2321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Assumptions of People who don't know about bitcoin... Ki on: March 21, 2022, 01:46:48 PM
It true, there a lot of misconception about btc which is not supposed to be if only people can spare a bit of time to be informed .
Then, I guess we don't have to live that forever, this was the time to change it. We help them to realize that what they heard about rumors, fake news, or anything that talks negatively about Bitcoin is wrong.

*Bitcoins is a scam
*Bitcoin is a bubble
*Bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme

Assumptions can be wrong and it was definitely wrong seeing Bitcoin by now. Misconceptions, misunderstanding, it will just happen if we keep our mind close to reality, we instead open it and accept the changes.
2322  Economy / Speculation / Re: Expect Bullrun this year again! on: March 21, 2022, 12:43:55 PM
$350k-$450k is actually very realistic, it's just a matter of 'when'.
10 years, 50 years from now, not even sure.

Definitely not sure if I would listen to that guy though, especially knowing that his thesis is pretty much just "history repeating itself", and that's pretty much it. Seems like your typical social media influencer that's just looking for attention.
It is just to happen now that social media become a medium used by these crypto influencers to encourage noobs to invest in wrong advice. And I don't think that calling himself a "prominent trader" is a ticket that everyone who reads his tweet or anything he talks about crypto will ever be going to believe.
To be honest this person looks more like a shitcoin bag holder who is advertising the garbage he has placed in his bags and wishes them to rise up.
perhaps, he mentions Elrond, DIA, and Zilliqa coins which are not familiar. He is really trying to promote these coins.
2323  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 21, 2022, 08:35:47 AM

Lebron is only good in numbers but as to impact, he cannot surpass Jordan's impact, or even Kobe.

That's what I'm thinking also because compared to his previous Jordan and Kobe, they are willing to take the last shot but Lebron, man... he loves to pass the ball and let his teammate take the last shot, in short, he is not a clutch guy but consistency wise, he is really good.

Memphis Grizzlies seems like will hold on to the second place in the west. But things are quite hard in the west, winner of 7th and 8th match up in the playoffs still gonna be a hard series.
Even if the will fall, they'll still have a homecourt advantage, and that is good for them as they never had that in the past playoffs IIRC.
2324  Economy / Speculation / Expect Bullrun this year again! on: March 20, 2022, 10:29:59 PM
I see one prominent crypto trader analyst Michaël van de Poppe saying this on his Twitter

He is really a bullish person but I'd never think this gonna happens in real life. $350k-$450k is not realistic for me but he stands it comes possibly as he relies on History repeats itself scenario.

Should we have to believe this?
2325  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 20, 2022, 01:11:11 PM
Speaking of Casimero, seems the training of Quadro Alas is looking good so far and the team said that they are now 80 percent on his preparation against Butler.

Hopefully when the fight comes he will be in 100% so no excuses will be heard from him in case he will fail to defend his title.

He and Donaire are the popular champions in the Philippines for now, if Donaire will lose, it will only be him that will be left, therefore I expect that all the Filipinos will support him in case the anticipated fight between him and Inoue will come into reality.

He will. Just trust him because he knows what is at stake here.

It will be the biggest win for Butler if he beats the champion in front of the thousand fans watching the fight, and he could give honor to his country because this fight will be held in his country. The support of the fans for Butler here will be enormous, but Casimero should not be distracted by that, he needs to focus to retain his title.
2326  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What I have learned so Far on: March 19, 2022, 09:09:19 PM
I have learned a lot in this forum. And the following are some areas.

2. Syntax, Sematics and morphology: English Language is a second language to me (L2), which means I am a lingua franca. That is I am not using English language fluently, there are some commas, full Stops and buts (errors) in my writings and some people correct me in my English both the "the titles and the bodies.
We don't need to be good totally at the English language but at least we do our best to understand and can even talk like the others. However, we can find a way to improve it.

Quote
3. Criticism and correction: most people criticized me and correct me again.. Criticism make me have an Eagle feathers (very strong).

