2361  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ARBITRAGE - is it still PROFITABLE? on: December 17, 2019, 12:07:58 PM
Arbitrage seems dead already. In the past, it was quite profitable in doing as such, but it's been 10 years. Exchanges have coordinated with each other and now, the prices of coins in each exchange either don't differ at all, or if there is, it's so small that you can't really get any profit out of it. Even trading for a few weeks would bring more profit than arbitrage for a month or 2. Bots, maybe, but it wouldn't bring much out. But hey, profit is still profit.
2362  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: advice on p2p trading on telegram on: December 17, 2019, 10:56:13 AM
Escrow. Or don't bother continuing. Also I see no need to block the guy. It's just a conflict of interests, nothing that deep that warrants a block. Besides, if it was a scam, it didn't follow through so I see no need for it, and you don't even know if it is actually a scam, more like the guy just wants to be sure, just like how you want to be sure that the transaction would follow through. Share the burden of the escrow, or if your desperate, burden it yourself. Either way, once the escrow is set, the transaction should be guaranteed to happen.
2363  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Profitability of Trading Bots on: December 16, 2019, 03:45:15 PM
one thing that people usually forget about trading bots is that they can not preform magic.
This. Bots don't bring profit. Bots don't bring strategies. Bots don't bring the future. Bots are just.. well bots. They do functions that you tell them to do and that is that. Comparing that to a live human being trader, bots would lose 10/10 no matter what. Imagine what Bots can do right now in our current state of tech. They only do automated movements or actions that the user has set them to do. Take note of the word "set". They heavily rely on you, the user/trader, for decisions to do and like.

Sure OP, its working, and that's nice. But that's it. Unless your bot could actually learn AI, it isn't much different from the bots out there, and wouldn't provide much help in regards to trading. Sadly enough.
2364  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much ticket you have till now ? - stake xmas raffle - on: December 16, 2019, 03:10:00 PM
Yup 12 days countdown
Not really is hard im just play safe and control the bankroll more focus just for waggering everyday I forgot for a moment to hunt whales now :p
I have 20tickets already not much but I still believe if it was good enough for a chance to get one position i wish...

Plenty enough imo. Well, you're not really spending $1000 but rather gambling them, so it's rather easy if you often play at stakes. your 20 should easily reach a 100 till christmas, IF you play everyday anyway. And you actually don't go bankrupt. Preconditions in getting that 100 tickets. Still, I actually thought it was only a top 1 2 3 placements for the winners, turns out it was up to the 15th, which is quite nice. More chances of winning, even though the price went lower cause of the split.

I didn't know yet about this, can you please leave a source of a link so that we further know about this contest?
You can just look it up in google. But otherwise here you go
2365  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will the Milwaukee Bucks Make history? on: December 16, 2019, 02:03:48 PM
There is still a big road to follow to catch up with Golden Warriors but they are in the right path.I think they are a surprise this time because I don’t ever remember the Bucks fighting in these levels.I think if they continue with their form it is a nice addition to the already great NBA.
But before GSW, there's Lakers. I know Bucks are gonna fight Dallas before them but they have a good odds against Dallas already at this point. Lakers, on the other hand, could prove to be a challenge to them. Continuing a win streak isn't easy, and once noticed, the enemy team would do their best to prevent them from continuing. If a normal match requires intensive research, defeating someone with a large win streak requires more intensive than the norm research.
2366  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I start earning BTC? on: December 16, 2019, 12:15:16 PM
There are multiple ways to earn BTC. If investing, look for a suitable exchange you'd use, take into account your current country. Some famous exchanges are Binance, Coinbase, KuCoin. There's also the issue of your wallet. If you have the money, buy a hardware one to ensure the safety of your coins. NEVER EVER store your coins in an exchange. It isn't recommended. If you don't have any funds at the moment, a desktop wallet could do as a place holder but buy a hardware wallet immediately if you can do so. That's basically it. Since you're just investing a small amount, I'd go for long term instead of short term investment since short term investments are much more prone to loss of money, and profit isn't a 100% guaranteed.
2367  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't Look For Better Prices When Choosing an Exchange on: December 15, 2019, 11:29:45 PM
Then there's also the fact that prices don't even vary much from exchange to exchange. Arbitrage is a good idea and all but it really aint much profitable in the current scene.
To avoid issues of fake volumes, just go to famous exchanges. I think one of them could pretty much cater to what you actually need. I still don't get why newbies try out new exchanges that could be potential scammers when they can go check out bInance or coimbase. Maxmizing profit is nice and all, but their firdt gosl should be breaking even of their trsdes.
2368  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 3k usdt lost on: December 15, 2019, 06:17:22 PM
transaction was made through tether coin
Not just USD, I meant USDT coin

So it seems that an exchange was used to transfer USDT, and the sender would then send the items? Is that how the transaction worked ( or was supposed to) ? Cause if so, then give up. The transaction happened online, and your friend was the one whom transferred it willingly. EVEN if you brought this up to the law, there aren't enough information to go around that could help your friend. It's like how you buy in-game items on marketplaces through fiat/virtual currency. If there isn't a good middleman (either application/system or a person) to pass through, the person to be scammed can only blame themselves for not setting any thing to protect their assets.

