2262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can we buy with one BTC? And is buying something with BTC worth it? on: May 20, 2019, 10:12:31 AM

And this made me realized that I too have never bought anything substantial using Bitcoin directly as we usually convert our Bitcoin here to the local cash. Of course, with the cash we can buy anything we want. Bitcoin is designed as a peer-to-peer currency but this aspect is usually overlook and not given too much credit when we are talking about Bitcoin. People are more into holding and trading of Bitcoin these days. We need more merchants to be accepting Bitcoin and we need more Bitcoin holders to use their coin like cash. We would love to hear people buying cars, house and lot, big appliances, big-ticket jewelries and extravagant bags and the likes using Bitcoin (and one day maybe going to Mars can be paid by Bitcoin).
2263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the wallets you have been used in the past and currently using? on: May 20, 2019, 10:00:05 AM
I am only using Myetherwallet for my erc20 tokens and ETH ,
I also use hardware wallet for my BTC and I have used blockchain wallet before but since I bought a hardware wallet I didn't use it anymore.
I also use coinbase before and xapo for faucets.

I had the same experience. With tokens I got from many projects (especially in 2017 and early 2018), I usually used and still am using  the MyEtherWallet which is very reliable to me as long as one should not be sharing one's PK so we have to be careful with phishing sites. As for Bitcoin, I usually do not have much of that so I just left my Bitcoin with a reliable local exchange so that I can convert into the local cash anytime I wanted to. I got two accounts in Coinbase but they are just for promotions right now. I also managed to open one Xapo wallet but was not able to use it. Based on my bad experience,  am now careful with downloaded wallets because I was once a victim of a malware with that.
2264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What's Your Top Altcoin List? on: May 20, 2019, 09:49:51 AM

In the world of cryptocurrency, there is no question that Bitcoin remains to be the one and only certified King of them with 57% dominance of the market. All the rest are just called as Altcoins. However, there are good altcoins as well as shitcoins, of course. Some altcoins can be worth investing with because we are sure of their potential for future spark.

Now, having said that, here is my list of my top altcoins (in no particular order): Ethereum, BNB, XRP, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, EOS, Monero, Stellar, Dash, TRON, Cardano and Zcash.

What are the altcoins in your own list?
2265  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Seeing Potential with Nimiq? on: May 20, 2019, 09:24:35 AM

Nimiq is considered to be the browser-based platform which hoped to be a platform or a bridge towards massive adoption by getting away the usual barriers for many to get into the blockchain. Designed with simplicity, greater user-friendly experience without compromising safety, the Nimiq Protocol offer the accessible ecosystem right in your own browser and amazingly with this there is no more required installment of any other software which can then contribute a lot for its widespread adoption. Nimiq is designed to be mobile-friendly as the amount of download data required is greatly reduced and we know that people are now into mobile devices.

With just a marketcap of $5,705,366 USD as of press time but with a total supply of 4,883,445,454 NIM, do you see some growth potential of this cryptocurrency if the leadership behind is doing their job or do you think situation is now not conducive for this coin?
2266  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC has risen and fallen, when will TNB rise this year? on: May 20, 2019, 09:03:25 AM
Same thing that everyone is asking everywhere ,the fact is some experts believe that altcoins won't surge in price like the past bullrun ever again but I did noticed something in the past, altcoins don't surge right after bitcoin start surging ,not immediately ,it takes time even month before altcoins start appreciating on value ,remember last DEC 2017 bullrun? Altcoins favours mostly on Jan 2018

With altcoins the name of the game is patience and time. Unlike the bitcoin, the market is not right now into many relatively unknown alts unless the people behind the platform are doing their homework in growing their community and making sure that people know of the many new developments happening. Information dissemination is very important for many alts so if I were a part of the devteam I will always update my supporters and practically everyone the things we are doing.  This is just a matter of herd mentality...when people sense that more are getting into a coin the more it can attract more buyers and believers.
2267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum drop below $240 again do you believe? on: May 20, 2019, 08:43:15 AM
It is possible for ETH to drop down from 240$ price if bitcoin lose values ,the fact is its because of bitcoin price surging that's why ETH was able to surge pass 200$,in crypto space anything is possible either positive or negative

We all know that as of now Eth is deriving its main strength from Bitcoin and so the direction of where bitcoin is going can be the same direction that Eth is following. That is why if there will be the bull run continuity of Bitcoin then most possibly Eth will also be going upwards. Consequently, when Bitcoin made a correction days ago, Eth had no choice but to also shed some value or price. As the unofficial heir apparent (still the one even if others are contending the throne) to bitcoin, Eth remains to be very resilient and solid lead by people we already know of. I am predicting that soon Eth will be $300 and it can happen days from now.

2269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT is dead? on: May 20, 2019, 07:48:08 AM
Hello guys, i'm still holding NXT for price 0,00007000sts. 1 year ago I don't see any of their activities, Their followers don't increase on Reddit. what should I do now?

