@NeuroticFish. Is that the excuse for using taxpayer's money to speculate and gamble on bitcoin? He is gambling his future in politics? That is a very head shaking argument because behind every politician's move there is always a hidden agenda. We as natives of the cryptospace and holders of bitcoin should know this by now. I am not quite certain why the community likes to defend him. Is it because he is acting very much similar to those annoying and embarassing bitcoinbros?

**Wanting to trade for RB**

I am absolutely stacked at WR. I could use an upgrade to my second RB.  Though I really like all my RBs and they have a ton of upside potential, I’m looking to move one of my WRs and RBs to someone who’s got an extra RB they’d be willing to trade that would be a slight upgrade to any of my RBs (outside Harris of course).  Someone like Aaron Jones for example is the type of back Im looking for.

Anyone interested please let me know

uhsra

Are you still looking for a running back? Raheem Mostert is presently available in the waiver wire hehehe. He is not very consistent, however, his weekly projections appear to be good enough if you use him as a back up for your team. I would add him if I did not have Rhamondre Stevenson and Antonio Gibson already hehe.

I am still looking to upgrade at RB, but I don't see Mostert as being an upgrade for any of my running backs, but I appreciate you looking out for me!

There's gotta be a taker somewhere, pair something like London and Penny or combo like that for a decently better RB.  This way your team gets a stud WR and a very solid RB.  Just keep me in mind if anyone has a need like this pop up please and thanks!

Man the Rams really showed their true colors last night.  They are just not the same team as last year.  Stafford is clearly not himself.  I think that shoulder injury that was bothering him in the pre-season is a more serious deal than they had been or are letting on.

I would not trade Penny if I had him. He will be very useful as a RB3 if one of your starting running backs is in the IR list. This is according to some fantasy players in social media hehehe.

Are you not disappointed with Najee Harris? I had him last year and he is not the same player. But it might be an attractive trade if you pair him and London for a better running back hehe.

It might be Stafford's shoulder or much of the opinions everyone made on him when he was playing for the Lions might be true? His true colors are showing?

Good luck with that chicken legs Cheesy

That would definitely crack the moment he tries to hit his shin guard to Francis Ngannoue's Shin guard, If this fight Continues I will not be Surprise if Jon Jones would lost and Ngannoue wins the fight with KO/TKO via injury like what happened with Tom Aspinall with his fight with Curtis Blaydes,

Hehehehe agreed. However this is being hyped in the some news articles and in social media already. It also appears this chicken legs will be uncle Dana's next candidate after Cyril Gane to bash Francis Ngannou. If Bones Jones is the winner, he might be much easier to control by the UFC in contract dealings. Ngannou has rejected all proposals from the UFC and as we have witnessed, he has become a problem.

On El Salvador, I have asked this before, however, I have not gotten an answer. Would it not be more advantageous for El Salvador if they used Jack Mallers' original plan for Strike of using Tether USDT as the currency and bitcoin's network as the medium of transport? I reckon Bukele would have the advantages of the dollar without owning a Federal Reserve money printer hehehe.

Time will tell. Using Bitcoin was a great advertising for El Salvador. If Bitcoin price will go again over the roof, El Salvador can even sell and get some of their problems fixed, or at least boast their performance (it would mean a couple of % of their GDP).
It is a gamble and Bukele is a high roller. But the history shows that those who did bet on Bitcoin were winning and there's a very good chance Bukele will win too.

Agreed that the bull market will return and anyone who invested in bitcoin will have a return on their investment, however, Bukele a highroller? I would not call him that. He is a government official who took the risk by using taxpayer's money to speculate on bitcoin hehe.
2265  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How can a thief benefit from his thefts? on: October 06, 2022, 03:18:25 AM
I think there are some exchanges without KYC where you can able to trade or swap tokens into privacy coins like grin coin or monero.
No one would be able to trace trace them once they trade or swap them into privacy coins.

