For the quality now when they see they are in Group F it will definitely increase their confidence a little considering that they are currently with Morocco, Croatia and Canada.
Their chances with Croatia are clearly quite big but indeed Morocco and Canada are also clearly the Underdogs who are a little difficult here.
I think they will talk a lot now especially to qualify for the next phase.

This is only Canada's second participation in a FIFA World Cup, but was won with a lot of claw and good results in the classification.
Together with Belgium, I hope to see Canada will be able to qualify in the group stage... Obviously I don't expect it to achieve good results after that, let's see how they will make themselves in the first games and then set the following bets.
However... from Croatia and Morocco I don't expect much, I believe you should not even qualify in the group stage.

I would like to remind you that at the last World Cup in Russia, Croatia played in the final, and that at the last competition of the League of Nations this year, Croatians defeated France and Denmark away from home.
In their group of qualifiers for the World Cup, they were convincingly first, ahead of Russia and Slovakia.
The best Croatian players play in top European teams, such as Real, Chelsea, Inter, Bayern etc.  so I don't understand where you came to the conclusion that this is a weak team that should not have qualified for the World Cup and that we shouldn't expect much from them?
Realistically, considering the strength of the teams, Belgium and Croatia are the favorites of this group and one of the hidden favorites of the entire competition.
It would be a really big surprise if Canada takes one of the first two places in the group, given that they cannot be compared to Belgium and Croatia in terms of team quality and experience.
1282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: August 15, 2022, 08:42:07 AM

Brazil, France, Spain, Argentina, Germany and England are quite strong and have quality players, that's the reason the chances for Holland are very small, but football can give birth to surprises, but quality players and coaches are needed, surprises are only a small part of the preparations made by countries playing in the World Cup
I will always consider Brazil as the most favorite team to play in the final.  Then to count other teams, France, England, Argentina, Germany should be counted respectively.  However, in the last few months of activity, Belgium has also got a good performance and rating in the FIFA ranking.  Let's see who won the golden cup this time.
It is understandable why Brazil is the favorite to enter the final, the history that this country holds holds the most titles in the world cup, Brazil is also one of the many countries that always has talented young players and they play in the big leagues in Europe, for this reason maybe it's true, that Brazil has a very good and big chance to advance to the final.
But also don't forget, other countries have quality players for now, even though they have not been tested at the World Cup, one of which is Belgium.

I agree that Brazil is favorite in every world cup and that's why the fact that they haven't been world champions in 20 years is surprising.
We all still remember their disastrous defeat in the semifinals of the World Cup in Brazil 2014 against Germany.
Brazil has always had great individuals, but as a team they have always lacked something.
As for Belgium, it seems to me that it is an old team that had its peak at the World Cup in Russia 2018.

Transfer rumours:

Chelsea have agreed personal terms with 21-year-old France defender Wesley Fofana but have had two bids rejected by Leicester City, who want more than Ł80m. Isn't Leicester asking too much for this player?
Netherlands midfielder Frenkie de Jong, 25, and Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, 33, could also be on their way to Stamford Bridge, with Chelsea leading the race for the Barcelona players. Does this mean that Frenkie de Jong has finally given up on Barcelona?
Chelsea would be De Jong's preferred destination.
However, De Jong has told his Barcelona team-mates he is now likely to sign for Manchester United instead. In which club does De Jong actually want to continue his career?
Manchester United have held talks with Atletico Madrid over a possible Ł30m move for 29-year-old Spain striker Alvaro Morata. Manchester United are again bringing in a lot of new players and the only thing that doesn't change are their poor results  Grin
And Manchester United have reiterated to Paris St-Germain that England forward Marcus Rashford, 24, is not for sale.
However, Paris St-Germain are to offer Rashford a long-term deal to partner France striker Kylian Mbappe, 23. Who will be more successful in this football story?  Cheesy

1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: August 14, 2022, 11:23:07 AM
Real Madrid's victory went as predicted. They can easily finish the resistance given by Frankfurt. Alaba and Benzema were the goalscorers in this win. And once again Benzema can play well, he showed that he still deserves to occupy the position of Real Madrid front line. This is a signal, that Benzema will return to being a frightening figure up front.
Talking about Real Madrid, it can't be separated from the figure of their striker named Karim Benzema,
when he is fit and able to play I don't think Real Madrid will have too much of a problem but it will be different when Benzema is injured and Real Madrid don't have a suitable replacement.
We'll see if Benzema gets injured then Real Madrid will really have a hard time scoring goals
Real Madrid won last season, but this season might be difficult for them to retain the UEFA Champions league tittle because most of the teams in the different leagues have bought players from the transfer market, knowing fully well that the season will be more competitive than before, but Real madrid have not done anything at all, they have not made a marquee signing that will boost the morals of the team, although they've not sold any key player that will affect them. But they still need to sign players to be able to compete with Barca,Bayern,Mancity,Liverpool,Totthenham,Chelsea, and PSG.

