2321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Possible To Mine Bitcoin with Supercomputer? on: November 07, 2019, 10:23:07 PM
These Russians were jailed for attempting to mine bitcoin at a nuclear facility. Would they really have gotten coins mining with a supercomputer? https://www.cryptoinfowatch.com/russian-nuclear-engineer-jailed-for-mining-bitcoin-at-work/

In the article you qouted there was no mention of the supercomputer be able to mine some bitcoins. But here on this site https://www.hpcwire.com/2019/10/02/bitcoin-mining-on-russian-nuclear-supercomputer/ you can actually read that they have mined some currency before they are caugth. The thing is that the amount of coins they have successfully mined have not been disclosed.
Are you sure they used the supercomputers at a nuclear facility to mine crypto-currencies? I thought they used the free nuclear power there to power some rigs and then were able to make pretty decent profits of a free power source.

It depends what you are classifying as a supercomputer, because frankly speaking, they don't really exist yet, with the most effective mining machines being powerful GPU intensive PC's, or specific mining cards, or even a regular asic miner.

They aren't really a huge step up compared to the other machines out there.
You are right, they would use free nuclear power to mine bitcoins and that's why they were caught + they were doing this in a very wrong place so.
But now let's turn on question: Mine bitcoin with supercomputer? If it's possible to mine eth with asic, then why not? (know silly comparison). A lot of things are possible but it's also another task how beneficial they are. Sometimes you can do something but don't do because pros doesn't outweigh cons.
We know Google Quantum Computer exists, so what about to ask that question to google staff?
2322  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1xBit.com - Betting, Bitcoin Sportsbook, Casino web-site| ONLINE SPORTS BETTING! on: November 07, 2019, 09:42:59 PM
I thought 1xbit was a pretty old platform. Because I often see banner ads on many platforms, is this the original ANN?

On the other hand, I looked at the betting rates for the League of Legends world cup final. You can also bet which champions will be selected in the tournament, attracted a lot of interest, and decided to try.
1xbit isn't old but not new too, it was founded in 2016 year (fall). 1xbet is pretty old platform by the way.
These two casinos are the same + the fact that 1xbet has curacao license makes this fact even clear. But the most curious thing is that 1xbet prioritizes Russina players and Russian market in overall, they actively run advertisements on Russian language websites. But on another hand I have no idea what 1xbit does. 1xbet has a lot of tables in Evolution Gaming studio, they pay a lot for that but at the same time our dead casino 1xbit has one table too. Scam casino pays to own private blackjack table? I have no idea why and what's their point.
2323  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No Wonder Satoshi Disappeared... on: November 07, 2019, 09:17:38 PM
Decentralized. Easy to Send and receive. Valuable. These are some of the things we may take for granted. Think of what others who didn't have the foresight may go through in future. Crypto is money. Money is big business. No wonder Satoshi disappeared. https://www.cryptoinfowatch.com/ripples-woes-may-multiply-as-disgruntled-investor-files-fresh-claims/
Creation of bitcoin was great thing, it needed some background story and it happened, scenario: Satoshi created bitcoin, mined 1 million btc and then disappeared. Why was he with us for a while? It's still unknown and also why he disappeared but I have own versions on this.
1. Maybe he disappeared because he got 1 million bitcoin, enough money for his life. Revealing of his identity would be very risky and dangerous for his health/wealth. Remember why bitmixer owner closed real and super money making machine, his website? He earned money and closed to feel safe, did best thing.
2. What benefit would he get from being in a game? Satoshi gone, bitcoin alone and rises. No fear for satoshi but to see huge gains and profits. Which is better, to be under stress or to sit at home, watch TV and be billionaire? Almost everyone dreams that last one and satoshi turned that dream into reality for him.
3. We can say a lot of variants, maybe it wasn't done by individual and planned from governments? Look bitcoin like a virus, you think it's unbeatable (anonymous) and there is no antidote (way to track transactions) but in reality there is and creators own that. Then this last one sounds logical too.
2324  Economy / Speculation / Re: This Is Why Bitcoin Price Could Hit $55,000 Next Year: Crypto Zombie in Trader’s on: November 07, 2019, 08:57:36 PM
To be fair there were some more important statements in this article than only the subject of your thread. I liked when he said why to catch falling knife when we can catch confirmed uptrend? It's better to miss 25% profit and catch 200% worry free profit. And now what's about subject, he states halving again and I 100% agree with him, halving will play huge role in bitcoin's price further rise like it did in past and made insane rise.
By the way it was really a good article, thanks for sharing.
2325  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Art & Blockchain on: November 07, 2019, 08:24:06 PM
Usage of word blockchain is insanely a lot, I see blockchain everywhere in everything. People use this word to make things innovative and put blockchain where there is really no need of it.
Personally the only way I think about ART and blockchain is the way I look correlation between gold and blockchain. Blockchain technologies can bring more transparency and security to the trading of artworks.
This usage idea came to my mind because of famous arts and it's also beneficial for new painters who sell their paints via ebay or local auctions and etc, this way buyer will feel much more confident that he owns real one and stealing of it won't be beneficial for anyone because of records available in blockchain.
2326  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another day, another Faketoshi on: November 07, 2019, 08:01:22 PM
Some years ago it was a little bit scandal when someone was claiming that he was real satoshi but I think now everyone who does that makes himself appear very silly in public. We all know this silly trand so I don't talk about that but by the way I have one question: Don't they know about bitcointalk forum? And don't they know that when they do such silly statements, people see that and laugh at them? I wonder if any "faketoshi" was member of this forum before coming up with such ideas. That's a shame.
2327  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Can I trust freebitco.in? on: November 07, 2019, 07:23:16 PM
Hi everyone,

