Going solo sound like gambling to me.
Yeah, that's absolutely what it is. Yup. If you rent it's a HUGE risk too..

Yeah I rented some large hash for a bit too, while I could afford it. But didn't help. LOL.

I just had to vent. It's so frustrating.
MRR tends to refund a lot of rentals with bad pool setup, and support has to be contacted to return the refunded amount or to have them remove the RPI negative hit, so looks like they don't really look into rentals that get refunds in detail, just look at the 'averages' which don't mean anything as it is averaged over a short period before end of the rental.
Betarigs seems to do it on a one by one basis, so you have to contact tech support also but seems to look into detail if the renter is wrong or not.

Did we have a block solve?

For goodness sake, learn to PROPERLY configure your damn pool settings, difficulty or how you rent.
Over the past 2 weeks I've had more people rent scrypt and SHA256 rigs from me that had no clue how to properly setup a pool or how to fracking READ the rig description, where it is explained in the simplest terms how to set the rigs up.
Then they blame everything on the rig even though it was fine before and after the rental . Go figure..
LEARN TO SETUP POOLS or DO NOT RENT!

Ahh finally.

The miner that I see the stale share errors (few a day) is a 500GH/s BFL Monarch. Nothing special or new.
If it's just one rig, try it on another pool and see if it's just the miner. Quite a few mofarchs have gone dodgy by now. If it's okay on other pools, then PM me your mining address and I'll extract more debug info to see what specific rejects yours is getting. The pool configuration is unchanged for months now and should actually be lower latency than ever. Don't sweat it. I'm not worried about it. It happens a few times a day I check the miner. NO need to go hogwild over a small miner like this.

I've Been getting a LOT of stale blocks on the solo pool over the past 3 days.
Can't see anything wrong at the pool end. Last person with lots of share issues was balancing hashrate to a merged mining pool mining random shit coins. Have you changed anything recently in your setup? The miner that I see the stale share errors (few a day) is a 500GH/s BFL Monarch. Nothing special or new.

How I can confirm I am the one finding the block when using this pool? I am using cgminer. Thanks!
Short answer. In CGMiner, check your "Best Share:", if it's higher then current difficulty (DIFF: 51.1G at the moment), you probably got a valid block solve. (Might be also Stale or Orphaned meaning not valid) I've Been getting a LOT of stale blocks on the solo pool over the past 3 days.

Evening.
TD, I think i know whats going on. Your rig is ending up marked as offline for a minute or 2. Will extend the online period by a minute or 2 so it doesnt happen again.
Ahmed
Odd as in the miner config Betarigs is #1, then failover pools after. Should be ok that way. Same config on A2 terminators, SP20's, and KNC Titans I have. I noticed this about a month and a half ago starting with every type of miner. Randomly they don't show up in the list ,then they do again, after a while they are off again.

Damn guys.. I'm sorry I made a funny jab at kano about the changes affecting the pool luck.

^^ Not sure your opinion counts for anything on this one ..... It is ck who posted (during that good luck streak that coincided to an extent with the network test) that he'd made some changes to the code with the insinuation those changes were responsible for smoothing, aka improving the pool's luck during that storm. Someone else raised the query as to whether those same changes (whose announcement roughly coincided with the start of the bad luck streak) could be playing a part in the current bad luck streak.
I am sure they have looked at the code numerous times since then, doesnt stop me from pondering the question (and wondering whether the same bad luck affliction has befallen the solo pool which I assume also carries those changes).
Not sure my "opinion" counts? Well I'm not giving you an opinion, I'm stating facts. You made the "smoothing" statement, not ck. It's a couple pages back, I just found it. Those pool changes were made July 10 right before the pool went on a 14 block <100% rampage. How that coincides with the start of this "bad luck block" is beyond me, maybe you can explain? Or not, because really I don't care about your speculation. Luck is luck, nothing you can do changes it, stop pondering. Don't bother with him. He's always been a troll.

I'm having an issue again that my rig is not showing up in the list.
I refreshed the page like 10 times over 30 minutes, it's not there. Everything is good on it (Online, and price is low) so not sure why it's not coming up.
It's rig # 10680
Thnx
Could be Search settings? Ahmed should have a better answer It came up After a few more refreshes again. Odd.

Are you sure nothing is wrong? It started not solving right after the last update or whatever changes you've made. I have not seen it this long in 4 months if I remember correctly. Not a blame, but with the hash I've been sending over the past few days, it's starting to hurt....

This block is just ridiculous.

I do agree. with us paying manually at the moment its a bit more difficult to be done. In v2 a full history has already been implemented. Should be able to roll that out soon. Payments are going out in about an hour or so.
Ahmed
Great, let me know when the testing starts and if you still want me to beta it.
|
|

Yeah one of the biggest things you should add to everyone's account is a payment history with a transaction link.
Since payments are random, not after each rent is done with, it's a HUGE pita to see what has been paid and what is still missing.
