Cristiano Ronaldo will be a substitute or on the bench this weekend against Brighton because Erik Ten Hag is frustrated with him. Despite his desperate attempts to leave United before Sunday, Cristiano Ronaldo hasn't been able to find a team. Is there anything they can do? He would have been shipped away by Manchester United. As an alternative, United could extend his contract by a year, then loan him to another Champions League team with a sale option.
I can't disagree with you that Ronaldo will not start for Manchester United against Brighton this weekend, as a matter of fact i don't think he will even play, he'll prolly not be in the match squad, but we will see. Cristiano Ronaldo hasn't trained too much with the team, remember he wasn't part of their pre-season games, and the last game he played was only about 45 minutes, so Ronaldo imo is far from full match fitness, even Erik will know that, and as a strict boss that he is, he will know Ronaldo can't be involved this weekend.

Having said that, i don't think Ronaldo will leave this summer, he wants to leave, but who wants to buy him? I haven't seen any team that look interested yet, Manchester United have kept on saying they do not want to sell him, but even if they change their mind and agree on him leaving the club, where's the team that will take him. Ronaldo should prolly come to reality and forget about an exit and concentrate on the season ahead of him.
2262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: August 02, 2022, 10:37:57 PM
Indeed. Real Madrid, Atletico, and Barcelona are always the candidates for the winner of La Liga each season. But the team like Sevilla and Real Betis cannot be underestimated, they sometimes can give a surprise. So, I think La Liga is still a competitive league, the winner is still unpredictable although the candidates are clear enough. For this season, Barcelona seems to have a bigger chance to win.
Tbh, Sevilla or Real Betis can't win the laliga this season, the top three teams are much stronger than they are, giving them absolutely no chance of being laliga champions. Having said that, i think Barcelona are now strong enough to compete for the laliga title again, it was an easy ride for Real Madrid last season, but it'll not be so this season, with the acquisition of Lewandowski, Kounde, Raphinha, etc, Barcelona are ready to challenge for the title and prolly even go far in the CL.

I think 50 million for Cucurella is too much, I know he is good but in terms of achievements and recognition he is way below that price tag, I was expecting an amount around 30 million to be asked by Brighton. Just one or two season performance does not earn him that value in the market. Chelsea are desperately in need of side backs as they are about to lose Alonso and Azpilicueta so they want to get a replacement as quick as possible that's why they will consider that amount okay for Cucurella.
Way too much in my opinion as well, City were the ones initially interested, but they basically just walked away when it became certain that Brighton were just out to make real money from their star man, sticking with that £50m asking price, tbh, i see no reason why Cucurella should cost that much, he hasn't done too much for s sustained period/for many seasons, i know we have a crazy transfer window in football now, and i guess it is what it is.

Having said that, Chelsea are ready to pay the asking price, so i am pretty sure they will get their man very soon, for City they will have to look elsewhere for another left back, or stick with playing Joao Cancelo in that position, and prolly promote one of the academy boys for backup, Nathan Ake can also play in that position, so they didn't miss out on too much.
2265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 02, 2022, 08:02:21 PM
Manchester City also probably said that they are going to let this player go if they receive a suitable offer.
Did City really say that, i am not aware of it anyway, but the thing is this, clubs usually sell players if they are offered something they really can't reject, and if the player is willing to leave too, now which team will be willing to offer City the kind of money that will not make them think twice about selling Bernado, definitely Barcelona cannot, they have spent quite a lot of money already this summer, another marquee signing will prolly put them in trouble.

Having said that, City should not have any reason to even sell Bernado, he is a regular in the team and his contributions are second to none, i actually think if they are to sell someone from their midfield it should be Gundogan, though he won't leave for too much money; City should put all of this news surrounding Bernado Silva to bed and focus on the season, they already started poorly against Liverpool last week, so they won't want too much things distracting them right now.

