2301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🥊 The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 20, 2022, 04:53:39 AM
Right, early leans:
- Usman
- Aldo
- Amir Albazi
- Luke Rockhold

Luke being my most uncertain, depends what type of Costa turns up on the night.

Agreed on Luke Rockhold, however, I choose him for another type of reason. Paulo Costa might show up here in very good form but everyone might be underestimating Luke Rockhold's takedown and overestimates Costa's defense for this. Rockhold is very much aware that his chin has left his body hehehe. He will wrestle and hold down Costa for 3 rounds and plan to win this through a decision.

@YuginKadoya. I also agree on the King of Rio Aldo hehehe. Another former champion who is underestimated for this event.
2302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon musk is for crypto or just for attention to boost Tesla, SpaceX? on: August 20, 2022, 04:27:15 AM
That's just a marketing play I suppose. It gives people the thought "wow they're the future" and gives them an illusion that Elon is interested in the same things they are interested in. Musk is just a good businessman. I don't think that he has a lot of time to study the crypto market and get involved in it.

He might not have the time but Elon has the space to accommodate Blockchain enthusiasts, I believe the doge coin he was Shilling some months ago may have not be his idea, someone may have suggested that for him, he doesn't have time for diggings or DYOR in details. Some of his comments on doge coin scales more than bitcoin proves that he doesn't no shit about bitcoin, he is just a man who employee good guys with big IQ and talent to run his business, that's exactly how he successfully run Tesla and the launch of spaceX, he doesn't know how that shit work, people work for him.

You should begin to be skeptical on what Elon was really doing when he was shilling dogecoin. He knew what he was doing. Also, he has divorced from 3 wives who might have gotten a large share of his assets. He will be needing some extra money hehehehe and do not underestimate human greed.

Also, Elon has a large following in social media and he loves to troll. How can he profit from this? Shill a coin traded in an unregulated market where the SEC cannot give him legal problems. Elon is a cold blooded profiteer.
2303  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-08-16] Mark Cuban Sued for Allegedly Promoting a Massive Crypto Ponzi on: August 20, 2022, 03:55:34 AM
@Kakmakr. The Bitcoin community gets the blame for what?

I speculate that Mark Cuban is really an Ethereum maximalist and people like him will use Ethereum's switch to proof of stake to stengthen the argument that proof of work is harmful for the environment and uses too much electricity. Also, I have wanted to say this prediction, however, everyone might accuse me of antagonizing again hehehe. The prediction is Tesla will buy and hold proof of stake Ethereum.
2304  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-06-17] Bitcoin mining becomes unprofitable as BTC price falls on: August 20, 2022, 03:28:04 AM
This bitcoin mining company made a decision to return mining equipment to settle a debt.
This perfectly shows how mismanagement of funds could have a negative impact on a certain company! CMIIW, but from what I understood, they were already in debt at the time they requested more mining rigs and that's a huge gamble on something that doesn't even have a static outcome [SMH]!
- FWIW, I equally blame the lender as well.

It might not only because of mismanagement if it has occured. It is really showing that the cryptospace economy is also going through a recession. Much of the miners' earnings also depend on the speculation that the prices of proof of work coins in the market are going up.

In any case, if they were already in debt when they requested more mining equipment, I reckon this is not only mismanagement, this might also be their way of speculating that the bull market will return and bitcoin would begin pumping. It was a risky business decision that did not go according to what they might have predicted.
2305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October on: August 19, 2022, 03:30:45 AM
Not a cherry pick but probably a tune up fight for Loma before facing Haney, assuming both of them win.

Hehehe similar reply to @bittraffic, not probably. It certainly is only a tune up fight before his next one in the ring which I speculate might not be for the championship against the winner of Haney vs. Kambosos. It might be Lomachenko's next fight after Ortiz that will be the official championship eliminator. The opponent might also be one of the top 5 ranked lightweight boxers with a name. Ryan Garcia or Isaac Cruz?
2306  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-06-17] Bitcoin mining becomes unprofitable as BTC price falls on: August 19, 2022, 02:55:51 AM
News update.

This bitcoin mining company made a decision to return mining equipment to settle a debt. It appears that there will either be bitcoin miners that does not want to get a loan to maintain their monthly cashflow or no lender is willing to provide loans for bitcoin miners because they are at higher risk of being unprofitable during a bear market.

Bitcoin mining can bring some promises of good fortune, but given the unpredictable nature of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, the activity can go sideways and force even the most well-funded company to resort to desperate measures – like selling equipment to stay afloat.

Stronghold Digital Mining announced on Wednesday that it will return over 26,000 bitcoin mining machines to New York Digital Investment Group in exchange for the cancellation of $67.4 million in debt.

