2221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: November 16, 2021, 07:37:06 PM
I can't imagine a World Cup without Italy.

in those qualifying games it was quite clear that the reign of certain big teams in the past is over, now the teams that were considered small in the past are very strong. I don't think italy would do much at the world playing in that perfect way. maybe it's better that italy stays out of the worlds. Portugal is in the same situation, England and Germany are very comfortable, I even thought that Germany would have the next results, but it surprised me
Portugal now has perfect company, so I find it hard to believe that Italy will have to face the play-offs. In other news, Switzerland has drawn over Italy to qualify for the World Cup 2022 automatically. Don't you think Jorginho is overrated player? Except for penalties, he's totally inconsistent. He missed penalties in multiple matches that cost Italy the play-off.

It is the beauty of football that everyone has a chance to win and that the difference between big and small nations is not as big as it used to be.
It is no surprise to me that Switzerland is better than Italy. Weren't they better than France at the European Championship?
I think we are facing a very uncertain fight for the World Cup in additional qualifications, with Italy, Portugal and other nations.

The final highlight of the season, the ATP final, is coming soon.
It's interesting what Djokovic has to say, who wants to win a new, sixth title in this tournament, which will start soon in Turin.

''I needed that break to rejuvenate and get ready for a strong finish to the season," said the world number one.
I haven't played so much as previous years in terms of the amount of tournaments, but I did have a lot of exhausting events that I played, particularly in the Grand Slams," said Djokovic. When I say exhausting, I don't just mean physically but mentally and emotionally.
It was unlike any other year that I've had so far because of the pressure of achievement and the potential of history making.
It took a lot out of me."

It's interesting how much Djokovic is focused on achieving tennis records and proving that he is the greatest tennis player of all time.
I guess that’s one of the reasons why a lot of tennis players and fans don’t like him. What do you think?
Who will be his main competitors in this tournament?

Source: https://www.bbc.com/sport/tennis/59256760

Is it really that interesting that he is so focused on that breaking records as a sportsman? I believe what distinguishes him from others of his calibre (those who can break records) is only the fact that he talks about that stuff very openly. Did anyone have the slightest doubt ever that one of Nadal's goals is to still collectt some GS titles to stay at the top? Or that Federer wasn't hoping to keep the record for weeks as number one in the tennis world? Or that Nadal is still eager to further improve his record in French Open titles such that he will still have that record in 200 years from now? I just find it honest what Djokovic is saying and they actually all want the same: break records and write history.

Maybe Nadal and Federer just wanted to compete when they were just starting this tennis journey and honestly didn't know that they can also surpassed and break records of their own.

Or maybe no one in the media ask them that question, or maybe it was ask, but they didn't give any direct answer? As opposed to Djokovic wherein he was always in the media and even has some fun with it form time to time.

Nadal and Federer did never specifically mention that they are in for the records, not even when they were holding records or close before that situation. I must confess that I like this about Djokovic. He was saying that grabbing for records puts a lot of mental and emotional pressure on him and is exhausting And I honestly I believe that. Look at how close Serena Williams was to go for the total GS number record. Then she failed over and over again. Was it because she couldn't play tennis anymore? No, it was because the whole world expected her to do it with ease and Djokovic is in the same position, but he will get all those records. I am pretty sure he keeps that level for at least another two full years.

I think it’s normal that every tennis player wants to be the best and win the most tournaments.
Federer, Nadal and Djokovic have different personalities and characters, so Djokovic talks openly about it and the other two don't.
As for Serena, if she hadn’t had to break her career due to pregnancy and childbirth, when she was at her peak, I’m sure she would have won a few more GS and been the absolute best.
2224  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- Group Stage! on: November 15, 2021, 11:28:20 AM
Manchester United are going to play an away game against Villarreal next time. And they have an English Premier League game against Watford before this one. In case they lose points there, we could see Manchester United sacking Ole Solskjaer and starting to search for a new manager before the game against Villarreal.
Villareal is strong at home, in the last 4 games they never got a loss, just a bit unfortunate loss against Osasuna. When talking about MU, we don't need too much hope, I just hope they don't stop until here. we won't be surprising if they lost again and again. It up to Ole, which strategy he wants to use, so far Ronaldo and Cavani (3-5-2) is the best formation he used, but when he uses Rashford, don't be hope to be win.

If there is any problem in Manchester United right now it has to be Ole. And I honestly think he is getting saved just because Ronaldo keeps scoring and saving the team at the last moment. Aur it had been more trouble for him. I think we all should realize that Manchester United didn't lose those matches because of Ronaldo's individual brilliance not because of the coach.

I would say Ronaldo is both a blessing and a curse to Manchester United.
The main problem is that Ronaldo doesn't play defense and therefore the cohesion of the team is disrupted, because in defense they have fewer players all the time.
The same problem exists in the Portuguese national team.
In modern football, as I mentioned in another post, all players have to play both defense and attack, and one player can't be more important than the whole team.

