1341  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCNEX - "SCAM" Withdrawals are no longer available. on: June 12, 2020, 01:31:50 PM
Why did they turn into a scam? They raised about 18 million USD, in the time they were the biggest Vietnamese crypto exchange, if they continue, they will surely secure their position in the market. But they rather took money illegally and pray that no one will catch them?
There have not been any figures confirming that they have raised $18 million and certainly this figure has been fake to attract more investors. I think there is no way for you to get your money back here and you should give up because Bcnex will definitely only make you more time consuming. Of course, it is very difficult to return this exchange, but it is best to accept this fact and leave this exchange.

Even if they raised that amount it does not mean what they do would be successful. And maybe they were planning to scam users from the start. Collecting a high amount and delivering a subpar product. There were red flags about the project from the start. We all know how the bought people to suppress those voices. They can't buy everyone everytime.
1342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What old coins are you still holding? on: June 12, 2020, 03:10:34 AM
Bitcoin is the oldest coin I'm holding and probably everyone. I ocassionally hold and trade Dogecoin and Litecoin, mostly because they are fast and has lower fees. If you are talking about less known coins, I'm holding one called soferox, they are old but still active, they are pretty low in price than ICO so I have no other choices than to hold them.
1343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty hunters United we stand on: June 11, 2020, 01:29:48 PM
There are several options available and you should choose the one that you think suits you.
In my experience, joining a fixed reward campaign is low risk but you can't aspect more from it and you weekly rewards are much lower.
But when you go on stake and participants based campaign, you can hit a much better reward if the number of participants are low and the rewards are high as well the project turns to be a legit one.
1344  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why so much hassle finding Fiat/Altcoin pairs exchange? on: June 11, 2020, 01:17:10 PM
Bank to exchange trading has to go through traditional system of paper works and taxes. There are regulations on every steps and risks involved for every parties involved as the policy towards the business is ever changing. The best way possible to buy coins if you are going to do it regularly and in large volume is to have a P2P trading partner.
1345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need a reality check, is an ICO right for me to fund a business? on: June 11, 2020, 12:58:30 AM
You didn't mention how you're going to do business with your startup. It looks not even a business at all if you're feeding people one meal a day, this looks more of a charity and investors that will put money into your startup will get ownership and how they'll make money from that? there's no clear business model that you're actually doing including the marketing and hiring of employees. Most of things that you have mentioned were all cash-out flow and the only cash in flow is the investors money.

I think he meant to do a charity.
I'd not recommend charity to use ICO as a fundraiser as they have their own costs involved and there's about no use of coins and no use of offering the coins. That sort of charity should come up as a charity that may also take crypto donations. If available, you could also provide your info and ask for donation in Gofundme, which is a better platform to get charity.
1346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Someone just paid $2,6M in fees while sending just $133 in ETH on: June 10, 2020, 01:56:32 PM
I do not know what is in the person's mind by paying that much fee, I also can not imagine how he is now, maybe he is currently under stress, even though in his wallet he still has a lot of money, but this is not the first time such an incident this, before there was already
Yes, there have been many cases like this in the past. They made a mistake and could not fix it, surely he was very depressed because it was really a huge amount of money

It makes me feel my mistakes were simpler and my loss bearable after seeing this mistake. Certainly we need some function in every wallet to notify us when we are sending too low or too high fees. He might have thought the fees were the amount and the amount was the fees. I have been checking everything twice for quite a time now and that simple thing helps prevent such mistake by a large odds.
1347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be sure to post every week for that stakes. on: June 10, 2020, 03:35:28 AM
Viewing your weekly stakes on the spreadsheet is really an important motivation to carry on. Not only you get to know about your and others stake to calculate your probably weekly reward, you also feel warm as someone is looking at your work and appreciating it. It also signifies that you are going according to the rules of campaign.
1348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH better than BTC for payment? on: June 09, 2020, 02:48:55 PM
Yes, scalability has been a problem for Ethereum but they are trying to solve it with the next update. Another advantage of Ethereum payment would be it's lower fees. With a much higher supply than of bitcoin, we can expect a unit of Ethereum coin's price to remain a lot cheaper than bitcoin on anytime as bitcoin's supply is fixed while Ethereum is ever rising. Solve the scalability problem, ETH would be the best transacting coin.
1349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrops Altcoins on: June 08, 2020, 12:12:32 PM
I have joined a telegram channel from bounty detective group and they provide some really good airdrops.
As I remember there was one airdrop a few days ago (no idea if it's still active) where they were providing $15 worth of a token which is already been listed to a A level exchange. The group already has over 400K members. https://t.me/AirdropDetective

