Transfer rumours:

Bayern Munich chief executive Oliver Kahn has described Tottenham and England forward Harry Kane, 28, as "an absolute top striker" and "a dream of the future" after they agreed to sell Robert Lewandowski, 33, to Barcelona. Kane for Lewandowski? This is really surprising news to me. Are there realistic chances for this to happen and does Bayern need Kane after bringing in Mane?
Netherlands international Frenkie de Jong is opposed to joining Manchester United or any English club, but the 25-year-old Barcelona midfielder would consider a move to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich. This situation with Frenkie de Jong is getting weirder every day. He wants to stay at the club but Barcelona does not want him. Manchester wants him, but he doesn't want to play in England. Now he would like to go to Bayern, but it doesn't seem that Bayern wants him. What will happen to this player in the end?
Cristiano Ronaldo, 37, has dismissed rumours linking him with a loan move back to former club Sporting Lisbon. The Portugal captain posted "Fake" in reply to an Instagram story by Sport TV Portugal showing the Manchester United attacker's car parked at the Sporting stadium. There are more and more strange rumors about Ronaldo, but what will he decide in the end? And will he manage to find a new club this summer?

1362  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: July 18, 2022, 09:52:32 AM
Argentina is also to me the best team at the moment having the best players compared to most other teams,France have good ones but they are not at the same level as Messi and company which I think are eager to win this trophy which is missing to them since the distant year of 1986 and having lost the final in 1990,the last one for Maradona playing as a star player.

Sure other teams like Brazil and many others have also very talented players and this make this World Cup really great to watch and I can understand why fans are not that patient until this event starts in this upcoming November.

What we cannot forget is that the analysis we make of the teams at the moment is based on last season.
But, the Worlds will take place in the middle of the next season, where other players can emerge in better shape and start to look different.
And Argentina has a lot of players playing for the best European clubs, so everything could be different from what we saw last season.

I agree with this.
France and England were not very convincing in the last competition of the League of Nations this year and achieved worse results, but that does not mean anything.
There is still a lot of time until the world football championship in Qatar, and the players will take this competition much more seriously and prepare much better.
Considering the difficult weather conditions and the large number of quality teams, and the fact that the competition will be very hard for all players, the team that is physically and mentally the most prepared will win.
A very exciting and uncertain competition awaits us, and I give a small advantage to France and Brazil for the title.
1363  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: July 18, 2022, 09:43:40 AM
Now Qatar is going to be first Muslim country who is going to host his mega event and surely this is going to be game changer for this region which is having some terrible issues and conflicts for decades with this all I am still feeling Qatar is not having any good chance for qualifying into next round because their group is tough, and they are currently the most weak side in this event.

Qatar is in Group A. And here their opponents are Ecuador, Netherlands and Senegal. Teams are considered strong but their performances are not consistent. If Qatar can perform a bit better, they have a chance to win both matches. And I think they will be able to draw in that match if they play defensively. Moreover, as the home team, they will get some extra advantage.

In this group, the Netherlands is the clear favorite, but Senegal, the finalist of the African Championship, will also be a very difficult opponent and they are probably the main candidates for second place and passing the group.
Ecuador is probably the weakest South American team that qualified for this world championship, and Qatar almost certainly would not have participated in this world championship if they were not the hosts.
I think there is little chance for Qatar to pass the group because they will have to beat one of the group's favorites, the Netherlands or Senegal.
Of course, surprises are always possible, and Qatar can certainly count on mild support from FIFA and football referees.

I used to get spam messages in my inbox from unknown new members begging me for merits and sometimes it really becomes a burden.

Well, this is weird.
I rarely get this kind of messages.
Either or I am not particularly supportive of newbie, so they don’t even bother trying to message me, or on the contrary i always help voluntarily, so they don’t even bother to message me.
Who knows!!

In fact, it all started when I started a topic for newbie members without merit in the Beginners & Help section of the forum, and offered them to report their quality posts and get the first merit.
Unfortunately, most of the reported posts were of poor quality and I could not give them merit.
After that I started getting unwanted private messages in my inbox from newbie members begging me to give them merits.
Then I just gave up and closed the topic.
Everything had simply gone too far.
1365  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why it's so hard to rank-up? on: July 18, 2022, 09:26:21 AM
I joined the forum in 2014, had two large periods of inactivity (approximately 3 years away in 2018) while I wasn't active in the first place when I signed up. The merit requirement hadn't taken place back then and managed to rank up till Sr. Member somewhere in 2016 or 2017 if I remember correctly. I re-entered the forum in January 2021, having the 250 base merit due to the Sr. Member rank.

