1381  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Is Approaching $17000 on: December 04, 2022, 01:38:46 PM
The price of Bitcoin which dropped sharply from $ 22K to $ 16K in a week when the FTX case occurred now seemed difficult to rise, yesterday the price of $ 17K and today dropped again to around $ 16800, of course this is a long journey to be able to see the price skyrocketing again.
We got crazy if we keep following the chart. The dump and pump are going to happen whether we like it or not.
That is why I keep a distance from the market and tried not to check the price because it only gives us headaches. Because even if we see the price of Bitcoin will reach $20 today, still it gives us no confidence that it will stay there. The bear season still dominating the market and it looks like we never see any improvement that would say we are moving far from it.

The FTX issue is almost over but it feels like still a lot of people can't move on.
1382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 04, 2022, 11:57:07 AM
Right, by now we know what Davis can really bring to the Lakers, specially when he was in a rampage and the statistics that he has put in that 5 game stretch if I'm not mistaken. But they can't totally depend on him, because admit it or not, he is very fragile that a simple fail or just going to get the ball or even helping his team mates to stand up might result in pulled muscle or injuries.

So as a coach, Ham should experiment with different combination, sort of testing everything when Davis is on the bench.

To get a feel and see who works inside an who doesn't.
Well said and I agree with it. The Lakers team should always prepare about what may happen in the future as Davis's had a bad history of sudden injuries which will leave them hanging again. Lebron is also in the stage of that as he is getting older.
Next will be Westbrook to lead the team, Schroder to back him up and Reaves to be the next playmaker if Russ will let it.
They have a lot of young players too, give them more minutes to gain more experience on a well-lighted floor. They may be good at practice but it's always different when it's game time.

They can use all their role players and let them try working together to give rest for the starters, like how GSW is doing
when they are resting their main core.

Coach Ham needs to bring his system to the entire team and not just to focus on their stars,
I agree with Davis and LeBron they are both an important part of the team and the bad effect of
them not playing, the team mostly struggle or most of the
time, they will lose the game.

They had found a system that works for them, Westbrook does not need to be a triple-double man, he can take care of the 2nd unit and they are effective with that. The Lakers now have become a threat, they were disregarded early but now they are winning games and that resulted in an improvement in their ranking.

Lakers are number 13 now but the good news is they are 7-3 on their last 10 games.
1383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Estrada vs Chocolatito - Trilogy - Dec 3, 2022 on: December 04, 2022, 11:05:46 AM

Many people must have bet on estrada, perhaps even to try their luck predicting that the same thing of the past would happen, and were lucky to get it right, pity that I did not bet on this fight

Was Estrada the underdog? Well, if they bet on him they must have enjoyed their winning. If I would have bet on this fight, I would choose Chocolatito because I believe he is the better fighter, but this fight is really close and there could be a fourth fight if they still want to entertain the fans.

Congratulations to both fighters for entertaining the fans, and congratulations to Estrada for winning the fight.
1384  Other / Off-topic / Re: Am I being scammed? on: December 04, 2022, 10:43:46 AM
I don’t doubt that.

Addendum to original post: he has shown me an ETH view only wallet with the money in it that he has promised and that because it is coming as a trustee or something from a business wallet account to a personal one as the reason why these fees are needed.

Even as I write this I can see how ridiculous it sounds but just wanted ti get someone’s opinion here
We can easily use other wallets and see inside and then make use of it to show to others, to the person that they wanted to scam to think that they have money. But above all, it was a lie, and perhaps, it was a common tactic that usually these scammers do. And the moment that they will get your trust and almost succeed in their plan, they start to make some drama that sometimes they gain sympathy from you but not knowing it was another tactic to divert your attention.
- It was been so many times that every member here is suggesting not to trust people online especially when it talks about money.
1385  Other / Off-topic / Re: How important is working experience, and can it be ignored? on: December 03, 2022, 09:58:20 PM
For now, working experience is a criterion to qualify for a job. I can tell that because I was once in a hiring position and it was one thing I look at when hiring people for the company and usually, it should be related to the job they are applying for. This is to give room for those who have long experience to work without close supervision and of course, to save from spending time in training. It is one benefit that the company gets from hiring them.

Though inexperienced people can still send their applications, however, it was the discretion of the hiring manager to accept them or not. As for me, this is really matters now and every applicant must aware of it especially if you are applying for a skilled and higher position.

