2281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra the new crypto king on: October 06, 2019, 01:53:38 PM
Libra could have been a good boost to the crypto adoption around the world but the future of itself seems unpredictable.
One of the reasons for Libra having lower chances of getting the light is Facebook's dependency on the US. Europe has been pretty friendly towards human rights, privacy and crypto while US focus on tracking every moves to micromanage the population.
2282  Economy / Reputation / Re: crypto-bridge.org KYC scam ! on: October 06, 2019, 02:06:01 AM
The two times I've used crypto-bridge, both withdrawals were held and was solved only after starting a support ticket and waiting over 48 hours. I don't think crypto-bridge is actually a decentralized exchange.
Binance has no issues withdrawing under limit for non verified users while KUcoin is found to enforcing KYC for any users. There are many other exchanges that doesn't necessarily require KYC. So, it would be better to use an alternative and wait for if there's no other listing.
2283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another PONZI scheme money frozen in bank account revealed on: October 06, 2019, 01:54:09 AM
The related ponzis were Gain bitcoin and Cloud Miners. Hope the Koneix team would be able to help police return back the coins to the respective owners.

2284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: REQUEST FOR GAS FEE TO GET PAID ARE SCAM. on: October 05, 2019, 03:51:43 PM
Anything and everything that asks you to pay at first are scams. If you are no completely sure about what you are doing, don't even send a penny to anyone. There are many fake airdrops that collects your emails, social profiles and access to different functions in your social profiles and some even dare to ask private keys from the unsuspecting users. If you need to participate in such airdrops, just create a dedicated email, wallet and social profiles for them.
2285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Line messenger to invest in crypto on: October 05, 2019, 12:14:51 PM
The popular japanese messenger Line has decided to team up with two other companies and made a capital alliance agreement. The companies would create a fund which would invest on cryptocurrencies. One of the company in the agreement, Nomura holdings has already invested $14m in coinbase backed token.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/japanese-messenger-line-nomura-holdings-form-blockchain-alliance

Does the content involve only a cryptocurrency investment or a new project? This detail is very important. Will they invest in any blockchain-based project? I think if the official explanation comes, then we can be more specific

Line is actually involved in Crypto for a long time now. Japan and Japanese companies are positive about blockchain and crypto development and has been working to create a better environment. Line already has two exchanges, one bitbox.me and another is bitmax app exchange.
Link is a crypto project of Line that has dependent roadmap. The recent funding seems to exclusively cover investments.
2286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fee-less cryptocurrencies...Are they the future? on: October 05, 2019, 03:09:30 AM
Personally, I have found out that fee-less cryptocurrencies are extremely convenient for sending micropayments worldwide. Most of them are blazing-fast in transaction confirmation times, making them an attractive choice on top of Bitcoin or Ethereum. Cryptocurrencies such as EOS, Steem, and Nano have no fees at all, becoming a favorite among several crypto enthusiasts (like me).

However, it's yet to be seen whenever a fee-lees structure is a viable solution for the crypto economy. I mean, if there are no fees on the Blockchain, then how would delegates maintain their loyalty to fee-less cryptocurrencies? I believe that in order to maintain long-term stability, there needs to be an incentive via the collection of fees among the network's users.

Nonetheless, do you think that fee-less cryptocurrencies are the future of the crypto industry? Or are they simply a niche? Huh

There are no fee-less exchanges. Zero fee is a advertising gimmick. Most of the new exchanges go with this promotion. Even some of the old exchanges are providing no fee transaction on a selected number of coins. Some coins are truly feeless and some fees are funded by the exchange themselves but no exchange would sustain paying fees for every kind of coins listed. So, there would never be a fee less exchange.
2287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs really DEAD or simply cleared a path for better projects? on: October 05, 2019, 03:06:41 AM
ICOs have morphed into IEO and the change is for good. The number of ICOs/IEOs too have dramatically decreased as investors have become more concerned about their investments. There are some shady exchanges that are listing IEOs with zero research and analysis just for a small fee but most of the people are now aware of such practice. Only the IEOs issued from a promising exchange are getting attraction while other are not fully funded. This is making the project team more dedicated to make their project look promising and actually working to prove their authenticity. It doesn't mean it would filter every scam but it would filter the most of them.
2288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice - A small mistake emptied my wallet. on: October 05, 2019, 01:57:56 AM
Similar thing happened to one of my friend. He reached 100M tokens in coinpot, That is valued at $10K playing the multiplier there. That was all of his coins converted into tokens. He was boasting about it the previous day and on the next day before cashing out he intended to make a small bet and as he plays in an iphone and the amount are just clickable buttons, he mistakenly clicked the 10M one and lost all.
He said he didn't slept for 2 days. I might have lost larger than that in total but never in a single day. That was a harsh one on him.
2289  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Why has not any government stopped Bitcoin? on: October 05, 2019, 12:52:22 AM
Governments have done enough to dissuade common people from using Bitcoin extensively. Being charged with operating unlicensed money changing businesses is a possibility if you engage in cash-bitcoin conversion.