So far, within approximately a year and a half, I've gained exactly 200 merit, requiring only 50 merit for Hero. I agree, ranking up is not an easy purpose, while merit isn't the perfect system by any means, it has successfully got rid of spammers who were unable to rank up and join signature campaigns.

Yes, there are a lot of older members who may not have earned their forum rank due to the quality of their posts and their contributions to the forum, but they was lucky to have become members before the merits system started and thanks to that they got a higher forum rank, while new members have to work much harder for higher forum ranks.
Because of this, it could be said that the merit system is not fair to the younger members, who joined this forum much later, but on the other hand, thanks to the merits, we were able to separate the quality members from the spammers on this forum, as you said.
No system is obviously perfect, but it is obvious that merits have benefited this forum.

Transfer rumours:

Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic has again reiterated the German club's stance on Cristiano Ronaldo, 37, by ruling out a move for the Manchester United and Portugal forward. Can we trust him to tell the truth about Ronaldo?  Grin
Manchester City have no intention of selling Portugal midfielder Bernardo Silva to Barcelona this summer, with manager Pep Guardiola still viewing the 27-year-old as an important part of his plans next season. So there will be no agreement between Barcelona and Manchester regarding Silva?
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has told the club's hierarchy to continue their attempts to sign 25-year-old Dutch midfielder Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona - even if he has not joined them by the start of their season on 7 August. Interesting situation. The clubs have already agreed on everything, but the player does not want to leave. How will this end in the end?
Barcelona have named De Jong in their squad for a pre-season tour in the United States. Does this mean that Barcelona gave up on his transfer to Manchester?
Juventus are in contact with Atletico Madrid about signing 29-year-old Spain striker Alvaro Morata, who returned to the Spanish club in the summer following the end of a two-year loan spell at the Serie A side. Juve have done a very good job this summer and have strengthened their squad for the new season.

1369  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 17, 2022, 07:04:05 AM
Just reading about match fixing allegations at Wimbledon. I'm usually not giving benefit of doubt but this time, wondering if too much has been made, given the sources seem to be pretty similar most of the time (German, French). Depending on the source, he's "found guilty".

I believe that match fixing happen all the time, there are multiple things someone can fix and not just winning or losing the match, and those allegations and people getting exposed is just who were bad enough to get caught, I think there are too many that successfully fixed with no proof behind.

This is true not only for tennis but also for all other professional sports on which many people bet.
When big money is at stake, of course there are plenty of opportunities for collusion and fraud.
Tennis is a sport in which realistically only the first 40-50 players on the ranking list can live richly, the next 100-200 players survives and the rest not even that.
Tennis is also a very expensive sport, and of course many lower-ranked tennis players without sponsors cannot afford expensive trips and participation in better-paid tournaments.
If you can't make big money in lower paying tournaments and the costs are high, what's left for you? For some tennis players, the answer is obvious, to try to make money in other, illegal ways and at least somehow monetize their tennis career.
1370  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: July 17, 2022, 06:51:42 AM
Brazilians and the world Cup are five and six.
They have always taken the tournament very very serious.
I see it's the reason why they have won more of it than anyone.
The current squad are ready and determined to win. Argentina also wants to do it for Messi.
France are also having a solid squad but they won't get the world Cup

From this 3 teams that you said France is the best by far by quality . For me they are one of the main favorites i dont think that either Argentina or Brazil will reach the final. Brazil might have won the title most of the times but that dosent mean they are favorites always.