I think that Real is not any weaker than it was last season and they are again favorites in all competitions.
I would even say that they are stronger than last season because all the key players from last season have remained, and some other very high-quality footballers like Rudiger or Tchouameni have joined.
I wouldn't say that Real have any problems with team morale, desire to succeed or anything else.  Cheesy
They have a history of success, they know how to get results and obviously in recent years they have that famous x-factor needed to win in the end, which other teams still don't have, like PSG or Manchester City, even though they spend a lot more money on players.

Favorites in all competitions? In Spain I don't know right now, it seems like Real Madrid might have the best team but first we would have to see how things develop for Barcelona.

In the Champions League, however, I totally disagree. How can you say that Real Madrid is better than Manchester City? Did you forget how Real Madrid won their last CL trophy? The game against PSG and City? That won't happen again. They turned these games around with a lot of luck. Against PSG Donnaruma ruined it. If he doesn't make the mistake PSG is going to beat Real Madrid relatively easily.

The header against Manchester City in the final minutes was even deflected from another player, then fell onto the head of the Real player and from there took the perfect curve and landed in the back of the net. I am sure this isn't going to repeat that way. In both matchups against PSG and Man City, Real Madrid was clearly the weaker team.

I think that this year you got to beat Manchester City in order to win the trophy. They will be on fire.

Manchester City may have better players but that doesn't mean they have a better team.
Real has something that Manchester City and PSG doesn't have, which is the habit of winning, enormous self-confidence and faith and determination until the last moment of the match.
PSG and Manchester City players are under huge pressure every season to win the Champions League and every season the pressure only increases, and under such huge pressure mistakes also happen, like in the matches against Real.
Real players handle pressure much better and it shows in all their key games in the Champions League, not just last season.
It is pointless to consider all their victories solely as luck. Luck can offer you an opportunity, but it depends only on your quality whether you will know how to use it.

Yes, I remember that part, what strikes me is that after that successful world, Russia is no longer in this World Cup, of course, like Italy, Sweden, they are countries that are really worth seeing, like their fans, I think that the countries that go for these teams will be seen differently, I am a little anxious to see this World Cup, the fact that it is until November is something new for me, but I do know that this Christmas will be much happier for having the World Cup at this time, it will be of another level and I want to see and I am curious to see some teams from countries that qualified in the playoffs, how will their behavior be when they have to play against the greats.

Russia would have qualified for the world cup, but based on the complaints by Poland and Ukraine, FIFA decided to suspend their participation. If Russia can be suspended for the war against Ukraine, then I don't know why the US was not banned after their invasions of Iraq, Syria and Libya. Anyway, Russia will be missed, along with the teams that failed to qualify such as Italy. In case of the latter, it was unexpected. I never imagined in my wildest dreams that they will lose to North Macedonia. Lesson learnt. Never ever underestimate Goran Pandev.

I watched Russia's matches because they played in the qualifying group with Croatia and they didn't impress me at all. They played a lot of games poorly and were lucky to get points.
Slovakia completely outplayed them in the match in Russia and completely undeservedly lost the key match for second place in the group and additional qualifications.
Russia quite luckily made it to the additional qualifications for the World Cup, but there they would have no chance of qualifying for the World Cup.
Macedonia's successes are no longer a surprise. Before Italy, they also beat Germany away from home. Only those who have not been following this national team lately can be surprised. This is a great team.
1287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Qualifying 4/08/22 on: August 14, 2022, 11:03:35 AM
From today's bets, only HJK and Zurich bring me money. At least thing were better in Conference League. Seems that we will have penalty shootout in Slovan - Olympiacos game. Before game I already had written-off Oly.
So, probably only AEK kicked out Partizan is only big surprise in this round.
as a fan, I would say that we are favorites, but Partizan is not on my parlay
match just started, it was a great fireworks before the match, and looking at past performance after fireworks before the match, we will probably lose today
Your concerns weren't without a reason. Despite relatively early goal, Partizan didn't managed to win game and it ended 2:2.
Anyway, both Partizan and Malmo screwed my parlay

Partizan was just terrible and with 2 goals that they scored it just wasnt enough . Some news after the match is that Partizan sacked their head coach and still the fans arent satisfied with the club management. In the club its really heated the fans are going crazy with the management

The failure of Partizan is really one of the biggest surprises of this round of the competition.
Their fans are really fanatical, but the Partizan players now need peace so that they can concentrate on the most important match of the season that awaits them, which is the fight to enter the group of the conference league.
Another failure would really be a disaster for the sporting ambitions of this club and its finances.
What will happen with the coach and club management, is there any new news?