2267  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why People Use Bitcointalk on: August 02, 2022, 04:01:33 PM
Bitcointalk forum speaks for itself and I regret joining it late despite participating in many other forums that are less productive. I downgraded the forum in my mind having known it about three years ago.
It is never too late, so no regrets, the information available on bitcointalk can be found by any person whenever they join, the topics might have been buried by newer ones, but you can simply resurrect them by searching for it and studying what you seek. Some knowledgeable users might have left the forum before you joined, and some more will leave before others join in the future, sadly they will not be able to impact positively going forward, but whatever information they have made available can be found by searching; i somewhat like the idea that even if i leave the forum, what i post will still remain, and will be available to all, even guests, it is a great feeling.
2268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 01, 2022, 08:08:33 PM
I believe Christiano Ronaldo will remain professional as he continues to play for Manchester United regardless of the current situation and speculations about him wanting to leave the club. Ronaldo is a big player and he understands what it means to be called a professional so he will commit to the club and put in his best to the growth and good of the club until the end of his contract.
There are no questions as to whether Ronaldo would act like a professional that he is, i know he usually has this tantrums when things aren't going his way, but i am pretty sure he will know what it means to be bound to a team by contract, he is a big player and a United great, he would not want to spoil all that by getting on the club's nerves, or forcing them to fine him, yes he wants to leave, but it will have to follow a process, as all parties want to make sure that they do not fall in the receiving end of things.

Ronaldo's stance that he wanta to leave still remains the same i think, at least that was what i heard on Sky Sports news, and United are also maintaining their position that they aren't selling him, what i actually find funny is how all of this is dragging on and the league starts in a couple of days, and Manchester United do not look ready at all, there is so much going on with Ronaldo and Frankie De Jong, the distraction is really crazy tbh. I can't wait to see if Ronaldo will be available for Manchester United when they play Brighton at the weekend
2269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which token should I use for my investment ? on: August 01, 2022, 04:30:23 PM
Can anyone tell me which token should I use for my investment which will give me profit in a short time as I am investing for the first time?
Well there are quite a lot of reasons why you shouldn't ask people to help you choose a coin to invest in, more often than not they will advise you to buy coins that they themselves are hodling, please do your own research and make up your mind, i see this request of yours as being unnecessary and also risky to you. Having said that, remember that short term coins are quite risky projects to invest in, you might be lucky, and you also could be unlucky, eliminate the feeling of coming into the network to get rich quick, so you will not be mad at yourself when things do not go as you planned.

Thanks a lot for welcoming us. Actually in this forum there are a lot of beginners like me.But they are not conscious about there security and they just come here to join bounties like me. But I like to learn from here. Its a advice to everyone that learn first before joining bounties.
You are not following your own advice, look at your post history, all you have there is bounty reports, even after you made this post you went right back into the bounty section of the forum, i am surprised as to the the fact that you are aware there are much better things to gain in the forum than bounties, but you just can't stop it. Well it remains your decision, but at least if you must advise others, you should start by being that 'change' yourself.

I know say we get undergraduates for here, i believe say una don hear the news, ASUU hold meeting today and them don reach agreement say the strike go continue indefinitely, this new week wey we enter so go make am two weeks now since Mr President give minister of education order say make the baba end the strike in two weeks, i see no sense in that though, instead of Mr President to attend to the demands of the union, the baba they give order to minister to end the strike, how is the minister going to make it possible, it just shows lack of desire and interest on the part of our government to do anything about this industrial action by ASUU even after many months of students sitting at home.

Wetin una think about this matter so, you believe say this strike fit reach next year, abi our government no go like make students they for house as election they approach as e no go too speak well about yeye APC, as for our undergraduates here, how the strike take they affect you, abi most of una don put hand into other businesses, so tey una no even care about ASUU wahala again.