Also note the term used "tricked" meaning, fully the clients fault, if I do say so myself. I'm pretty sure legal action is done when stealing is involved, but since your friend just got tricked into sending it, I doubt movement would happen to it. Only thing you can do now is to spread the scammers name and warn others.
2369  Local / Pilipinas / Re: A bitcoin country with fixed prices. (For fun) on: December 15, 2019, 05:44:46 PM
Checking your proposal, I realized na mukhang hindi talaga pwede si bitcoin sa lahat ng mga daily expenses natin regardless kung anong "fixed price" pa yan. I could not imagine a driver getting paid in bitcoins habang nasa byahe pa. Hindi niya pwede i-convert agad, pwede lang siguro kapag nakaipon na after ng ilang byahe. By that time eh nakailang taas-baba na ang btc niya. I am under the assumption na fiat pa din ang main currency dito ha.

Considering the current state ng BTC, imposible talaga. But remember na may cap ang BTC and marereach din ito balang araw. By then, yung market of BTC ay dapat nakaaccept na ng general price for it, just like how gold came to have a stable price. By then, I think pwedeng pwede na gamitin for transactions ang BTC.

Kung gusto naman talaga iimplement sa ngayon, mag gawa na lang sila ng type ng system na nag coconvert na agad nung sinend na BTC to PHP. Of course, price is dependent on exchange + additional fees (which shouldered dapat ng nagbabayad at hindi ng mga driver).
2370  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: telegram channel with bot on: December 14, 2019, 06:12:47 PM
It's either learn how to code, and create your own bot, or get scammed countless of times before doing the former option. Bots in Telegram are often just made by passerby's and wouldn't really cater to your own needs, so making your own one would be a lot better. Plus, prevents you from being scammed. Either way, you'd have to set instructions to how it is made, or find one that is tailored for you.

On the other hand, I don't think you really need to use bots. Bots are just well, providers of results of a canned transaction. AKA, things you can easily do but you don't cause your lazy. Just practice it everyday and you'd get used to doing such stuff sooner or later. A lot better than relying on a 3rd party, in this case a 3rd party app.
2371  Economy / Economics / Re: WARNING: The central banks are currently manipulating the S&P 500 right now. on: December 14, 2019, 05:17:41 PM
Any kinds of sourcess? Links? Proofs? Reports? Announcements? ANYTHING??? I just checked out the S&P 500 just now, for the past 4 days market and didn't see much about the possibility of a manipulation. If such thing did ever happen though, it's a big issue since the central bank themselves are the ones manipulating the market. Plus, how did they do the manipulation? Since OP just posted a sentence, a lot of questions pop up really.

I feel like the last couple of days have been on the increase and that might be "manipulation" by some people but looking at how it was there before and american economy has been doing decent recently I feel like going back up to where it was is reasonable.

If that could be called a manipulation, then pretty much the rise and fall of BTC every single day could be called as one as well. The pop off of BTC from the 3 digits to 4 could be called as one. Every increase has a reason, and if it actually stabilized, then its just the economy of that market improved.
2372  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price- If Tether (USDT) go down, will it be good for Bitcoin? on: December 14, 2019, 03:58:26 PM
Well, based on the article it just pretty much said about how the lawsuit is filled with accusations, and accusations only. Assuming it is true, and Tether goes down, I doubt it could impact Bitcoin price in the long run. Sure, FUD may happen/occur when Tether goes down, but BTC price shouldn't generally be affected by it. Unlike the past, Tether isn't really the only stable coin available out there, and I really doubt stable coins could impact BTC price that much.
2373  Economy / Exchanges / Re: where do you other us citizen trade at on: December 14, 2019, 02:03:27 PM
Binance US or local exchanges like LocalBitcoins ( beware of scammers). Besides, the problem with Kraken can easily be resolved with time, so I see no problem with that. If you don't mind transaction fees, there's Coinmama but I'd really rather not and would rather just go to BinanceUS or Coinbase. If you're desperate enough, go to other countries. Some exchanges are a lot easier to access by then. If you don't, then either prepare for exchanges that require extensive KYC, or exchanges with pretty high fees. THAT, or wait for exchanges liquidity to go high enough.
2374  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Decisions for a better life on: December 14, 2019, 01:30:44 PM
Gambling addicts are called addicts for a reason, and addiction could lead you to choosing the bad choices in life. As for me being an addict? Nope. In a just if scenario that i'm an addict? How the hell would I know, I haven't been one, nor could I understand how their mind works. Also OP, learn what "addict" means, and remove the mindset that all gamblers are " addicts" Thanks.

