1341  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: December 17, 2022, 09:38:39 PM
It's a great idea if we can make it happen, in my opinion, it is very difficult to leave money for investment in the method or system above, there are many temptations to make the plan fail, if you are not married there will be many temptations to do pleasures such as traveling, trying various foods, and another hobby that makes easy money to run out.

You can save that amount easily depending on your lifestyle. If you are living a simple life and you are not an outgoing person who spends money just to mingle with your friends or if you don't have other expenses. But if you are an outgoing person who loves following the trend, then the temptation to spend too much will always exist. You need to focus only on your needs and not on your wants if you want to save bigger.
Having this lifestyle, you'll never that this person is thinking about saving but naturally enjoying his life while he/she is still alive. It is a very common reason why they do this  "we only live one's" and if we die, we can't do this stuff anymore and can't make use of our hard-earned money anymore. I got their point but for a responsible and not selfish person, they will always think about the future of their families, and giving them a comfortable and secured life is the best thing we can leave for them before we die. That is perhaps a good mindset, we work hard for the future, not just today.
1342  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing with your alt bags on: December 17, 2022, 09:11:01 PM
Almost all altcoins are now making new all time low, Gala games for example look like it's going to 0.015$ after holding 0.025$ for months, I have halted my buys right now because I believe that BTC will go lower, what are you plans?
Honestly, you are investing altcoins that are certainly at a low value in the market, therefore, it was hard to expect them to look green while Bitcoin is also on the decline situation. These coins are more independent of Bitcoin and when it dumps, these altcoins are badly affected and dump more.
And if you have trust in these coins, I suggest that you extend your patience and keep them, never think about selling them as you are probably at loss. May these coins will surge during the bull market, you'd better wait for that moment. If you have some funds, make use of it for other coins which are more profitable than these coins that you have mentioned.
1343  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs Mercito Gesta (January) on: December 17, 2022, 02:22:02 PM

Maybe there's less risk here but there's no assurance that they will win. Well, for Ryan Garcia, his camp knows how important this fight before a big fight with Tank Davis, so they choose a fighter that could give Garcia a good challenge. Until this fight is over, we cannot be too excited with Garcia's fight on Tank Davis as you know, upset could happen.
Between Ryan's opponent and Tank's opponent, Ryan is facing a risky challenger, Gesta's first fight was in 2003 and he fought for world titles two times already in 2012 and 2018 he is in battle tested and he just comes from a Unanimous decision win against Diaz he should not underestimate the guy style is very different from all the other boxers that Ryan has fought, he can engage and he is a good counter puncher, he will have a very good tune fight in Gesta and talking about upsets it's possible here.

That depends on how you see the fight, but if you look at the age gap, you can tell that there's a big difference as Garcia is only 24 years old while Gesta is already 35 years old. As per https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/218078, Gesta's alias is "Guerrero No Mercy", let's see if he will live that on his biggest fight of his life in boxing.
1344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 17, 2022, 01:35:49 PM
I guess Kawhi and PG13 are playing now as they are heavy favorites. Clippers -6.5

I'll take this one, I believe with PG13 and Kawhi Leonard, they will be there to dominate the opposing team. They even beat the Celtics which is better than the Wiz, so this one should be easy.
1345  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons why the 95% of future traders lose all of their money on: December 17, 2022, 12:35:39 PM
The majority of those losing their money with futures were not ready for it, one thing I find surprising when it comes to the markets is that somehow traders expect to become proficient at it in a matter of weeks and this is not possible.
That will happen to a trader that underestimates the market volatility. They are supposed to be ready enough to handle stress to believe that Futures Trading isn't just easy as they think. Otherwise, they will just fail and broke.
Quote
Becoming a good trader is a long process in which a series of steps needs to be taken, and if you try to skip those steps then your trading skill will not be as high as it should be and it will be incomplete as well, so when you face adverse market conditions you will make several mistakes which will cost you a lot of money, and those huge mistakes are the ones that end up destroying your account and your capital.
That certainly takes several months. Though we don't need perfection at least we have deep knowledge about trading and more experience as this is a huge factor in how to make a profit from trading. In fact, as we can see that real traders keep on trading despite the situation as they can manage how to handle difficult situations like during bear season and still make some money.
1346  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just how bad is the bear market right now? on: December 16, 2022, 09:04:36 PM
Just how bad is the bear market right now?
Historically low prices have endured for a longer period of time in the present bear market cycle than in any other.
We're just good. We just see the real scenario of the market and if we take a look at the past bear market, we will really be thinking we are too far from what happened before. Despite the market crash, I remain optimistic about the market as it recovers sooner. I'd never think about the worse scenario but what we have now is another opportunity given to us, especially for new investors.