So far, so good.. these are some of the areas I have learned from the group. Mostly the number one.
And besides, not all the reason why we come here is to know how to make a profit, learn about cryptocurrency, we also learn how to correct our mistakes with the help of others. Some members criticize us (just happens to most everyone), we don't need to feel it hard but rather be thankful as they are helping us to improve and by simply listening to their piece of advice, we make ourselves going better.
2327  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 19, 2022, 12:59:00 PM
The only thing left is that he will defeat Butler next month so that he can fully rest after acquiring the said viral disease.

No rest is needed for him, with the long gap of time before this match, I think he already rested a lot. I like to see him be busy contacting the camp of Inoue to schedule a fight because people are tired of speculating, they want to see a big fight in this boring weight class.

Yes, I think he already got some good rest for more than a month after he had that viral gastritis and was hospitalized last December. You know as an athlete or professional boxer like Casimero their body has been developed to conquer diseases like that in just a small amount of time, so I guess that should be enough because otherwise he wouldn't be training now for this upcoming fight if his body cannot handle it.

Well I hope that Inoue vs Casimero fight will happen this year sometime in 3rd or 4th quarter of the year and hopefully Bob Arum will agree.

4th quarter is the best target because it's possible that Inoue will fight Donaire first, and if he wins then there are only two champions in the bantamweight division and therefore it's a big chance for either Inoue or Casimero to be an undisputed champion.
2328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 19, 2022, 12:25:38 PM
I don't know how many more much they left but if they still have a chance to get a spot in playoffs, They can finally make it if they will continue to be consistent like this.

One thing for sure, the Lakers will play in the play-in tournament to get into the playoffs. They are over 10 games behind the 7th and there's no way they can catch up on it. However, they are just only 3 wins ahead of the 11th spot, and chances of not getting into the playoffs have a chance if they will not try to make more winnings from now on.

Russell Westbrook's inconsistency should now be lessened. Ignore those massive criticisms about him and stay focused. It's clear that when he performed well, it's a big contribution to the Lakers, especially to Lebron that is putting up good numbers consistently.

Lakers @ 2.06 vs Wizards next game. I'm sure they will have a 2-game winning streak.

I agree that the Lakers would be a great value bet @ over 2 Odds

The Wizards don't have much to play for and are having a horrible losing streak, Lakers should be able to pull this off, I'll tail you on that.

I hope it's not a trap, that odds seemed to be very attractive since LA Lakers come from a big win while the Wizards are still in a losing streak. I would be cautious with this one, I may put a bet but won't max it out, thinking of putting a bet on other game with my max bet and I like the Bucks on the road.
2329  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Quit expecting a ETH killer on: March 19, 2022, 06:56:10 AM
It's getting annoying to see people talking about a project is the next Ethereum killer, for how long are we going to keep this up? So far there are so many ETH killers that haven't taken a single shot at Ethereum, this has proven that Ethereum isn't a project that any new coin or token can just take over like that, it has never been easy.

They said

Oasis Network is the next ETH killer but before it was EOS, Cardano, Chainlink, Tezos and a few more, get busy gathering these good projects and stop expecting them to be the ETH killer, not killing ETH won't stop them from becoming very useful smart contract project in this space.
We'd rather stop thinking ETH killer, in fact, we've heard these assumptions before but there is nothing happens, ETH still exists and the gas fee is still high. We actually can't eliminate ETH on the market. Ethereum is the king of all altcoins and placing a big role in the market. People who say somedays ETH will die or collapse, honestly it was too far to get happen.

Imagine the number of ERC-20 tokens in the market, they are all relying upon ETH. And this is one reason why despite the high transaction fees, people still accumulating and using this.
Quote
Why is Ethereum so important?
Ethereum enables the deployment of smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps) to be built and run without any downtime, fraud, control, or interference from a third party.
2330  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Huge Future Bitcoin Holders! on: March 18, 2022, 09:37:21 PM

This giving the rich a better chance to be richer, and not to the middle class nor poor.
Ain't this a threat to the future ? Cos I believe, 80% of Bitcoiner's are big time holders.