Now considering the normal scenario of choosing between gambling and family, I'd choose family. Obvious choice hello? Gambling ain't a career. Its a hobby, a way to relieve stress. Who the hell has gambling as his career? Even players in tournaments are there because they're good, and thats it. They don't consider that as their bloody main source of income.
Gambling at the expense of the family amount to being irresponsible head of the family it is pity that we might have some few gambling addicts who fell to this category of unmindful individuals I hope if they reading these comments they should have a rethink and change their attitude.
They are called addicts for a reason. And reasoning doesn't work on addicts. The very fact that they turned into addicts is already an irresponsible thing in their part. Now considering you're sane, and you chose gambling over family, then your pretty crazy. Just a thought though.

I think the family should be our first responsibility and i think this gambling hobbies or addiction should not bother our family,
A career in gambling was not a bad idea as long as you are disciplined enough in your money or not addicted to the point that you don't have money for your family.
What do you mean I think. Remove that. Family should be our first responsibility. That's an always.
2375  Economy / Speculation / Re: Outrages Bitcoin 2020 Price Predictions of 2019 - LONG LIST! on: December 13, 2019, 04:33:13 PM
popular names in there such as Elon Musk but i wouldn't categorize him as a "crypto experts, influential person".
Elon Musk, an "influential Person" The guy literally just rode his "popularity" so that a lot of people would listen to him, even if most of the things he talked about are kinda of eh. Still, those are predictions so I guess its fine if his name is placed there. They're all pretty much noisy people anyways. Sharing predictions and all of that to the world, which seems useless in my opinion. Just hold it in, or share it in a forum, no need to make a big deal out of it.
2376  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake.com now has a sportsbook after deal signing with BetRadar on: December 13, 2019, 03:58:30 PM
Guess its a nice addition to their current ones. Improvement is always a thing to be welcomed anyways. Just viewed their site and I already saw quite a bit of leagues to bet with, plus the dark theme looks quite nice. I often bet on E-sports and I'm kinda glad they added R6 already. I often do cs:go most of the time but I recently got hooked in r6 atm so great decision by them. Might try the site for a few months and see if they actually improve their current system.
2377  Economy / Exchanges / Re: CEX Vs DEX ? on: December 13, 2019, 03:18:28 PM
A lot of people have a more positive opinion on DEX, since they basically remain anonymous with it. But in terms of being able to trade freely and securely, CEX beats DEX. The only issue with CEX is that they are unable to cope with hackers that attack their system, but once they do, it's pretty much impossible for funds to get stolen by then. Sadly, CEX requires KYC, which is to be honest, abhorred by most of us traders. Which is why DEX still stands as a good exchange compared to CEX, though CEX is much more widely used.
2378  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Research] Crypto holder in the Philippines on: December 13, 2019, 12:58:12 PM
This gave me a laugh lmao. Not necessarily na kailangan kasama ka para maging accurate yung isang survey. They just need ng proper arrangements ng randomness nung survey nila. Take into account na may Luzon Visayas Mindanao ang PH, tas may iba ibang cities and regions pa ang bawat isa. Yun ang need nila itake into account, not you joining their survey.

The title of the article pretty much sums up everything about the ultimate finding of the research. "Research Finds PH Crypto Holders are 45 – 54 Yrs Old, Employed, and has a PhD or Master’s Degree"

With all due respect, I doubt if the finding is truly reflective of the real cryptocurrency situation of the country, the age range in particular as well as the educational level. The finding says that 53% of the entire country's crypto holders have either a master's or doctoral degree. This is hard to believe.
There's actually a high chance na yung percentage ng 45-54 ay accurate, but the rest aren't. PhD and Master's degree holders basically participate in investing already since they are pretty much studying and working, while earning money. With nothing to spend on, investing would be the way right? So in a sense, it could be called true. Pero Di ibig sabihin nun na PhD and doctoral holders lang yung Crypto Holders sa PH. Just that medyo biased siguro yung survey nila
2379  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [What IF] Part 8 on: December 13, 2019, 06:53:48 AM
Well, I'm pretty sure its the site or casinos fault at that point. Heck, they allow bets over the maximum and yet they don't give out the profit from over the max bets? Isn't that kinda bs? They should've at least automatically set anything that passed the maximum bet to what their maximum bet is. That, or at least, put up a warning, a message box indicating that you've passed the maximum bet and you're only going to win the maximum even if you've exceeded it.

It's not the gamblers fault, either way, lose or win, the bet was still made. The casino is clearly at fault here with how they failed to address these kinds of simple issues, since this "TC" of theirs, is lowkey a scam to take money from gamblers.

Clearly my reaction is already shown with my rant.
2380  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC to GOLD on: December 12, 2019, 04:32:50 PM
Well, I'd suppose if you're actually a safety first person, Invest in gold. At least, when everything goes to hell, there's something you can fall back to. If you have the money, trade both, stack both and hodl both. I doubt anyone would actually refuse any investment when it comes to gold and BTC after all. I'd honestly prefer a 60-40 or 70-30 percent on both of them, with the latter being gold. BTC is still going off and investing bigger to it is a lot better when comparing to gold which has stagnated for quite a while now. Plus, we're in trading to profit, so why wouldn't we take BTC as the larger part of investment when BTC is a huge thing right now?