If we are just looking for the negative views of the market, the more we got disturbed and can't even think of the right thing to do.
Trust is really what we need.
1347  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The reason Dogecoin could fail in the future on: December 16, 2022, 08:30:29 PM
Dogecoin won't be deserted, it will constantly be recognized as one of the minimal expense coins and individuals will continuously involve this coin for exchanges. In any case, to put resources into this coin, I for one wouldn't make it happen, in light of the fact that essentially this coin doesn't have sufficient basics and biological system, just depending on their local area which keeps on peddling like for instance what Elon Musk did some time prior.
That seems right...fees it a little bit far from ETH were it become a reason that many traders are still using this Dogecoin despite the negative view we heard.
Quote
Dogecoin has a relatively low transaction fee, making it an affordable option for online transactions The average transaction fee for a Dogecoin payment currently stands at 1.20 DOGE, or $0.11. That's lower than Bitcoin's average fee of approximately $1 per transaction and Ethereum's $0.53.

source: https://www.fool.com/investing/2022/12/16/dogecoin-the-ultimate-blend-of-absurdity-and-value
It is coast reliant and this could help people will not abandon this project but rather keep this alive.
In fact, as we can see even before Dogecoin had never been out of the top 20 coins in the CMC. Meaning, there is huge support from the community, not just Elon Musk who has been shilling this in the past years.
1348  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 16, 2022, 12:02:33 PM
Yes I do agree with @YuginKadoya - this boxers doesn't want to admit that they are hurt but you can see at the face and reaction of Butler when he is hit by Naoya, he circle and then trying to avoid the punches and then grimace in pain from body and head punch by Inoue.

And obviously, if Inoue goes up, then there will be a vacuum left in the 118 lbs and if Nonito still want to fight and be a world champion again then he can still go for the last time to become a champion until he retires.

Although before Nonito says he will go down to 115 lbs and probably now that we seen who won between Estrada and Chocolatito, he might go for Juan Estrada, but let's see.

There's a chance that he will become a champion again as only Inoue can beat him. I like to see him to become a champion again so he will be fully fulfilled when they think of retiring. Also, Butler can still try to be a challenger again since no more Inoue, which means the competition is very tight.
1349  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 16, 2022, 11:26:26 AM
Can the SMB be able to come back in the 4th quarter?

This is the opposite of what happened in game 1, it's now the Bay Area Dragons who are dictating the game, so let's see if SMB will be able to turn things around in the last quarter of the game. It's a must-win for them as they can't go down 2-0 as that would look like they'll be eliminated early or even be swept.
1350  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When devs don't even know what they are doing on: December 15, 2022, 09:38:03 PM

Can we say they don't know what they are doing? How can you name your project Bitcoin dot come and create token on Ethereum? I belief that Bitcoin dot come should have make their own bitcoin coin.
It is obvious they know what they are doing OP and they use the word Bitcoin in order to easily get attention. In fact, if you will do research about Bitcoin, you can find a lot of it on the internet.
 - a business strategy
 - a form of clickbait

They can create their altcoins instead but they preferred to use the name of Bitcoin thinking for easy money.
But as livingfree said - it addresses you to Bitcoin Cash (BCH) which literally a clickbait for newbies who think it was the original Bitcoin.

1351  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Demo Account, Should Not Be Related To A Real Account on: December 15, 2022, 09:11:58 PM
This is important because when I look at the demo account and the real account, I personally feel different things because I only use this demo account to play games, regardless of anything being there, clearly without any emotion.
Unlike the view when we are on a real account. This is very much different from feelings because sometimes you are afraid to do something and other worries always come.
We become emotionless because we don't care if ever we lose as we don't use money from our pocket, unlike if we are using a real account. We can take the risk to the highest level without any hesitation and become aggressive which is not really or barely happen when are do an actual trade.