Rich people will actually be getting richer because they are more strategically knowledgeable when it comes to investing and they have the money to fund which they don't need for them to buy and sell but they just hold until the moment they want to sell it.
Do you think OP that because of that 80% of Bitcoiners are holders this will lessen the demand? No, but instead seeing the price of Bitcoin will still be growing.

https://nypost.com/2022/02/05/how-cryptocurrency-made-these-four-ordinary-people-rich/
Well, this is quite believing that there is still a way for the poor and middle class to become rich.
2331  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt market today on: March 18, 2022, 09:07:12 PM
BTC is back at 40k and some alts like BnB and ETH are slowly rising again is this another bear trap or bull trap? What are we looking at here? To me it looks like the market keeps going down.
I just realized that every move of the market whether it was going up or down it always a trap if that is the thing we keep in mind. But if just focus on our investment and never got affected by the market news outside (FUDs), it is definitely, not a trap anymore. Yes, of course, the market will be moving up and down as the nature of volatility. However, if we just think that all of these are traps, we are just helping ourselves to get panic.

Seeing that Bitcoin price is moving back to $40k will make this a hint that altcoins are then going to follow. We can't expect the Bullrun yet but at least we have seen the market is recovering which is very important, I think.

2333  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 18, 2022, 12:17:20 PM
He might see something or smell something but still the heavy favorite sided to Spence and if he's serious about placing his bet for Ugas
that would be interesting as the odd is way better if Ugas wins this fight. Too early and everyone has their own predictions and back up opinions about to who will win this fight.

That is just proof that Ugas is not really an underdog to consider here. Not just Blair Cobbs but other boxers also analyze that Ugas has the chance to beat Spence.

Are they just really bitter at Spence? I think no since they know both personally. If we take that question back before the car accident, maybe no one will choose Ugas. This is the first time I saw Spence not really favored by most especially against Ugas which is not popular by others until he beat Manny Pacquiao.

I can't wait to see how Ugas will approach the much deadly Spence Jr on this fight. Let's hope to watch a fight that is not dictated by one but rather both are struggling to win and every round is a hard choice on who wins on that.

I don't think Ugas is a very obvious underdog either.
I'm also thinking the odds might not be that great or distant from the favourite. Ugas has all the potential to win this fight, though we all know Spence might be the more skilled fighter between them.
However, Ugas might be the smartest fighter between them as well. It's not easy beating Manny even If he's out of his prime though. Ugas beat him almost every round by countering all Manny's attack.

If the odds shared above are still the current odds, then I would say that the odds are not close.

About how Ugas beat Pacman, yes, it's very clear that it's a one-sided fight, however, Spence is still in his prime and he hits harder than Pacman probably, and being an undefeated champion Spence is, it's hard to bet against him as he could just dominate the fight just like how Porter beat Ugas when they met.
2334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 17, 2022, 02:03:07 PM
We only have one game tomorrow.

Detroit Pistons vs Orlando Magic, the home team is the favorite by -3.
This doesn't look like a fun game to watch, but we have no choice because they are the only game tomorrow.

What's your pick here?
2335  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: March 17, 2022, 01:27:16 PM
, I really want to see the upset of this fight. Garcia isn't that strong as his popularity.
Good luck with this, strong for me has a different definition and I think he is still as strong as he was before or even stronger. his last fight was a statement, he was knocked down, get up and beat his opponent, for me, that's a real warrior and it's hard to beat that kind of fighter.
Yes, but Ryan Garcia has some work to do in defence, but he's fast and can develop into a good defensive fighter, with big timing powers.
when Ryan Garcia against Campbell I thought Campbell would beat Ryan Garcia after falling in the second round and he got up and kept attacking which finally managed to knock Campbell out in the 7th round with a big left chest and a knockout.
So I will judge Ryan Garcia vs Emmanuel Tagoe there is a possibility of repeating my wrong prediction, to be honest if you look at Emmanuel Tagoe's experience he is more experienced than Ryan Garcia but that is not a benchmark because anything can happen.
Ryan Garcia was too complacent at that fight, but I'm sure he already learn a lot from that fight and he will be more mature going forward.

