2221  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Effectively Maximize Profits from Online Crypto Casinos on: June 04, 2022, 01:16:53 PM
These all are just the ways to avoid major losses but not the things that will assure us that we can make a profit from gambling. We can't win over the house and probably it was too obvious. let us say that we win today but remember the countless times we lose. To say "profit in casinos", was just a hope... but nothing really exists in the world of gambling. But this is really possible for the owners and casino operators, not for the gamblers. But if the purpose of coming here is for entertainment, that is certainly for us.
Well, that's because there's no guaranteed way to actually profit from gambling? It's not something that gives you a monthly paycheck every month, it's simply something reliant on luck. imo, what was listed was activities that could let you gamble more, or could let you efficiently use the time and money you've spent in gambling compared to, well, just regularly gambling the money itself to the casinos.

I see a lot of users who swear by making money from advancing your profile to a higher level of rewards.  This requires a lot of gambling, so it seems like people use low risk games to try and inflate their wagered numbers to earn more rewards.  This seems like it could be risky but does appear to work for some individuals.  Personally, I think the best way to maximize profit is to stick with sports gambling for games/events where you are knowledgeable and feel you might have an edge over the typical gambler.  I'd urge people to stay away from other tactics like The Martingale strategy, that appear to work until they don't and you lose all your funds...

It would be interesting to see some proof of their earnings beyond words (everyone likes to show off even when they lose they make up reasons to do it). Such earnings seem initially illogical to me - advancing your profile gives meager bonuses and earnings compared to the amount of money that you have to use in bets to get them.
True, higher rewards simply incentivize you to spend more by making you imagine that you'd get more compared to what you spent. In some cases it could happen really (if you're bet amount vs profit is about the same), but it isn't really like that most of the time imo.
2222  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for June on: June 04, 2022, 10:30:55 AM
I'm on the no side here, though that doesn't mean that I expect the market to go up this month. Imo we're going for a stable month this June, we're definitely going to hover around 30k though, probably wouldn't go past 32k or so for the time being. We'd probably have to wait till the last quarter before any noticeable change happens, and I honestly think it just takes one push for the market to go zoom back up after a 50% drop from the ATH. Preferably after I buy more though.
2223  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The digital ID for Gambling on: June 04, 2022, 08:26:18 AM
The idea honestly looks good, but I still think it wouldn't really last. It might be for the checking identities and all of that, but said measures have already been taken in the past and nothing has really changed imo.  Underaged gambling is still possible and the first and foremost goal of these kinds of policies is to pretty much ensure that they get the money (aka taxes) from gamblers.
Looks like Denmark is trying to take more control of the gambling industry. I am wondering if this is really only protect kids from having access to casinos, or if they want to make sure that no one is cheating the government, and everybody is paying taxes.
Probably all of the above? It's enforcing KYC more but honestly, I don't really mind when it comes to gambling, especially if it wasn't really crypto casinos (since those, I'd at least have some expectations that it isn't KYC locked, though that's like the small minority really).
2224  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the golden rule of investment? on: June 04, 2022, 06:44:10 AM
I mean the subject here (those two friends) are just looking for someone to blame imo. Your friend isn't really accountable, at least not fully anyway. Not only that, but there's also the fact that they missed the idea of diversifying their portfolio so as to avoid the huge losses one could get in these exact scenarios. Always think of ways you could avoid potential losses, and not how to maximize your profits when it comes to investing, especially in a volatile market like crypto.

And honestly, if you (or anyone else you know) were to give financial advice, it'd probably be better to NOT do it instead. If they're curious, let them find out about it. They may see you as a snob for not sharing, but they only really see the positives and turn a blind eye to the negatives.
2225  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason why I put all my money in Bitcoin as a newbie on: June 04, 2022, 01:10:30 AM
Probably don't do that? If it was solely for crypto investments portfolio then I guess it's okay but if it's overall investments then you should really widen your portfolio and start investing in say, stocks or others. It isn't really a great idea to invest only on one asset/investment, even if we do consider how good of a project said the investment is. As for altcoin investment, you can try investing in them but never let it stay for too long. Most altcoins are carried by hype so once a certain period passes, it just goes and buries itself down to the ground.
Tell me why shouldn't I consider putting everything in Bitcoin as that is the only stable coin on the stock market right now and if you don't guide yourself properly you will make the mistake of putting money into some altcoins whose outcome is always uncertain and highly risky just like Luna did to it, investors.
Bitcoin isn't a stablecoin though? If you mean a "stable investment" then that's why I'm saying if it's solely for your crypto portfolio then yes, feel free to invest in Bitcoin since it's a lot better than any other altcoin out there in the long term, but if you can find altcoins you think are good investments, then feel free to invest in them. But for your overall investment portfolio, try investing in something else other than crypto, say stocks. The saying "Don't put all your eggs in one basket" has always been apt in investing since it means diversifying your portfolio and reducing the risks involved if the market ever crashes.
2226  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason why I put all my money in Bitcoin as a newbie on: June 03, 2022, 06:14:03 PM
It's not that Bitcoin has never crashed, it's that compared to the crashes, Bitcoin's market even in the long term still holds some guarantee that you can profit compared to other altcoins just from looking at its decade of history. It's a tried and tested investment so to speak. You'd never go wrong with investing on it for the long term, short term is another thing though since shorting Bitcoin is like shorting any other coin out there, unknown, risky, volatile, etc.