Cryptocoin laundering through an exchange that is centralized is very risky and not very advisable, I reckon. Use a decentralized exchange that swaps Bitcoin to Monero then hold everything in Monero. If the hacker does not like everything in Monero, he can also swap from Monero to Ethereum then swap them to different Defi tokens, stablecoins or buy bluechip NFTs.

I reckon hackers that want to launder stolen funds should avoid using bitcoin as the only moneylaundering mechanism because of services similar to Chainalysis and Elliptical that are scanning all of our transactions.
2266  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: October 05, 2022, 04:56:53 AM
With a proper diet and enough time of preparation, moving to another weight division is not hard for this monster.
That's true. They have months to prepare for the fight, it's sufficient to adjust their body and train. It would be a bit different for what Inoue used to but I think it's not hard for him to adjust just incase.

It's too early to talk on that, I think moving up is easier than going down in weight, and besides, Inoue has the power and speed, that's enough to still make him a fighter to be scared of once he moves up. After this fight, if he wins, I think that's gonna be his next move, so let's just wait and see.

It's part of his possible plans, but maybe he also sees more money from this division and he's good at maintaining his weight
so we never know what's the real score is in terms of moving up.

Just how you see it, too early for discussing that and there's always a balancing thing to make a decision, he might be thinking
about it, but for now, he's focusing on winning all the belts.

We will see any update for sure if there's a move coming from Inoue's camp, but for now it will be more on this upcoming fight.

It's not really that early, besides, we won't be having this kind of speculation if Inoue himself didn't say or consider that he'll move to the next weight class if he is already finish in unifying all the belts in his current division. Talking about his chances, there is a high chance that he will move after this because majority of us here already are already convinced and thought that Inoue will be crowned as the undisputed champion rather than Butler.

Inoue was interviewed recently by the JapanTimes and this is what he said:
Quote
“From here on, I want to give performances worthy of the No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter.
“In order to do that, I need to unify the bantamweight world titles and then take on the super-bantamweight division.”
https://www.japantimes.co.jp/sports/2022/06/28/more-sports/boxing-2/inoue-pound-for-pound-bantamweight/

This is what I have been speculating! Now it will become true! Inoue clearly has the talent and he should not be another ordinary champion. He deserves a similar status to Mayweather and Pacman, I reckon.

If he challenges Stephen Fulton, Fulton should challenge Murodjon Akhmadaliev and unify the super bantamweight championships first hehehee. It will be the first time in boxing history where 2 undisputed champions will be fighting in the ring. However, if Fulton does not unify the championships in super bantamweight, Inoue might do it hehe.

Politicians and their idiotic rules.
I fully agree that underage people should not gamble. How about doing KYC during registration then?

I really don't understand what a move like this will accomplish. It just hurts legit companies that are offering legal services - because gambling is legal.

The government has been always known to control the storylines and support them with regulation to manipulate where the people spend their money and the flow of where money goes. It is presently the beginning of a recession, it would not be very shocking for everyone if the government of UK is beginning a campaign for people to throw more of their money in the lottery where they have no chance of winning hehehe. Lotteries are cash cows of the government.
2268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does everyone want bitcoin to be stable in price? on: October 05, 2022, 02:18:43 AM
Trading and speculation does not really help with adoption. Having a stable price would be really positive for Bitcoin. Compared to the US dollar, Bitcoin has not been a great store of value lately. For some people it would become less attractive because they just want the price to moon so they can buy lambos but overall having a stable price would help Bitcoin's credibility as a currency and store of value.

Agreed! A stable price for bitcoin would also help rebitcoinize the cryptospace where bitcoin would again be used to price altcoins and be used as the first choice for trading against altcoins, very much similar before 2017.

I have speculated before that stablecoins will be regulated and used by regulators to control the liquidity of how much comes in and comes out of the cryptospace. This is very dangerous and another method for them to manipulate the market. This can be avoided with bitcoin, I reckon.
2269  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-08-09] Iran makes first import order using cryptocurrency on: October 05, 2022, 01:26:17 AM
then I personally see another legal tender coming, this time, not bitcoin alone, but for cryptocurrencies - top ones.
Highly unlikely specially about altcoins!
There is a key difference between El Salvador and Iran. The former is one of the poorest countries that didn't even have their own legal tender (they use another country's fiat!), Iran on the other hand has its own currency and is among the top 10 biggest economies.