Sometimes, that's the problem of a knockout artist, they love to attack and as a result, they don't pay attention so much to their defense.
For Garcia, there's nothing to prove, he has shown in the past that he can knock out any opponent, all he has to do now is just win the fight and focus on winning than being aggressive wanting to end the fight early.
2336  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / TIPS how to manage from losing when investing new projects. on: March 16, 2022, 02:05:15 PM
It is really overwhelming to see the growing number of new projects but unfortunately, most of them are indeed worthless and have no use case to provide. Many had suffer losses because of some mistakes but we can avoid them if we have to do these things.

1. We buy coins not only because the price is low - many had thought that buying them in bulk gives them a good profit later.

2. We have to stop thinking about hypes - maybe some but not all of the new projects

3. Stop falling to scam projects - usually, people got tricked when seeing projects offer high rewards (good to be true) and most of them are just a lie.

4. Doing Research - we have to take this seriously as nobody had ever succeeded without this.
2337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is this real? on: March 16, 2022, 01:12:02 PM
snipped...

I think your research is right but i saw too many projects which launched on their site like guild of guardians and most high volume project which already launched but if they scam people like this then it is too sad for coinlist investors they can got hacked any times!! But i saw a few people already got hacked in my community
If the reason for the hack is after registering Coinlist exchanges, that is really a big question, Because if that been proven, there is something behind the exchanges and that probably there is an inside job.
I don't think their intention is to protect individual's accounts far from hacking incidents but somehow draw a conclusion that because of them, many people had lose control of their accounts and even lose their money.
Quote
then how much people can got hacked in the world i dont know.
There's more if the site still is going to operate. But if people will read and review the current status of this exchange, this can be avoided and able to stop their doings.
2338  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 16, 2022, 11:50:38 AM
^^ Spence should really be careful and not to take Ugas lightly because who knows, ring rust might affect Spence here and it might be too late before he can recover from that as Ugas might piled in points early on him. So still one month to go before the fight, just enough for them to really unwind their training for this big fight. Boxing media has started to pick up as well with Spence interviews here and there.
For sure there are some ring rust, but knowing how good Spence is, it should not be a big disadvantage for him because he already did that in the past when he met a car accident, came back, and beat Shawn Porter. IMO, Shawn Porter is even better than Ugas based on their previous fight.

The formula is very simple, Porter beat Ugas, Spence beat Porter, so the answer is SPENCE WINS.

No more complicating things, we know who is the better fighter here and if Ugas wins, we call it as an upset although they bought hold a belt and it's a unification fight, it's just that Spence is a more quality fighter and he is the more popular.
2339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 16, 2022, 11:27:48 AM
@YuginKadoya, 3 out of 4, good already.

Sixers now can't continue their great start with James Harden, looks like they are back to normal state but it's still good because in the playoffs, we can certainly rely on them to be more competitive since James Harden in the roster is a big plus.

Do you gamble last night also?
2340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: March 15, 2022, 01:41:14 PM
More than half of all of Ryan's fights he won by way of KO or TKO in rounds 1 and 2. Tagoe shouldn't commit this suicide.

That's the fact that Tagoe has to understad. However, Tagoe probably was getting offered with a big paycheck so he took this fight, and if he really believe that he can win this fight, then he sees this as an opportunity not only to have a good paycheck but a chance to become a champion with bigger fights waiting for him in the future.

This is a comeback fight for Garcia and the team and his promotions want to make sure that it will be something that will have a big bang and they have seen something on Tagoe that can make this happen an unknown fighter with a good record but not a knock out artist I'm pretty sure they scout Tagoe to pick him for Garcia's comeback back let's see if things will go their way.

Yes, it's his comeback fight and some called it a tune-up fight because he is fighting an unknown boxer. Maybe after this fight, his promoter is preparing for a big fight and probably that is against a champion. As what the bookies are showing, Garcia is a heavy favorite so the chance of Tagoe is very slim and personally I don't think an upset is even possible here.
