2361  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN on Move Again !!! on: January 21, 2018, 09:12:15 PM
I don't think it's feasible for bitcoin to reach 20k USD again by the end of this month. Selling pressure that's started right after the peak didn't allow the market to reach such prices even while the market was at a remarkably positive market sentiment, why would it now? I think that we'd be optimistic when saying that prices would loom 15k USD again. For now we seem to be heading much lower though.
2362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ARK or LISK on: January 21, 2018, 11:01:24 AM
Neither I would say. I don't think that any of the two has potential to rise any further, especially after the recent bleeding altcoins had. Perhaps the truth with alts that all new crypto investors need to accept is that they will fall pin price for sure in the recent time after the market starts being bearish once again.
2363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Become an early shaper of a pump and hold community! Pumps start after 1000 on: January 21, 2018, 10:58:50 AM
Oh yeah, another account with zero activity promoting his pump and dump group... Who are you and why should any of your signals be trusted?

Attempts at this keep getting more and more pathetic. Thankfully it's extra fast for people to get burned at trying to pump and dump so this fad wouldn't last very long with newbies in crypto. It had collapsed in 2014 anyway.
2364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2 Tips to improve the transparency of ICO’s on: January 20, 2018, 04:32:18 PM
I think that your number two point generally goes back to anonymity in General. The teams behind cryptocurrencies should be having their names in public as much as possible and that doesn't just have to do with telegram.

Overall, the team of an ICO should be doing anything for publicity and being anonymous is giving a bad image and doesn't help investors.
2365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the time to invest in bitcoin? on: January 20, 2018, 04:22:57 PM
Nobody can be sure if BTC will rise back above previous all time highs again. Compared to prices only a few months back current prices would look high already so you can't be sure if BTC will stay close to current levels by recovering if it falls. My take is that the market sentiment would have to be shifted away from alts for BTC prices to rise again.
2366  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Eligibility on: January 20, 2018, 09:54:33 AM
It's very hard to distinguish these days. Projects have gone at great lengths to present fake profiles for their team, create new accounts to populate their social media etc. What I would recoment is seeing into the white-paper to find if there are any mistakes. This is a good indicator of where the team could have cheaped out.
2367  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see 20k+ again? on: January 20, 2018, 09:52:18 AM
There is quite a bit of resistance at the moment and the altcoin market is pushing back. I think that for bitcoin to go back at such prices buying would have to reinstate a bullish market sentiment once again ebcause right now too many people keep taking profit.
2368  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What can we do to reduce the perceived risks of ICO? on: January 19, 2018, 11:53:01 PM
Regulation will only affect the ones based under certain jurisdictions that its valid in. ICOs that are already finished could potentially move to new countries with no regulation or with loose rules to welcome them in place. What WE can do is not put money in ICOs that could potentially turn bad. That shouldn't be too hard but the truth is that people in crypto are too risk averse while the economy is still bullish.
2369  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Cryptocurrency Portfolio on: January 19, 2018, 08:10:18 PM
That's an interesting design. I'd be eager to know how are you planning to monetize such a website? I know that it can be resource heavy to track so much data and also quite time consuming to set up and maintain.
2370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Signals and Calls Services to Buy Cryptocurrencies (True or Scam) on: January 19, 2018, 08:08:34 PM
Free ones are mostly scams. Pump and dump "groups" are also very scammy and most of them don't stay around for too long because they can't keep up the fallacy that people profit from them. Only the few ones at the top manage to profit while the vast majority lose money in trying to do so. The websites that made seemingly successful predictions over the last few months were mostly due to the speculative nature of the market favoring an all out bullish sentiment. Now everyone lost after prices fell.
2371  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU mining will die in 2018! on: January 19, 2018, 08:05:49 PM
I don't think so. There will always be coins with a dedication to GPU and CPU mining. Vertcoin for example, Ethereum classic and the likes. There are even more ICOs that envision developing PC and even mobile mining to integrate the aspect of decentralized mining in their networks.
2372  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: BITPANDA on: January 19, 2018, 11:26:56 AM
Sometimes banks mess up and transactions show up late, very late. If the suggested solution was to request a refund then I think it is the best option. No point moving legally for 100 EUR. Either request a refund or wait a little more. The money might show up or be returned on its own if you entered the banking details wrong.
2373  Economy / Speculation / Re: A classification of bitcoin investors (by the size of their stake) on: January 18, 2018, 11:03:12 AM
The Blue Whale: above 100K BTC
Whale: 10K-100K BTC
Orca: 1K-10K BTC
Dolphin (The common dolphin): 100-999 BTC
Popoto (The smallest dolphin): 10-100 BTC
Tuna 1-10 BTC
Herring 0.1-1 BTC
Minnow 1sat-0.1 btc

Post other suggestions, but have to be consistent (with whale).