France didn't play well in the last European Championship and in the League of Nations, and it's obvious that they have problems in the relations between the players in the team.
However, in terms of the quality of the players, they have one of the strongest national teams and if the players focus exclusively on their game and the result, they will be one of the main favorites again.
Brazil has not been a world champion for a long time, which is a real surprise, but it is obvious that in the previous world championships, they were not mentally ready to win the world champion title. Who remembers Brazil's semi-final disaster against Germany in 2014?
Argentina is still a one man show and they depend too much on Messi.
1371  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: July 17, 2022, 06:41:24 AM
need to be underlined I'm not saying idols in the past will be the same as the style of modern football players as it is today.
I said, I idolized some Argentinian stars from time to time. i agree that argentina doesn't have many stars but you have to remember there are a lot of argentina players who play in the european league, the european continent has much greater potential it can be justified seeing the development of european football is more complex than latin america, but we will find out after the world cup begins.
predictions stay predictions.

Argentina is not an absolutely bad team right now. They are also not one of the best, I can say that they are a good team. But I am I'm not sure about the defensive lineup of Argentina right now. I know that they can attack well but in the defense, I don't think they are very reliable. There are a lot of better teams in this world cup playing compared to Argentina. But I would really like to say Argentina gets the world cup this time because it is going to be the last World Cup for Lionel Messi. I also hope for a good performance from Dybala.

Portugal fans could say the same about their national team, that this is Ronaldo's last chance to become a world champion  Grin
Argentina is a good team, but are they really good enough to become world champions?
Still that team is too dependent on one player, Messi and that is not good for them.
Messi achieved his greatest football successes in Barcelona, a top team that had a lot of outstanding football players.
In the national team, Messi doesn't have such good teammates and it is much more difficult for him to play, because everything depends on him and the pressure is much higher.
I give Brazil and France a much better chance for the world championship title because they are much better balanced teams with a lot of quality football players.
1372  Other / Meta / Re: What Would Be Your Reason to Leave Bitcointalk? on: July 17, 2022, 06:31:19 AM
Let's be honest, signature campaigns is the reason why most people are here so if admins will ban those campaigns then I think active members will decline to more than half. People will just check this website to gather some info about the current trend on crypto space but will leave immediately once they learned enough. Other choices are not enough reason for someone to leave this forum permanently, they will always come back as long as they aren't banned and can still help them financially.

This is actually the truth, which is confirmed through all the statistical reports on the activities of this forum, from Rikafip and other members.
In general, the trend is that internet forums are becoming less and less popular, while telegram groups, social networks and similar methods of internet communication are becoming more popular.
This forum follows similar trends and has less and less active members and activities every month.
As much as the signature campaigns affected the quality of this forum due to the large number of low-quality posts, they still helped to keep this forum as active and interesting for new users.
1373  Other / Meta / Re: Merit source observations on: July 17, 2022, 06:19:36 AM

Completely ? Ha yes, now that you mention that, a big MS seems to be inactive for a few months.
Inactive is just part of the story: he has been writing quite regularly and got merits. He just stopped sending merits, both as MS and as regular user.
I think he might have good reasons for this.

@Ratimov just confirmed not being a merit source anymore.
It is now up to him if he wants to disclose a little bit about the reasons that led him to this decision.

I'm sorry about that, Ratimov is really a very prominent member of this forum and has helped many members in the past.
I guess it has become a burden for him to receive many requests for help with merits, which is understandable.
I used to get spam messages in my inbox from unknown new members begging me for merits and sometimes it really becomes a burden.
Ratimov is indeed a deserving member of this forum and should be thanked for everything he has done.

OP, if you have been on this forum and in the crypto for so long, then you surely have some knowledge and experience that you can share with others and thus contribute to the community.
You can always explore new crypto projects and share information here.
If I understood you correctly, you are unhappy that after several years you still haven't reached the desired forum rank, which I assume you need to be able to participate in better paid signature campaigns.
If I were you, I would first focus on how I can contribute to this forum and help other members, and everything else will come naturally.

Transfer rumours:

Robert Lewandowski will complete his move to Barcelona this weekend, after Bayern Munich verbally accepted an increased offer worth 50m euros (Ł42.5m) for the Poland striker.
After selling Lewandowski, Bayern will increase their bid to Juventus for the Netherlands defender Matthijs de Ligt, 22, who has already agreed personal terms for a five-year contract.
So, Bayern obviously decided to make good money on Lewandowski and bring in a new football star.
Manchester United are convinced Frenkie de Jong is committed to joining the club despite reports in Spain that the Netherlands midfielder, 25, is desperate to stay at Barcelona. It seems to me that Frenkie de Jong is behaving quite unreasonably. Why stay in a club that doesn't want you and where you won't play and reject a good offer from a club that wants you and where you will definitely play? It is obvious that Ronaldo does not want a rich football retirement just yet and wants to fight for new trophies.
AC Milan are close to announcing a new contract for 40-year-old Sweden forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic.  Zlatan is truly a football and human phenomenon. How much longer can he play at the top level?