Yes all altcoins. Show me any alt with actual real world utility. And a few stores in the world accepting them doesn't count - there should be millions of active users to qualify a coin as having some utility.

This idea that there are good altcoins is precisely how shitcoins still manage to trick people, even after all these years of thousands of failed coins - shitcoins just convince people that they are one of the "good projects".
That's the catch. The entire project is about tricking people. Now who gets who first is the real question there.
2227  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mentor experience in crypto trading. on: June 03, 2022, 04:26:57 PM
Not really no. And it costed quite a lot I must say, both in terms of time and money spent.A mentor could help in reducing that though, and also advise on developing the proper mindset and mentality when it comes to trading, saving a lot of time and money. Not to mention it doesn't only help early on, but also later as well with the connections you've made.

Not that I'm complaining really. At the very least, it made me have that experience of learning crypto on my own and knowing how to react to stress and emotional experience that I got when I started trading. It's still a pretty good experience for me if I do say so.
2228  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Effectively Maximize Profits from Online Crypto Casinos on: June 03, 2022, 11:53:52 AM
2 is the strategy used by most people to win against the house afaik, there was even a case where the player talked with the casino to remove the house, not really sure for the duration(since he was a usual player and played in the casino for so long, so can be considered as a user perk). Plus, it gives free plays for you to do, so it's something to naturally take advantage of. 3 is something you do in anything that involves expenses imo, and 4 and 5 are pretty much dependent on what you yourself play. And in the case of 4, it doesn't necessarily increase the chances sometimes since games like slots aren't really skill reliant.

Do you have any surefire strategies that works for you which is not in the list above?
Does not gambling count?
2229  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID had widened the gap between world's richest and poorest on: June 03, 2022, 08:25:15 AM
It's something that simply became more apparent since the source of money for the majority of the families in the lower classes was cut off abruptly, with them left to only accepting the stimulus support from the government. Rich people/families on the other hand had the chance to extend their hands to businesses that were booming during the pandemic such as pharmaceuticals, online selling, and other stuff that was the trend during the pandemic. It's like there was a pause button (heck it was even decreasing imo) for the poor while the rich had a fast-forward button.

Not that I'm saying the cause was only the pandemic, it just gave more opportunities for those with extra money to do business compared to ones who live from paycheck to paycheck.
2230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What NFT do you recommend to keep an eye on? on: June 03, 2022, 03:33:22 AM
None. If you were to pick one, pick the one that's the most hyped-up right now and relatively new. I reckon you can make a profit off of it if you were an early investor and people are relatively interested in it. Don't get any NFT projects that are pretty old, they're market is pretty much dead since the hype is all gone and honestly, that's what most NFT's are built up off, so without that, you'd probably just lose money if you were to try and hold on to it. I don't think hodling with NFT's are even a thing, it's probably one of the most "not" to do things in the nft space.
2231  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chipotle now accepts crypto payments (only in US stores for now) on: June 02, 2022, 03:02:54 PM
One may say that it's not a real deal as they will do it via 3rd party service (in this case Flexa) but its a good news nevertheless and a step in right direction.
I reckon most businesses who would start accepting Bitcoin would always start using 3rd party services. I don't think they'd ever get the mindset to provide a system themselves when third-party services exist, not to mention that it would only incur more(probably) on their side if they were ever to provide their own.