2225  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: November 15, 2021, 11:22:51 AM
I think Portugal can only have themselves to blame as they fumbled their chance over the last two games.
In Portugal's group, where we have Azerbaijan, Luxembourg, Ireland & Serbia, i would have easily tipped Portugal for qualification, unfortunately football really has a lot of twist. No one ever expected or saw that last minute goal coming.

Feels bad for Cristiano Ronaldo. Qatar 2022 was supposed to be his final world cup appearance.
Must be a really difficult time for CR7 at the moment, things at both club and country are going unexpected ways for him, we all know how committed he is to National duties and  how he has been dragging the team and making sure to be the difference between Portugal and any other team, unfortunately Serbia really played them down, and his singular performance was not enough this time.

almost everyone was surprised to see last night's match where Serbia managed to beat Portugal at home even though Portugal took the lead through Renato Sanchez's goal before Serbia turned things around in injury time, so that Portugal had to go through the play-offs to qualify for the world cup finals.Qatar, where last night's match made Ronaldo and his friends invested by the Serbian defense where they relied on team cohesiveness to beat Portugal, we deserve to give a thumbs up to the Serbia squad where they played so well that they successfully walked into the 2022 world cup in Qatar. Qatar, food for Portugal itself, I think they will also qualify even though they have to go through the play-off route in the decisive match later

Serbia indeed deserved to win, although some people were surprised by Portugal's defeat. Serbia played more solidly with a fairly good passing
accuracy, then Serbia also had better ball possession than Portugal. From there, I can judge Serbia more highly in their efforts to win the game,
and their hard work paid off by winning. Several times Serbian defenders managed to break attacks from Portuguese players, I appreciate how strong
the Serbian defense is. Even though Serbia had to score the winning goal in the last minute, but I don't think it was luck, but the result of Serbia's
more solid teamwork. Congratulations to the Serbian national team for qualifying for the 2022 world cup in Qatar.

Portugal should have lost the game in Ireland as well, and even then it was obvious that Portugal had serious problems.
I would say that Portugal has the same problem as Manchester United and as Juve had and that problem is called Ronaldo.
In modern football, all players must have equal responsibilities and play both defense and attack.
If you have a player who doesn’t play defense then you play with a player less all the time and that’s a serious handicap.
Ronaldo has become bigger than his team and that is the main problem of Portugal.

LoyceV has brought an interesting thought to the discussion. It never occurred to me that merit system was introduced to prevent users rank up. I know years ago before merit system all users needed to rank up was activity. All I have read talks about merit introduced to reduce shit posting. Shitposts do not get any merit so the shit posters are discouraged and leave the forum
it is not just to discourage shit posters, it is also to encourage current members at the time and new members after the merit was implemented to put effort on what they post in order to get merit if they want to increase their rank. I can only imagine what the forum would be like if theymos didn't introduce the merit system and other restrictions.

In fact, I think that with the introduction of merits, the admins wanted to motivate the forum members to work harder and write better quality posts.
Of course, it is difficult to say how much the admins really succeeded in that.
Somehow it seems to me that in the meantime, merits have become important solely because of the ability to participate in better paid signature campaigns  Grin
In fact, it can be said that this forum is also active due to the large number of participants in signature campaigns, who have the obligation to write on the forum, but this doesn't mean that the quality of posts has increased.

Finally, the match between Croatia and Russia ended and Croatia won 1:0.
Very difficult and bad match, heavy rain and few real chances for Croatia.
In the end, with the help of luck, Croatia beat Russia but didn't play well.
There was no real plan and idea in the attack and the Russian defense easily stopped all Croatian attacks.
The Russians made only one mistake in defense and that decided the winner.
By the way, it must be said that traditionally Croatia has always been good in such crucial matches, which can't be said for Russia.
2228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: November 14, 2021, 02:58:32 PM
The first half of the match between Croatia and Russia ended 0:0.
A tough match with very few nice actions and chances.
Russia plays very well in defense and doesn't give much chance to Croatia.
It is obvious that Croatia will have to take a lot more risks and attack with more players in the second half.
A very uncertain match.

Transfer rumours:

New Barcelona manager Xavi wants the club to re-sign Spain midfielder Thiago Alcantara, 30, from Liverpool. The real question is whether Barcelona has the finances to bring in new players?
Manchester United are working on a deal to persuade former Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as manager at Old Trafford. Zidane in Manchester? I think the chances for that are very small and that Zidane is the main favorite to coach the French national team.
Real Madrid are still monitoring Manchester United and France's 28-year-old midfielder Paul Pogba. This transfer saga around Pogba really takes too long. Where Pogba will eventually go ?
Inter Milan and Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen, 29, who hasn't played since suffering a cardiac arrest on the pitch at Euro 2020, wants to return to former club Ajax. I guess not as a player but in some other function?