It looks like there are only a total of 20-40K or so of Blue whales, whales, orcas and dolphins combined.
A very small group indeed.
I think that indiiduals with a stake in BTC more than 100k right now would be very few. A dozen or less. Why would anyone keep so many BTC anyway instead of investing? Perhaps we're only talking about enterprized, organizations and institutions at that level. Like, exchanges, funds, pools, wallet services and other entities dealing with bitcoins of others as a business.
2374  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [New] Cryptopia Fully Verified account for sale! on: January 17, 2018, 06:52:02 PM
Ok, so I was ready to buy the account from him, but he also had a Bittrex account for sale and I agreed to buying both, but one at a time.
I paid for the Cryptopia, then he demanded I also pay for the Bittrex, because he could not trust me - so I am the one sending money and he cannot trust me, that sounded like ripper talk.
I told him to cancel the deal and send me back my money, that was the moment he started to ignore me.

So what to say more? Ripper after all.
(i will change/remove this post if he reply me and finish the deal properly of course).
Did op end up returning the money? If you are still owed something I would suggest compiling evidence and posting a full scam accusation thread in the appropriate section of the forum.
2375  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Put 100$ per month in Crypto currencies on: January 17, 2018, 06:47:53 PM
I think it would be better to observe the trends and watch for new and upcoming crypto on the market. Dividing the portfolionto ones with low correlation would be the best option. Cryptos are all bearing big risk so reducing it would be preferable.
2376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Is MAVRO the most ridiculus ICO (that doesn't look like a joke)? on: January 17, 2018, 04:49:11 PM
I put my bets on the upcoming "MAVRO" ICO on being the most ridiculous one yet. It is (likely a scam and) supposedly curated by Sergei Mavrody, the mastermind that created the biggest ponzi scheme in Earth's history, MMM.

Their goal is to support the creation of more ponzi schemes in their platform, as they claim that ponzi schemes are currently facing harsh regulation, being "over regulated"...  Roll Eyes

The effort put into this ICO makes it look very polished and nothing like a joke. I'm sure many people would fall for this but even if Sergei is indeed behind it it's very much likely that it'll end up scamming people once again, as he always does.

Overall, this ICO is shameless about being a safe heaven for ponzi schemes, and likely to support such practices through its core services too. At least other scams about to collapse like bitconnect try to hide it.

It's not true, the goal is not to create a platform for ponzi  schemes. The project is about decentilizied platform for MLM systems. MLM it's not ponzi schemes, most famous MLM examples is Avon, Amway, Vorwerk etc. I think you can learn more about project here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2759488.20
Why would you pretend that MLMs are not pyramid type Ponzi schemes? Are you invested in Mavro yourself? This is blatsnt lying. MLMs and web based ones especially are specifically structured to benefit the few ones at the top. They need more regulation, not a platform to avoid it. So many people are loosing money by buying into the dream that MLMs try to sell.
2377  Economy / Economics / Re: China is going cashless with more centralization on: January 17, 2018, 07:30:17 AM
I watched a video today: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=WWY7A221hwA

China is leapfrogging credit cards to jump directly into the adoption of mobile payments. An oligopoly is in place and as the adoption of the tech rises fast, it's not set to change. Now the Communist government is seeking to control such payments even more and the biggest payment companies are likely to cooperate. Perhaps one day people there would appreciate decentralization but for now the majority of the Chinese seem really careless about p2p tech and payments.

This must be all part of the overarching economic vision set forth by the leadership of China as it seeks dominance and full leadership of the global economy. There is no question that China will soon be the top economy displacing the fooled and sluggish USA and Europe. Soon all countries of the world would be under the great influence of China and since it will have the money it can do anything and everything it wanted to in the international scene. we are already witnessing how this country can be good in one side but bully on the other side.
This could be trusted. It was recently on the news that AliPay's parent company tried to buy MoneyGram, a US based remittance company with branches. All over the world. US regulators shut down their bid in fears of national security. I am not American but I know that if my country had such big companies my government wouldn't give a rip about them being sold to communist state business es. It's one of the few times I see regulation sounding reasonable. Hopefully this will help crypto with its share in the market.
2378  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 17, 2018, 12:09:22 AM

2379  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: January 17, 2018, 12:07:53 AM
What's up with GDAX market sell orders remaining on pending forever right now? Are they trying to prevent the price from falling to sharply or what? Aren't they obligated to fill the order at whatever market price there is?
2380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Telegram the new measure of ICO success? on: January 16, 2018, 04:05:57 PM
This is something that can very easily be faked or manipulated. I don't think that anyone should take this seriously because registration to telegram used to be very easy to be made by bots and to an extent still is. There's no indication that Telegram has gotten rid of the old bot accounts in their platform either.