2307  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto lender Celsius mulls possible restructuring amid financial woes on: August 19, 2022, 01:10:33 AM
It appears it was not only Celsius' involvement with Luna and UST that caused the cryptolender's bankruptcy. Their CEO has made himself the head of their cryptocoin trading strategy. I reckon that we should look around the cryptospace and know which other CEOs or company executives are doing something similar hehehhe.
And yet people still think that those at the top know what they are doing while in reality they are not better than many of us noobs that are buying high and selling low.  Cheesy

I very much agree! 3 Arrows Capital was the most recent example of this that showed that some experienced crypto hedge fund managers are also just gambling on volatile market moves with unsustainably high leverage hehehe. Everyone thought Su Zhu's posts in social media was to trick his followers to buy if he was selling or sell if he was buying, however, what he was posting was the whole truth heehehe.
2308  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-07-14] Nic Carter vs. The Bitcoin Maximalists on: August 19, 2022, 12:35:23 AM
@johhnyUA. It could collapse, however, another currency will take over as the international currency of choice for international trade. However, if we do not move away from reality, we cannot be quite as certain as the maximalists that the next currency adopted for international trade would be bitcoin. But the maximalists will not tell you this. They will only continue the circle jerk and tell you everything will go to 0 and there is nothing else but bitcoin.
2309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jimmy Garoppolo reportedly ignored coaches after getting his big contract on: August 18, 2022, 04:49:35 AM
Interesting stores about Jimmy G.  I however don’t think that it will have any effect on his trade market. They will of course keep him as one of their players on the 53 man roster, as sooner or later someone is going to need his services and they will get a sold pay day in return (maybe a few picks, not sure they’ll get more than a 2/3rd rounder).

& thank you, that time from will work for me. Two drafts back to back, I dig it.

Seattle would be a real good fit for him, Lock and Geno are both garbage.

Agreed. I know there are fans of the 49ers in this thread that do not want Jimmy G to be traded to another team which is also in the NFC west division, however, for an exciting season it would certainly be a good trade because of the reason you mentioned hehe.
2310  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: August 18, 2022, 04:08:19 AM
@Falconer. However, it would be very head shaking if someone thinks that he can continue gambling anonymously anywhere if he gambles with more than $10k regularly hehehe. Sportsbooks and gambling sites will begin asking for your identification when your deposits and withrawals become larger because gambling sites also need to be compliant with the regulators.
2311  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Describe what Bitcoin has done for you on: August 18, 2022, 03:12:57 AM
Bitcoin brought me into world of cryptos and it's earning opportunities which helps me make a living.

(^ this is how spammers comment, but I swear it's true)
Can you explain more how bitcoin has earnings opportunities, since as far as I can see it, you can only make money with investing so far and thats kind of hard in the last month Grin

Bitcoin made me come across whole world of crypto which has earning opportunities.

This is a complete honest answer. Bitcoin is giving all of the users access to loans for small collateral that we can use for investment and trading across the cryptospace. This is in the form of leveraged trading. There are some people in bitcointalk.org that have declared it as gambling, however, on 2020 I am quite certain many of you wished you can borrow money to invest in the beginning of the bull market. This is where trading with leverage can become helpful. Leverage is a loan guarantee from the exchange.
2312  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-08-16] Mark Cuban Sued for Allegedly Promoting a Massive Crypto Ponzi on: August 18, 2022, 02:27:57 AM
Is the source of the news from Roger Ver's cryptonews media site? It is okay, you do not have to be ashamed to post this hehehehe.

https://news.bitcoin.com/billionaire-mark-cuban-sued-for-allegedly-promoting-a-massive-crypto-ponzi-scheme/

In any case, if Voyager is judged a ponzi scheme, I reckon 95% of the whole cryptospace can also be judge as a giant ponzi scheme including much of the ICO coins and tokens. However, the skeptical me thinks that the plaintiffs only want a case to later settle and get money from Mark Cuban.
2313  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: August 17, 2022, 05:37:03 AM
~

It is the same complaint made everywhere by many users of most of the gambling sites. I am not quite certain why much of the users do not expect being asked for KYC if their withdrawals become larger. They should have their identification cards ready and other required documents if the gambling site asks for them.
The user already submitted selfie for the KYC but it looks like the casino isn't convinced and wants more.

Brandon must have pissed off Cloudbet by trying to game their sportsbetting system and that's why they are also asking ridiculous methods to further verify his location and identity. It could also be a case of using and submitting fake identity/docs.

