update on the matter.
Agreed.  For chrissakes cryptx, just take a single freakin unit and verify the p2pool fix will work will ya?

*Also, what's the deal with all the IXC, DVC, and NMC that has been mined at ghash.io for these past several months?  Where those coins converted to BTC and reflected in dividends paid out or are they just sitting there on your ghash.io wallets?
1303  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] PETAMINE - 1,150 TH/S HASH RATE (1GH/S per Unit) on: July 16, 2014, 04:34:47 PM
0.00001684 BTC/share today. Going down...
Well on our road to zero that's for sure.  Only going to get worse from here sadly.

Interesting to note that daily dividend and hosting/admin costs are no longer being published by CryptX team that I could find.  I know it's 7X the amount of work as before given payouts have gone from Daily to Weekly but given how much cryptx is earning of his hosting fee's I find it curious he can't either pay somebody or take 15 minutes out of the day to publish daily hosting/admin costs along with total dividends paid out.

Has anybody run the numbers comparing BTC mined at public address vs. what is actually getting paid out to see if they are still inline with previous weekly figures?
1304  Economy / Securities / Re: CoinReturn - Discussion of Current Issues and Possible Future Actions on: July 16, 2014, 05:44:07 AM
Now that we know that the "Thomas Mica ID " is fake, the only chance we probably have to  id the promoters of  CoinReturn is  to have the domain owners privacy protection lifted. To do this, one would normally need something like a police report, which could be obtained with someone filing a fraud case with the police and obtaining a report of the filling to send to the registrar of the domain. or  more expensively getting a lawyer to get a court ruling that can be sent to the registrar to lift the privacy protection. The registrar for the domain coinreturn.me is PublicDomainregisty.com. Their contact would be abuse@publicdomainregistry.com.

I am still a bit dumbfounded to find that SamboNz would accept the ID posted and announce tha he has seen Tom Mica's ID, when most of the info that can confirm his ID is redacted and the only one visible, his home address, can be easily checked with a reverse address search on whitepages.com, which indicates the house is occupied by a different person (a couple  in this case). I believe a cautioned statement that some parts of the ID was redacted would have been appropriate, so others without access to the ID don't  think the promoters had nothing to hide and were willing to give identifiable info to a trusted member.

So anybody actually considering filing a fraud report against this worthless schmuck?
1305  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POT] PotCoin Launches Today 01/21 @ 4:20 on: July 16, 2014, 02:46:14 AM
The thought often runs through my mind, about the functionality of potcoin in the future. That is what adds to the speculative nature of crypto in general. I think we will eventually be seeing a Visa coin and an AmEx coin. I think the major players will eventually swoop in as it could drastically lower the cost of doing business for them. Just a matter of figuring it all out, but that is a number of years away from here. Potcoin has a future. There are a lot of vendors accepting the coin, more and more each day. We also seem to get a decent amount of press coverage for a crypto that isn't btc. Will potcoin grow to btc status, i don't think 600 a coin is what anyone should expect.

Can we get the op updated with the new halving schedule, please  Kiss
Seriously doubt there will ever be any sort of officially sanctioned AmexCoin or VisaCoin ever and if there is it certainly won't be open-source.  So decentralization would be at the top of my list insofar as potcoin functionality not provided by either of those two unlikely candidates.  That being said, it would be nice to see some sort of privacy-centric based features incorporated into potcoin.

Well it certainly wouldn't be open source. They have the systems in place, but perhaps you are correct. They wouldn't need a coin, they would just use what ever monetary systems that are already in place. They most likely aren't looking to run a currency. Proof of work might be what they would consider, but having a coin out for the public, i do think you are correct, most likely not going to happen.

What type of privacy based features would you be interested in? I wouldn't be too crazy for any type of centralized nodes approach, but maybe a simple mixing service? Which privacy-centric features are currently working the way they should and would not erode the stability of the coin? It is am important thing to consider. I don't care about the privacy aspect much at all, even less if it damages the coin.
Agreed.  Insofar as privacy centric features, perhaps some sort of built-in coin-mixing tech. that's optional and perhaps charges a slightly higher transaction fee for maintaining anonymity.  Seems as though if privacy-centric options where desired all that much a nominal charge for the service wouldn't be all that unreasonable.  Additionally I suspect it would be less likely to hurt the coins long-term viability at all.

Bear in mind I'm just spit-balling a few ideas here and honestly not all that familiar with the inner-workings of potcoin atm (kinda lazy, but as I acquire a few more coins I suspect I'll get more and more likely to romance the inner workings of this coin for my own benefit if nothing else) Smiley

Just curious.  Is anybody else here getting hung up under the [Balances] tab?  Got a constant-spinner running where the balances for my coins should show which ultimately needs to no interactive chat window so can't bring it to anybody's attention either :/
1307  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: PMBITCOIN.COM SCAM ME on: July 15, 2014, 11:22:22 PM
I see that pmbitcoin's profile is a Newbie account with only a single post.  Unfortunately there is probably not a lot you can do at this point other than post negative feedback to his profile and make people aware of the scam (post proof, screenshots, etc.) like previous fella mentioned so others can also avoid con-artists.

