USD and EUR = FUBAR in 2050
This, do the math and check at the graphs. By the time 2050 arrives, € and $ will be so devaluated that it will be fucking pointless to own any of it. Now, Asia money will take the lead, and smart people will have put at least half of their assets in BTC. You'll be able to at least buy a small flat with 1 BTC by then. I disagree with this. Yes inflation will eat away at the value of both the euro and the dollar, but people do not hold onto cash for 30 plus years as an investment. If you hold Bitcoin for 30 years the amount of shit you'll be able to buy with only 1 BTC will give you a brain aneurism. 30 years... The temptation to sell each time an All Time High is reached will be great.

I'm waiting for the real pump, and it will happen before the next halving in 2016.
Hopefully, halving of supply will lead to more than doubling of price. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

Is there some sort of US tax rule that forces companies accepting bitcoin payments to immediately sell?
They do have to pay taxes on their profits and that can't be paid in bitcoins. Accounting principles also treat bitcoin as a volatile asset and companies might not want that to show in their books.

I think the current range of $470-$500 is the bottom. We could recover to around $600 by the end of this year. Big events like launch of ETF could help take it even higher.

It is not going to be one big dump. It is going to be a slow process, grinding the price down (or at least preventing it from taking off)
From the ether genesis sales terms and conditions document It is possible that the value of BTC will drop significantly, depriving EthSuisse of sufficient resources to continue to operate. In order to guard against this risk, EthSuisse intends to periodically convert proceeds from the sale of ETH into fiat.

Question - Why is Prime Dice in Active category and why is Dicebitcoin in CFNP category? Both of them are open for select category of users (Staff in PD, Legendary in Dicebitcoin). So I guess both of them should be in the same category.

Why would you buy on bounces?

Youtube pulled your sig's video and I'm going to have to lean that another rally is months away. However, it could sneak up on all of us at any time and then the moon comes.
I wish I have a couple of bitcoins before the rally does sneak up. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

No, we just need people / companies to begin holding bitcoin more. It's great that larger players have begun accepting bitcoin (Dell, Expedia, Newegg, etc.), but the problem is they sell the BTC instantly after receiving it. So all of their incoming funds are going straight to fiat, helping keep the price down.
We need the companies paying its employees in Bitcoin, at least bonuses. This way Bitcoin will be adopted faster. If it becomes standard like -5% off the price if paid with bitcoin, employees themselves will want at least part of their wage paid in Bitcoin. I guess in few years this become reality. If employees are paid bonuses in bitcoins, most of them will cash out / spend it anyway. A lot of people would be thinking of going on a vacation / making a down payment on their mortgage, etc.

In my opinion the price will hit $500 in two days, the recover is imminent.
A recovery to $500? How things have changed in the last one month! 500 is just around 5% from 475. This kind of daily fluctuation is normal even in strong bull market. Yes, that fluctuation is normal. I was just talking about the use of the word "recover". Not so long ago, people were talking about "crash" to $500.

Hopefully, the last bubble won't 'burst'. People will gradually get tired of waiting for the price to increase and then cash out. Then we won't see any sudden drops.

Yikes! You can never be too careful with bitcoins. I didn't spot the difference in the email id either when I first looked at it.

I think we are a very long way away from bitcoin reaching these levels. I think we should stick to BTC until bitcoin reaches a price so that mBTC and/or uBTC would be a more appropriate way to price something worth ~$100
When we reach 1 BTC = $1000, we can start using mBTC for normal purchases. It would effectively replace the dollar.

This probably gives newbies a chance to enter the market at attractive valuations. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

With today's prices, you are definitely not too late to enter the BTC game. I think a large percentage of people who got involved over the past year, are now in the red with the last decline in prices. If you buy in now, you will probably have more profits (soon), than a large percentage of seasoned investors...
They are not seasoned investors, they are yesterday's newbies. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

are you managing the lists for him? i'm only 1 day away from senior rank.. so i'm really hoping he'll let me in 1 day early, before the slots get taken up. he told me to re-apply tomorrow, but his last update mentions only 18 slots left open.
Closure of full member slots might turn into a blessing in disguise for you. If you do get in now, you will be paid for senior rank. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif)

I wouldn't call Bitcoin a scheme at all. It's a useful tool that can be utilized for various purposed. And the most striking ones are store and simple transfer of value. That it has inherent characteristics that may remind people of schemes, esp. Ponzi ones, is just a byproduct.
The one feature that is attracting everybody to bitcoin is the chance that its value might explode. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)