Many of the government around the world would gladly stop bitcoin if they could. Bitcoin is a decentralized currency that's traded P2P. As everything happens on the internet and has no physical form and official value, there's nothing a government can do to stop it's transaction. They can make it difficult to buy bitcoin with cash, redeem bitcoin to cash and in some cases prohibit buying goods and services using bitcoin but they can never stop a P2P trade.
2290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 6 ways to help you not be emotionally dominated when trading cryptocurrencies on: October 04, 2019, 11:41:19 PM
For me it is always good to have a plan and you should stick to your plan.
Know when to quit or cut loss and when to take your profit.
This is the problem most of the traders could agree on or most of us have experienced.
Most of us are too greedy to take the profit and thinks that it would continue to grow and it is the main reason why some lose their peofit and sometimes also their capital,
Same way to cut lose we often thinks that our investment or crypto would go up again and sometimes we would lost more because it would continue to drop.
Plans can be changed depending on the market condition that is why we have PLAN A, PLAN B, and soon.
Greediness is a thing that is commonly present to all of us and because of that we are forced to work hard but what a thing gives a negative impact. It is really hard to escape from this especially when we are already thinking about money and it getting more stronger.

You should make a set of basic rule and stick to it if you want to succeed in the trading. Jumping around according to market movement or how you feel about a coin would rarely earn you a profit. There should be specific points for you to buy or sell a coin. A simple formula could be selling on 20% profit and on 10% loss against your reference currency.
2291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: IKEA Accepts Ethereum tech! on: October 04, 2019, 11:28:41 PM

IKEA is a swedish company and makes almost anything. They have a wide range of product and a large service area. Integrating crypto in their payment would further their use.
As read the article, it's not just a payment completed with Ethereum. IKEA Iceland used smart contract on Ethereum to create a smart invoice. And actually paid with digital Krona.
It's the first time smart contract being used in such trade.
2292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin price increase after successful halving of block reward., thoughts. on: October 04, 2019, 04:34:18 PM
Many community users might not be aware of this but Litecoin just successfully completed halving it's block reward at Block 168,000 to produce 12.5 LTC. Before now Litecoin was trading around $93 as the 5th largest trading cryptocurrenc based on Coinmarketcap's market capitalization statistics but currently it's trading at $102 and now the 4th largest trading coin. The question now is, do you think a major catalyst of Litecoin recent success is linked to bitcoin also experience a surge in price (since this has always been the usual from previous record) or this time, it was all due to Litecoin successful halving event?.

What's your thoughts and congratulations to litecoiners on a successful halving event, Bitcoin is up next.

It had been predicted and it happened. This would make another precedent for price increase on halving.
There were price increase on such halving of both bitcoin and litecoin in the past but people were suspicious this time following the long bearish market.
This would make Bitcoin an attractive investment as bitcoin is next going to halve in 2020 (most probably on May).

Here's the link to the news by CNN https://edition.cnn.com/2019/10/02/politics/putin-2020-us-presidential-election-joke-intl/index.html

Newbies are not allowed to post links in the forum.

This is all joke by Putin.
They accused Russia of bringing up fake news and provocative statement to make people vote for Trump. But in reality that's just democrats not being able to accept their defeat.
And whoever wins this time, another party is surly going to blame Russia. This is why the US is losing their credentials in the world. They are now blaming another country for their simple domestic problems.
2294  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The use of stable coins or no? on: October 04, 2019, 01:05:56 PM
On the other day, I think of the use of stable coins. I mean, when can we use Stable coins as an alternative fiat. You see when a bull run comes and everyone will start to sell their Bitcoins and some other coins into fiat the network will be congested.

So I think if we buy Stable coins with some stable volume, we will no longer need to worry about unable to sell our bitcoin into fiat.
Rather we only need to do this thing right? is this some acceptable alternative or no?

That's the specialty of stable coins. They save us from the hassle of converting our fiat to crypto and back. With stablecoin, you can easily convert your crypto coins to a fiat value within a few seconds and convert them to fiat at your ease or back back cryptocurrencies from it. They have become a great tool for day traders who makes their profit through fluctuation in prices of the coins.
2295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SC good to invest ? on: October 04, 2019, 09:40:58 AM
LOL, it's already 2019, Siacoin was good and has a lot of hype around 2017 wherein it was one of the coins that really took out together with the rest of the altcoins. So obviously, there's no more hype surrounding Siacoin and the price took a nosedive.

You also need to look at the circulating supply, although the project seems solid but I think investors are no longer interested. I can't give you financial advise because I might or completely wrong with this coin. But if I'm in your shoes just go for the top 10 altcoins today just to be on the safeside.

