Well you do live in Europe and pay a metric shit ton for electricity. I live in California, which is quite expensive for electricity in the US, and I pay a bit more than half that rate.

wow 10th/s network hashrate..
Seems like there is quite a bit of interest in DCR...hashrate keeps climbing. It's almost the most profitable coin to mine, and now that there is the dualminer with ETH, which is the most profitable coin to mine, it makes sense that hashrate would rise. I wouldn't necessarily expect price to rise though, more likely to drop as farms and stuff dual-mine and dump.

Ofc because no-one needs or trades it. less than a BTC vol per day.
You noticed very good!
Yes sadly though MYR did a lot of great things it seems to have disappeared into oblivion. I think it still being developed though. It's definitely still being developed. It was upgraded to Bitcoin 0.11.2 codebase recently. I wouldn't say it's disappeared into oblivion at all; it's #38 on coingecko, ahead of clams, shadowcash, and anoncoin. Yea, the marketcap is a bit low, but as coingecko reflects the community is still quite active, and it's one of the few "acceptably mined" cryptos according to devtome: http://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=a_massive_investigation_of_instamines_and_fastmines_for_the_top_alt_coinsIt's also traded on the new bitsquare app that's just released as well.

Do you have ghost pepper or California Reaper seeds/peppers/seeds for sale? I see them all over but it's hard to find someone that accepts BTC. I'm looking to burn the crap out of my entire face if possible I ordered some of the red rage sauce (and some other stuff), and eat lots of spicy food, but sweet cheesus it burned the crap out of my entire face. A little pricey, but if you get a coupon or something definitely worth trying if you wish for face immolation.

there's no way I'll ever give a 3rd party my private keys for whatever reason.
can't believe there is not a standalone wallet for PC, Linus or Mac..WTF! This online wallet stuff is pureBS How the f*** do these ladies in Africa use the currency?!? It's all bs, re: the non-profit aspect to save the world. Their first facebook giveaway is recorded on youtube being scammed by lots of people with thousands of accounts, and now they're trying to force people to link their facebook profiles to their public bitcoin addresses at the moment, probably so they can sell the data to someone. They're registered as a non-profit in Delaware, which basically means that they don't have to do anything special or account for what they're spending their revenue on. So yea, if you want to associate your facebook profile with a btc address, and help perpetuate their 100% premined scamcoin, by all means, sign up for the giveaway.

There are many ways one could implement messaging, but I don't favor storing p2p messages on the blockchain itself. ...
I haven't really looked into it, but I was under the impression that the messaging feature of duckdarkdigitalnote just used the mempool for transmitting the message, and then after a few days it fell out due to not enough fee or something (I thought you didn't have to pay a fee to message), kind of like bitmessage or something. Nevermind, I just opened the wallet and you definitely have to pay a fee to send a message, so I guess it is stored in the blockchain. Yeah it goes in the tx_extra field like the payment ID. Do clients at the moment relay txs with no or too low fee, and miners just won't include them in a block? I'm guessing no, but just curious if it would be possible to communicate via mempool without including things in blocks.

Afaik BURST is the only one that mines using your hard drive. There's also Sia and Storj that let you rent hd space for file sharing, not sure if Storj us live yet tho.

... Everyone had a fair chance to mine this. Just because a lot of people could not figure out how to do it, does not mean they could not have with a little work. All it took was reading the thread.
Didn't the dev(s) basically admit that the whole reason they relaunched was because they were unsuccessful in instamining to the degree that they intended to avoid an IPO (for legal reasons)? You can argue the semantics of "premine", "instamine", and "fair", but at least to me it seems shady af and I wouldn't touch it with a 33.5 foot pole, especially given the duplicitous nature of the all-caps "NO PREMINE | NO INSTAMINE" thread title.

... Thank you for your helpful answer. I'll start to look into all that tomorrow but I'll definitely PM you during the week end with my questions Can I find the unitus conf file in the p2pool documentation or does someone have one for me so I can compare with mine ? Here's a short guide I made a while ago: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1121974.msg12323394#msg12323394Here's my unitus.conf file in data directory (obviously set your own user and pw, not ***): rpcuser=*** rpcpassword=*** server=1 rpcport=50550 algo=qubit rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcconnect=127.0.0.1 rpcallowip=192.168.10.* rpcconnect=192.168.10.*