I very much agree.

On El Salvador, I have asked this before, however, I have not gotten an answer. Would it not be more advantageous for El Salvador if they used Jack Mallers' original plan for Strike of using Tether USDT as the currency and bitcoin's network as the medium of transport? 2271  Economy / Speculation / Re: Countertrading Jim Cramer on Bitcoin on: October 04, 2022, 05:45:17 AM
@adaseb. Jim Cramer might be traditional finance's version of John McAfee hehehe. All of his tweets and recommendations are for sale but instead of ICO tokens and scamcoins, he tweets on social media about stocks or talks about them on CNBC. Everyone who is arguing in his defense should begin to be more skeptical of him.
2272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does everyone want bitcoin to be stable in price? on: October 04, 2022, 04:31:57 AM
@pooya87. Stable in value against what, however? Where would we get the basis for bitcoin's value?
It is hard because value itself is mostly measured in terms of fiat and if we measure it in terms of anything else (gold, a barrel of oil, bag of potato, ...) that too can be volatile. But I suppose the best way is to measure it in terms of a combination of goods and services instead of fiat.

For example we can say bitcoin value is stable if your cost of living is 1BTC and remains that way regardless of what happens to the price ($1k to $10k to $100k to $1000k).

Agreed, it is very hard and very hard to use bitcoin as a store of value and a medium of exchange because of volatility. If you run a business, you can accept bitcoin, however, it would not be very good to hold them because of bitcoin's volatility against the currencies that are being used to pay for the business' expenses. If the argument is for the business owner to speculate on the price, that would be very head shaking if the arguers want the business owner to also become a speculator. It might bankrupt him.

In contrast to fiat, fiat is always stable because it is used as a legal tender and is always controlled by a centralized government, so fiat always remains stable at all times.
Why do you thing fiat has been always stable?
In the united states, people have to pay around 8% more for their living costs compared to last year. There are many countries even with much higher inflation rates.
Fiat has been never stable in value.

However, for the holder who has bought bitcoin when it was more than $50k, the reduction in his wallet's value has reduced by more than 50%. What if he presently needs the money because of an emergency?
2273  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-09-15] In the US conservationists want BTC to switch to PoS too on: October 04, 2022, 03:56:02 AM
@cr1776. I made a similar argument like that already, however, @Betwrong's argument based on Chainalysis' data is different. It is telling everyone that crinimal usage of bitcoin is very low. I reckon this might give the antagonizers another argument. They will also begin to say that bitcoin is a ponzi and only good for speculation without creating much value for society.

Also, if there is really a shortage of electricity, what will common society demand to be turned of first? The bitcoin miners or the things that they consider more important to them like the factories that create their goods or the banks that run their financial fiat system? We bitcoin users are only less than 1.5% of society.

Similar to Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs versus the Bucanneers, why are Matthew Stafford and the Rams the underdogs versus Jimmy G and the 49ers? I thought the Rams would be -3 favor it hehehe.

2275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does everyone want bitcoin to be stable in price? on: October 03, 2022, 05:16:49 AM
Stable price does not helpful for both investors and traders.

Investors need to see price growths to get profit so stable price can not help for investors.
Traders need high volatility in order to have waves and good entries as well as good exits to get profit. Traders would prefer to see highly volatile price, not stable price.

Because Bitcoin has four-year halving, it won't be stable for too long time. There are always highly volatile, medium volatile and very minor volatile periods in price but in general, we will see volatility.

Are you implying that bitcoin would be no use to the holders if the price becomes stable or if the price does not increase anymore?

I am not antagonizing. I am only asking everyone this challenging question that appears to have been avoided many times.

@pooya87. Stable in value against what, however? Where would we get the basis for bitcoin's value?