As you already know Chelsea are looking for selling Timo Werner as he is willing to leave as well. There can be another team to go for signing him now because Chelsea have offered him to Real Madrid according to some rumours. Mariano Diaz is the only substitute for Benzema in the team now. They were interested in signing a striker some time ago actually. Maybe they can think of signing Werner seriously. He would most probably be a rotation player but he might be very useful if he adapts to the league.
If i were Timo Werner, i'd definitely not go to Real Madrid, but it is up to him anyway. Why would he decide to a move to a team where his playing time will be very much limited, he is still very young (26 years), and even if things didn't go too well for him at Chelsea, he still has a promising career ahead of him, all he has to do is work harder and be more focused, and most importantly, he has to go to a team that he will be a starter/regular.

Having said that, i doubt that any big team will sign Werner for now as their main striker, that is why i think Madrid is a bad move for him, as he can't displace Benzema, thus Werner might have to move to a smaller team, but that is not a bad move, previously we've seen players who lost their confidence move to smaller teams, performed excellently well and then moved back to a big team; thus Werner can take a shot at that, what matters now is for him to start playing and start performing too, if he can start doing that consistently, then big teams will approach him again.
2273  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 01, 2022, 08:53:36 AM
The Community Shield match gave us an opportunity to observe the biggest favourites of this season. They both seemed quite solid also but Manchester City were just the unlucky side. Liverpool did a big job there by a 3-1 victory and it was good to see Nunez scoring already. Many people including me expected the same from Haaland too and he was nearly doing it in the last minutes. But anyway this is still not a problem for him and he already showed how much he was determined in this match.
Well, i actually do not think City were unlucky, Liverpool were obviously the better side and they deserved the victory that they got, but i am pretty sure Pep and his boys would not think about this one too much, they will just take it as a mere pre-season game, shake off the loss and go about their business of winning games in the EPL, when it starts this weekend.

Haaland had about three good chances to score that day, but he could not just stick the ball in the net, i know he will feel a little bit bad and it might affect his confidence a little because two of those chances were pretty much him and a gaping goal, so it was even harder to miss than score, well the City camp know how to get their groove back, so i am pretty sure Pep and the team will help Haaland forget about that day and focus on more important titles and games coming up. City still remain my favorite to win the league this season.
2274  Other / Meta / Re: [CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity on: August 01, 2022, 07:10:07 AM
I think it's time for some of them to get their own Local boards from theymos and moderators, but they need to be more active and update their request topics in Meta (if they have them).
Yeah we do have our request threads, i am talking about the Nigerian local thread now, though the threads have not been bumped in a while, but i think Theymos is well aware of them:
Request for Nigerian local board
Help end this phase for Nigerians @Theymos
They are consistently being active for some time, even more than other local boards that exist for a long time, so I am giving them my support.
Thanks for your support mate, we also have our [Charts] Monthly overview of the unofficial Nigerian local Board for Theymos, moderators and users to easily track how active the local thread is. Hopefully, he will grant the request soon.

Having said that, nice work @Rikafip for another of this report, keep it up mate.

Depay should have chosen a club that would give him more places in the squad. I don't know why he didn't want to leave Barcelona. because Juventus is not a small club that will be in arrears of salary. if he stays at Barcelona, maybe Depay will get very few opportunities to enter the main squad.
This reminds me of Bale at Real Madrid.
Whilst Depay's situation at Barcelona might not go as bad or grow to the level of Bale's at Real Madrid, i still think he will struggle to break into the Barcelona team with all the signings that they have made, Depay was somewhat their star man last season after Lionel Messi left and the club were in a pretty bad shape, the club looks to be in a better shape now, and they have acquired quality star players, thus Depay is definitely set to lose his prominence. Depay prolly wants to see what his situation is like from now till January, and if he isn't happy at all, i believe he will push for an exit in January.
2276  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: July 31, 2022, 09:32:28 PM
I think Erling Haaland is arguably a better striker than Nunez but we have to admit that Nunez has had a very good start to his career in England. Haaland's performance will undoubtedly improve if Manchester City manages to adapt their chaotic play structure to the classic number 9 Erling Haaland.
They are both fantastic strikers with very impressive numbers for their former teams, they have both moved to England, with each signing for one the two main rivals for the EPL title, hence the reason why the comparison between the two strikers is a hot debate over the internet for weeks now, but tbh, i would try not to compare them, i think their styles differ a little bit, and they are playing for teams who approach the game in a different manner.

