Malware in those links.  My AV just went crazy.
Your AV is crazy. Those are just YouTube videos. Roll Eyes
2242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin confirmations times are taking over 4 EFFING HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: April 30, 2015, 06:15:47 AM
Why it took so long to confirm the 0BTC fee transaction is disconcerting. I'll go back to what a said - a fucking 300 baud modem is faster.
A 300 baud modem won't do any good for someone who doesn't pay their phone bill. Roll Eyes
2243  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin confirmations times are taking over 4 EFFING HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: April 30, 2015, 03:12:33 AM
Yeah, the sombitch finally confirmed after about 24 hours. Still not exactly sure why. If it was b/c of a low or zero fee, that's still horseshit. There's alot of confusion around fees etc.
There's no confusion at all. I am exactly sure why it took so long for your transaction to be confirmed, and I told you why. Smooth told you that I told you. He then repeated what I told you and so did DannyHamilton, twice. Why ask a question if you're not going to read the answer?
2244  Other / Off-topic / Re: On encryption on: April 30, 2015, 02:55:40 AM
Ok, not the same length but the length isn't known in advance.
Huh. I thought it was. I guess with larger files it's close enough to make no difference. As you point out, it doesn't matter anyway.

I'm tipping you a beer, or something like that Wink.
Cheers. Grin
2245  Other / Off-topic / Re: On encryption on: April 29, 2015, 03:13:53 AM
The problem I see with this, is that it's obviously encrypted.
It is obvious, but not for the reason you think. Entropy analysis will reveal that the file is either encrypted or compressed, and the fact that it lacks the headers of any compressed file format rules out the latter.

Another issue with this is that, by trying to decrypt, we get an error when the password is incorrect but a good result then the password matches:
No, you don't. You get an error when the password results in invalid block padding. There is a 1 in 256 chance that an incorrect password will be valid, and "successfully" produce a decrypted file of the same size as the original, but filled with entirely random data, and no way to know anything went wrong.
2246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin confirmations times are taking over 4 EFFING HOURS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: April 27, 2015, 08:47:53 AM
Blocks are not taking 4 hours, and absolutely nothing is wrong with the network. The problem is the fact that your payment spends funds from an unconfirmed transaction that remains unconfirmed because no transaction fee was paid. The second transaction transaction cannot be confirmed until the first one is, and the first one may be delayed indefinitely. Either your wallet software is incompetently designed (in which case you should report this incident to the developers of said software) or you have deliberately created an illegitimate transaction chain for whatever reason.

So are u recommending scientist-cops?  so they can properly identify the molecule as well as arrest you?
Don't you know? We already have scientist-cops for exactly that reason.
2248  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Exercise 'not key to obesity fight' on: April 26, 2015, 03:45:29 AM
I really hope one day they'll finally come up with definitive answers re weight loss and nutrition, or just shut up completely.
We have a definitive answer. It's "eat less and exercise more". But this answer is unpopular as it requires effort on the part of the obese person, hence why nobody will shut up about specific things that are "bad for you" (sugar, fat, cholesterol, whatever) as though merely swapping these for different things (which are invariably equally bad) will help. Then they wonder why it doesn't.
2249  Other / Off-topic / Re: Will you support Drug-World? on: April 26, 2015, 03:23:34 AM
Are you on drugs now?   Wink
No, he just thinks selling drugs isn't illegal for some reason.

Its only illegal to Buy drugs.  Not sell drugs.

It's not clear why he thinks that. Presumably it's the same kind of thinking that thinks Valium isn't a drug. Does he think it's candy, or what?
2250  Economy / Gambling / Re: PLAYTIN - Casino Exchange Wallet Trading on: April 24, 2015, 06:48:56 AM
Did you get an answer from them?
Nope. It seems that as soon as you deposit a few hundred coins, they lock you out and cease all communications. On a sliding scale of incompetence versus malevolence, I have to call it a scam.
2251  Other / Off-topic / Re: Scientific proof that God does and doesn't exist? on: April 24, 2015, 02:47:57 AM
Is this supposed to be a real discussion or some troll thread?
The latter. Read the topic title carefully. How can God both exist and not exist?
2252  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [VOTE] Did gov agencies promote MD5 as secure when they knew it was not? on: April 23, 2015, 05:28:21 AM
Nobody is probably going to argue that Microsoft does not strictly follow U.S. government cryptography security standards.

Microsoft does not strictly follow any standards. Everybody knows that.

2254  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: What are the upper limits on block time? on: April 22, 2015, 04:39:35 AM
Would making a blockchain that has the difficultly target 1 week be too long for any reason?
Too long for what? For an interplanetary currency with miners as far away as Eris? Sure, one week sounds like a good target. Maybe even two. Call it ten Earth days. The speed-of-light delay would make anything shorter than that infeasible. However, we don't have an interplanetary economy, and nobody here on Earth is willing to wait weeks for confirmations, so I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish.

I'm thinking that maybe issues with miners getting off and online would cause problems?
No. Why would it?

Is there someway to use smaller blocks but throw away all of them except for the ones that are one week apart?
No. Timestamps can be faked. Only the block hash can determine if a block is valid. This means that you will occasionally get blocks very close together, resulting in orphaned blocks from miners on distant planets. This is unavoidable and happens with Bitcoin, too (except for the part about distant planets, obviously).
2255  Economy / Economics / Re: My bank account's got robbed by European Commission. Over 700k is lost. on: April 21, 2015, 12:47:17 PM
How would the police solve the problem if this is the European Union and/or Governments who "stole" his money?!
They own the police in their pockets, literally.
you don't get it, do you? This is legal theft. The police are on the dark side, too.
It's sig spam. They saw the word "robbed" in the subject and posted sentences related to that word with no regard to whether they make sense in context. I'd say it's a bot, but I've seen too many humans fail Turing tests to be sure.
2256  Other / Politics & Society / Re: How do lawyers cop with helping a (proofed) child rapist walk free on: April 19, 2015, 03:04:29 PM

How is he a "proofed" child rapist if the prosecution "lost crucial evidence"? Huh
2257  Other / Off-topic / Re: I know there is no such thing as 'free energy' but what if it was possible? on: March 31, 2015, 01:50:08 AM
I have the right to express my opinion publicly. Do you have a problem with that?
Opinions are like arseholes. Everyone has one and they all stink.

Science is logic, and relativity is illogical, without results. I have the right to disagree with relativity.
And I have the right to point out that your opinion in particular is more full of shit than most people's. Relativity is entirely logical and, more importantly, it does produce results.

Vod, I'm surprised at you. Such sexist double-standards have no place on this forum. Tongue
2259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: [Tool] Open 8333 port on NAT devices on: March 11, 2015, 12:47:11 AM
Huh What is the purpose of this tool? All it does is use UPnP to tell the router to forward port 8333, which is completely useless since Bitcoin Core automatically does this already. If Bitcoin Core can't forward the port by itself (usually because the router doesn't support UPnP), neither can your tool.
2260  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 BTC+ binary options needed on: March 06, 2015, 04:46:28 AM
ĦAy, chihuahua! No, I don't want to be the seller, though I might do it anyway for the right price (though the same could be said for anything I don't want to do). What I can't figure out is why anyone would want to be the buyer in such volume. It just doesn't make sense.