Today we are expecting several very interesting matches, especially for fans from the Ex Yu area.
Serbia is playing a big and crucial match against Portugal, Macedonia against Iceland and Croatia against Russia.
Portugal was not convincing against Ireland and they should have lost that match, so it seems to me that Serbia is not without chances against Portugal today.
Macedonia has a historic chance to win second place in the group with today's victory and an extension of hope for first participation in the World Cup.
Croatia is looking for a victory against Russia and winning the first places in the group, which leads directly to the World Cup.
Croatia had problems at the beginning of the qualifiers and played unconvincingly, but now it is a completely different team, with a lot of young and talented players, and I think they are the favorites against Russia.

Unfortunately things like this will always happen because there will always be people interested in making money online, but without enough knowledge and experience to recognize a possible scam.
It is very difficult for beginners to recognize what is the right opportunity and what is a scam, and many people do not understand that both crypto trading and investing in cryptocurrencies are very risky.
The media writes a lot about big profits in the crypto industry and for ordinary people, who are desperate for financial difficulties, crypto seems like a great opportunity for a better financial future.
For more than 20 years I have been making money on the Internet in various ways, and I have already seen all possible ways of fraud, from revshare projects, fake MLM programs, forex trading and much more.
When you come across a financial offer, always ask the following things:
- If your method of earning is so good why do you need other people and their money?
- Why don’t you help your family and friends first and why do you help complete strangers?
- Who are you, your personal data and references of previous work?
If you don’t get the right answers it’s most likely a scam.
2233  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to spend smerits? on: November 14, 2021, 08:30:06 AM

Who said Legendary members do not need merits?

The Pharmacist was speaking. I cannot fully quote it, but the point was that you better help others, appreciate their posts, the merits are more needed for beginners who have good publications.

OP, I see that you take your merit very seriously. Remember how you felt when your posts were rated by other people? Was it pride, or was it the thought that you wrote something of value? I find people who keep their merit by struggling to find good posts too arrogant. It turns out that there are few posts on the forum that can be evaluated?
Or maybe it is easier to relate to this? Often we come across when reading something very close to us, why not just deserve these posts? Why would anyone give a lot of merits to one person when by favoring more people you can motivate them to keep growing on the forum.

In fact, this is a very interesting question, whether we should give more merits to new members and thus help them.
The fact is that new members do not yet have enough knowledge and experience to write better posts and contribute more to the forum community, although of course there are always exceptions.
The question is whether it's then okay to reward their weaker posts with merits and not give merit for some other quality posts from legendary members because we think they don't need merits.
This is not a simple dilemma to solve.
I solve this dilemma by rewarding the knowledge and experience of older members of the forum and with younger members I reward their efforts and the usefulness of some information for the forum community.

Transfer rumours:

It seems to me that they will be very busy in Barcelona, and that a lot of players will come and go, judging by this news, some of which have already been mentioned in this topic:
Barcelona are keen on Chelsea's Germany forward Timo Werner, 25, and could make a move to sign the former RB Leipzig player on loan in January. Werner has started just four Premier League games this season.
Manchester City will resist any approach from Barcelona to sign Raheem Sterling, 26, in January. Barca have been linked with a move for the England forward, who has started just three Premier League games this season.
Also, it seems that Manchester City have not given up on Kane and are ready to try again. Will it work this time?
City are also prepared to test Tottenham's resolve in January by reviving their interest in England striker Harry Kane having failed to lure the 28-year-old to Etihad Stadium in the summer.
Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers leads a four-man shortlist to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United. Does anyone else believe Solskjaer will survive as a coach until the end of this season?
Former Rangers and Italy midfielder Gennaro Gattuso, 43, has unfinished business at Ibrox amid links with replacing Steven Gerrard as manager. Is Gattuso really coming back to Scotland?

There were some good matches to watch happening yesterday and besides the surprising win of Georgia vs. Sweden there were no big upsets happening yesterday. This loss for sweden was extremely unlucky because now they need to win against in their last match against Spain if they want to be back on the first position of the table again and this would be pretty important as only the first team is qualified directly. If they would have won against Georgia then a draw would have been enough against Spain. So Georgia completely changed the circumstances for the last matchday. I still think though that both Spain and Sweden have good chances to qualify even if they have to play the additional play-off round.

Sweden will have to work really hard against Spain to get the win. Has Spain had some superstar shares and some real talent in the squad. But we all know that Sweden has Zlatan Ibrahimovic. And as he says him alone is enough, lol, Cheesy
I think this match will be really interesting but Spain has better chances of winning this match. But even those Sweden loses this match I think they will still have a chance to qualify.

Does that just seem to me but I think Sweden had much better results when they played without Ibrahimovic in the past?  Grin
It is never good when one player becomes more important than the whole team, and when the team loses internal cohesion and unity.
You don't believe it? Just look at the ''Ronaldo effect'' in Juventus and Manchester United.
I think it is better to have a team that plays as one than a team where 1 player is more important than all the others and everything is subordinated to that player.

Members with higher forum rank needs merits for entering better paid signature campaigns for example.
I suggest that you don't pay attention to the forum rank members and that you give merits only by the criteria of the quality of the post, the usefulness of some information ...

2240  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Porez na bitcoin i kriptovalute 2018-2019 on: November 13, 2021, 01:34:46 PM