In my opinion, Brazil and France are the main favorites in this World Cup.
Likewise, I'm almost certain that between Argentina, Spain, England, Germany, Holland, Belgium and maybe Portugal and Croatia, we'll see another World Cup finalist in Qatar.
A very uncertain and dramatic world championship awaits us and in the end the winner will be decided by small details and luck, as always.
It will be interesting to see how the national teams will prepare for the very difficult conditions of playing football in Qatar due to the difficult weather conditions.
1289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: August 14, 2022, 10:48:23 AM
The Netherlands always had a great team, especially from the beginning of the 1970s, but they had the misfortune of playing in the finals in 1974 and 1978 against the hosts, Germany and Argentina, in 1998 they lost on penalties to Brazil, in 2010 they only lost in extra time to the best generation of Spain ever...
Maybe it's a matter of luck or bad luck, but obviously they always lacked something at key moments.
The Netherlands will again be one of the favorites this time, but the question is whether they will have the necessary quality and experience to finally become world champions.
The Netherlands have a good team (allthough a lot of young players) with a good coach but I doubt that they will really get far this year. They have had some good matches in the Nations League, but nobody really cares about that. I think Belgium has a far better team (quality wise) than the Netherlands but also Belgium will not win the title.
The Netherlands is one of the best team in Europe, and they have very good history in World Cup history even right now they have few youngsters but still they can do much better than we are expecting because their quality is amazing and right now with coach like Luis Van Gaal they can work on different strategies and system which will help them in this event for having better results.

Belgium is also very good side and their recent record is not good but still many quality players are in those are having very good experience in UEFA and can go through into good way with their quality but as many mentioning these both teams are not good enough for winning this title just have good chance for qualifying into semifinal or quarterfinal because they need more experience for better results.

I haven't followed the Netherlands too much lately, but the Belgian team is already quite an experienced team with very good results recently. Weren't the Belgians third in the world at the last world championship in Russia?
In my opinion, France and Brazil are the main favorites at the World Cup, but between these teams, Spain, Argentina, England, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal and Croatia, I believe we will see at least one participant in the finals of the World Cup.
This world championship will be highly uncertain and small details and luck will probably decide the winner.

1291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be open to any possibility on: August 14, 2022, 10:25:30 AM
In crypto, there will always be projects around which great noise and fame are created (but without concrete value), and as a result, in the short term, there will be a great interest of small investors in such coins and a sudden increase in price.
A small number of people who know how to recognize the right time to enter and exit that project will make big money, but most investors will lose because such projects are not sustainable in the long term.
More experienced investors have seen this scenario hundreds of times, and the end result is always the same.
If you want, you can find hundreds of such projects in the crypto every day, and if you want to gamble, you might get lucky and earn something.

1292  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What I have learned about Bitcoin on: August 14, 2022, 10:16:18 AM
Despite the cryptocurrency's numerous crashes, many people believe that Bitcoin is the finest asset to hold capital because of its price's tendency to climb rather than fall.

It's difficult to make such predictions and everyone should understand that investing in bitcoin is a risky investment.
It's obvious that the price of bitcoin is affected by many factors, including the state of the global market, inflation, decisions of central banks and market regulators etc.
I think that each of us should have our own investment plan, in accordance with our financial capabilities, and a clear exit strategy, regardless of the movements in the global market.
You need to be a smart investor, think long-term and not panic about short-term market declines.

Transfer rumours:

Manchester United want to sign Chelsea's former Morocco winger Hakim Ziyech, 29, after failing to muscle in on Germany forward Timo Werner's move from Chelsea to RB Leipzig. Hakim Ziyech instead of Timo Werner. Good deal for Manchester United or another bad deal for them?
Chelsea will need to fend off late interest from Juventus for Italy midfielder Jorginho, 30, if Juve sell France midfielder Adrien Rabiot, 27, to Manchester United. How realistic is that possibility?
West Ham have submitted a big-money offer to Barcelona for 28-year-old Netherlands forward Memphis Depay. What will Barcelona decide? On the one hand, big financial problems, and on the other, the desire to have a strong and competitive team.
Despite links with Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo, 37, will remain at Manchester United this summer unless there is a major last-minute surprise. Is it possible that no one wants Ronaldo anymore?  Grin
Manager Pep Guardiola expects Sergio Gomez to be Manchester City's final signing of the summer, with the Spanish full-back, 21, close to sealing a 10m euro (Ł8.5m) move from Anderlecht. Pep was once again a big buyer in the football market, but so far this has not helped them achieve their ultimate goal, winning the Champions League.  Grin

Zverev is the same type of guy but not as bad as Kyrgios.