1309  Economy / Securities / Re: [CRYPTOSTOCKS] Project Reviews on: July 15, 2014, 11:04:27 PM
Just thought I would chime in here on quintobtc.  Had a brief PM conversation with Steven (owner) which left me one very unhappy camper.  I cannot in good conscience recommend anybody invest in quinto presently.  Thus far I've literally invested ~2.38BTC into this project and currently my shares are worth ~0.03btc.  Dividends thus far too date have been virtually non-existent.  Didn't have a very good feeling about the 2 dozen or so "special offers" he seemed to keep making (smacks of desperation).  When I posed these concerns to him in PM's he indicated that current share price was as a result of shareholders panic selling blah blah blah, but not too worry because now we have a whole new fresh batch of investors that have gotten in on the cheap.  This says alot regarding his attitude towards existing shareholders that have been invested in quinto since it's initial listing on CS.  Additionally I really didn't appreciate it when he doubted my investment to date in his listing and then found out he doesn't even have the ability through CS to see which shareholders purchased shares and at what price.

*Come to think of it, given Kumala's seeming indifference to the countless scam's that haven't been properly vetted on CS I honestly can't recommend anybody use CS for any asset at this point...though there do seem to be a few legitimate ones (very few) listed that I can tell.

**Long and short: Proceed with caution if considering investing in anything listed on crypto::stocks, and seriously think twice before you decide to invest in QuintoBTC.

Best regards.
Are you referring to the announcement made on CS on the 2nd or is there a more recent update?

1312  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Selling my Crypto Cheerleader .01 BTC on: July 15, 2014, 06:53:51 PM
If your only out to make a quick buck I suppose this is a way to do it, but I would encourage you to use your skills to try and develop something that is actually of some benefit to somebody.  These cheerleading bot's are annoying to us carbon-based traders.

It sounds like they are assembling their own boards and will just 'solder in the ASICs' when they get here. Good luck with that if they are BGA or QFN packages … or maybe they have an Infra Red Vapor Phase Reflow Oven in a Clean Room in the garden shed behind their place at 66 Dickenson Road, Moss Side ?

lmfao...sure they do!  And I'm the King of Sudan or at least I play one on TV

Best-case shipping date was July? Oh on the contrary, for day 1 people the best case was May/June, with a guaranteed-by of July.

My, how things shift. And I believe the others are correct, they'll likely be aiming for late August shipping. This goes back to what was discussed awhile back, they likely ran low on funds, and need the remaining funds to buy chips (either theirs from Drexel who claims they have no business with AT, or someone elses' chips) and then setup hardware to use the chips.

I would hope they already have all of the supporting equipment designed an in-house .... but why wouldn't they post about it if they did? Good luck to anyone stupid/brave enough to complete their orders, hopefully you get your gear.

And bumface, AT did this to themselves. Nobody could possibly harm them more than they did already. You can't possibly do more damage to a company who has shoved its crotch in the face of its customers and cursed them out, and then banned many of them (some who were just asking simple questions about how to complete payment) from the customer-service forum.

all im saying is, its too early to know for sure whats going on, and reporting them to agencys must be viewed as a last resort when we are 100% sure its a scam, that word is used way to loosely in this crypto scene. a delay is not a scam.a scam is a criminal endeavour where no product ever existed.i still give them the benefit of the doubt.and maybe i just refuse to loose the investment ^_^
Granted, still a bit early to call Alpha-t an outright scam...but certainly not too early to label this what it is:
An outright fail.

Given that they don't even have a functional prototype to show and chips haven't even tapped out yet, we will be lucky to see these units by the end of September at this point at which point they will literally be near-worthless.  I suspect most of us will be lucky to recoup 30-35% of our original investments into this hardware even if we manage to keep them running for 4-6 months (which is unlikely unless you have free electricity).
1316  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - innovative professional cryptocurrency cloud mining service on: July 15, 2014, 06:23:30 PM
Since yesterday my SHA hashrate has been way down.  I thought it was my rig (S2) and started tweaking things, but when nothing fixed it I reverted to what I had and tried another pool (multipool.us) ... with the exact same settings I get ~1116 Gh/s on multipool, and about 976 Gh/s on Nicehash ... prior to yesterday I'd get ~1.1 Th/s on Nicehash with those settings ... not sure what's up ... anyone else experiencing anything similar?  Is it related to the DDOS?
I know there was a recent DDOS on nicehash but I'm currently showing ~750GH on sha256 and all appears well (for the moment anyway).  Profitability for sha256 kind of in the proverbial crappa for sha256 on nicehash atm though :/
1317  Economy / Auctions / Re: Domain: PremiumBitco.in [Auction] Starts @ $1 USD on: July 15, 2014, 02:41:24 AM
Yeah... I'm not sure for this one.  The start price is $1 but the min. Bid increasement is $310???

I'll have a shot at it anyways, I bid $1,
Hopefully the OP can clear sole of this up.
My guess is he probably didn't mean to put BTC after the 0.5, if he did this whole auction stinks to high heaven!

Confirming receipt of refund.  This one is officially going down in my "hell ya I actually made something at bitcoin" books which of course are far outweighed by my "shit I got goxxed" book(s).

Sorry to see the raffle cancelled as I was feeling particularly lucky (being the only one that participated might've had something to do with this) :p