What happened to the NXT platform can be unfortunate as this likewise possessed a good promise of a project back then. Right now, we are not sure of the things happening or if there are still good people behind this platform working for its continued innovations and adoption. This is the problem when you believe and supported what seemed to be an attractive proposition only to realize later that you are wrong. Let's hope that NXT can still be salvaged from eventual oblivion. Otherwise, maybe it is time to cut the cord.
2270  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price - Is $11,000 Next? on: May 20, 2019, 07:33:57 AM
People should not be worry, recent dump was just to retest Bitcoin supports, not because anything bad and it was proven by Altcoin. Altcoin was getting a positive trends whilst Bitcoin was bleeding. It was enough evidences to say that investors was not really afraid about Bitcoin and that was the reason why Altcoin made a killing. Nice article anyway but It's too far to talk about $11,000. We need to break $9,600 first then we can have a chance to bring the price up to more than $10,000. I strongly believe this will be easy for Bitcoin to have more positive trends in this year or next year. Perhaps starting from August we could always see a green candle on Bitcoin chart everyday.

Though there is nothing wrong with being positive with bitcoin as it is definitely now on the bull run (though this can not be completely compared with the 2017 run I guess) let's not be carried away with our excitement and think that getting to $11,000 can be easy...or will I be wrong this time? A very important aspect with bitcoin is that predicting its next moves can be difficult that's why analysts can also be wrong. But then again if I am proven wrong then I will be smiling to accept it.
2271  Economy / Economics / Jobs Created by the Blockchain & Bitcoin on: May 20, 2019, 07:19:07 AM

Whenever there is a new industry or a category of an industry is created, we can expect that jobs can be created in the process offering many good opportunities for qualified people to be a part of. In the case of the coming of the blockchain and the bitcoin, there are now new jobs which we have never seen before this industry exploded. In fact, in the past many months, some analysts reported some shortage of applicants and successful hires proving that we can be facing a bright future here.

Here are some of the jobs looking shouting out for qualified people to seriously take into: Entry level and internship positions, Blockchain project managers, Blockchain developers, Blockchain quality engineers, Blockchain legal consultants or attorneys, Blockchain web designers, Blockchain engineers.

What other jobs you know that are related to the blockchain and bitcoin?

2272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be the main currency in Mars? on: May 20, 2019, 07:03:05 AM
Hey guys, taking a break from the bull hype for a minute.

I came across this article this morning lol it was super funny but interesting at the same time...

https://cryptotradernews.com/cryptocurrency/4-reasons-why-elon-musk-should-consider-bitcoin-as-mars-currency/

Do you guys think Elon Musk could potentially make BTC the main currency in Mars?

Bitcoin can be the one and only currency that Martians will use...that is if Elon Musk will approve of the idea. Just imagine being able to send bitcoin to someone you know living in the terraformed Mars...that will be so epic and so futuristic. The only problem is that we still don't know how the idea of going and permanently living in Mars can proceed. Let's see if Elon Musk can indeed pull off this dream of leaving the Earth and arriving at Mars for good. So why not: Bitcoin for Mars not just for Earth!
2273  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC the next exchange to become insolvent customers not able to withdraw fund on: May 20, 2019, 06:51:42 AM
HitBtc has always had problems for the user to withdraw btc. It's not something that happens now, just search. This does not mean that it will close or that it will become insolvent. It's part of their business being a bad exchange, and that's why they accept so many shitcoins.

I was too wary about HitBTC when I used to trade some of the tokens I got from bounties back in 2017 and last year. The problem then is when a specific token is only trade in HitBTC so there is no choice but to work with that exchange. Just searching online can yield so many unresolved complaints against the services of this exchange. I know that HitBTC also got a name in this industry and it is boasting of a good sizable number of users but I don't appreciate the fact that their customer support is very bad. And now, it immediately changed its KYC policy and many are assuming this is just to cover the real problems of the platform. Let's hope that this will not be the next exchange that goes down the drain.
2274  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: easy bite for scammers on: May 20, 2019, 06:34:08 AM
so far Crypto market  has been very profitable source of income for scammers without been caught for example,in 2015 and 2016 we saw many ravenue share sites such as(TAT) The Ads Team,My 24 hour income and(MPA) and (MPCA) My Paying Ads  appeared and their owners scammed   million of dollars and they disappeared  without being arrested and in 2017 and 2018 new fake ico"s came again they made people fool .at least there should be a law to return the people money . it is not impossible to arrest these criminals ,all these scammers have social media profile they can be punished easily.
You wont still able to say that arresting these scammers is possible yet those social media profile being used are just dummy ones and no dumb scammer will publicly show his true identity online if the do plan on scamming on the very first place.Scam is everywhere even on and before crypto was created as long a place where do involves money there would always those criminal minds will think off some modus to gain easy money from people and crypto is a good place for them to focus due to anonymity.

Scams do happen and will happen in any industry however with the cryptocurrency industry things are getting easier for talented and intelligent hackers because now they can target big and well-oiled platforms like exchanges. The recent hacks in Cryptopia and Binance showed that the prize to successfully enter them is astronomical. Imagine getting millions of dollars worth of coins and tokens while you are thousands of miles away and you are being supported by your government (North Korea style). And of course, there are small scammers on the pond those who are concentrating on doing business in the HYIPs especially victimizing newbies to online investing and those who are plainly greedy. Scams are here to stay and they can be evolving too to evade detection and to continue on attracting new victims. This is sad but true. Yet there is nothing we can do much but just being careful not be victimized with different schemes and systems to get our wallets out.