Hopefully Zverev will be able to play on the court again soon. After tearing 3 external ligaments in his ankle in June, he hopes to return soon. Maybe he will make it in time for the US Open at the end of August. He is in training again and will make a decision in 10 days. He definitely wants to play in the Davis Cup group matches in Hamburg in mid-September.

Also taking into account that Djokovic won't play, chances are quite good for Zverev to make it pretty far during the US Open. The big IF is whether he can trust his ankle again. Everyone who had injury knows what I am talking about. It is not so much about the injury being cured, it is all about psychology that afterwards needs to be worked on so hard. When you broke your leg in soccer, it is hard to give 100%.

In order for Zverev to really have a chance to win the title, he would have to be at his absolute best and trust his ankle 110%. All the movements that are so important in tennis involve the ankle and its flexibility and stability. I also hope the best for him.

Are you sure that Djokovic will not perform at the US Open?  Grin
News comes from America that Djokovic will still be able to play at the US Open. Looks like a big change just happened with the Covid rules. You have more details here:
Source: https://www.msn.com/en-in/sports/other/us-open-big-boost-to-novak-djokovic-s-participation-after-usa-confirms-changes-to-covid-norms/ar-AA10CIUW

''The American authorities have decided they will not discriminate between those who have taken the COVID jab and those who are yet to. Thus, this will pave way to allow the 2022 Wimbledon champion Djokovic to take part in the mega event, which will get underway on August 29.''

I have read the same news on several different internet portals and I think they are credible sources of information.
So, if nothing dramatically changes at the last moment, Djokovic will still be able to play in the tournament in America.
Obviously, a very exciting and uncertain tournament awaits us. What do you think?

The Netherlands has a long history in football, the Oranye team has the quality, and Van Gaal is a great coach and has good vision.
But in this competition, you don't just need the best squad but also need luck. Luck is a factor in football.
The Netherlands has what it takes to be champions.
There is only one thing that the Oranye team has not had in the world cup to date: Luck.

Euro Cup1992 is an example of the magic of football.
Denmark, which did not qualify for the qualification, managed to become the champion in the final match against West Germany.
There is no doubt Netherlands is one of the best soccer team in world, but sadly they never achieve which they deserve in this game and lost three finals which is record as they are only team in soccer history which play 3 finals and never won any trophy two time they lost finals in AET which means surely they are the unluckiest team in soccer.

Now in this event, we can expect something good from them as well because quality is amazing and with Luis Van Gaal they could be a deadly combination for many teams and go through into last eight without any big trouble.

Now time is running very quickly with just less than 100 days left in this event and excitement is going to its peak, hopefully all will be good for all teams during this time.

South Korea is a good team, but they will not be able to compete with Portugal on equal terms, yet the level of the teams is different. And Ronaldo is not in the best shape right now, he missed almost all of the pre-season, but he can still recover by the start of the World Cup. Portugal should get out of the group without problems, but it will be very difficult for them to reach the quarterfinals, they play from defense, such tactics become obsolete and less and less often bring good results.
the quality of the Portugal squad is better than the South Korean squad. however, it does not mean that Portugal will advance smoothly in the next round. Likewise with South Korea, maybe they are able to provide fierce resistance and destroy Ronaldo dream, as happened in the 2018 World Cup, Germany was defeated by South Korea 2-0.

Maybe South Korea and Uruguay will advance to the next round or vice versa, all possibilities could occur. even for ghana though, they still have a chance to qualify for the next phase even though it is statistically very unlikely.
This is one of the toughest groups in this World Cup with all four teams are capable to advance into next round because right now all are improving quality and as we all know in 2018 South Korea already done the biggest upset and send back Germany early things can repeat and Uruguay and Ghana both are also having few very good players so predicting about any team for advance into next round is never been easy with Portugal is having some advantage but still any result can happen.

In last few years we have very good results from Asian and African results as they are developing good structure and now improving their quality as well which is good for the game and with next world cup is going to have more teams could be another big advantage for all.

Let's not forget that South Korea was fourth in the world at the 2002 World Cup, and that Uruguay and Ghana played a very dramatic quarter-final match at the 2010 World Cup. Ghana unfortunately lost that match and missed the chance to reach the semi-finals.
Portugal was not convincing in the qualifications for the world championship and they were only second in their group, behind Serbia, and had to play additional qualifications.
In this group, all the national teams are good and it will be a very uncertain fight for the first two places in the group.

It irritates me personally, and I believe other forum members as well.
Questions about how to advance on the forum, how to get merit or how to make money on the forum have become particularly irritating. It seems to me that we have answered these questions at least a hundred times  Grin
Sometimes there are too many such topics and it is difficult to find a meaningful and interesting topic for discussion.