1351  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Think before joining any campaign on: June 07, 2020, 12:14:24 PM
There are few things to consider while joining a bounty. If you want to play it safe only join those bounties that pays weekly on popular coins. If that's not a choice and you need to go with a ICO token, you should first at least verify the legitimacy of project. We may not know what might go scam in the future but we surely can detect a ponzi or a poorly placed fundraiser. And poor plans that are less likely to succeed.
1352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investors Behavior in Cryptocurrency - short anonymous survey for dissertation on: June 07, 2020, 10:59:16 AM
I too took the survey but in my perception, the crypto market is not at all different from stocks trading.
The difference lies in the regulations, companies issuing stocks are audited and need to give quarterly or yearly economic report of investment, expanses and profit. While this is not for crypto projects.
Stock market and investors are too regulated. Stocks are traded 5-8 hours a day and only 4-6 days in a week while crypto are traded 24/7.
1353  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase the most anti-Bitcoin organisation. Make #DeleteCoinbase great again. on: June 06, 2020, 10:26:29 AM
Though coinbase was the first wallet for me and the first bitcoin I ever got was from bitcoin, coinbase is no longer a recommended option by me even for a newbie. Even for a simple user, they charge a huge transaction fees while sends the actual transaction in bulk with a minimum fees taking hours to get confirmation.
Using third party wallet always would have privacy issues. They need to profit from users as well comply with the government as a profit oriented business.
1354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs. Asset-backed cryptocurrencies: The race for future adoption on: June 06, 2020, 01:52:09 AM
Good day, guys.

A couple of projects are already proposing the issuance of asset-backed cryptocurrencies. Just like the era of the gold standard, cryptos could be backed by any popular commodity, real estate, precious metal, etc. The advantage is that it solves the problem of extreme volatility associated with purely speculative risk assets like Bitcoin, this factor has prevented many big players from investing in Bitcoin. Bitcoin still have its upsides, regardless. But in your opinion, I am very curious to know, will Bitcoin dominance be threatened should asset-backed cryptocurrencies begin to gain widespread adoption?

Bitcoin is more like a valuable and rare assets. It don't have to compete with stable type of coins. While stable coin can increase the crypto adoption and become the day to day trading coins with largest volumes and probably marketcap but bitcoin would still have it's place as the gold of cryptocurrency. The rise of stable coin doesn't threaten the dominance of Bitcoin.
1355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What erc20 wallet supports token search across wallets on: June 05, 2020, 10:34:45 AM

I have 3 Ethereum wallets, I used them for airdrops since 2017 so I have more than 200 tokens in each. Is there a fast and easy way to search for a particular token across the three wallets automatically?
Maybe an erc20 wallet?

I search manually using Etherscan, just need a faster alternative

You can sign up on Etherscan and add all those address to my address. That way you'll be able to see the tokens and their value on a same page for all those address. As well you can ask to be notified with email on change of balance on those address. The balances would be view only as you need to use wallet services like myetherwallet to send your balances.

1357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Old (2013) video on Bitcoin by news media on: June 04, 2020, 08:30:28 AM
2013 was the year I started using bitcoin. That was the time many people knew about bitcoin for the first time as many media covered the news about rise in price of bitcoin. I came across bitcoin looking for alternatives to traditional payment gateways and found bitcoin among internet articles.
Bad for me, I didn't watched the prediction video and was not able to hold enough coin to be glad of being an early user.
1358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2020 rising altcoin on: June 04, 2020, 04:54:39 AM
Cardano, they have one of the most active development and we may see some projects over it's platform this year.
Ethereum, with the change to POS, many of it's problems might get solve making it's rise limitless.
Tron, Another vibrant coin with limited supply and new projects on rise on it's blockchain. A real competitor to Ethereum.
1359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever got it wrong? on: June 03, 2020, 09:44:15 AM
It's the first step towards success that you correct yourself and learn from your mistakes. Holding onto past, regret and ego won't lead you anywhere. You should embrace your failure and look for better options for your future. There are some luck factor that may affect your result but with good precision of decision, you can minimize your bad luck while multiply your good luck.
1360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your Biggest Crypto Regret? on: June 03, 2020, 02:49:08 AM
I came to know about bitcoin in 2012 and been transacting bitcoin when it was below $100. Kept on using bitcoin but was not holding even a full coin when the bull came. That was the largest regret I have in my life. Transacted 10s of coins but never realized it would be a good investment. Similar happened for me with Ethereum,  many called the Ethereum ICO was a scam and I believed them.