I've tried a few months in daily trading and for now I seem to be too cowardly for that and prioritize long-term investments over day trading.
At this time, we need security and profit assurance which certainly could affect our decision and mindset. Fear and doubts increase especially if we suffer losses which we never find this feeling while using a demo account.
1352  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 15, 2022, 05:00:13 PM
Pretty much today is not really my lucky day in picking a pick, and all game was an upset and all of my picks was a lost,
Yeah, it was a bad day even for those who made a bet for the favorites.
I mean, I can understand the Warriors losing with Steph injured and Green thrown out due to 2 technicals, but the Hawks are a different story. From start to finish it's a disaster for them.

Yeah, hehehe, GSW lost again on the road,  I thought that is the perfect opportunity for them to break that curse against the Pacers.

Heat won the game, but didn't cover the spread.

Hornets lost to the Pistons in OT, and then one of the biggest upset tonight, Magic over the Hawks, 8 Magic players scoring double digits, taking about balance scoring.

Magic is for real, they are playing with so much confidence, so I would say that his young team has a chance to be in the playoffs. If you guys notice, they are on a 4 winning streak now, so I think we have to think twice betting against this team as we might lose some money.
1353  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: December 15, 2022, 01:40:50 PM
It is clear for anyone that watched the fight that Butler went up there with the clear intention of not losing the fight during the very first rounds, but while doing so he abandoned any chance of victory against Inoue, to me this is controversial, because while some may be impressed by Butler and his ability to last that long against someone like Inoue, I would say that I am disappointed about his attitude, as he took a path he knew he will have no chance to win, to me it would have been better for him to actually go for the victory, most likely he would still lose, but at least his chances of victory would not have been zero.

We can't blame Butler if he fights that way, Inoue isn't called the Monster for nothing. If he stands toe to toe with Inoue, he wouldn't last three rounds and he will suffer the same fate as Donaire. He was fighting scared that's why it lasted for 11 rounds which for me a victory for himself because even the bookies predicted that the fight will be over in under three rounds, that's why I grabbed the opportunity when I saw that odds.

With Top Rank grooming their newfound cash cow, for sure he will become a multi-division champion and I hope that he will meet Casimero while they are still at the peak of their careers.

He already knows how dangerous Butler is, the game plan is to let Inoue attack and attack and then let him makes mistake for him to take advantage of that. Unfortunately, Butler has no knockout power, so even though he hit Inoue some clean shots, he could not hurt him.
1354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH Holders on: December 12, 2022, 11:12:08 AM

Coinpedia believes that, if the hacked cashes out all his ETH Holdings, then ETH may continue its death rally further and fall below its crucial support zone of $1,075. After that, the price of ETH will likely stabilize closer to $900 before igniting a fresh surge by the beginning of 2023.
That was their assumption and no way I have to believe that either. Because I'd never think that these people (hackers) will tend to drop their ETH at the same time together, in fact, we never know their plan and also Coinpedia. I believe there might be a huge drop this month but never I think this is because of them. Whales are not panic sellers, they are pertained to hold even longer so selling this bear season wasn't in my view as they also waiting for the right time to sell.

I think you can post the link so we can verify it.
1355  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My advice If you are here to make money on: December 12, 2022, 10:31:26 AM
~
It is just plain simple that if people are into long-term, just go with Bitcoin. If you are actively trading whether it is really your expertise or just your hobby, then it could be different coins every day. I think there are some people misinterpreting what you're saying or what you're trying to imply.
Day trading did not work for me so I just went up straight hold for Bitcoin. I understand that taking it slow does not work for you and you decided to day trade or like you mentioned "trade coins everyday". Everyone has their own strategy in the end.
It is a need for us where we become productive and profitable for a reason that not all are become traders or really wanted to be. Just like you, you preferred to become an investor and holder which I believe was the best choice. We have to live in a place that we think we are comfortable with. Some impatient individuals will choose to trade either.

However, all of these are totally a way to earn a profit. But there is one thing I could say - keep our greediness not to the maximum level otherwise, this could lead us to lose.
1356  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Manny Pacquiao vs. DK Yoo on: December 12, 2022, 06:28:33 AM
I don't mean to be bias around here against DK Yoo but it sure looks to me that he got help by that referee twice. The fight would've ended much earlier as round 5 if not because of the referee's help as it was clear that he was knocked down but the referee ruled it as a slip ,moreover, I don't know if it's the whole boxing organization of South Korea but it sure do looks that they don't know how to organize it.

Yeah, I also saw that but I do not mind at all.  It is an exhibition fight so I expect it to be more like a circus fight than the regular one where the rules of boxing are implemented strictly.  When Manny Pacquiao was warned against hitting the head, when DK Yoo complained about the back of his head, I thought the fight would end up like Casimero-Akaho.  But the referee decided to let the fight continue.

