* jwinterm not sure what's happening... Need to get XDN on some other exchange(s). I'm not using polo anymore since verification thing, and wouldn't trust hitbtc with more than a dollar or two Not trying to pry into your affairs, but what is your hinderance of using polo because of verification? For level 1 verification, all they require is a First and Last name and the country of residence. This isnt really verification as they dont really verify anything at all. Level one allows full exchange and margin trading and a daily 2k USD withdraw limit. I dunno, more just the principle of it. It left a bad taste in my mouth how they sprung it on everyone with 48 hours notice. Also, I've heard anecdotally that if you use a blatantly false name (Bugs Bunny or something), then they will lock your account, so I guess they verify something.

I think over the next 12 months we need to make a move to divorce the primary Monero rate from BTC/XMR to USD/XMR. In time the goal is for Monero movements to be independent of bitcoin's, so we need to slowly adopt the mindset of Monero not being tied to Bitcoin price.
Why USD, not euro or GBP or yuan or yen or...BTC? Why does it need to be tied to anything?

How long until block reward halving and how many coins are mined by now?
Looks like no halving: http://huntercoin.org/information/features/10 coins per block at ~block 740000 makes ~7.4M coins mined so far. It says in the info 42M total coins, which would be about 8 years from launch. It's not clear what happens after 8 years though...game over?

blah blah blah...
I do still thank you for bringing so much attention to me and what I'm doing. Because you do realize, that when people see this, if they actually read all of this, they're going to do research (I know you don't do it, but most people with a brain do) and they're going to find out about what I do. So for that, I thank you.
okay now, bye bye then.
Sorry crowetic, but I don't think it's simple. I like BURST, I've already done my research, but if you associate with scumbags (and clearly bobsurplus and guerbuez are scumbags), then you're not doing yourself or the thing that you're trying to promote any favors, imo. Guerbuez is a spammer who has an almost $1B judgment against him for pushing penis enlargement pills (and is apparently an unapologetic neonazi): http://www.pcworld.com/article/207046/article.htmlhttp://anti-racistcanada.blogspot.com/2010/10/blast-from-past-adam-guerbuez.htmlBobsurplus is probably the most well known pump and dump scammer on the altcoin boards: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=896480.0Maybe you did increase traffic a bit and boost hashrate a little, but it's probably not worth it, imo. You know what they say, "If you lay down with dogs, you get up with dog AIDS." Or something like that. Maybe I'm wrong, and any publicity is good publicity, but I just don't think you can wash the stench off so easily from those two shysters.

... ok client works. i'll begin compiling the client for windows and linux today, however linux users can already use it as a python script. instructions are easy to follow: https://github.com/doged/electrum-doged/Not to be pedantic or anything, but you can run it as a python script on windows as well.

Kinda sounds like you're using an old scrypt-n wallet, and you need to upgrade to lyra2re wallet. I would recommend dumping your private keys, upgrading wallet, and then import your keys to new wallet and rescan/reindex. No im using the latest wallet.. Weirdness, cause the wallet is telling you to upgrade... ? I'm getting scared to use Vertcoin now how can my money just vanish wtf. Does anyone know how I can download the prior version of the wallet v0.9.0.1 im going to try that. Thanks https://github.com/vertcoin/vertcoin/releases

What if a significant number of coins get in pirate Hand? The Hacker could dump monero into oblivion

Hi guys I posted this on reddit but no one is helping so i'm hoping someone can here.
I sent an sx transaction a few days ago which didn't arrive and has been seen by 0 peers. I'm also having trouble with the blockchain it wouldn't update (No block source available) I tried adding the nodes as suggested in numerous threads but no Joy I deleted peers.dat and no joy, I deleted everything apart from wallet.dat and no joy. So then I decided to backup the wallet and import the backup and then it started to update but the wallet kept crashing so I had to keep restarting to resume until I got to 43 weeks and then it got stuck with a new error message stating "Warning: Displayed Transactions may not be correct! You may need to upgrade, or other nodes may need to upgrade". To rectify this I tried starting the wallet with the flag -checkblocks=0 -checklevel=6 but it doesn't fix it. Im not to concerned about this wallet though as I have a really insignificant balance I am more concerned about the transaction I sent so if I can fix that and lose the wallet I don't care. I very much appreciate any help you can give me.

your coin will be pretty dead soon, when polo get hacked Do you have some inside info or something? Maybe we can get moneromooo to add a bet on his tippero bot about whether Poloniex will get hacked before some date that you specify, and then you can put your money where your (big, fat, stupid) mouth is. Speaking of which, NBA Finals start tomorrow night. You can bet on winner in #tippero or #monero on freenode using tippero bot. Just type '!book' to check book and '!bet team amount' to bet.

I'll give it a shot, never really tried downloading a blockchain outside the qt, question do i just delete everything in the data folder (i don't have any coins in wallet) or do i need to keep any certain files in the data folder before i copy the .unzip files over?
Thanks

If you don't have any coins you can just delete everything (or nothing) and copy the downloaded blockchain into the data folder. In my experience, on windows, DO NOT use the built in system unzipper tool, make sure you use 7zip or something to unzip the blockchain archive. I think the windows system unzipper can't handle files bigger then 4 GB or something.

I dunno, looks the same as electrum-ltc-server. Maybe just run a diff on the whole electrum-ltc-server repo with your dogedark repo and see if you can find error that way... It looks like you forked from ixcoin, which is sha256, right? So, maybe you can find issue by diffing with ltc repo, or just fork theirs.