Just to know feedbacks and experiences of other users with freebitco.in. I don't want to waste my time with scam faucets. The last review about freebitco.in is freebitco.in review: scam? Real earnings? and it seems that it is a trustable bitcoin faucet.

Anyone can give me some feedback please?
Thank you
Very bad attempt to promote your website and it's really a shame that you ask such thing. You don't want to waste your time with scam faucets? And when you say word faucet, you ask question whether freebitco is scam or not?
Freebitco is a website from which a lot of people you see there started their steps in bitcoin. This website was like an entrance/hall in bitcoin world. Current freebitco isn't even ash of old freebitco but this website is still legit, nothing has changed in this aspect.
Btw good luck in faucet jurney, especially now when price isn't 100-200$.
2328  Economy / Economics / Re: Any ideas of what we lack in crypto world? on: November 07, 2019, 07:02:23 PM
I think a bit of regulations on exchanges and new project wouldn't harm anyone. It will affect the decentralization aspect a bit but it will also provide the needed security to the people. Many people are wary of cryptos because of the lack of security of their funds. Though the security depends upon us only but little bit of regulations over exchanges will bring cryptos int he good books.

I think that regulations can have a good effect, as well as having a law to protect those investors, so that they can have something that can sue in case one project run away or turned to scam. As well as, we should unite as one in eliminating scam so people who were once victim of scam, will once again gain the trust for crypto.
At the moment it's still very hard to regulate online projects and catch scammers because internet is worldwide and your government won't put much effort to catch person from another country and etc so still and I think in future too you'll have a need to use your brain or maybe every domain registrator will require KYC documents for that so this way I guess it will be avoided.
Regulations on exchanges has it's pros and cons and that's mentioned correctly.
In crypto world we lack the situation which was 11 years ago when bitcoin was created. At that moment it was truly decentralized, anonymous and in overall amazing currency. Now it's becoming opposite of this and is subject of commercial business.
2329  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How we can introduce bitcoin to local people on: November 07, 2019, 06:10:43 PM
If you don't own any business or don't engage in any activities and aren't famous, then it's hard or almost impossible to make even any insignificant promotion of bitcoin. So in overall you have to be higher than average person. In this case if you meet this criteria, it's easy to do your best in introducing bitcoin to local people, for example: If you own cafe, stick small banner that you accept bitcoin payments or even make some discount for them who will pay in bitcoin. This way people will get interested in bitcoin and you act like you introduce bitcoin to them. Can do the same on supermarket, clothe shop and etc on any type of business.
Also if you are famous, doesn't matter where, in university or just public person, you have opportunity to introduce it to a lot of people pretty easily, you are the key there.
2330  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am done with KYC on: November 07, 2019, 05:34:52 PM
~
but kyc is done not only to know the customer, but a project has rules where the customer must be really pure, not bot. so I think if you do kyc you have to be careful that personal data isn't stolen because in my opinion kyc is sometimes needed for projects.