1386  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why We People Cannot Think Like Whales 🐋 🐳? on: December 03, 2022, 09:40:33 PM
Whales are smarter when it talks about opportunities. They are very certain about their plan and movement unlike how these usual investors do.
Whales are not easily got panic, they don't care much about FUDs and so whatever because they believe that all of these are just temporary and if you are aiming long-term, it doesn't matter.

Besides, whales are not afraid to lose their money, they are risk-takers. And they can stand their plan despite the market condition, unlike usual investors that easily change their minds because they carry worries and uncertainties.
1387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: December 03, 2022, 01:32:36 PM
Damn, I though I already see the most worst fight of boxing history in presence of Rigondeaux vs Casimero. But this is more worst its clear that Casimero won this match and it seems the referee is so bias with that japanese fighter what a big shame on his career for acting like being hit on the back of the head while its clear that he didn't take a serious hit in that area.
I saw it too, ref even count Casimero a knock down although it was very obvious that he was only slipped when he wasn't able to hit Akaho with a swing punch.

Akaho really felt the strength of Casimero and he know if he continue he will sleep on the ring and get more heavy damage.

If he hasn't acted like he was hit hard at the back, he will be more shame as he will surely get knockout.
Bias ref and actor fighter, LOL.. what a shame.
1388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 03, 2022, 11:35:51 AM
Jazz is on a 3 winning streak, so I decided to ride on them.

Tomorrow we have Jazz vs Blazers, Jazz will be hosting Blazers and they are favored by 4 points, so I'm taking it without hesitation.
Also, I have a feeling that this game will easily go to over, so I'm taking the over as well.

GL everyone.
1389  Economy / Economics / Re: How much longer until paper money is no longer in circulation? on: December 02, 2022, 09:19:09 PM
I can't imagine paper money just going away...  Even when it is removed from circulation it will probably be phased out, but I'm sure there will always be a bank you can take paper to in order to get whatever value is passed around at the time.  I imagine there are older folks who will not be able to move to a new system and will rely on cash because that's what they've always used.  All that considered, you are already seeing cash use diminish in most countries and I think by 2040 kids won't even see cash in their lifetimes out of collections.
Maybe it will happen in developing countries but in our place, that is impossible. I say this because I know that most of my countrymen lack in financial support, no gadgets, and no internet. I couldn't really imagine how they know about using the digital systems in that status of life but for sure they preferred to keep using paper money forever.

I see there is one reason why paper money can still be in circulation.

1390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: December 02, 2022, 01:28:10 PM

And for sure Spence doesn't want to get criticized specially on how Crawford portray them during their negotiations for a potential fight for this year.

This is Spence chance to prove that he is better than Crawford if he will win this fight, why? because he has a better opponent compared to Crawford who is not a championship caliber fighter. If this would not happen and Crawford won his fight, people will talk more about Crawford and Spence might be left behind.
1391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 02, 2022, 12:49:45 PM
Romeo playing with limited minutes now but is very efficient already.

He already had 8 points from 3/6 shooting, and SMB is already leading by 20 points so most likely Romeo will have more minutes since he is playing very well. SMB is really different in situations where they badly need a win, so I guess we have a winner already.

It ended up a close game, if the ref did the right call when Lassiter was on back court violation, there's a chance the game will go to OT. By the way, Romeo finished with 12 points with 16 minutes of playing and his shooting percentage is very poor, 5/14.
1392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn 9-10% APY using USDT and a simple strategy on: December 02, 2022, 12:15:29 PM
You're pointing out OP that if we wanted to earn 9-10% APY we need to increase our funds and a loan becomes necessary.
Did you think this could help traders? I say NO but I would say that this will even add burden to them and bother them as this is not just their concern about earning a profit but also on how to pay their loan as well.