2275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Expertise Ideas- $100,000,000 into bitcoin for 10 months :) on: May 20, 2019, 06:22:21 AM
That is a huge amount of money, and I think the best way is to buy chunks of bitcoin whenever the price drops back a little. 10 months is a long time and the market will drop at some point even if the market is recovering in a slow manner. Honestly, only whales can give you a good answer regarding this. Trading a huge amount of money intended to push the market up for 10 months is not done by normal traders.

Big can be a big problem when one has no expertise and tools available to do something about. Well, one can try to buy bitcoin at today's rate of $8,000 and when bitcoin is at $8,200 then he can immediately sell the hoard...and if the market can react and there will be a dip then buy bitcoin at a lower rate as it can grow back again. Essentially, one should be an informed and experienced trader to dispel or manage the inherent risks. Now, another problem is where to get that millions.

2277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BNB reach $50 This Year? on: May 20, 2019, 05:35:44 AM
i am really surprised with the control that Binance has over the price of this coin and their power in pumping it so far. by logic this coin had to be dumped hard for two main reasons: it was already pumped + Binance was hacked. but there was only a small dump!

you can check out price of USDT (Tether) when similar situation happened to Bitfinex. and Bitfinex is so much bigger than Binance ever was and Tether is also so much bigger than BNB ever was and can ever be. but when Bitfinex was hacked, the price of Tether tanked.

with that said, there is a good chance they are going to pump it even more this year, specially since they now have to cover the $40 million that they lost in the hack.

I am amazed likewise with how Binance seems to be not affected that much with the hack. I mean look at Cryptopia (lost around $17 million) now it is under the receivership and will soon say goodbye to the market but with Binance it remained strong and even robust after the security breach and lost of around $30 million. There is really something about Binance that maybe other exchanges do not have. Maybe one factor here is the leadership behind Binance as they managed the mess. Or maybe there can be something else...well that remains to be seen in the continuing Binance saga.
2278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Any Good Experience with TradeSanta? on: May 20, 2019, 05:14:52 AM

In today's marketplace, one can easily find many varied tips, ideas, suggestions and solutions on many problems and situations. In cryptocurrency trading, there are many who are offering free and paid signals and there are also those targeting people who do not have the time and the technical inclination to do manual trading by offering bots that can supposedly work with different situations and results.

Just today, someone invited me to take a look at TradeSanta. TradeSanta is claiming this on their website: Launch your own Crypto Trading Bot completely Free TradeSanta is a cloud trading software that allows you to take advantage of crypto market fluctuations. Connect TradeSanta to your exchange and trade 24/7 without making it a full-time job.

Anybody here who got positive experience with this service and can vouch for its viability and ability to really deliver the results we all wanted? Or is this not just hype out to victimize innocent newbies?
2279  Bitcoin / Press / [2019-05-19] Inflation Bug Still a Danger To Bitcoin on: May 20, 2019, 04:38:04 AM

Figures published by bitcoin core developer Luke Dashjr show that more than half of the full nodes in the bitcoin network are still running client software vulnerable to the inflation bug discovered in September 2018.

This revelation poses some danger to the network, as software vulnerabilities are a clear and present danger to the fidelity of bitcoin (BTC). Now that the top-ranked cryptocurrency is in the midst of a positive price run, it is perhaps important that steps are taken to eradicate the inflation bug problem for good.

Upon discovery, developers again released a new version of software before announcing it to the wider cryptocurrency community. However, several months after the issue ought to have been solved, it appears that more than half the full nodes on the network are still running client implementations vulnerable to the bug.

Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/inflation-bug-still-a-danger-to-more-than-half-of-all-bitcoin-full-nodes

One of the many good features of bitcoin is that inability for double-spend and any bug that can break through this wall it can indeed be very dangerous for bitcoin. Thankfully, they found the fix to the problem and let's hope that all miners will soon adopt the solution to this malady. What's stake here is the very name or reputation of bitcoin so this is a serious matter that we the cryptocurrency community should be concerned.

2280  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-20] Poloniex delists 9 cryptos for U.S. traders, they may be securities on: May 20, 2019, 04:25:45 AM
Quote
The decision is apparently being made after guidance from regulators. Circle is still actively lobbying for crypto assets to be treated differently to more traditional types of asset, but it can't guarantee that this will happen.

What is obvious here is that Poloniex has no choice but to bow down to the wishes of the authorities in the meantime that there is no clear regulatory definition for what is a security in the cryptocurrency space. As to how they arrived at the conclusion for these coins to get delisted, maybe they should tell us more. As to XRP and Stellar, maybe they decided that these two are too big to get delisted and those coins in the list are already enough to please regulators. Of course, we should not be surprised of any double standards here as it can happen anytime anywhere and on many situations.