1376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: July 16, 2022, 01:41:07 PM
Betting on Thiem or Murray is in a way like betting on Krygios, I wouldn't generally do it, they're too unpredictable. In Krygios's case it's his mentality, but Murray it's the physical uncertainty. You can analyse Murray's recent performances, but we'll never be able to get information on exactly how his hip is doing on any given day, or how his recovery has gone after the previous match. I find it a lot easier to bet on players for whom there isn't so much unavailable information.
Maybe not Thiem but Murray has been pretty consistent to his ability. One thing that separates him from the rest is the elite mentality. Even though he breaks down and gets tough on himself, he will still try until the last point. Like Nadal, but a notch lower. Its going to be a tough match against Bublik though. Who's very talented but then again, mentally weak. If Murray could stretch the match long enough, he might be able to break him.

I totally agree with you on this.
What separated the big three, and initially the big four until Murray dropped out due to numerous injuries, from other tennis players was precisely great mental strength and self-confidence, and a fight to the end.
The very fact that Murray managed to win 3 GS and be an Olympic winner during the time of the big three speaks a lot about his tennis greatness.
Murray unfortunately lost to Bublik, but we all know he won't give up and will come back  Cheesy

He is a great fighter and never gives up. Many others would have given up tennis long ago in his place.
1377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: July 16, 2022, 01:31:27 PM
Russia is definitely better than a number of other countries in the world championship. On the other hand, they obviously don't have any significant role when it comes to the championship. And they can't beat the top 10 countries either. Russia would be good to maybe survive the group, but after that it would be the end of the story. The same goes for Ukraine, by the way. Of course it sucks for the Russian nation and the Russian football players, some of them have never been allowed to participate in a World Cup. The next opportunity will be the European Championship in 2 years. France and Brazil have real world players in both teams. But Brazil in particular has been very disappointed in the last 20 years and has not won 1 title. Bizarre.

I watched Russia in the World Cup qualifiers because they were in a group with Croatia.
Realistically, it is a national team of average quality, which managed to win second place in the group and additional qualifications with a lot of luck.
Even if they had been given the opportunity to participate in additional qualifications, I don't think they would have qualified for the world championship.
From what I've seen, Ukraine is a better team than Russia and it's a pity for them that they won't be playing in the World Cup.
As for Brazil, in the last 20 years they always had very good individuals, but they did not have a well-balanced team.
I don't think they were at the required level psychologically either. Do you remember the semi-final against Germany in 2014?
1378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: July 16, 2022, 01:22:08 PM
Brazil and Argentina are tough challengers for them and from these two any team can reach into final and won this event its possibility.

Brazil seems to come this year with a good squad. although it is very difficult to see Brazil's past performances return. because football is growing quite rapidly in Europe and Asia.
this year my favorite is still Brazil. because I've always been a Brazil fan. although disappointed in the form a few events ago. but in Qatar, they bring great hope.

I assume you are referring to Brazil's very poor performance at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and the disastrous loss to Germany in the semi-finals or the fact that Brazil has not been a world champion for 20 years?
Personally, I see Brazil, along with France, as the main favorite for the title at the world championship in Qatar.
However, at this world championship, there are still plenty of high-quality and strong national teams such as England, Germany, Belgium, Argentina etc. and a very uncertain competition awaits us.
The team that is most ready to withstand a very difficult and strenuous competition will win.

I agree that bitcoin is one of the most stable and secure investment options among cryptocurrencies.
However, there are other very good crypto projects and I see no reason why to limit yourself to bitcoin as the only investment.
Why limit investing to only crypto, after all?
There are also many other interesting investment opportunities such as in the energy sector, electric cars and others.
Every serious investor should diversify their investments in several stable crypto projects, as well as high-dividend stocks, real estate, start-ups and other promising business projects, and have a clear business strategy and exit strategy.