Similar to what I have said in another thread, there might also be an increase in moneylaundering through gambling sites and maybe also exchanges. There would be no reason why Cloudbet or any other gambling site would try to force their users to do a complete and exhaustive verification process unless it was very needed. It would also be very disadvantageous for Cloudbet if they were caught to have a moneylaundering ring in operation in the site. They could lose their business license.
2314  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Street Selfie? Why all these crazy requirements in the name of KYC verification? on: August 17, 2022, 04:43:45 AM
I was browsing through the gambling board, and then I came across some member complaining about some casino that had requested for KYC verification which is OK but what was weird was the way they wanted the user to verify the account  Grin

Dear User,
We hope this email finds you well.
As part of our ongoing verification review of your account, you are kindly requested to submit further documentation to verify your identity.
1. A street selfie: A photo of your face with your government-issued ID (Passport or Driving Licence) and a newspaper in one hand, taken outside your building or street sign. Take a pen/marker and write Cloudbet and today's date on the newspaper and sign the newspaper below the word Cloudbet.
Please note all details. should be legible, including the building name or street sign.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Seriously, is this going to be the new trend in KYC verification?
Remember, back then, all that most services required were the front and back part of your ID or passport before they started asking for simple selfies.

Why would they need a street sign or building name?

I speculate that moneylaundering through the use of cryptocoins and cryptospace services like gambling sites and exchanges might be growing. These new moneylaunderers might also be using fake identification and other fake documents. However, what these gambling sites and exchanges do not know is much of today's moneylaundering is being done through money mules. They are persons with KYC accounts paid for by the moneylaunderers to launder their money for them.

Alex Mashinsky took control of Celsius trading strategy months before bankruptcy

In January, Celsius Network boss Alex Mashinsky gathered his investment team to tell it he would be taking control of the crypto lender’s trading strategy ahead of an upcoming US Federal Reserve meeting.

Prices of popular cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin and ether had fallen from their all-time highs and the former telecoms entrepreneur said Celsius needed to protect itself from further declines. A hawkish outcome, he was convinced, could crash crypto prices.

In the days before the Fed met, Mashinsky personally directed individual trades and overruled executives with decades of finance experience, according to multiple people familiar with the matter.

In one case, Mashinsky ordered the sale of hundreds of millions of dollars’ worth of bitcoin, refusing to wait to double check Celsius’s often unreliable information on its own holdings. Celsius — which at the time held $22bn of customer crypto assets — bought the bitcoin back a day later at a loss.

2316  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Hotbit exchange suspends deposits, withdrawals and trading on: August 17, 2022, 02:30:07 AM
This is why I don't stay holding coins on any shady exchanges I withdraw them right away after I exchange some shitcoin from their exchange.
Never mind this, even not only on shady exchanges that is not good for holding coins, all exchanges generally, they are centralized, the exchangea have the full control, not people having coins on the exchange.

@BitMaxz. If you want only to trade without the risk of holding funds being frozen, it might be better for you to trade using Uniswap, Sushiswap are any type of Defi protocol in Ethereum. Pancakeswap and other Defi protocols in Binance Smartchain also has many shitcoins that pump more than 10x.
Is margin and future trading possible on those smart contract decentralized exchanges?

Yes, there are new Defi trading platforms that offer futures trading with margin of up to 30x leverage. I have not yet tried trading in this platform, however, there are some people in social media that have good testimonials on GMX.

https://gmx.io/

GMX runs on Ethereum's Arbitrum network for faster confirmations and lower fees.

This complaint of yours is quite similar to the one you made against duelbits. anyway, I'm confused as to why you keep creating accounts on gambling sites that states that they could ask you for your KYC along the way.

It is the same complaint made everywhere by many users of most of the gambling sites. I am not quite certain why much of the users do not expect being asked for KYC if their withdrawals become larger. Yes for September 2 and also hopefully we draft on the same time we did during the last season. Also, when will we pay for the league? Will it be next week? I will only be using the coins from my signature campaign and this week's payment was already used for a 10x leveraged trade on Stepn GMT hehehehehehe. Move to earn!

Random piece of news stating the guy was arrested not as a TC developer but because he was actively involved in cash recycling.
Not that this changes much in the situation, but it is only a bit less worrying as he wasn't arrested for only writing code.

It should not change anything because he was really being arrested for writing code for protection and enhancement of privacy and they presently are using mainstream media news to make it appear that he is a money launderer and a criminal hehehe. This is head shaking. Cryptospace developers should go back to being anonymous.

@ETFbitcoin. It was cleary a question for the purpose of supporting the argument only hehehehe.

I know, but i wanted to mention it's not impossible.

Also, on the 1990s case, was it in America? Was it also when it was declared that code is speech and also protected by the first amendment?

Yes, it was on America. I don't know the details, but people usually call it crypto wars in 90s.

Is it Bernstein vs. the Department of Justice?