Having said that, whilst i believe Haaland will definitely adapt and score lots and lots of goals, i kinda fear for him more than i do for Nunez, Guardiola is known to be a tinkerer and a 'football philosopher', it might prolly just take Haaland a little longer to get to play in the Pep style, i might be wrong, and i honestly hope i am wrong, but it is a possibility. Liverpool just play direct football, and that won't take Nunez time to understand, he will enjoy that type of pattern as many balls will find its way to him in the box, we just have to wait and see who comes out on top at the end of the season.
2277  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 31, 2022, 08:15:40 PM
Manchester City have denied they are willing to sell Portugal midfielder Bernardo Silva, 27, to Barcelona after reports his departure could fund a deal for Lyon's Brazil midfielder Lucas Paqueta. Does this mean that Silva is staying in Manchester or is it just a negotiating tactic?  Cheesy
I don't think Manchester City have any reason to sell Bernado Silva, he is a very important player for City, especially in the way Pep wants them to play, i am pretty sure Silva is staying at the Etihad, and even if City are to sell Silva, he will cost so much, and Barcelona can't afford him, they have spent so much money this summer already, but the Blaugrana club have been pulling up surprises this summer transfer window, so they could still do one more. Grin

Having said that, i am not aware of City's interest in the player you mentioned, i doubt City are interested in any more attacking players/midfielders, for now i think they have one more deal to complete which should be the end of their summer business, and that is to get a left back, Cucurella is the selected one, but Brighton are asking for too much, City might explore other options elsewhere soon.

As for now i think we have touched the bottom, so i voted yes in the poll, i am not saying we are out of the bear market, cause we aren't, but btc might have touched the bottom and we prolly aren't going that down again in this period, but well who knows, quite a lot of things and some bad news too whilst we are still in this bear market and we could see Bitcoin at $17,000 again or below.
2279  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Random tips for beginners/newbies. on: July 31, 2022, 04:55:16 PM
If I didn't say anything wrong, you seem to imply that forums are open but now it takes more time to acquire skills which is why many people don't get success from forums. find important to follow the posts of senior members on forums and build communication skills from them. New members misunderstand many things and I think if the seniors here help the juniors then the new members can get success a bit faster.
Of course the forum is open/free to everyone, except users that have been banned, the forum doesn't censor anybody or prevent users from registering here, though sometimes you have to pay an evil IP fee. Users should just do things at their own pace, no need to rush, nor is there a need for a special skill, just follow the rules that are here. There isn't necessarily any particular skill that is prerequisite to joining Bitcointalk; i know most of us either loved Bitcoin before joining, or it turned out we began to love the network after joining, but even if you hate Bitcoin, the forum would not censor your posts, we have had trolls here and still do.

Having said that, a user just has to try as much as possible to be constructive when making a post (that is the most important skill imo), and try to learn in areas that they are lacking, you do not necessarily have to follow "senior members", the search button is there for you to look for what you need, search, read and learn, if you do that, you would not have to ask too many questions or even need any guidance from senior members. For example, most times new members get here and start asking what is merit, activity, ranks and the rest, that thread could only have been avoided if they had used the search button to find their answers.
2280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu Long-Term Holders Are Increasing as Investors Shift Focus on: July 31, 2022, 02:49:28 PM
I know there are quite a lot of people who believe in shiba coin, whom want to hold the meme coin for the long term, but honestly i wouldn't do that, that does not mean i own any of the coin, but even if i did, i will not categorize a meme coin like it to be a long term project or to be sustainable for many years ahead. Investors that want to get rich pretty fast might think they have hit 'gold' with this meme coin, but it is prolly better to play on the safe side and sell when you can make ROI. Shiba investors might be increasing, i do not know about that, but you would also have to think of it as just hype, and imagine a scenario where the hype is gone. It is better to sell when you can make profits, than hold coins that aren't long term projects and then become a bag holder.