Also, agreed to your reply that we need bitcoin to be stable in value.
2276  Economy / Speculation / Re: Countertrading Jim Cramer on Bitcoin on: October 03, 2022, 04:29:12 AM
I am not very certain if this is a real tweet from Jim Cramer, however, it would be another comedy show if he made this on October 1 and on October 2 this news about Credit Suisse was published by Bloomberg. Jim Cramer also said something similar about Lehman Brothers before their bankruptcy on 2008.

I was reading some of the replies in of @mr_jk's thread when he asked what will happen if bitcoin's price became stable?

The replies were unexpected hehehe. Much of them argued why or how can bitcoin be stable? This makes me ask the question do much of the holders of bitcoin want the price to be stable or do they really want it be volatile? I ask this because stability makes bitcoin become a good store of value and medium of exchange. Volatility makes it good for trading and speculation.
2278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: October 01, 2022, 06:59:30 AM
The storyline of the month.

The Dolphins failed Tua Tagovailoa. Will any change come of it?

Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa left the game on a stretcher after his head was violently slammed into the ground on a sack by Bengals defensive tackle Josh Tupou in the second quarter. Tagovailoa was immediately taken to a nearby hospital. The whole scene was a nightmare.

The Dolphins immediately classified it as a head and neck injury. But the appropriate word is concussion, or more specifically, a traumatic brain injury. In case the force of the hit and the still body wasn’t indication enough, replays showed Tagovailoa fingers sprayed, almost as if he were trying to contort them.

What a sad reality how little the NFL does little to protect its players, the backbone of its brand. The NBA has started resting its stars and starters for periodic games in recent years. MLB, for all its issues, has trended toward limiting innings for its starting pitchers. While this may be due to analytics pointing to less effectiveness the third time through a batting order, less innings pitched is a net positive for arm health. The NFL, on the other hand, decided to add a 17th game because apparently the league needs more revenue streams.

Source https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2022/sep/30/tua-tagovailoa-miami-dolphins-concussion-head-injury

I am quite certain that the NFL commissioner will be forced to do something. He will declare that there will be an investigation, however, after this investigation there might only be a fine. A fine that the Miami Dolphins can pay easily, I reckon.

I almost became a fan because of Mike McDaniels.

News update on Jonny Bones Jones, only a picture hehehehehe.

I am shocked. I saw videos before, however, it did not look for Jon Jones to be this giant. This also certainly makes it appear that Francis Ngannou might have a real challenge hehe. I predict Dana to make the announcement after UFC 281.
2280  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: October 01, 2022, 05:42:29 AM
^ Hehehe, we should take everything with a grain of salt specially coming from Bob Arum. He used to promote Crawford, and if he believes he can beat him, why he didn't set up the fight? The only reason I can see is that it's it's difficult to negotiate with PBC or there is not money to be made because he says that Crawford doesn't have that huge draw. And this is one of the main reason why Crawford left him, because of this comment of him, and assuming that time that Crawford is still with Bob.

I would agree that if compared to Errol Spence, Terence Crawford does not have a larger draw. However, if Spence and Crawford were in the same ring to fight each other, they would certainly increase each other's draw. Also, who is at fault if Crawford's draw is lower? I reckon it is the promoter's fault! This superfight would also not happen if Crawford has stayed with Top Rank.

Maybe Crawford just wants to get this fight done for legacy, he is not getting any younger and he wants a legacy fight, more than the money he already earned a lot, a boxer that is getting older knows that he is only a few fights left and he wants legacy fight for reference in the hall of fame, if he wins this fight he'll get a larger share in their rematch and of course, he'll get the upper hand in standing and money, Crawford blames Top Rank for failing to secure a match against Spence he did the right thing kicking out Arum to his boxing life.

He wants this fight for legacy, however, he wants to do this more for the money, I reckon. There is no other boxing opponent that can give him the biggest purse in one fight except to challenge the other king of the welterweight division.

@wheelz1200. According to the article, Terence Crawford wants more transparency on the event's expenses. I am shaking my head, why?