Indeed, KYC is like a filter from bounty participants because there were many of them caught cheating the campaign.
There was no KYC rule on the past bounty campaigns, but for the sake of prevent dumping, they need to eliminate the cheating hunters.
Personal Identification documents are needed in some projects, for example for opening bank account, insurance and etc to prove that you are real and it belongs to you in case there is something wrong but today this is messed, I think there must be some kind of regulation on KYC procedure/documents and on companies/projects who collect them. It's legalized criminal activity and even governments push them for that. Our data is hang on and they can play with it as they wish, this situation sucks and needs to be fixed. Hope governments will take care of it cause a lot of KYC documents were leaked and it's not even beneficial for local security in countries.
2331  Other / Meta / Re: Signature Campaigns causing lifeless posts in Gambling section on: November 07, 2019, 05:02:07 PM
The reason why I want to bump this thread is following: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5199545.0 (can't insert hyperlink)
In this thread someone asks: Are You Willing To Teach Your Children How To Gamble If You Are Good At It?
Just tell me the logic behind this question. It's like are you willing to teach your children drink if you don't get headaches after hangover?
I know a lot of silly questions are asked there while there are really some interesting topics too but cmon, don't open your fantasy so widely. Don't post anything for the sake of signature, enough is enough.
2332  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do long term holding profitable in all cases? on: November 07, 2019, 04:24:12 PM
Should I continue holding my ethereum? Am a believer of long time holding but am currently beginning to lose faith due to fact that I have been experiencing constant decline in my major coins that I have been holding since late 2017. The coin in question is ethereum which I have been holding since when its value was around $1,300 and now its value is now less than $200 per one.
Should I continue holding my ethereum?
Idk what to say about another coins but still I share the same thoughts on bitcoin, ethereum and on some other ones. Can't 100% surely say that on ethereum but for me on bitcoin it's like a gold rule: Bitcoin will always surpass it's all time high. Was it once 20K? It will be 21 next time, not maybe in 1-2 months but maybe in some years. So to my mind long term holding is profitable, for bitcoin's situation, halving gives me that high hopes cause price went from 600$ to 20k after halving, slowly but it went and was amazing.
Personally I would hold ethereum too or at least sell that when price will rise a little bit to not get serious loss from it.
2333  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Like An Orphan on: November 06, 2019, 10:36:01 PM
Why don't we have people doing this for btc adoption. This would encourage newbies like us. https://www.cryptoinfowatch.com/roger-ver-gives-away-free-bitcoin-cash-believes-it-would-be-worth-5000-in-future/
At first do you know who are customers of such "promotions"? Mostly kids. I highly doubt any person with job and etc will waste time to get Roger's 1$. That giveaway is far from adoption and that means nothing, if he wanted to do something at least, he could do something similar of blockchain.com's 25$ stellar giveaway. But if we ask him, he give away 5000$ in reality instead of 5$ but it's another task how that happens by his logic, why will BCH rise that much. I see better hope in other altcoins like monero, ethereum, grin and etc rather than bch.
2334  Economy / Gambling / Re: Luckyhash.net Crypto casino Dice/slots 0.5% house edje on: November 06, 2019, 09:48:34 PM
To be fair website looks very unprofessional, design has to attract people, not opposite which your website does (sorry but that's my opinion, hope at least mine). Well, nothing to talk about template, website lacks a lot of important information which includes max bets too, what's the limit of win and etc. You need to add FAQ (frequently asked questions) page on your website. Just see how other websites did, don't copy from them but consider them.
Is that bought script or your own one?
Sorry if I came with a lot of negative but believe me, they have to be fixed, it's better for you to achieve your goal.
2335  Economy / Economics / Re: Where's my free money? on: November 06, 2019, 09:18:01 PM
I've heard his name numerous times on the forum, but sad to say I still don't really know who he is.  He's made some wild predictions about bitcoin, correct?  Did he make a specific prediction that was supposed to have come true by now?  Just curious.  I wish I had the patience to keep track of all the predictions these people make, not only in crypto but also in other markets like gold & silver.  These "big names" have no compunction about saying bitcoin or gold is going to the moon by a certain time and then somehow that prediction gets lost in the sands of time and nobody ends up caring about the accuracy of their predictions.

And they make these predictions to keep their names in the news, to keep them relevant and also probably to hype whatever asset they're making the prediction about.  It's a fucking disgusting practice but a very common one in crypto and in the metals markets.