I imagine that since payment has to be made through Gemini or SPEDN app all payments will be KYC controlled. I don't know, it always sounds like good news that you can pay in BTC in more places but if so it doesn't seem so good to me.
KYC will always follow payments via businesses imo. That isn't going to disappear anytime soon even if businesses accommodate payments with crypto.
2232  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone explain what is the value of meme coins? on: June 02, 2022, 12:58:01 PM
Hype. That's it. It may seem odd, or weird, but that's how the market goes. And investors with a lot of money can basically use that hype to well, hype it more up so that they can profit in the end by baiting new investors. It's basically a manipulation of the entire market of that certain coin imo, and honestly even if new investors realize that it's full of hype, it is a fact that they can make profit off of it if they were able to enter early on. Now the hard thing is figuring out that "early" part since really, most of the time they're already too late.
2233  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: friendly and profitable board for beginners, have you realized it? on: June 02, 2022, 11:17:08 AM
Good for you, but that doesn't mean that predictions in the said thread could always bring profits to others. Give yourself some credit OP, you finding that certain prediction on that big thread and trusting it enough to bet on it deserves some credit, at least on your part. I myself have scoured among threads when it comes to eSports tourneys but I've never really adopted a stance where I'd follow a prediction of a fellow forum member. At most, I'd consider it, but most of my decision making were made depending on what I know about the team myself.
2234  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFT slot Machine !! on: June 01, 2022, 06:39:01 AM
It's interesting enough but is the NFT included in any say, idk, usable towards something e.g. a community or metaverse of sorts for that specific casino? Or is it just something like say, a collectible of sorts? Either way, it's an interesting way to use or adopt NFTs for gambling (or slot machines specifically). But that's about it, it's only interesting, not something that would actually attract customers/users in the long term, especially if said NFT doesn't exactly do anything or can be used for anything other than being a collectible.
2235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Depression Starts in Cryptocurrency Anytime on: June 01, 2022, 01:05:54 AM
It's something natural. You're losing something you're expecting to win, and with the involvement of money, you're expectations are naturally boosted, so the loss is naturally bigger than normal. It's not only in cryptocurrency really, anything that you do that you create expectations for would naturally bring depression to you when you fail to achieve that certain result that you want or expected. It's probably just quicker here in investing or in the crypto market specifically due to how volatile the market is, aka the scenarios where you expect to profit happen way more (and so as the situations where you lose money).
2236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another example is how greed destroy crypto investors. on: May 31, 2022, 11:55:22 AM
Nothing bad with it I think, just that greed on well, projects that you know would probably fall off in the long term isn't that good. Greed isn't necessarily bad, imagine if you pulled out when you made 5x more when you invested again, that's a result of your greed. You just made a mistake in judging on how long you should hodl it, and honestly, if it comes to altcoins, I'd almost always sell after making a profit, even if it was rather small, especially if it was a new project. Most of them are just full of hype and manipulated so whales could profit imo.
2237  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Old Casino Keep Up Without Support Here In Bitcointalk Or Signature Campaign on: May 31, 2022, 03:46:06 AM
I think in order to stay credible you have to stay active in these forums, however you might be able to get away without paying for a signature campaign or other advertising. It's going to have a proportional effect on your bottom live though, that's why such forms of advertising are so popular here - not only do they give your casino name more exposure, they will directly generate a sizable return on investment.
I think those are two different things though? Casinos can still be credible without being active in the forum. They just have to stay active in replying to their customers' queries and questions and that's about it. Now whether those answers would be using this site, email, or whatever various methods they could employ, it would in no way affect the credibility that they actually have. I do agree with how advertisements are popular here, they're pretty much another method to open up your site to potential customers.
2238  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do sportsbook does not apply parlay on the same event? on: May 30, 2022, 02:05:24 AM
I'm pretty sure any case of a sportsbook not allowing anything regardless of the type/event, like what you said OP, simply means that the results wouldn't really be fair in terms of the profit given and received by them. They may be a business for gambling for the users, but they're still a business in the end which aims to make a profit, so naturally, they would avoid scenarios where the rewards given to the users would result in a loss for them.

It might be allowed on some specific events though, not that I'm familiar with most (if not all) of them.
2239  Economy / Gambling / Re: HELP WITH BETTING! BETTING FOR YOU! MAKE MONEY WITH ME! on: May 28, 2022, 06:12:19 PM
Unless you provide some method of verification that we can trust you or something, then there's absolutely no way your service is going to be accepted. Not to mention that it's also a service that offers to bypass restrictions, you're going to have fewer people who'd be willing to accept such a risk. You'd probably have better chances trying for people close to you or at the very least, who know you enough to actually trust you without presenting any actual proof other than your words.
2240  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever thought of doing your thesis on Gambling ? on: May 28, 2022, 02:58:22 PM
Well if I had a course that somehow studies the mentality or something, then yea sure why not. Just that my mentality on what is ethical and not ethical is kind of straightforward and is pretty much based on what I believe it is to be, so I don't think there's going to be any deep diving that could go on there. Not to mention that I think it was simply awarded because of the idea behind it, and that is an avid prevention to loot boxes, which is imo, can almost be called gambling (meaning I don't consider it as one, but it's right at the border imo).