Yup. Siacoin missed it's shot. And there's nothing left here that could rejuvenate the project. The concept was good but the execution was poor.
There are demands for decentralized cloud and many projects working for it but none has been successful to create a promising working model and a business model.
Their coinbase partnership brought on some buzz but had no large effect on their price.
2296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paypal to leave Libra on: October 04, 2019, 05:46:45 AM
A financial times article reports Paypal is on the verge of leaving Libra project as a founding member.
Coindesk explains it https://www.coindesk.com/paypal-might-withdraw-from-libra-association

Would it be the precursor of termination of Libra before even launching. What are your thoughts on the future of Libra? Would it even see the light?

Enterprise are not the ones that would determine the future of Libra but governments. And as Facebook is a profit oriented company, it would in no way bring an independent crypto. The so called Libra would be closely controlled by Facebook and the US government want's it's part in it. If Zuckerberg be able to strike a deal with the US government, Facebook would hit the market.
2297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best special events site? on: October 04, 2019, 03:39:06 AM
Last time your help was invaluable that's why I wanted to give me a try one more time.

The betting site with the best and the most substantive special events offer? Politics, entertainment, culture, etc.

And what's with the sites that control the market and keep informing about it in the best, day to day way? Something else besides oddshark, sports bedding dime or oddschecker? Maybe something better?

What do you think?

Bitmoose is a dedicated book for non sports events. You'll find most of the events you could think of there.
Fairlay covers the many of such special events as you can yourself add up such events to start a bet. Their odds are impressive but the only thing that keeps me away from that site is the disorganization. If you are okay with your IDs being asked, Intertops lets you deposit on bitcoin and bet on whether there would be snow on Christmas day.
2298  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Journey to the Mars,Elon Musk vision! on: October 04, 2019, 02:45:45 AM
Here's a cool interview of Elon Musk by Tim Dodd from Everyday Astronaut.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIQ36Kt7UVg

Elon Musk is just the most impressive person alive. He is a true visionary. He might not be the most intelligent but he knows how to lead intelligent people.
There are many reasons why Elon would fail. I'm quite sure we'll not be in Mars in 2025. Capital would be a big issue. But sooner or later this man would lead us to Mars.
No government agency would ever match the creativity of the free thinkers.
2299  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Religion and Morality. on: October 04, 2019, 02:38:40 AM
You know, I believe that conscience is the best religion ever.
If you don't have it, you have no god inside you. Simple  Smiley

I understand that. Though I'm not actually asking about religion. How do you come up with your conscience? Some atheists say that knowing what's good or bad can be a product of evolution and that it's imprinted already in the genes. Theists say that God is the basis of what's good, so by that you also get a definition for what's not good. Some philosophers say that it's a product of time and it's by instinct.

I just wanna what people's thoughts are about this. Where does your definition of morality come from?

Conscience comes from your schooling and your self learning.
Religion too is a learning but it doesn't purely teach about deciding what is right or wrong but states what's right and what's wrong. Which is a form of brainwashing.
A brainwashed mind can't make an unbiased decision.
I don't mean everyone needs to dump their religion but when it comes to making a decision, be neutral and don't get influenced by your religion.
2300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: October 03, 2019, 05:43:08 PM
~snip~

I hope Pakistani batsmen also make up their mind. The match is becoming tighter now and another wicket or two will make Srilanka the favorites.

Common Team Pak we need to win a home series after 10 years  Cool

I need five more 4s from Pakistan (Sri Lanka 26 and Pakistan 22 so far) and if they win that's better :-P
@Royse777 Hopefully you won your bet this is 2 successful chase by Pakistan in last five years 20 times they lost.
Yes, it is a winning day for Royse777. Pakistan has played good as the first match. 297 is really a big target to reach on the second innings. Pakistan from the starting had a good performance with every player contributing good. This is the reason for Pakistan to win the match losing just five wickets and few balls left in the innings.
Not actually. Both team ended up making same number of fours even including the fours from by runs. This was the 2nd time I have seen a tie score in number of fours out of 3 times I placed bet LOL. What do you call it? Co-incident when I bet? or unlucky LOL

However Pakistan to win was a winning bet and with the I have one single and one double gone waste.
One single won and anther double is depending on the Indian bowlers.

I think I will get the amount back that I invested originally.

Betting does not suits you. Most of the time, the bets gone opposite for you. Even those bets which are sure shot seems to go wrong.
Getting same number of fours is pure bad luck when if you had not bet, i am sure Pakistan would had more boundaries.  This bad luck type thing happen with me too and the only way i get rid of it, is to stop betting for few weeks.

Or you can just double your next bet. There are still T20 between Sri Lanka and Pakistan and Pakistan has hard hitters that generally goes for a boundary than for runs.
Pakistan are always better when it comes to T20s so the odds for Pakistan are low. Even the odds for 4s are 1.54 for Pakistan 2.7 for Sri Lanka and 10 for draw. That's why I'm thinking of betting for sixes. Pakistani batsmen loves sixes.