Lol. Did McAfee call you and made a deal with you?
I'm sure OP is just making a point here, though I wish he would be more specific about what McAfee said and what OP is referring to, because I don't know exactly what this ass-busting is in reference to.
‎John McAfee founded famous company McAfee, LLC (haven't you heard antivirus McAfee?). He predicted Bitcoin (but in original post it's typo bircoin) at $1 million by the end of 2020, if that doesn't happen that way, he will eat his own dick on national television.
Also this man claims that he knows real satoshi and gave him some time to reveal himself or if he won't do that, John McAfee will and that will be bad for satoshi.
I think this man is just a clown because of his statements, 2021 will come soon, national TVs prepare! McAfee will be McAeat
2336  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Webdesigner with crypto knowledge looking for design work (working for tokens) on: November 06, 2019, 08:42:06 PM
What about to include your works via imgur link? I ask this because instead of following your link, I googled that image upload website and got results where some people claimed it was full of malwares and etc. So I think doesn't worth to risk, just use old but gold imgur website for your and our safety.
So you are making website designs? Just in photoshop or you make template in html/css too?
Please share more with us, let's be a little bit talkative cause otherwise it's hard to understand what you offer and etc, you won't gain clients that way.
2337  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BNB become the king of all coins on: November 06, 2019, 08:06:41 PM
I don't know what you guys think about altcoins and cryptocurrencies in overall but to my mind most part of their users use it because of better anonimity and privacy protection. Still cryptos are great investment option and in this profile, I highly doubt anything will come closer to bitcoin so I think BNB has zero chance here. On another hand if we talk about anonimity, currently nothing can come close to Monero so no place of BNB there.
To sum up, how can it become king of all coins? In which aspect BNB shines? TX fees? Oh no, believe me.
2338  Economy / Speculation / Re: HODL'ers lose. That is no surprise on: November 06, 2019, 07:27:27 PM
No No No - I bought 250+ bitcoin 4 years ago and using it I bought free and clear a new farmhouse (which I fixed up the way I want using an additional couple hundred thousand dollars), a big imported Amish barn, on 40 acres of land with 10 acres of field and 30 acres of beautiful hardwood forest, a new tractor, new soapstone woodstove, many cords of firewood, tens of thousands of dollars in furniture - the list goes on.

I still have a couple million dollars of BTC .

Hodlers lose? LMAO.  Here I am a multi-millionaire because of BTC.  Did I lose?  You be the judge.
Don't know whether your story is true or not (I mean buying of 250 coin, that's really much) but I agree with you, HODlers never lose, at least from this 11 years experience, we can proudly say that but at the same time I amn't fan of hodling because money mustn't be frozen, it has to be in circulation.

I am glad that you did well RonF but I do not think it is a good idea to reveal your holdings, hackers are always trying to find victims for their scams, in fact I will not be surprised that since you posted this information you received many personal messages asking for loans, give outs, investment opportunities, scam attempts or even threats.

There are many ways to protect our coins and I trust you are already taking the necessary steps to do so but one of the easiest ways to protect yourself is by not advertising the amount of coins you have, or even better never tell anyone what you know about cryptocurrencies.
Then almost entire forum knows that Ognasty was owning a lot of bitcoins, forum's treasure but anything happened? Also escrows own a lot of bitcoins but nothing happens. You'll receive such messages very often whether you really own coin or not. It's ok to state such thing there to my mind + no one knows how true is that information.
2339  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have anyone tried to stop gamblers from losing while they keep on wagering. on: November 06, 2019, 07:02:39 PM
I've been into gambling for a long, my major focus was on sports betting. From sports betting earned good, but I wasn't able to make the success continue. I lost out of greed, further my focus turned towards casinos where we get the instant results and doesn't want to wait as we wait on sports betting till a match gets over. By this time I was entirely new to it, and lost big. If someone have contacted me I could've stopped it for a while and lowered my loses.

Recently while playing dice, I saw a person who was wagering with large funds to recover the loss. By the time he has lost part of what I have lost. I texted him my experience, and suggested to stop it before things go out of his hands. He didn't responded, finally he lost everything. Have any of you got such experience.
If he was playing dice, this process of gambling is very quick and in some seconds you can bet more than 10 bet. So if you were texting your experience during this moment, I guess he would almost lose everything. Maybe he didn't read chat? Some people don't care about chat but only on game. Also as far as I know it's not allowed in online casinos to ask players to stop gambling because they'll lose money and etc, in fact you ruin casino's business. None legal service/business will allow you to run their clients.
Also some people with a lot of money don't play with satoshies, they play with huge amount of money so maybe it was fun for him?

We have won 4 startup competition awards so far with this method. Our Team have gained experience at previous working places like Morgan Stanley.

All the signal services out there are scams.. It should not be like this. Ideal semi-financial services are transparent, credible, correct and bona fide.

Come, Sign up at https://www.b-cube.ai/register.html
Let’s transform this scamy industry and left the nonsenses behind us! With any question, DM me here or write to the website contact.
Doesn't sound interesting for me and to be fair it's very boring when I see words Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence and similar ones in places where there is no need of them. What can AI do? What you call AI isn't real AI. If that's real AI, then that must be capable of reading and analyzing every published news around bitcoin and cryptocurrencies for accurate trading predictions. I highly doubt your AI can do that so just analyzing charts means nothing, we don't live in past.