Despite of the irregularities of calls, and referee giving DK Yoo more time to recover I am content on the performance and result of the fight.  Kudos to DK Yoo for making it to the final round even with all the body punch he received from Manny.

   -   Manny Pacquiao's advantage over DK Yoo is obvious, their fight didn't even reach 12 rounds, with Pacquiao if you watch their fight it doesn't seem to be taken seriously, you'll notice, the guys are still very restrained Manny punched Dr. Yoo.

But somehow, of course, Pacquiao still benefited a lot from that exhibition that happened in Korea from what I just saw, although we don't know the real purpose of that exhibition.

The real purpose of an exhibition fight is to entertain the crowd and make money, that's so obvious. Maybe Pacman targeted his venue in Asia first, the eventually he will go worldwide. Besides, he is very popular, so any exhibition fight that he would like to sponsor or co-sponsor will certainly sell to the crowd.
1357  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 12, 2022, 05:52:13 AM
^I’m glad the Pelicans just spammed the Suns again. Hometown team or not, I can’t hope for a team to win if I don’t respect their players. Glad Chris Paul got hammered all game and Zion smashed everyone. It needed to happen. The Suns are way too high off their Finals appearance still. They’re acting like they’ve won multiple championships or something. I’m ready to blow up this roster and give the team to Ayton.

Hahaha..They beat the Suns two in a row, and that's because they can't stop Zion. This team is legit, they are at the number 1 spot now, and they deserve respect so I don't know if the Suns have a shot of beating them once they'll face off in the playoffs. No Ingram, no problem. To be fair, Booker did not play so.... still the Pelicans are the better team.
1358  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The patience to hold is a gift on: December 11, 2022, 10:09:48 PM
Recommending someone to invest in Bitcoin is some how risky. If the don't have the patience to wait for the bull season to commence the might sell at a loss and but the blame on the introducer. And many likes attributing their failures to someone then their success to their personal effort. I have learnt from past experience that before I recommend Bitcoin to a newbie I will first ask how long the can hold for and that will determine if I will be willing to proceed with guidance or end it there.

It's not all about how long they will hold, it's how knowledgeable they are about of what they are dealing with. It's easy to invest into something but hard to get the profit/ROI that you want. So, if a newbie would want to invest this might take some personal or shared experience before they decide what to do with their investment.

If they have a good mentor then they are lucky to have one compared to those who are self-learning because it might take some time before they learn their lesson.
Learning is so fast if someone who has a huge knowledge of a particular thing like investing in crypto will accompany us and share their ideas as well. Because what we get from reading online, watching YouTube is incomplete while if someone teaches you and explains to you face to face, it was easy to understand.

But also, if we wanted to enhance our knowledge and skills, we have to improve our mindset as well and tried to encourage ourselves not to be afraid of taking risks. Because this form of investment is not just all about knowledge and skills but also about the experience. More experience - more learning.
1359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether: USDT is the next token to crash / Tether fraud exposed on: December 11, 2022, 09:44:36 PM
If USDT is going to be a problem it should have happened before Luna and FTX, later Tether was audited and they drop proof of reserve too, that's what I read online but I will be surprised if something happened because right from day one all eye is on USDT and Tether.
This could trigger another bear trend and maybe this will be the worst one.
Stablecoins are on a big threat right now and if USDT fall into a big drop as well, then it will be hard for the market to rise again and for sure, the trust for stablecoins will be at risk. USDT should address every issues and assure the public about the safety of the funds, hoping that this is just a rumor.
Actually, trust in stablecoins has already been disturbed after several crashes and scam issues. Investors are now about to think if they will invest them or not knowing the high risk and possibly losing their money. As this issue has been spreading and perhaps, it was alarming already - people will not put their money into them (stablecoins) and tend to stay away from them.

I have been using Tether before for my trade but now, after all the issues have been raised, I already stop and not use it anymore.
1360  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: December 11, 2022, 12:37:20 PM
We have a few games tomorrow but the most interesting game I saw is the Suns vs Pelicans.

This is a rematch, Suns thought they were disrespected by the Pelicans, so they have to beat the Pelicans in another game, still at the Pelicans homecourt.
The spread now is Pelicans -3 and the last game's result was 117 - 128... Let's start analyzing this game.

My personal thoughts, I think I will still stick with the home team.