-traders must seeks a working strategy, not those who take them to higher risk and give them losses.
1393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why ETH price keeps decreasing? on: December 01, 2022, 09:53:50 PM

Yes, in general, this whole transition is very doubtful! The PoS algorithm itself is not some kind of innovative solution and in general, it is not entirely clear why and to what this transition was made. There are other coins that work with the PoS algorithm, and it is very little noticeable that they have become popular or in demand only thanks to this algorithm. it seems to me that this algorithm is very much idealized and overrated!!!
Yes, it seems the results are pretty bad but I respect the acceptance isn't clear and fast which takes time. However, the development continues and I don't think that Mr. Vitalik will just let this dropping scenario do deeper. But considering the current situation, the demand isn't really high. We can't really expect a price rally at this point but let us see how it improves next year as I guess that is something enough to see how the transition affects the demand.
1394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 01, 2022, 01:03:20 PM
The Lakers got themselves a nice win over the Damian Lillard-less Portland Trailblazers. LeBron James and Anthony Davis both had big nights.

The Cleveland Cavs got another win over 76ers. They beat them by 28 and have the 5th best record in the league now. Biggest surprise of the season for sure. I thought they’d be tanking for the draft.

They cannot do that unless they don't have the all-stars in their team playing this season because it will be obvious if they gonna do it that way. They can still catch up when they are winning like this because the other teams that were winning in the first phase of the season, are now losing and giving every low-rank team to catch up and have their chance to be in the playoff. If the Lakers can still win more games than lose the remaining games of the season, probably they can be in the top 5 or 6 in the NBA playoff tree.

Yes, I also thought that the Jazz is going to tank this year because of the trades that they have made. Not just for the players, but they changes their coach as well. But everyone is shock when the players they acquired when they trade Mitchell and Gobert is somewhat performing very well and blended instantly to the Jazz.

And then Clarkson having a good game as a Jazz and for sure they made the right decision not to trade him as probably he will turn out to be the leader of the team now. Lakers will be the Lakers though, they will have to find win again with Lebron leading them. And even without Lillard, still considered as a good win.

I would be so happy if we talk more about the Jazz, after a long losing streak, they are probably going to a good win streak as they have already activated it. Clarkson had a decent 33 points in the game against the Clippers, and you can tell that they are moving the ball well with hi on the floor, his unselfishness is the exact opposite of Mitchell's performance when he was with the Jazz.
1395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: December 01, 2022, 12:10:54 PM
Here you go guys, the betting odds are up.

https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/boxing/international/international-matchups/casimero-john-riel-vs-akaho-ryo-6387073ec8d4e86e60ddb77a

As expected, Casimero is listed as the heavy favorites.

here are the odds.

Casimero - 1.15
Akaho - 5.20
Casimero is being paid less profit but Casimero is a potential player and he is very strong and his fighting capacity is at a very high level.  So I think Casimero will win this boxing match.  Because I've seen him play before and I'm impressed every time I see him fighting . He is a young boxer on the other hand I am a big fan of his body tattoos

That's not a payment structure, it's a betting odds where you will choose to bet on if you are interested in risking your money for this fight. It means if you bet on Casimero, you'll only win 15% of your bet, while if you bet on Akaho, you'll win 420%.
Akaho might get 420% profit but his chances of winning are very low so betting on him is very risky.  Potential bets are better for lower profits than losing real money by betting on huge profits. So I think it makes sense to bet on Casimero in that case . I wouldn't advise anyone to bet on Casimero.  Because each person's thoughts and preferences may be different, it is natural that everyone will bet based on their own opinion and preferences

It's actually not him who will get a profit, but the bettors in case they'll win, and I'm not sure if boxers are allowed to bet on themselves during a fight, I think that's an issue as they can manipulate the fight for them to win, just like losing intentionally to win their bets.

by the way, betting poll looks in favor of Casimero as only 1 voted for Akaho.
1396  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think that we will see 13500 Dollars In 2022 on: November 30, 2022, 11:05:00 AM
I think we have a retest approaching, presuming we dont recover both the 2 day and weekly averages.  At present it seems to be drifting towards the rocky shores of prior lows, 15800 roughly and if it doesnt clear that area soon and with some confidence then the situation would develop negatively from there at least near term.

The price of $ 15800 was never thought of by everyone so that when there were prices below $ 16K, there would be a large volume of purchase, and the good news of the few days was the price soon to reach $ 17K, and today it has reached $ 16800 and I'm sure tomorrow or in December Prices will start rising.
Well, I say that many are waiting for $15k which triggers a huge buying volume leading to a price increase. But the situation isn't over yet and it was not time to lose confidence with the few pump as the dump may strike again even if it was the holiday season. I do respect the volatile nature of the market and we are not sure if this December we still see what we have experienced in most holiday seasons.
Still watching the market changes and keeping interested in what will happen a few days passed after the FTX issue.
1397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTX collapse: Good or bad for crypto in the long run? on: November 28, 2022, 11:52:43 AM
I was happy that it happens earlier than in the time when many holders and investors put their money into this platform and more people suffer losses.
But I see the bad impact of it in crypto,
 - trust will become a problem, and it is hard for new exchanges to gain trust.
And the good impact is that,
 - it will give a lesson for those who think about using exchanges as a storage platform and make themselves stay away from doing it.
1398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad beginning for crypto beginners. on: November 28, 2022, 10:46:11 AM
Most beginners who invest in cryptocurrencies hear success stories from other people, in 2014 I was also tempted to mine but I had no capital and was planning to sell my house, unfortunately I was given advice that this was risky, but if I continued mining at that time then I can be rich because mining at that time was very profitable.
So what happened to you now? Broke or success?

Anyways, it is really great to hear successful stories in crypto but all of these things never happen instantly. We also have heard that these people face difficulties and lose a lot of money as well before they got where they are now. So if you will say that if you proceed to mining, we never know as well if you also succeed. Imagine, a lot of people doing mining, investing a huge amount but unfortunately, not all of them reach their goal.
1399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: November 28, 2022, 08:26:37 AM
This fight going to be big fight, both the participants are equal with their strength and strategy. Thurman had the reputation already in the championship. He had won three times of the game he played. Even Thurman not in the top 5 position, his game was impressive in the boxing league. His game and tactics helped them to score the points and with three championship. He is recovered from the injury and will make the good game for the upcoming matches.

Everyone is expecting that Spence will win, but we have Thurman who is not a champion but still fight like a Champion. I'm glad that Spence take this challenge although it's mandatory now, but the fact that Spence fighting a legit challenger, that will make this fight very interesting compared to the fight of Crawford.

It's also because most of the 147 lbs fighters are into the stable of Al Haymon in PBC that's why it's easy to made. As compare to Crawford which has to settle on Avanesyan on his next fight as he can't find a good dance partner.

And that is why he is still being criticized eventhough is no longer with Top Rank.

But as a I have said, PBC controls that division and they have Thurman and Spence to fight next and obviously the winner will all be in house money and belt for them.

Wait, is this fight already official? The last information that I know is that both camps are yet on the talks and trying to come up with the same goal. Did Spence already accepted it though? And it was rumored that this bout will happen somewhere around the 3rd week of the next month. Which got me thinking that the rumored date is quite near and practically almost impossible to make it happen as boxers need their time to study and prepare for it.
I'll be glad to hear more information about this bout.

I guess even if Spence will not agree with this fight but it's already ordered by WBC that Thurman will have to defend his title.

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10055263-errol-spence-ordered-to-defend-welterweight-title-vs-keith-thurman
Quote
The World Boxing Council (WBC) has ordered welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr. to defend his belt against Keith Thurman.

The order occurred during WBC's convention in Mexico, per ESPN's Mike Coppinger, who also noted that Spence could defend his unified welterweight championship.

That article was published NOVEMBER 10, 2022, and I think "bleacherreport.com" is a reputable website.

We should not doubt that this fight is not gonna happen, otherwise, we will again lose the opportunity to witness a very exciting fight.
1400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 28, 2022, 07:26:18 AM

My other bet was on the Warriors ML vs Timberwolves, after the Wolves lost to Charlotte Hornets a few days ago, I knew it should be a W for the Warriors, regardless of them playing a back to back game, The 20 points first quarter lead by Andrew Wiggins and the splash brothers was enough for them to bank on for the entirety of the game.

Congrats on that win, Warriors finally had a very convincing win on the road, I think that was their first win if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, they made a big statement with that huge win, and looks like the Wolves will continue to struggle, just a bad move getting Gobert I believe.

I read somewhere that Anthony Edwards is not happy with the Timberwolves since they acquired Gobert. Maybe that is a factor to their current situation right now.

If that rumor is true then I think they should trade Gobert, they can't let go fo Edwards who is their MVP in the last playoffs, their chemistry is really good and they actually surprise the crowd. They already have one big man which can score and can do great defense, so adding a main center is just not a good idea for the team, I hope they'll realize that soon.
